0:04 welcome everyone Adam the
0:04 fisherman in the fridge it's my second
0:07 channel daily Vlog channel
0:09 it's the daily woo little throwback for
0:13 you today's subject matter is going to
0:15 be slightly on the maob side but fret
0:18 not there is history to be learned urban
0:21 legends to confirm or maybe even debunk
0:25 and it's a nice little throwback to a
0:26 vlog I did back in the daily woo 16 01
0:30 because on that very day I was in New
0:32 Orleans Louisiana a little Community
0:34 called Sidell down a long and Lonesome
0:37 Road looking for the final moments where
0:40 Jane Mansfield who in the 1950s and 60s
0:44 in Hollywood rivaled even Marilyn Monroe
0:47 for the biggest and most popular sex
0:50 symbol that's where she perished right
0:53 along that stretch of road basically out
0:55 here in the middle of nowhere
0:58 Louisiana you can see hardly anyone is
1:01 driving down this road at the moment I
1:04 found the memorial and now I'm going to
1:06 find the car that was on that spot that
1:10 is now
1:11 located here in Los Angeles it was just
1:14 recently acquired by the dearly departed
1:16 tours and Museum and I can now see it
1:21 with my own eyes and on a side note they
1:24 are selling off their hearse that has
1:26 been used multiple times over the years
1:28 to do all the Departed tours they have
1:31 moved into this new building and to help
1:33 fund the expansion and the storage of
1:37 Jane Mansfield's Car they moved off
1:39 Sunset and they're now on Santa Monica
1:41 Boulevard I wonder if the asking price
1:43 includes this guy don't look in his eyes
1:47 it's very hip don't look in his eyes
1:50 there it
1:52 is I am now inside the
1:55 museum that's the car the three adults
1:58 in the front seat including Jane all
2:01 died on contact the children in the back
2:07 survived wow that
2:10 is it's quite a
2:18 wreck it hit the front of a truck and
2:18 since then 18 wheelers are required to
2:21 have the bar that comes down because the
2:24 front of the hood in the engine went up
2:27 underneath the back of the truck
2:31 and now that bar is referred to on a
2:33 truck as the Mansfield bar an
2:37 interesting story my dad was a truck
2:38 driver for a long time and when I went
2:41 to the spot in Louisiana I called him
2:43 and told him about it and he did not
2:45 realize the two were
2:48 connected pretty interesting how Society
2:51 adopts a term that is based on something
2:54 factual like
2:57 this this is incredible
3:36 it is an unusual feeling to know that I
3:36 have stood in that spot you see the
3:40 truck in front of the car and here's
3:42 some of the newspaper articles they also
3:44 have the gates to Jane's Mansion there's
3:48 a cardboard cut out of her there but
3:51 this is the actual rod iron gates
3:55 there's a photo here of her walking out
3:58 of it so very cool stuff very cool stuff
4:02 in here oh yeah a splashes of blood
4:05 still there and that is uh her dog there
4:09 were four Chihuahua in the car with her
4:11 um the you know two of the people in
4:13 front might have lived so nobody was
4:15 wearing their their seat Bel and you can
4:17 see how Jane was sitting here and it
4:18 sheared this is the corner of the truck
4:21 right here
4:24 wow that is
4:26 incredible and the children in the back
4:28 all survived three kids I went to uh
4:30 three in the front three in the front
4:32 adults three in the back kids and boom
4:34 right
4:42 there can't even imagine no and you know
4:42 what the guy that was driving the truck
4:43 felt the impact and he got out of the
4:46 car and by the time he stopped the car
4:48 was about uh 20 yards behind him and
4:53 uh and uh all he heard was a kid
4:56 screaming and he had to get Jane out of
4:58 the car she would have been been sitting
5:00 right where this bouquet of purple
5:01 flowers are and the guy in the middle
5:03 his head hit right there you can see
5:05 where it cracked and the driver wow if
5:09 you look at those photos which I'm not
5:10 going to show the photos in my in my
5:11 Vlog cuz they're pretty graphic but his
5:13 head was pretty much embedded right
5:15 there the headlights are still
5:16 on not just the topic at hand but there
5:20 is also a wide variety of other
5:22 artifacts of the a little bit more
5:25 slightly disturbing in nature who that
5:29 speak get disturbing that guy just
5:31 shouted out from his car normally they
5:33 do not allow filming inside if I talked
5:36 to Scott Michaels the owner and he
5:38 showed me around he let me go up close
5:40 to the car and get some closeup shots I
5:43 didn't show the other things inside out
5:44 of respect for the no
5:46 filming but he did allow me to take
5:49 pictures and little video clips of the
5:51 car which is what I came here for so
5:53 check it out the dearly departed tour
5:56 and Museum and only a few hundred 100
5:59 yards away from where I just was is the
6:03 Hollywood Forever Cemetery which is
6:05 another part another tie in to the story
6:08 because this is where the rumored
6:10 decapitated head of Miss Mansfield was
6:14 laid to rest supposedly through these
6:18 Gates even though she died in
6:20 Louisiana her body is buried in
6:23 Pennsylvania where she was born but they
6:25 say her
6:27 skull is out here
6:30 amongst these grounds spoiler alert
6:32 however it is simply not true 3 weeks
6:35 ago give or take a day marked the 50th
6:39 anniversary of that tragic event and the
6:42 crime photos kind of depicted where some
6:45 people were inclined to think that her
6:47 wig was actually her head and then the
6:51 legend grew the myths and the stories
6:54 completely got blown out of proportion
6:57 and some said that they buried the head
7:01 out
7:02 here which in reality her
7:05 head was still attached to her body and
7:08 I know this because some of the graphic
7:10 photos I saw back at the
7:12 Museum tell the truth I will not be
7:14 showing I will not be inserting them in
7:16 this video you can probably look them up
7:18 if if you so choose but in those photos
7:22 there was just a little a little damage
7:25 up there not not
7:28 here
7:30 pretty pretty disturbing but I saw the
7:33 evidence myself now that being said the
7:36 question must be
7:39 asked what lies
7:43 here oh check out the butterfly there
7:45 and this says
7:49 cath which has a different meaning than
7:52 an actual grave it's a memorial of
7:56 sorts there's a photo of Jane
8:05 but no part of her body as far as I know
8:05 is laid to rest
8:08 here that's in
8:16 Pennsylvania interesting
8:16 right why would they put this
8:24 here you don't normally see that it's
8:24 not something you normally see in a
8:26 cemetery a placard or a memorial of
8:29 someone who either their n or their
8:33 ashes or a casket is not
8:37 directly around their name
8:39 also she was born in
8:42 1933 not
8:45 1938 The Story Goes The Fan Club of Miss
8:50 Mansfield placed this
8:52 here and they got the date incorrect as
8:55 you exit the gates there's a pretty good
8:58 view
8:59 of that iconic
9:02 sign right up there it's interesting how
9:06 things that I've done in the past and
9:09 certain subjects that I've researched
9:11 and covered it's like a weird six degree
9:14 of
9:16 separation to Los Angeles and Hollywood
9:18 especially when it comes to TV and
9:20 movies and starlets and
9:24 stars you should
9:26 have never trusted har they were I'll
9:30 see you all tomorrow
9:33 Vlog over
