0:03 welcome everyone Adam the woo here off
0:03 in the boulder regions of California and
0:06 you can see the elevation that I am up
0:09 on started down at the bottom of that
0:12 now closed off barricaded Road leading
0:15 to the top of this little mountainous
0:17 area and not only am I in heightened by
0:20 walking up that elevated Road I'm also
0:23 in heightened because I am standing on a
0:27 rock I've actually perched yourself on
0:31 the side of this rock and you've perched
0:34 yourself on the side of a rock also in
0:38 hopes to get a better view of our
0:40 subject for today's Vlog but look how
0:43 wonderful and Majestic this terrain is
0:47 it's amazing about California how you
0:49 can literally drive an hour to an hour
0:52 and a half from the Greater Los Angeles
0:54 area and you could just be immersed in a
0:57 totally different atmosphere and a
0:59 totally different Teran
1:00 than what most people would think is
1:03 California terrain pretty interesting
1:06 today's subject is something that was
1:08 discovered in 19 and4 and it is actually
1:12 directly in front of us it's called The
1:13 Maze Stone and I'm just going to show it
1:16 to you it's actually been barricaded
1:18 with Barb Wire and fencing even though
1:21 it is way the heck up here they do not
1:23 want people desecrating it touching it
1:26 ruining history so say hello to the maze
1:30 Stone
1:33 Shong it's the maze Stone separated by
1:37 not one fence with Barb Wire but a
1:40 secondary fence with even more rusted
1:43 out barb wire and
1:46 locks it's the
1:49 maystone look at
1:56 that according to the sign that in
1:56 1956 April 16th 195 6 this land was
2:01 donated to Riverside County by Mr and
2:05 Mrs Roger E Miller now it's amazing that
2:09 I can actually see that far and read
2:11 that very well when I was young they
2:13 said I needed glasses and I always heard
2:16 this myth that if you stopped wearing
2:17 glasses that your eyes would get better
2:19 and you would not get accustomed to it
2:20 so I followed that and I have just
2:22 pretty much read that from here to there
2:25 pretty well so my eyes aren't doing that
2:26 bad at 41 years old even though The Rock
2:30 in this whole area was dedicated in the
2:32 50s in 1914 was when this Stone was
2:37 wandered up upon and people realized
2:39 what the heck is that
2:42 maze carved into the side of the rock
2:46 now that is not chalk that is not a
2:48 Sharpie someone got up there with either
2:51 sticks or metal and carved into the Rock
2:54 itself this maze now would that be like
2:57 a hieroglyphic could you say is that
2:59 what they call call it a hieroglyphic
3:01 hieroglyphic glyphic how do you
3:03 pronounce that word hieroglyphic yeah so
3:05 that's basically what that is a remnant
3:08 of the past and you can see there is no
3:10 one out here no one in their right mind
3:13 except for us of course are out here
3:16 wandering around getting actually we
3:18 could probably get a good screenshot
3:20 let's do this we on the Rocks we'll do
3:24 that of the rock maze Stone okay let's
3:29 see if I can get up a little higher get
3:30 my arm up use my self-made selfie stick
3:33 my arm get you guys a view of the rock
3:36 now I need to actually get down I do not
3:39 know which which thing I should go down
3:40 with the footo hole or should I just
3:41 there jump yeah that's like a it's not
3:46 it's more than a foot I could hold your
3:48 hand you could hold my hand while I jump
3:50 how about I just slide down here so I
3:52 don't break my KNE Cap all right I'm
3:54 going to I'm going to slide down this
3:57 just like this like old school style all
3:59 right we're safe I think I threw my knee
4:02 out actually that little tiny thing I
4:04 think I just popped my knee my knee
4:06 right here
4:07 oh I landed on it wrong I landed on
4:11 that's that's got to be at least eight
4:13 eight or nine feet of a drop from here
4:16 from here to there I think I'll survive
4:18 I'll be all right but let's get a little
4:20 bit of a closer look whoa got to watch
4:23 out for the Slick there and probably
4:25 there are probably rattlesnakes in here
4:27 so be careful of rattlesnakes even
4:28 though it is kind of chilly out so
4:29 they're probably dormant at the moment
4:32 so let's get a little bit of a better
4:33 view here of the maze
4:36 Stone sign this pictograph representing
4:39 a maze an outstanding example of the
4:42 work of prehistoric peoples and you can
4:44 see look at this completely engulfed on
4:48 all four
4:51 sides by
5:16 cool so I should have stood on this rock
5:16 much easier to get up on there than it
5:19 is to get up on
5:25 there it's crazy that they they put this
5:25 much work into putting a fence around it
5:28 why do you think they put that much work
5:30 and time and effort into
5:45 it now I've seen lots of other rocks
5:45 that have carvings in them all over the
5:47 country and in California so what makes
5:50 this one so special that they would come
5:52 all the way up here into the boldness
5:55 mountainous regions of California and
5:57 build not only one but two
6:00 fences there must there must be a heck
6:02 of a lot of reasoning behind that or
6:06 maybe a lot of controvers maybe they're
6:07 still discovering and trying to figure
6:09 out the reason that that maze is carved
6:13 in there if you have any ideas why that
6:14 maze is carved in there feel free to
6:16 leave some comments down below let's go
6:17 to the top of this hill and look at the
6:19 view from up
6:28 here look at this this is
6:28 awesome
6:41 staying over there you going stay away
6:41 from far away from snakes as you can
6:44 check this out this is pretty crazy over
6:46 here next to this rock is a water pipe
6:49 look at
6:51 this what the
6:53 heck look at that why there is a water
6:56 pipe going into this rock
7:00 there's a water pipe going in to this
7:03 rock very
7:05 peculiar very
7:12 strange not really sure the reasoning
7:13 behind
7:22 that why would there be a water pipe
7:22 going into the Rock like
7:34 oh check this out you can see where
7:34 there Concrete where the road used to go
7:36 up here as well now it's all busted up
7:39 and dirt but look at that there's
7:40 actually a water man a water pipe going
7:44 into the side of the rock that's very
7:46 very peculiar but over here is more of
7:49 the road look at the road how it's all
7:51 busted up you can see here's the
7:53 concrete right here the
8:00 asphalt
8:00 leading up you got to wonder what's up
8:03 there pretty crazy I just's walk back
8:05 down the road that is actually
8:06 barricaded you cannot actually drive up
8:09 here anymore I did some research online
8:12 and people were saying you can actually
8:13 drive your vehicle up here that was not
8:15 true we had to hike up and it's all
8:18 pretty much uphill you can't really tell
8:21 by watching this Vlog on TV or on
8:24 YouTube but the angle of this is pretty
8:27 steep going down is very easy
8:29 but walking up I realized how out of
8:32 shape terribly out of shape I was not
8:35 only by walking up a very steep incline
8:37 for about probably what 3/4 of a mile
8:39 yeah 3/4 of a mile give or take not only
8:42 that did it make me realize how out of
8:44 shape I am but also the 17in plummet
8:49 that I descended from when I launched
8:51 myself off that rock onto the ground and
8:54 nearly shattered my
8:56 kneecap which is more of a mystery how
8:58 my kneecap is still
9:00 in place that's more of a mystery than
9:01 where the maze the hieroglyphic is that
9:04 actually am I pronouncing that right the
9:05 hieroglyphic I think so are
9:07 hieroglyphics pyroglyphics pyro is fire
9:11 fire in explosions maybe that's why they
9:13 put the fence up they wanted to stop
9:14 people from setting off pyro glyphics so
9:17 look at this road this road is
9:19 completely unaccessible by motor vehicle
9:23 you cannot actually drive up it there's
9:24 a fence down at the bottom and you can
9:27 see over time with no motor vehicle
9:29 driving up it that it's being engulfed
9:31 and taken over by weeds it's amazing
9:34 over time when something is left kind of
9:36 abandoned that nature kind of takes over
9:39 even nature out here in the the old
9:42 wilderness like this look how beautiful
9:44 that is wow that's a huge Rock right
9:47 there too some of these rocks look like
9:50 like sea creatures like whales and then
9:53 we were also saying when we were driving
9:54 up here that it kind of reminds us of
9:56 the movie trimmers and we were wondering
9:58 if any Gra graboids jump out of the
10:00 ground we would not be safe on the
10:02 concrete cuz the graboids could bust
10:03 through the concrete but they cannot
10:05 bust through the Rocks so we have to get
10:08 on the rock kind of over there jump up
10:11 on there I don't know about that I don't
10:13 know in the movie though graboids can't
10:14 go through the concrete they kind of can
10:16 it depends because they go through his
10:18 basement remember that's true then how
10:20 can if they can go through concrete like
10:21 this then how come they can't go through
10:23 Rock because there's more it's very a
10:27 lot thicker perhaps yeah
10:30 so there it is take one last look at the
10:32 fenced off area you can see how far off
10:34 in the distance from the beginning down
10:37 here which is way the heck down here is
10:39 where we
10:40 parked quite the distance from the
10:43 hieroglyphic Rock The Maze rock pretty
10:48 cool very peaceful out here really not a
10:52 lot of sound sh you hear that that might
10:55 be a CID I'm
10:58 scared
10:59 I actually do hear yeah what was that
11:01 there was a weird noise there's like oh
11:03 a pipe here oh a pipe dra pipe or
11:06 something and the sound the wind was
11:08 blowing through it and it sounded like a
11:10 graboid was coming from the ground all
11:13 right guys do some research of your own
11:15 leave some comments about that the
11:17 history of that and who discovered it
11:21 and whatever other facts you can dig up
11:23 and find leave some comments down below
11:25 all right I'll see you guys later
11:26 goodbye say goodbye bye that boy oh
