0:02 today's adventure brings us to Pigeon
0:02 Forge Tennessee - a very interesting
0:05 Museum known as Alcatraz East I wonder
0:09 if that escaping convict has any earthly
0:12 clue that a sheriff's officer is waiting
0:15 down below
0:18 probably not oh wait there's a guard in
0:21 the tower as well
0:23 coils again
0:26 this is a very expansive property
0:36 it's big
0:36 towers on each and every side you must
0:40 look closely but it's under patrol
0:43 there's a guard up there as well lurking
0:49 they certainly went the extra mile on
0:53 the exterior theming
1:00 visiting hours are as follows and there
1:00 are some rules do not harass the inmates
1:02 even stepping in the front lobby it's
1:04 already a little bit on the intense side
1:07 in order to purchase tickets you have to
1:10 wait in this queue of handcuffs look
1:13 there they're made up of handcuffs and
1:16 around the perimeter there are a couple
1:18 of inmates watching over my every move
1:22 and not just those incarcerated but in
1:26 this corner is that the warden is that
1:30 the warden over there hiding in the
1:32 shadows
1:33 this almost gives it like a like a
1:35 roadside highway feel to it it's like a
1:38 neon alcatraz sign a picture of one at
1:41 least
1:41 this shows the dimensions one and a half
1:43 miles to the transport dock only
1:45 government boats permitted to start off
1:48 had to head up this staircase or the
1:52 ambience is
1:53 very thick even the circling lights
1:57 above me I feel like I'm really in a
2:00 Cell to get to this one it does not
2:02 require any swimming and there are some
2:06 facts placed next to the photos Al
2:08 Capone was among the first of the
2:10 prisoners to occupy it when it was built
2:14 okay this is happening this whoa this
2:18 isn't totally happening
2:21 I hear screams throughout these
2:26 galleries we're gonna explore the
2:28 enduring attraction to the anti heroes
2:31 of American history
2:40 amongst the items in this case is a
2:40 dungeon padlock a shrews violin and hand
2:44 irons back in the 15th century these
2:48 iron tongs were used sometimes heated
2:50 red-hot before they were even used and
2:54 in all honesty probably really don't
2:56 want to know what this head Cage would
2:58 have been used for not good not good
3:01 thanks I think they're describing it
3:04 whether the yells behind me proved wrong
3:13 by counsel for the crime of violence I
3:20 got right there defense during which I
3:23 was nearly drugged
3:28 whatever you do look down there's a
3:32 pirate in there hi Rexburg next to these
3:35 weapons is a pieces of eight a Spanish
3:37 Silver Dollar
3:43 stepping into an area of the Old West
3:43 this photograph is the anti thief
3:46 Association from West Oklahoma and
3:49 there's a couple circa 1880 US Marshal
3:52 badges this is an interesting idea
3:57 rustlers shoes they put horseshoes on
4:00 the bottom of your feet to confuse the
4:03 lawn on the pond
4:05 evening Jesse James seated here fifth
4:08 from the left and Frank is standing
4:12 seventh from the left on the back row
4:23 nothing like being able to wander
4:23 through some silly lures watch out
4:25 though because on the opposite side are
4:27 jail cells
4:37 wanted Pony Express riders must be young
4:37 skinny and wiry well that leaves me out
4:49 ever wonder what the James Gang use for
4:49 their revolvers there you go
5:00 white the shooting gallery oh my
5:03 goodness look at that guy up on the
5:04 upper ledge with us it sound like a
5:07 money bag over it over his noggin that
5:10 guy down there though is that a care in
5:12 the world he's just taking a little nap
5:14 that's his moonshine bottle and speaking
5:17 of there's a old whiskey still right
5:20 here in the left this agents found an
5:22 abandoned still they would blow it up
5:24 with this detonator to prevent it from
5:26 being started up again check it out I'm
5:29 sure you've seen it in TV and movies
5:30 there's a sliding part of the speakeasy
5:33 door you got to know the password 12
5:37 mile per hour speed limits are here
5:39 we're going directly towards the Chicago
5:43 themed area
5:46 John Dillinger has to be probably one of
5:48 the most popular death masks in
5:50 existence I've seen probably at least a
5:53 baker's dozen in my lifetime I guess it
5:55 would be tough to tell which one is real
5:57 and which one is fake but this gun
6:00 states that it is a recreation of what
6:03 he used to escape
6:04 not the real
6:22 some artifacts revolving around body and
6:22 Clyde here behind this glass a few
6:28 pieces that were found at the car ambush
6:31 site also on display there are some
6:36 little details through here they have
6:38 placed tire marks on the ground to make
6:40 it appear as if you're just traveling on
6:42 nicely done
6:44 moving out of that room and into another
6:47 this was used in the movie screen used
6:51 in Scarface without Pacino also a pistol
6:54 and revolver from The Godfather
6:57 there's a lot of movie memorabilia in
6:59 here as well
7:09 the suit and hat you see here belong to
7:12 Mickey Cohen
7:40 tucked away in this corner are some
7:43 items that belonged to John Wayne Gacy
7:46 including his clown suits Jeffrey
7:49 Dahmer's handcuffs when he was
7:50 incarcerated in Wisconsin the typewriter
7:55 used by Ted Bundy a knife used by the
8:00 Boston Strangler Wow Manson's acoustic
8:05 guitar from when they got him at Barker
8:07 ranch President James Garfield has
8:10 succumbed to his wounds the assassin
8:13 Charles Guiteau encountered his victim
8:16 at the Washington railroad station from
8:18 found sorrow and astonished
8:38 extra New York air April 15 1555 they
8:38 have also rebuilt the front of the
8:40 Unabomber cabin
8:42 you can even peek in the window at some
8:44 of the items back in there amongst the
8:48 pegboard by pressing these buttons you
8:51 can light up different areas of a crime
8:54 scene and let you know what detectives
8:56 and officers are always looking for for
8:58 clues plenty of items there on the bed
9:03 that can be used as evidence and then up
9:06 here very obvious are the bullet holes
9:10 in the window
9:17 over the years lots of different tools
9:17 of the trade have been used everything
9:19 from camera equipment and fingerprint
9:25 items
9:28 and of course the autopsy tables and
9:30 forget about that even some board doors
9:33 in here I'm pressing the button now and
9:36 it's going to now highlight the
9:39 fingerprints
9:42 god
9:50 near the water fountain and restrooms
9:50 there is some artwork in this hallway
9:53 painted on the side of this door says no
9:56 parking you may have heard of a
10:00 polygraph test this is the machine they
10:03 would hook you up to to perform that
10:05 famous mugshots see if you recognize any
10:09 of these
10:25 stop by Albuquerque Police for traffic
10:25 violation for bill gates can this really
10:30 detect a lie is one way to find out
10:33 there's only one way to find out you
10:36 have to place my fingers right here on
10:39 this test pattern
10:47 have I ever taken office supplies from
10:47 work as far as I could recall I never
10:51 have I did work in an office supply
10:53 store
10:55 does that count
11:04 I guess not stand under either number
11:04 two or for everyone dirty or wet I don't
11:10 want to now arrived and the judges
11:14 we're not the judge's chambers I'm this
11:16 is the actual courthouse the hierarchy
11:18 of the united state court system as
11:21 shown here if you follow the Casey
11:25 Anthony trial you might remember Judge
11:28 Belvin Perry here is his
12:12 this camera was used for 40 years to
12:12 photograph all prisoners entering the
12:16 island
12:26 John Wayne Gacy painted this while he
12:26 was behind bars famous movie monsters
12:47 Capone's cell was a little bit more
12:47 luxurious I guess wouldn't really be the
12:51 word but much nicer than a normal
12:54 prisoner's accommodations see him over
12:58 there in the corner just hanging around
13:11 this is more of your standard cell with
13:11 the bunk that's a desk the toilet water
13:18 fountain and you can have a Andy
13:20 Dufresne moment if you so choose go
13:25 towards the light
13:26 go towards the light back in yet another
13:32 room
13:41 with some interesting items dockings
13:41 stool
13:49 and over here that is something you do
13:49 not want to stick your head through
14:12 it's a gas chamber here it it's filling
14:12 up
14:14 continuously filling they're just
14:17 pumping a lot of gas into that thing ooh
14:20 and now on to the automobiles OJ's Ford
14:26 Bronco he was behind the wheel of this
14:28 thing back in 1994 during that infamous
14:33 chase and as a temporary exhibit a few
14:36 of his personal items like the ties the
14:38 roar and trial if you've ever seen the
14:41 Warren Beatty film Bonnie and Clyde this
14:44 was used Ted Bundy's Volkswagen Beetle
14:46 and the other belong to John Dillinger
14:49 kind of get a very uneasy eerie feeling
14:52 just looking at this thing
15:01 now that's cool used in The Untouchables
15:15 I'm being watched by infrared vision by
15:15 being infrared hidden
15:17 okay I found the second half of that car
15:20 it's on this side of the wall they cut
15:23 it in half and use it for a display in
15:25 two different rooms looking at this
15:27 judging by this mechanism I have reached
15:31 the end and of course you must exit
15:35 through the gift shop whoa look at that
15:37 towel drop me off with that thing better
15:41 off with a hat t-shirt or even a
15:44 drinking mug or cup these are very
15:47 clever bumper stickers I escaped
15:50 Alcatraz East Oh mug shots I get it and
15:56 if you have a hankering for some caution
15:59 tape you can get it here on the bottom
16:01 bottom shelf down there that's gonna do
16:03 it for today if you're new here please
