0:46 in your areas but recently over 50

0:49 stores in California all shut their

0:52 doors by the name of fresh and easy and

0:56 that is what the topic of this Vlog will

0:58 be in fact right over there is a now

1:00 closed and somewhat abandoned location

1:04 you can see my van is right over there

1:06 as well yesterday I spent 6 hours in

1:10 traffic on the way up to a little bit

1:12 past Los Angeles California and let me

1:16 tell you I spent 3 and 1/2 hours

1:17 yesterday morning driving to my

1:19 destination filmed all day and then I

1:21 came back in post rush hour traffic and

1:24 took 2 and 1/2 hours from my home to

1:28 where I was going was only 7 mil so 70 m

1:32 one way 70 M back the other way took me

1:35 6 hours give or take a few minutes that

1:38 is California for you you got to love it

1:41 but I got some great footage my good

1:42 friend step Shay used this new camera I

1:44 think it's called an osmo camera pretty

1:48 wild so he filmed some b-roll of me over

1:50 my shoulder walking around this location

1:54 now the arduous task of actually editing

1:57 down all of this footage has begun and I

2:06 Clark and I played bass guitar in

2:09 probably one of the top 20 punk bands

2:17 me being an expert a musician I am not

2:20 an expert in any way shape or form of

2:22 playing bass guitar and the reason I had

2:24 the ability to do that is because I went

2:26 out and did it I put my mind to it just

2:31 mind to it you can accomplish anything

2:34 not so much the talent aspect more was

2:37 it the fact that I actually wanted to

2:40 accomplish that goal and the same with

2:42 these videos I do not know much about

2:46 cameras film making editing everything I

2:49 do takes a very lengthy amount of time

2:51 and is not really done in the proper

2:53 fcet but because I have a passion for it

2:56 I make it happen so if you are starting

3:12 Neighborhood Market right here and I've

3:15 actually visited this place on one or

3:17 two occasions when I first moved out

3:20 here before I realized that there is a

3:22 rouse across the street which was a is a

3:24 little bit more reasonable price-wise I

3:26 used to go in this Fresh and Easy and

3:29 buy a few

3:30 occasional items to actually eat and I

3:33 did a little bit of research that's kind

3:35 of weird there's like a weird Echo right

3:36 here I don't know if you can hear it but

3:38 somewhere in this spot there like a

3:41 weird Echo maybe it's bouncing off that

3:43 pipe and some weird can you hear that

3:45 listen Echo it's kind of like the echo

3:48 spot at Disneyland very very peculiar

3:51 look around the side here you can see

3:53 where the old old loading dock was this

3:56 is basically where the trucks probably

3:58 would get delivered I worked at Publix

4:00 in Florida I worked at wind Dixie I

4:01 worked at Walmart Super Center I was a

4:03 grocery manager I was an overnight

4:05 supervisor years and years ago almost in

4:07 a different segment of my life so I know

4:09 a thing or two about grocery stores I

4:12 did a little bit of research and I guess

4:14 in 2013 Fresh and Easy was not doing so

4:17 well and there is a gentleman from

4:18 California who actually worked with

4:21 Ralphs and I think maybe worked with

4:23 ster Brothers for a while I could be

4:25 incorrect in assuming that and he

4:26 actually said you know what fresh and

4:28 easy I am going to to revamp your store

4:31 I am going to make it so you are back on

4:34 the up and up and obviously here in

4:37 early 2016 that is not the case because

4:40 all of the Fresh and Easy stores have

4:42 either closed or they are actually going

4:44 to be closed this particular store is

4:48 completely empty now

4:50 completely

4:52 closed to the

5:12 Stop in the Name of emergency exit do

5:12 not go through this door think it oh

5:16 over think it oh over so basically you

5:20 would walk in through that door over

5:22 there the registers were over there as

5:23 well you would walk inside you would

5:26 purchase all the groceries and you guys

5:29 want to see inside let's look

5:43 inside and this building is now

5:43 available for lease you can call those

5:45 numbers if you want to lease that

5:46 building people used to ride their bikes

5:48 up here California is very interesting

5:51 other places I have lived people were

5:53 not as active as they are here granted

5:54 it is raining today so there's not a lot

5:56 of people out but on a normal day there

5:58 are a bunch of people people out

5:59 skateboarding running walking hiking

6:02 riding their bikes and this basically

6:04 people would pull up here riding from

6:06 into town to the Fresh and Easy to

6:09 actually

6:10 purchase purchase some groceries so if

6:13 you are familiar with fresh and easy use

6:15 some Columbo likee rearch of your own

6:17 and tell me why did Fresh and Easy fail

6:21 now this was kind of more of an upscale

6:24 type of Market in Florida they had a

6:26 thing called chamberlains which was

6:28 around Orlando cumi Florida and I think

6:30 there's like a place called Whole Foods

6:32 and I think Whole Foods kind of started

6:35 to dominate that whole like Health Food

6:38 grocery store Market also out here they

6:41 have a thing called Trader Joe's which I

6:43 like Trader Joe's they actually sell

6:44 bags of edamami which is super good they

6:46 sell these like tuna wraps man I'm

6:48 getting hungry maybe I'll go for lunch

6:49 I'll go get a tuna wrap from Trader

6:51 Joe's but Fresh and Easy is no more so

6:55 say goodbye now to Fresh and Easy and

6:58 remember the the unauthorized removal of

7:01 a fresh and easy shopping cart from this

7:04 premises is prohibited by law and if you

7:08 want to possess a cart from this

7:10 property you have to get written

7:12 permission of the store manager or it

7:14 will be a violation of city county and

7:16 state ordinances and you got to wonder

7:18 what happened to all those fresh and

7:20 easy shopping carts did they sell them

7:22 to other grocery store chains or maybe

7:25 someone recycled them who knows what

7:28 happened to that oh look you can

7:30 actually see

7:39 inside wow the registers are all still

7:39 inside there this is crazy cuz I

7:42 actually did frequent this place three

7:44 or four times in my life I don't know if

7:46 there's anybody inside there I can't

7:47 even really see over the side tell me if

7:49 there's anyone in
