0:32 welcome everyone adam the woo here today

0:34 july 23rd 2021
0:36 as you can see from the sign behind
0:38 myself and natalie it says
0:40 warner brothers studio tour this will be
0:43 the first time i have done this
0:45 in many years the last time
0:48 it was located over at the building
0:50 right over here yeah does that look
0:51 familiar
0:52 yeah but they have moved the bugs bunny
0:56 statue that was over there
1:03 maybe the maybe the bugs bunny is inside
1:03 here as well
1:04 totally new building totally new tour
1:07 it's a lot of totallys so they basically
1:10 have a new museum
1:12 area with some dc comic stuff in there
1:16 as well as maybe some harry potter stuff
1:18 yeah and then they have a whole costume
1:19 section with like older movies like
1:20 interview vampires
1:22 so that'll be fun i am most excited me
1:24 personally for
1:26 the i want to call it a tram tour but
1:27 it's a golf cart tour
1:30 i like that gonna go around get some
1:33 clips of that stuff like that
1:34 see a little history
1:41 hollywood is made here here oh there's
1:41 the water tower right over there
1:43 i recognize that from animaniacs
1:46 someone's going by with a piping hot
1:47 caffeinated beverage which i might
1:49 partake of one of those
1:50 as well i'm inviting you to join me and
1:51 natalie
1:53 shall you now our tour begins at 12 30
1:56 it is 12 13 they recommend getting here
1:58 15 minutes prior
2:00 oh there's chris reeves up there
2:02 christopher's superman
2:03 oh and michael keaton batman so we got
2:06 here two minutes
2:07 shy of when they suggested so we are
2:10 here
2:11 right on time yeah there's that water
2:12 tower warner brothers studios
2:15 okay i think we were supposed to go in
2:16 these doors also la county these are
2:19 required indoors so
2:20 bringing these bringing these back out
2:23 once again you got yours
2:24 yeah i shouldn't have put on lip gloss
2:25 right before them you first walk in
2:27 there's a there's a little
2:28 open area here while waiting in line
2:30 they have a recreation of
2:32 the water tower you need a little bit of
2:34 a check-in once you're through the
2:35 check-in
2:36 you kind of look at a few props from
2:38 some movies a couple in the little cases
2:40 some some different props here in the
2:43 main area while checking
2:44 and then you go into a little theater
2:46 and you watch a maybe like a little
2:47 five-minute movie
2:49 talking about all the the history of the
2:51 wb
2:52 and then you board the onto the onto the
2:54 carts if you have something you want to
2:56 talk about let's talk about it
2:58 uh there's no smoking or vaping hands
3:00 and feet inside
3:01 etc etc and don't ask me for autographs
3:05 an idea of what's going to happen today
3:06 we're going to go check out some of our
3:07 lot areas or stand stages
3:10 we're going to see the friends set over
3:12 at stage 48
3:13 and then things wrap up in a little area
3:16 we call
3:17 action and magic and that is where we
3:20 have
3:20 the dc universe and the wizarding world
3:23 but that's a little later on
3:24 meantime i'm going to give you guys a
3:26 little history of uh this little thing
3:28 we call warner brothers
3:29 a lot of buildings uh we have office
3:31 buildings of course for production
3:33 we have offices for television which is
3:35 the one on the right hand side
3:37 that's where all the deals go down for
3:38 television but believe it or not
3:40 everything on this lot
3:41 is usable for production we will take
3:44 every corner of the lot to film
3:46 including the television building uh
3:48 which was seen
3:49 in a show called the sarah connor
3:52 chronicles
3:52 the terminator show played high school
3:54 very easily
3:56 this area we're heading into is what we
3:58 call park place and it is a nice little
4:00 town
4:01 where apparently it's populated now but
4:03 that's okay we won't hit anybody
4:04 but you may recognize recently this is
4:06 used in young sheldon
4:08 this place on the left-hand side a train
4:11 station fan club area where they uh
4:14 when sheldon had a little job for a
4:15 while all of those people look familiar
4:19 hi so this is what we call park place
4:22 and it's a nice little town
4:25 it is of course what we call a
4:28 facade now a facade means it's just the
4:31 front of the building
4:32 and each of these are that there's
4:33 really nothing on the inside but maybe a
4:34 little bit of space
4:36 everything on these buildings is
4:37 completely changeable that means
4:40 signs even the material that's on the
4:42 walls can all be taken down and replaced
4:44 with anything we want it to be
4:45 one of the big changes back here was a
4:46 for a movie called oceans
4:48 uh 13. and this was the front of the
4:51 casino that
4:52 uh al pacino so they actually go running
4:54 out of that
4:55 in that film yeah and again it's up to
4:57 their imagination whatever they want to
4:59 build back here they can change it
5:00 however they want
5:02 just around the corner is what we call
5:03 hennessy street and
5:05 this is where we did a lot of our
5:06 gangster movies way back in the day
5:08 so we're talking you know humphrey
5:10 bogart james cagney who would you
5:12 robinson made films on the street
5:14 like little caesar and the big sleep
5:17 it was around the 80s though we kind of
5:18 revitalized it for a little movie
5:20 musical called
5:21 annie and that one moves course uh where
5:24 the orphanage
5:25 uh is located right there on the right
5:27 hand side that's the original orphanage
5:29 with uh carol burnett that was one of
5:31 many musicals we shot on this stream
5:33 uh in recent years we had the greatest
5:35 showman filming on the street with hugh
5:37 jackman
5:38 this is uh the opening song right after
5:40 he discovers himself as a kid
5:42 weirdly in like a mirror uh so you see
5:45 all that
5:45 he actually the kid steals the bread in
5:47 front of the annie orphanage which i
5:48 think is kind of sad but you know yeah
5:50 this is new york for friends we really
5:52 didn't go to new york to really film
5:53 anything other than like establishing
5:54 shots but
5:55 yeah we saw chandler chase down a girl
5:57 on the street jumps over like a taxi cab
6:00 uh phoebe found a thumb and a soda over
6:02 here on
6:03 the left-hand side uh so a lot of shots
6:05 for friends
6:07 we also did a lot of shows like aj and
6:09 the queen over here on the left that was
6:11 the front of their apartment
6:13 uh for that show you see them running up
6:14 and down the stairs in there too
6:16 but most of the stats on this street are
6:19 practicals
6:20 so that means we can film inside and
6:22 outside it doesn't always happen but for
6:24 the most part we can
6:26 we've done shows on the street
6:29 from uh agents of shield to agent carter
6:33 lucifer also filmed on the street uh for
6:35 their last season
6:36 spoiler and apparently we have ghosts
6:39 because that door's opening by itself
6:42 uh this green building here where the
6:43 bistro is
6:45 uh that was in pew's big adventure that
6:47 was the pet store that catches on fire
6:49 and pee wee herman has to run in there
6:50 and grab all the animals
6:52 that's on fire that of course is a tim
6:55 burton film
6:56 which uh also used the street tim burton
6:58 did batman returns
7:00 this was gotham city essentially it was
7:02 just redesigning
7:04 adding pieces set dressing street but
7:07 literally over and over and over again
7:09 if we have any gilmore girls fans
7:17 like should i say anything i don't know
7:17 but it was fiora this is where uh when
7:18 she went to new york they just used
7:20 these sets here as new york
7:21 grab a hot dog ran around the corner
7:23 here a lot of the strap dressing you see
7:25 now in the windows and all this
7:26 uh this is for young sheldon for their
7:28 new season they were just back here a
7:29 couple days
7:30 ago doing some production so very
7:32 recently used
7:34 just around the corner if you're a
7:35 friend's fan you may recognize this area
7:37 where
7:37 jean-claude van damme was doing his uh
7:40 movie and they were watching uh
7:42 young little marcel the monkey doing his
7:44 little bit of a straight ahead there too
7:47 and uh there's a group of people look
7:50 how attentive they are
7:52 they're like really quiet are they
7:54 really quiet
7:56 madame
8:11 i believe also where the spider-man kiss
8:12 was the upside-down spider-man kids
8:13 directorial debut harlem nights
8:16 oh yeah there was a fist fight back here
8:18 between a couple people and
8:20 uh also we did the upside-down kiss in
8:22 the original spider-man
8:24 yeah just on the other side of those
8:26 steps over there
8:27 it's a great scene if you watch it you
8:29 see mary jane walking around here
8:30 and then the bad guys and he comes to
8:32 the rescue and it gets a kiss pretty
8:33 cool
8:34 also the same location for the cover of
8:36 princess album purple rain
8:39 was on the same spot right by those
8:40 stairs there so it's
8:42 so many different things i've shot here
8:44 so many different programs
8:45 it's for close to 100 years now i mean
8:47 we're really getting close to being 100
8:49 years old on this lot
8:51 and we feel it every day a lot of eggs a
8:53 lot of eggs
8:54 a lot of aspirin anyways let's head on
8:57 this area we're going to go
8:58 uh towards the front lot now any other
9:01 shows you guys are huge fans of that you
9:03 guys wanted to know more about or talk
9:04 about
9:09 pretty little liars yeah okay well
9:10 actually up ahead here when we pass by
9:12 this looks like a motel over here on the
9:14 right because it was a motel been pretty
9:16 little liars
9:16 yeah it was is there anything left from
9:20 the waltons um actually quite a bit we
9:22 might pass by some of it
9:24 like that jungle area we're in earlier
9:27 that was actually uh
9:28 where the house used to be but
9:30 unfortunately there was a fire in that
9:31 we lost the house
9:33 and uh part of that area so
9:41 let's see here let's see here um i don't
9:41 believe they went to new york street but
9:43 that big gigantic mountain that's like
9:45 way over there
9:46 that was walton's mountain in the show
9:50 all right so we're gonna go not get hit
9:51 by a car and uh
9:53 go to chicago er for many seasons is the
9:56 front of the hospital
9:59 the l train of course is just made out
10:00 of sheet metal it's not an actual
10:02 l train and it looks rusty because we
10:05 painted it to look rusty so it actually
10:06 is not
10:07 but that's where the ambulance bay was
10:09 if you watch the show shameless this of
10:10 course
10:11 was chicago for that and a part of new
10:14 york was also chicago for that
10:16 so this is a practical set so that means
10:18 we're uh filming inside and out and if
10:19 people watch shameless this
10:21 of course is patsy's pie so the whole
10:23 restaurant was in there oh i can totally
10:24 see people in the back there hey
10:26 what's going on what's going on now one
10:28 fun thing is
10:29 each of these windows are on little
10:30 gimbals so they can actually move a
10:32 little bit
10:33 so if we see the reflection of the
10:34 camera we just move the window a little
10:37 bit and we don't see it anymore
10:38 interesting no cameras oh every once in
10:40 a while things get through i mean that's
10:42 what happens what can you do
10:44 says we head around the corner you're
10:46 going to see probably
10:47 what you wanted to see when you came
10:49 here uh
10:51 which is me no it's a little thing we
10:53 call the friends fountain
10:55 now unfortunately we have some
10:56 production setting up in this area
10:59 and uh we're not allowed to go over
11:01 there but we're going to get a little
11:02 closer
11:04 to it now the uh this used to be on the
11:07 warner ranch and i moved it over here
11:08 recently it was originally located on
11:10 another lot
11:10 which is the warner ranch down the
11:12 street that's where we did all the
11:14 filming for it
11:15 but so we recently moved it over here
11:16 just so we could have it for its big
11:18 anniversary
11:20 so what we're going to do is we're going
11:21 to go check out a couple things here
11:22 we're going to be going
11:24 across the street coffee shops
11:31 so if you wanted to grab a photo you can
11:31 grab it here unfortunately we can't
11:33 approach it because it's getting red
11:34 ready for production
11:42 uh it was originally on the other lot
11:42 where we filmed uh shows like
11:44 1776 the musical you see the fountain in
11:46 that
11:47 hocus pocus wonder woman the witch uh
11:50 the monkeys all use the fountain
11:52 and there's even a couple three stooges
11:54 shorts where
12:12 on the street uh the cafe is located at
12:12 the far end
12:13 where we see a flashback to paris coffee
12:16 beauguard
12:17 passing out front with english birdman
12:19 you also uh
12:21 see it on many other shows from uh mark
12:24 brown back in the day to of course our
12:26 big bang theory
12:28 watch big bang through the section the
12:29 front of their apartment we're in the
12:31 movie la la la
12:32 state because these are the windows from
12:34 casablanca
12:35 pretty dang cool
12:49 yeah yeah but i think about like pretty
12:49 little liars and gilmore girls those two
12:51 shows specifically
12:52 they use every inch of this lot i mean
12:54 there's probably not like a tree did not
12:55 show up in that show
12:56 you've seen the film la la land uh she
12:59 actually points to like one of the
13:00 windows over there like oh casablanca
13:02 was shot there
13:02 no it actually was not true it was over
13:04 here oh wow uh and across the street of
13:06 course is the la la land coffee shop
13:08 okay
13:08 la la land fooled us off make our way
13:10 over there
13:17 so according to the guide it was these
13:17 windows from casablanca
13:35 i do recognize this as the coffee shop
13:35 from la la land that she works out
13:41 and then of course over here batman the
13:42 original batman tv series
13:43 it's not an actual coffee shop because
13:45 we have a crop shop on a different place
13:46 in our lot so
13:47 that was all a production deal uh let's
13:49 go inside just watch yourself
13:51 again and we can see what it looks like
13:55 right over here was the counter so the
13:57 coffee counter practical that means we
13:58 can film inside here
14:00 of course a land common shop was in here
14:03 and again
14:03 interchangeable we do take the walls now
14:06 we can make a smaller space
14:07 as you can see the roof is pretty much
14:09 just like you know
14:11 uh parker board so it's removable when
14:13 you put lights up there
14:15 microphones uh oh yeah can be completely
14:18 changed if you want to
14:19 that's cool and the brick if you see all
14:22 the brick around the outside to the side
14:23 this is all nice and real brick you're
14:25 welcome to knock on if you want
14:26 it's actually just made out of
14:27 fiberglass
14:52 you guys have any questions about
14:52 anything so far west street so if you're
14:54 pretty little liars and gilmore fans
14:56 that was the main town unfortunately
14:58 there's a production setting up there so
14:59 unfortunately we can't go over there
15:01 but you can see uh luke's diner on the
15:03 corner there
15:04 and uh some of the sub-pieces they're
15:06 setting up over there
15:07 and that is for a new courtney cox show
15:10 called a silver veil
15:11 which is kind of a horror movie tv show
15:14 comedy thing
15:15 you might want to check that out
15:16 whatever all right everybody on board
15:19 all right let's get out again head to
15:20 the next spot we're going to be able to
15:22 see more of new york street
15:23 the courthouse uh from the 1960s
15:27 batman tv show with adam west was
15:29 utilized here
15:31 uh for the pretty little liars fan we
15:33 also have ezra's apartment
15:34 which is on the left-hand side there and
15:38 i have not watched the whole show and uh
15:41 there was an
15:42 episode where they leave his apartment
15:44 in a limousine parked over here and they
15:45 travel to
15:47 uh this big museum to uh you know a
15:49 little date in the limo and they're in
15:50 the limo and they're driving the limo
15:52 the driving
15:53 but the museum is right next door
15:56 physically
15:56 so they just had to walk across the
15:58 street so that's also fun
16:00 fun with film uh over on the right hand
16:03 side this central park
16:04 uh phoebe does her run through central
16:06 park in here with her you know hands all
16:08 over the place doing her really weird
16:10 weird run and rory's study tree is also
16:13 there from gilmore girls where she paid
16:15 a guy 20 bucks to
16:16 hang out and leave his area
16:19 you can see the water tower fairly good
16:21 from over here in uh part of our new
16:23 york street
16:24 if you know the show all-american we
16:25 have the hangout over there on the right
16:27 hand side
16:28 up ahead and uh there was an episode of
16:31 friends that utilized the green doors
16:32 over here
16:33 that's where rods get pelted by the
16:35 water balloons
16:36 and he breaks up with a girlfriend
16:39 i bet you didn't think you were gonna
16:40 hear that today we're gonna be passing
16:42 the sound stages all of them are
16:43 numbered
16:44 and really i mean this is where the
16:46 magic happens and it is over and over
16:47 again productions are here
16:49 sometimes for years but sometimes only
16:51 for a very short time there is a plaque
16:53 next to the doorway so feel free to grab
16:55 a shot of that
16:56 stage number 25 is our big bang theory
16:59 stage there's also a plaque
17:00 on that stage too the front stage
17:02 currently in stage 24
17:04 is the united states of al which is a
17:06 czech lawyer production
17:08 and uh stage 25 is currently bob hart
17:10 abishola which is also
17:12 a czech lawyer production number 19 is
17:15 young sheldon and number 20 is going to
17:17 be a brand new show
17:19 called head of the class which is a
17:22 revamp of the old series from the 1990s
17:25 stage number 15 was home to conan for
17:28 many many years
17:29 that's where he did his talk show until
17:31 too recently
17:33 uh if you're a fan of blazing saddles
17:34 like i am oh yeah i found that that's
17:36 where the beans and campfire scene was
17:38 shot nice
17:39 i think you've had enough stage number
17:41 17-14 was utilized
17:43 by shameless for most of its seasons the
17:46 alibi
17:47 was all interiors there and uh
17:50 we had a dc uh movie a few years ago
17:52 called birds of fray
18:02 i'm sorry sometime productions just want
18:02 to do their thing
18:03 and uh they just don't want to let
18:06 anybody know
18:07 sometimes there might be um
18:10 that's the big secret about it so
18:12 they're like no don't talk about it but
18:14 then you know you drive by and there it
18:15 is
18:15 what can you do well it was stage one
18:17 for many years
18:18 this is where uh some of the classic
18:20 movies like casablanca was filmed
18:22 when you see the final moments when they
18:24 say goodbye and the plane was all shot
18:26 in there
18:27 they also did uh the reunion for the
18:28 eagles many years ago in 1994
18:31 when they reunite reunited for their
18:32 video was shot on stage number 12.
18:38 now back here we have production novices
18:38 and bungalows so just for a minute or
18:40 two i'm gonna have to get off the
18:41 microphone
18:42 so they're all hard at work so just uh
18:45 enjoy the ride check out some of the
18:46 names on the walls and
18:48 talks amongst yourselves for a minute or
19:07 all right so now that we cannot be quiet
19:07 anymore
19:07 stage one two and three here is where we
19:10 famously did a lot of our
19:12 earliest sitcoms uh but it's such an odd
19:15 shape they decided to divide it through
19:16 three different stages
19:19 and if you're familiar with the breaks
19:20 that comes in a day like my sister sam
19:22 growing pains or alice oh yeah they were
19:25 all shot here
19:26 we're going to go inside and check out
19:27 what's going on it's the roar big people
19:30 danny now boys are all shot here giant
19:32 uh also shot here in shows like uh er
19:36 and eight is enough also shot here on
19:38 the sound stage
19:40 but uh what we're gonna do is we're
19:41 gonna come in here so just uh watch your
19:43 step we're gonna meet in that second
19:45 little area beyond the door
19:52 that's cool
19:52 but uh in here again the magic happens
19:54 in here this is where
19:56 any kind of thing can happen and it's
19:57 over and over again some productions are
19:59 here for years some are for here per day
20:14 okay go into the ellen stage members can
20:14 wait for a couple minutes
20:29 i should have probably looked up to see
20:29 what other productions and shows were
20:31 back in the day that i'd probably be a
20:32 little more familiar with
20:43 oh that's the box where everyone jumps
20:43 out of this goes underneath the stage
20:45 where they always have their scaring
20:47 guests and stuff
20:53 at least i think that would go
20:53 underneath this stage
21:16 in production they'll come back probably
21:16 september and
21:18 they just want to keep the dust off of
21:19 it and of course we have cats
21:21 who roamed a lot who we call them the
21:24 cagney cats
21:25 because uh back in the day james cagney
21:27 was complaining about the little uh
21:29 mickey mouses that we're hanging out
21:35 some of the soccer side but it's a great
21:35 opportunity if you want to be in
21:36 production
21:37 uh because you're literally watching
21:39 production happen whether it's a sitcom
21:40 or a
21:42 game show i just asked the guide and he
21:45 said that the
21:46 star wars holiday special was filmed
21:48 right here in this
21:50 very sound stage if that's true that
21:53 is amazing harvey corbin
21:57 and the rest of the you know and of
21:58 course obviously mark hamill and carrie
22:01 fisher
22:02 harrison ford all right in here too
22:04 which is a
22:05 fairly famous gate because it's been
22:06 used in a lot of productions like
22:08 blazing saddles
22:10 and argo this is where in the blazing
22:13 saddles where they all go running out of
22:14 at the end of the movie harvey corbin
22:15 runs out of there harvey corbin all that
22:17 yeah
22:18 it's a great scene and it's a nice kind
22:19 of right over there yeah
22:21 get me off this picture palm trees and
22:23 all that uh johnny depp also walked here
22:25 for ed wood
22:26 when he was uh walking in the studio a
22:28 lot it was right over here too
22:30 uh of course stage five and six we have
22:32 number 10 over here which was home to
22:34 the real for many years
22:36 we also did uh uh
22:39 the united states of owl was originally
22:41 on that stage but we moved it recently
22:43 craft services stage number nine is home
22:46 uh
22:47 to uh shows like aj and the queen night
22:49 quartz if you remember that one back in
22:50 the 80s oh yeah
22:51 night court also on stage number nine
22:53 look at that
22:55 and uh not a great shot of our stage 16
22:58 with the
22:59 giant logo up there but uh try and grab
23:03 and yes griffith park over there is
23:05 walton mountain
23:06 thank you believe it or not here's our
23:09 wonderful security team there
23:27 uh michael jackson was a pepsi
23:27 commercial
23:28 when he was dancing with alfonzo rivero
23:30 on the tennessee street back there
23:32 and that was pretty much it i think that
23:34 might have been the sunset
23:36 gower performance taupe is the name of
23:38 the color of the sound stages
23:40 and uh it's just for warner brothers
23:42 they can have other colors on some of
23:43 the sound stages around town
23:45 but uh it's going to be just slightly
23:47 different or completely different colors
23:49 so that's also how you can kind of tell
23:52 um
23:52 like la la land they actually walk down
23:54 this street uh in north america
23:56 it's close to 100 feet tall we have a
23:59 new uh program just starting to build
24:01 their sets in there
24:02 and it's called abbott elementary so
24:05 make sure you look that up
24:06 but stage 16 has an interesting history
24:08 it was never
24:10 uh this build this building was never
24:12 this big until
24:13 the 1930s we noticed too there's
24:16 universal studios up there we can see
24:17 the harry potter
24:18 uh hogwarts over there a lot of people
24:21 ask why is it over there not here
24:23 well we're a studio not a theme park so
24:26 we license it to
24:27 have stuff universal build up again back
24:29 here we have paint
24:31 uh we have a area where we can create
24:33 molds for
24:35 any type of product from you know fake
24:37 brick and rocks there is walton's
24:39 mountain
24:40 on the other side of it is the hollywood
24:41 sign that's right
24:46 they never really did i mean i think for
24:48 movies they would do it
24:50 but for the most part they really have
24:51 never uh
24:53 really lit it up only for like special
24:55 occasions you know
24:56 ability and we have the space they're
24:58 gonna come here
25:00 yeah yeah i mean why not uh marvel's
25:03 constantly i mean at 23 we had ant-man
25:06 in the wasp a couple years ago and
25:08 we're all tour guides driving by and we
25:09 see like the ship oh that's so cool
25:12 uh captain marvel did filming on the
25:14 live guardians of the galaxy
25:16 uh volume two did filming on the live
25:17 avengers end game
25:19 and uh age of ultron also for their very
25:22 last season
25:24 stage number 30 just up ahead uh was
25:27 home to
25:28 the west wing for many years if you're a
25:30 big west wing fan
25:31 the entire white house was actually
25:33 built inside that sound stage
25:36 actually let me go around the back of it
25:38 because it's kind of unusual for
25:40 uh sets to not only utilize their sound
25:43 stage
25:44 but they will utilize the outside of it
25:46 too that's kind of neat
25:48 i like seeing things for the first time
25:50 too
25:56 a flavor flav which is very random
25:56 sorry i like bringing real random things
25:58 i was also on stage number 30.
26:01 which is deep that's kind of crazy all
26:04 right so our next
26:05 adventure is going to take us over here
26:06 to stage 48
26:08 this is where we have our friends set
26:11 and this is the real set that you saw
26:13 on the show and the reunion and there
26:15 you can be able to take pictures there
26:17 the sad part about it is i have to say
26:19 goodbye which i don't want to but you
26:20 have action and magic right after that
26:22 with the wizarding world you can get
26:24 sorted and we have
26:27 a ton of dc universe things in there
26:30 but i encourage you guys if there's any
26:31 more questions anything you guys want to
26:33 ask before we all depart ways
26:36 like why it's never the end the tour
26:40 goes on
26:41 well thank you guys for coming and
26:42 taking mark's tour i hope you enjoyed it
26:44 and learned something cool about the
26:45 place
26:46 uh we'll see you guys on social media
26:48 feel free to hashtag and
26:49 i love seeing everybody's photos did you
26:51 guys have fun yeah yeah
26:53 awesome thank you so much for coming
26:54 thank you thank you
26:56 enjoy your time here after the backlot
26:58 tour
26:59 you walk through another area where they
27:02 have a lot of different movie props
27:03 some old some new just different
27:06 different
27:07 you know different ranges of everything
27:08 here at warner brothers a lot with
27:11 that have you know little placards
27:13 giving you the info
27:14 on what everything is as well as i'm not
27:16 sure if a lot of these are real sets
27:19 from the shows or maybe reproductions
27:21 but they will also allow
27:23 guests to get photos either sitting on
27:25 the couches
27:26 of some of the famous tv shows here at
27:28 warner brothers which is pretty neat if
27:29 you so choose you want to get a photo
27:31 you can get a photo with the with the
27:32 sets or with the recreations if you will
27:35 all right i'm going to make some magic
27:36 here i'm going to put myself
27:38 okay hello waving my hand here this is
27:40 me so i'm going
27:41 hey there you go here
27:49 that works there you go yeah it's
27:49 working there you go you do it better
27:51 than i am
27:53 this states tools of the trade a lot of
27:55 the how sound works or at least did
27:58 back in the day some of the the
27:59 equipment from the olden days
28:02 if you will there we go the early days
28:05 of sound
28:05 decided to go ahead and get a coffee a
28:07 pipey hot caffeinated beverage you know
28:09 kind of a winning row moment might as
28:10 well get
28:12 a little warm caffeine from central park
28:14 even got the neon
28:16 up there and not just the neon but also
28:17 the the logo on the front of the glass
28:20 all right cheers he went with the iced
28:22 tea it's not focusing there we go
28:24 you went with the iced tea i went with
28:26 the coffee there are even some screen
28:28 used outfits over there that some of the
28:30 cast was wearing
28:31 about to load up on another little
28:34 well i call it a tram it's more like an
28:36 extended
28:37 kind of golf cart as well to go over to
28:39 the next exhibit
28:41 now for whatever reason they didn't take
28:44 they didn't take us over there which is
28:47 where they filmed you know dukes of
28:48 hazard
28:49 pretty little liars things like that
28:51 because there's some production going on
28:53 but it's interesting because
28:54 there are some other golf carts over
28:56 there
29:27 um be able to learn how to like the
29:27 square where the church was because they
29:28 were filming
29:28 we just like saw some people walk around
29:30 the houses and stuff so
29:32 i'm not really sure what all those areas
29:33 are called but yeah
29:35 well there you have uh oh gosh
29:47 not gonna look anything like what you
29:47 would assume the area allison's house
29:49 would be in
29:54 oh my gosh thank you so much this is the
29:54 jungle is what we call it right here
29:56 uh who was put in back in uh the early
30:00 1950s to the movie called santiago
30:02 it was used if you i know you're not old
30:04 enough to remember but it was a 1970s
30:06 television show called kung fu now if we
30:08 kind of come to
30:08 modern day time they've redone the tv
30:11 show kung fu
30:12 and now the main star is a woman i don't
30:14 know so they haven't done any shooting
30:15 here yet but i think it'd be really
30:16 awesome if they would come back and use
30:18 some of this original sense just
30:19 as an homage to that original show
30:21 definitely since they have all this cool
30:22 bamboo
30:23 yeah why not what is the the last
30:25 existing jungle set in hollywood uh if
30:27 you saw
30:28 kong skull island yeah okay you remember
30:31 the scene with the helicopter crash
30:32 lands they're in like this water pattern
30:34 with all the
30:47 wow so it's right next to the lagoon
30:47 yeah right over there is
30:49 and you can see it's it's what we call
30:51 it's not really even a practical it's
30:52 just what we call a facade
30:54 so you notice you go through that door
30:56 there's i don't know it may be four by
30:58 eight
30:58 piece of plywood on the floor and you
31:00 just go down more steps
31:02 into the back of it there can i take a
31:03 photo in front of it absolutely
31:05 oh thank you so much you didn't want or
31:08 that you want to see i'm more than happy
31:09 to
31:10 come and help you thank you so much now
31:13 this is the lagoon
31:14 you get a really good look at that
31:15 peewee's big adventure when pee wee's
31:16 swinging on the bicycle
31:18 yeah the camera's over there on that
31:20 side
31:21 and pete was swinging from there to that
31:22 side over there
31:24 did you happen to see the last samurai
31:27 okay there's one scene in the last
31:29 samurai and they're kind of holed up
31:31 in this beautiful the japanese i don't
31:34 usually call them those paper houses
31:36 gorgeous look like a you know a tiffany
31:38 style lamp
31:39 yeah but they built a dock going all the
31:42 way across
31:42 the lagoon and the dock had all these
31:44 torches kind of lining it and they had
31:46 that beautiful house
31:47 and the only reason why i kind of
31:48 mentioned it to everybody is just when
31:49 you think of the cinematography
31:51 just an outstandingly beautiful that
31:53 scene is just gorgeous
31:54 it was wasn't it well this is where they
31:56 had that scene
31:57 where the samurai were confronted by the
31:59 police this is ira's roadside diner
32:01 million dollar baby
32:02 oh wow are you uh that was eastwood
32:04 right clitty swift yes uh-huh
32:06 uh are you a fan of the tv show dexter
32:09 yes
32:10 this was used in one of dexter's films
32:12 his writing cabin
32:14 in the waltons john boy's writing
32:16 cabinet yeah but right here on the wall
32:17 yeah when he
32:18 when he got it it doesn't look anything
32:19 now like it did when it was his writing
32:21 campaign
32:21 i couldn't tell you how many thousands
32:22 of productions probably where was
32:24 walton's where was the house from the
32:25 walton's location it used to be right
32:28 the other side of the jungle then they
32:31 moved it over to another property we
32:32 owned called warner ranch
32:34 which is the original location of the
32:35 fountain the friends found oh yeah and
32:37 moved that over here to our main lot
32:39 but that's where that house used to be
32:41 so that house still exists just over
32:43 over there well the there was an
32:46 arsonist in l.a
32:47 it's called the pillow arsenal if
32:48 there's any silver lining here
32:50 he got over to the walton's house no
32:53 threw a bunch of pillows into it got it
32:55 on fire
32:56 but our security caught him oh my gosh
32:58 so that's how you got him in jail
33:00 i would be still in jail but he was in
33:02 jail for a long time
33:03 hello that's crazy wow this using our
33:06 old western set
33:07 uh it's called laramie street back at
33:09 that time so like blazing saddles and
33:11 blazing saddles did shoot here yes
33:14 didn't they film
33:15 one of the the scenes from national
33:16 lampoon's vacation
33:18 the western scene that was not here that
33:21 was
33:21 they did shoot the um see where the
33:24 station wagon pulls up
33:25 right and the guys jack his wheels yeah
33:27 yeah that shot on hennessy street okay
33:36 oh my gosh this is so cool let me get
33:36 you over here
33:38 and we're getting round to spencer's
33:42 house
33:49 right it's real name is mountain lake
33:50 other side of mount lee that's where the
33:52 hollywood signs located
33:54 also griffith park correct yes
33:58 the la zoo
34:29 so when they got hit a lot you know
34:29 after that pilot episode
34:32 and there was a building already right
34:33 the window and you saw over her shoulder
34:36 i thought that's the best shot in the
34:37 whole show that was amazing oh my god
34:40 they repainted they added these steps
34:43 from gilmore girls different door on it
35:03 this is rosewood
35:03 now the the main difference you'll
35:05 probably notice with the town square
35:07 the gazebo is in there now that's the
35:09 gazebo from uh
35:10 gilmore girls um it was also where mr
35:13 freeze had his wedding in batman robin
35:15 no way but in uh hello
35:19 in um pretty little liars remember there
35:21 was a clock
35:23 set in that town square right there so
35:25 the gazebo can easily be moved out it's
35:27 on rollers
35:28 oh no way roll it right out and then
35:30 they would put the clock in there and
35:32 they had those little boxes with bushes
35:34 to go around
35:35 everything with yeah of course there's
35:36 the church from lost boys
35:38 yes the church they used in the lost
35:40 boys when they went in to get the holy
35:42 water during a was that baptism or
35:44 wedding i think it was a baptism yeah
35:46 head monster squad was all through the
35:47 monster squad and uh duke's a hazard too
35:50 this was hazard county georgia it
35:51 certainly was so they would
35:53 race the general lee around this square
35:55 oh cool you were several times
35:59 every single time they ever jumped the
36:01 general lane in that tv show they told
36:04 the general ladies so they went through
36:05 all i think it was 67
36:07 chargers they went through all the ones
36:09 they could get they wrecked them all
36:11 so they had to start modifying 60 68
36:15 charges the very next year it was six
36:16 six six
36:17 66 or 67 i can't really remember but
36:20 they had to start modifying those
36:22 so they didn't total yeah because they
36:24 were just total
36:26 and this is what gave that by this false
36:28 system
36:37 i don't know what they were shooting and
36:37 i can't get us up there today
36:46 don't know what scene it was they were
36:46 shooting was that one of the
36:48 dance scenes from the mask right over
36:50 there yes uh-huh
36:51 jim carrey down that way jim carrey um
36:54 cuban pete yep that was it
37:01 yeah that's it hey you know all of them
37:01 man
37:03 it's funny you listen to the original
37:05 version of that song desi
37:07 from isle of lucy yeah jessie did the
37:09 original version and it's so much slower
37:12 now as much as i just wanted to focus
37:13 this episode on the backlot tour
37:16 and the tram golf cart tour cannot help
37:19 but also mentioning that there is an
37:20 entire new section
37:22 that they have opened very recently with
37:24 a lot of dc comics
37:26 movie props screen used
37:30 outfits some of the characters and the
37:31 cast we're wearing
37:33 all through including aquaman
37:36 a whole section devoted to aquaman
37:39 and an entire section devoted to batman
37:42 all the different versions of batman
37:44 including one of my favorites which is
37:46 the 89 tim burton batman
37:49 there's a whole section over over here
37:51 as well so pretty much dc you know
37:52 marvel
37:53 there's a lot of a lot of things around
37:55 the southern california area dedicated
37:57 to marvel so it's good to have
37:59 dc also represented in socal as well
38:02 and then also harry potter there's a
38:03 whole section for harry potter wizarding
38:05 world
38:07 interactive displays and whatnot and i
38:10 finally found out
38:11 after all this time it has been
38:13 confirmed
38:14 what house the sorting hou the sorting
38:16 hat has given me what house
38:19 the sorting hat has deemed what house i
38:22 am
38:22 and that house is ravenclaw
38:26 yay and that's gonna do it for today you
38:29 got some
38:30 lip gloss yeah i got so much pretty low
38:32 liars stuff i got
38:34 i didn't get any pretty little liar
38:35 stuff but i did get
38:37 a couple t-shirts a tour t-shirt and i
38:40 want to say a
38:41 huge thank you to clint so huge amazing
38:44 so we did the original tour
38:46 which we we said this is there were some
38:48 areas that that they didn't take us on
38:50 the tour so we inquired with a couple of
38:52 the
38:53 the worker workers and the employees and
38:55 they said it is up to the guide based on
38:57 the hour tour
38:59 because it's one hour for the tour and
39:00 then and then the rest of us another
39:02 hour to go through the dc stuff
39:04 and they said it's really up to the to
39:06 the guide on where they take us
39:07 and our first guide was amazing however
39:10 it is it is more of a time issue so when
39:12 we got off of that
39:14 went up and casually asked there were
39:16 certain areas that we didn't get to go
39:17 to they said hold on a second they got
39:19 on the walkie-talkies
39:20 and in drove clipped yes yay clint
39:24 he was he was awesome and he asked what
39:26 do you want to see and took us
39:28 pretty much to everywhere that we
39:29 mentioned and through some amusing
39:31 little anecdotes and facts and figures
39:34 you got to see some of the stuff that
39:35 you were originally were like oh well i
39:37 have to come see it next time
39:39 you kind of knock that off your bucket
39:40 list today by saying it yeah it was
39:42 amazing
39:43 so very hospitable the i should before
39:46 video ends i want to give you the price
39:48 of what it is i can't remember off the
39:49 top of my head but
39:51 way less than a hundred dollars i think
39:52 it's like 65 or something so like 65
39:55 each so it's like 120 130 i will end the
39:57 video with
39:59 the exact amount and very casual unlike
40:02 universal studios which i like universal
40:04 studios but you're on the
40:05 humongous tram tour this is a little
40:08 more personal
40:09 and once again they brought clinton
40:12 who gave her their own private tour it
40:15 was cool
