0:24 1983 cult classic Sleepaway Camp

0:37 I've been walking down this Winding Road

0:38 through the mountains I'm actually

0:40 pretty high up in the mountains believe

0:41 it or not if you look right over here

0:43 this is the lake this whole lake was

0:45 used many times in the movie and way

0:48 over there to the far left is the beach

0:50 shore and somewhere in the middle of the

0:52 lake there was where the opening scene

0:54 was right here is where the infamous

0:57 mowing down of the boat scene happened

1:01 Daddy tell to leave me alone Peter

1:04 started it the way you can tell is

1:06 there's the shoreline in the trees right

1:08 there right over there can we go to the

1:12 camp on summer I bet they' show is there

1:15 well I don't know about that if you look

1:18 straight ahead down there you can see

1:19 that dip in the trees Straight Ahead

1:22 coming straight towards us is where the

1:24 boat would have been coming towards us

1:27 would be such a stti I know how to drive

1:29 these things but man's got one twice as

1:31 big so this is the

1:33 lake somebody help

1:44 the dramatic scene in the water at the

1:47 lake at the beginning we go to the house

1:49 where the kids were there it is right

1:52 there that's Angela's house

2:03 if you ever thought your parents were

2:04 weird or your mom was weird you

2:06 obviously didn't meet that woman who

2:07 lived in that house in the movie no no

2:10 I'm afraid that they wouldn't approve of

2:12 that at all not only do you have to

2:14 watch out for the crazy mom in that

2:15 house but you got to watch out for these

2:16 crazy stench smelling sprinklers but

2:20 anyway you don't care about the

2:21 sprinklers all you care about is that

2:23 house right

2:30 there yes I've always dreamed of a

2:30 little girl just like

2:39 you down where my van is is actually

2:39 public property that's where the camp

2:41 used to be there's nothing left of the

2:42 camp

2:44 unfortunately just some of the tennis

2:45 courts and where they played the

2:47 baseball game and maybe a couple cabins

2:50 buried in the woods unfortunately where

2:53 I parked down there there were some

2:54 people and a lot of no trespassing signs

2:57 let see if I can get a couple little

2:58 shots show you what's down here come

3:10 on up this private road through the

3:12 woods you can actually get a better

3:14 angle of the opening

3:16 shot see the tennis courts down there

3:43 you can see here is a little bit left of

3:46 some of the concrete that was used from

3:48 the

3:55 movie there's actually some people over

3:55 there on the property so I got to be

3:57 cautious about what I film

4:03 I believe this is the Hill area where

4:05 the kids would have run down from their

4:07 buses the angle would have been down

4:09 those Hills there the kids would have

4:11 parked in the bus and ran straight down

4:14 those

4:28 your some more shots of the Old Camp

5:05 right over here is a pretty fantastic

5:07 area anybody know what this would have

5:10 been in the movie that's right this is

5:12 where they played capture the flag and

5:15 they also had the baseball

5:24 game over in there Ricky and Angela

5:24 would have been hiding in the woods

5:26 having a little conversation in those

5:28 woods right back in there

5:30 you go in from this side and I'll walk

5:31 around and attack from the other side

5:33 they'll never be able to catch both of

5:35 us it's actually part of the baseball

5:37 backdrop right there weird still left

5:40 out here what's the matter with

5:44 you I have to

5:54 go Angela I wanted to give you guys that

5:54 were fans of this movie A firsthand look

5:56 of what it looks like now so this was

5:58 the baseball field

6:03 field of course straight over there

6:05 through those Gates is the Waterway

6:08 where the camp was where all the action

6:11 happened oh yeah so somebody actually

6:14 inhabits the old Sleepaway Camp property

6:18 I wonder if they

6:30 way Camp Beach that's where the beach

6:32 was so right down there is where the

6:35 beach the infamous beach

6:37 scene pick up this pick up that clean

6:41 this clean that and here's where all the

6:43 cabins were all gone of course it looks

6:45 nothing like it did in the movie but

6:48 right down there is the beach and you

6:50 know what happened there this
