0:04 ah downtown Pittsburgh
0:04 Pennsylvania what a beautiful Skyline
0:07 and what a beautiful
0:08 day it's going to be a good one welcome
0:11 everyone Adam the woo here one could say
0:14 that it's a beautiful day in the
0:16 neighborhood a beautiful day for a
0:19 neighbor would you be mine could you be
0:22 mine it's my second channel daily Vlog
0:24 channel it's the daily woo today's
0:28 subject matter will be completely and
0:31 all about this gentleman a man I respect
0:34 with all my heart Mr Fred Rogers he put
0:39 his shoes on one at a time just like the
0:42 rest of us a guy who dedicated his
0:44 entire existence his whole life into
0:47 putting Good Vibes into the
0:57 world it's a very unusual statue I've
0:57 never seen one like that before the
0:59 artist who created it wanted to go for
1:01 something slightly different and I think
1:04 I think he accomplished his goal some
1:06 call this lumpy I call it unique when I
1:11 first approached this area I thought
1:12 there were a few people standing under
1:15 this Archway talking and then I realized
1:18 that was not the case they are actually
1:21 putting audio from his show and his
1:26 songs underneath this structure all day
1:31 and all night long and the closer you
1:34 get up to it when you walk directly
1:37 underneath the echo
1:46 listen after a while the Bears returned
1:46 from
1:47 their when they came inside speaking to
2:04 I can listen to him talk all day born in
2:04 1928 he passed away on February 27th
2:08 2003 Creator host writer composer and
2:11 Puppeteer he combined backgrounds in
2:14 music composition television production
2:16 the ministry and Child Development his
2:19 show aired for 5 years after his passing
2:24 and get that bird poop out of oh
2:27 that's that's gross I simply tried to
2:30 wipe away the dung that had desecrated
2:32 that placard now I got it all over got
2:34 it all over my hands I'm not sure if
2:35 this muddy water is any cleaner
2:44 but yeah a little bit better a little a
2:44 little bit better you got me you happy
2:47 now you got me
3:09 wait a second are those Pittsburgh
3:09 patunas the destination at hand is
3:13 across that bridge that's where I'm
3:16 heading wh wh wh
3:26 wh this thing was erected in
3:26 1928
3:28 impressive most impressive I didn't look
3:31 that up I read it right here on this
3:34 inscription if you look over my shoulder
3:36 you will notice not only pirate Stadium
3:39 but an incredible amount of locks that
3:43 have been placed along the railing it's
3:46 a tradition known as the love locks you
3:49 and your significant other place your
3:51 name right on the side of the lock
3:54 itself toss the key over into the Ravine
3:58 and your love will will never be
4:00 Unchained and if you can't afford you
4:03 can't afford a lock just take a sharpie
4:05 I guess and maybe just just scribble on
4:06 there it that works too arrive now at
4:09 the Hines History Center and according
4:12 to this Banner it is the smithsonian's
4:14 home here in Pittsburgh and inside those
4:18 doors is what I want to Feast My Eyes
4:23 Upon there is a lot to see in this
4:26 Museum in keeping with the theming of
4:27 the Vlog however what I am most excited
4:31 about is on the fourth floor it was
4:33 rumored for a while and then later
4:36 confirmed and this just seals the deal
4:40 look at that the
4:43 neighborhood is straight
4:46 upstairs the
4:48 land of makeb
4:51 believe is in this structure
4:59 whatever you
5:01 do don't look
5:05 down I am very excited about this I
5:08 might honestly get
5:10 slightly choked up because I grew up
5:16 watching that
5:17 show and it's about to
5:24 happen it's right over there but before
5:24 we enter his neighborhood there are some
5:26 artistic Renditions of some of the local
5:29 areas is around this neck of the woods
5:32 it's kind of a nice segue all along the
5:35 walls before I I'm going to give you a
5:38 sneak peek just oh my gosh look at this
5:40 look what's over here if oh my gosh
5:44 this this is actually happening now
5:46 while it might not be completely
5:49 appropriate for a grown man to
5:52 cry please don't hold it against me if
5:55 that happens because what I am
5:58 now looking at is the actual
6:03 set from the
6:06 show this is where he walked out of
6:09 every
6:10 episode through that door walked down
6:14 those stairs sat on this exact bench
6:19 changed his shoes this is the closet
6:23 here where he always took out his
6:27 sweater oh my goodness
6:30 this is blowing my mind right now and
6:33 there's the smiles booklet as he is seen
6:37 holding in that episode there and Mr
6:40 mcf's bike it's right it's right there
6:44 as well as X the owl's printing press
6:48 and Harriet eow's
6:50 desk and the
6:54 trolley wow the little lion suit on the
6:57 left was Prince Tuesday's the puppet
7:00 that screen that was in the episode it's
7:03 incredible King Friday VI E's Castle
7:06 looks
7:07 exactly as it did
7:09 so so very long
7:12 ago there's the man himself up on the
7:24 ledge I can't even wrap my head around
7:24 what is happening right now he had a
7:26 love for puppetry and he did a lot of
7:29 the voices is on the show these
7:31 characters were all developed by him and
7:34 he had his hands up in those little sock
7:37 puppets doing the voices making people
7:39 happy this is the Great Oak tree that X
7:42 The Owl and Henrietta pussycat lived in
7:46 and you can even see where they would
7:48 peek their heads
7:49 out oh man it
7:53 is it is really a blessing that this
7:55 stuff still exists and anyone
8:00 can come look at it it's also pretty
8:02 neat to get this up close and personal
8:04 with the props the tree is made out of
8:07 papier-mâché and while it is still in
8:09 really good shape you can see some of
8:11 the bark is starting to slowly Chip Away
8:15 showing what lies underneath it's good
8:18 that it's inside and being preserved so
8:21 other people can enjoy it for many many
8:23 years to come when it comes to the world
8:26 of celebrities you would be hard pressed
8:28 to find a pure Soul anywhere than that
8:32 man in fact a lot of people have a dark
8:35 past and a lot of people draw a lot of
8:38 criticism hate from other people that's
8:42 a rarity when it comes to Mr Rogers
8:45 everyone like that guy seriously
8:48 everyone
9:21 I was talking to one of the gentlemen
9:21 who work here he was saying they
9:22 actually have some other stuff in
9:25 storage you wouldn't tell me what was
9:26 there but there's some other props
9:28 behind the scenes Maybe they release
9:29 more at some point
9:33 hopefully crossing my fingers and if
9:35 you're feeling so inclined you can bathe
9:37 with him that's that's soap right there
9:41 and they have a lot of other accessories
9:43 that you can purchase here in the gift
9:46 shop including if you're going to
9:47 freshen your breath why not do it with
9:51 some encouragements it's hard to even
9:53 put into words on how incredible that
9:56 was and it doesn't really Translate to
9:59 video very well because I spent two or
10:01 three hours just standing there not
10:04 filming even out of everything that I
10:06 showed I just stood there and soaked it
10:08 all in which I don't always do at every
10:11 spot I go to but in this case I made an
10:13 exception you just have to something
10:15 like that you have to you have to enjoy
10:17 the moment as well as film it document
10:20 it in your mind as well as on camera
10:23 down this alley is a picture on the wall
10:28 expressing that we need to help Bobo
10:31 Escape from Mr death Crossing back over
10:33 the bridge again because there's
10:34 something on this side of the river that
10:37 has a few more artifacts that I need to
10:40 check out this was the admission ticket
10:41 sticker from the first place I visited I
10:44 wonder if I'll get another sticker from
10:45 the next spot I'm about to go inside
10:48 here but check out what's in front of it
10:50 doesn't that remind you of the space pod
10:53 from the 80s movie The
10:57 Explorers kind of and side here they
11:00 have a multitude of pictures along the
11:04 walls and a little dining area and I'm
11:07 going to sit next to Fred Rogers and
11:10 enjoy my roast beef sandwich and two
11:13 micro Mountain Dews normally you don't
11:15 see 12 oz in a bottle that's usually a A
11:18 can type of thing and according to this
11:20 map anything that has a sweater is a
11:24 Rogers item there's only a couple things
11:26 throughout all the three or four floors
11:29 but I'm going to hunt him
11:42 down so good the first item I come to is
11:42 just up from the lobby and it is one of
11:45 the actual sweaters that he wore a
11:49 multitude of times on the show and a fun
11:53 fact about these sweaters his mother was
11:55 the one who actually knitted each and
11:59 every one of
12:02 them that is incredible that is his
12:06 actual sweater right there when you walk
12:09 across these lights they start to swing
12:13 back and
12:15 forth as exampled in the mirror that I
12:19 am pointing the camera at see how they
12:21 are swaying to and frow directly behind
12:24 me put ball here watch what happens okay
12:35 it's now inserting itself into the
12:35 wheel heading
12:38 upward I think I know what's going to
12:40 happen I think when it reaches the top
12:43 it's going to go into that
12:45 shoot wait for it wait for
12:48 it there it
12:50 goes this reminds me out of something
12:53 out of peewee's big adventure and there
12:55 it drops Bo oh oh
12:59 check that out that was cool and I was
13:01 completely not expecting this but they
13:05 have
13:06 ursul the
13:09 chanter from The Dark Crystal the Jim
13:14 Henson classic I love that movie this is
13:17 a prop screen used one of the big huge
13:21 puppets what the heck this actually
13:24 exists as well behind that piece of
13:28 glass I'm looking deep into the mystic's
13:31 eyes I never thought I'd be able to say
13:33 that I never thought I'd look into a
13:35 Mystic from the dark crystals
13:37 retinas this
13:44 close get your motor running head out on
13:44 the highway I'm riding this motorcycle
13:48 so stay out of my
13:51 way here are a pair of his sneakers that
13:54 he would change into on the
13:56 show I don't see a marking on what size
13:59 they are but I'm guessing probably 11 11
14:02 1/2 12 perhaps this collection of
14:05 pictures were all taken by a
14:06 photographer by the name of Lynn Johnson
14:09 and they show some candid views of his
14:11 personal life as well as some behind the
14:14 scenes on the show
14:18 itself up the stairs to the next floor
14:20 sits the final exhibit on this property
14:25 and it is a doozy
14:29 right over there I had at first given
14:31 some thought about not even stopping by
14:33 this particular Museum but I am
14:36 certainly glad that I did because these
14:39 items are
14:42 absolutely incredible
14:44 pieces of television history just
14:48 sitting here behind these plastic
15:09 and there he is X the owl tattered and
15:09 torn a North American hand puppet made
15:12 of plastic wood paint and felt who knew
15:16 that those particular products could
15:19 create so many emotions in the hearts of
15:23 children now
15:25 adults all over the world got a little
15:28 tongue tied in there I got to be honest
15:30 emotions were running deep as I saw
15:32 things that I remember from my childhood
15:34 that had an impact on my life that kind
15:36 of help mold your morals when you see
15:40 them decades later directly in front of
15:41 you so close in in fact that you could
15:43 reach out and almost touch them Mr
15:47 Rogers had a huge impact still does not
15:50 only on my personal life but also the
15:52 way I present entertainment now what I
15:55 am putting out into the world is not
15:57 necessarily geared towards children but
16:00 you can keep things at a
16:03 relatively
16:05 clean type of presentation and I've
16:07 always followed that I've always used
16:09 him as an example in a small way I Tred
16:12 to channel I think we should all try to
16:14 Channel A little bit of Fred Rogers when
16:16 it comes to that aspect many many times
16:20 people have asked me why don't you curse
16:21 why don't you use a lot of profanity in
16:23 your Vlogs I am an adult you know I like
16:26 adult oriented movies and things and the
16:29 occasional curse word will slip out of
16:30 my mind or slip into my mouth and my
16:33 dialect in my personal life as much as I
16:36 try not to but I keep these Vlogs I keep
16:39 these videos clean and the reason for
16:41 that is when someone is heavily offended
16:45 by profanity and
16:48 cursing they are always going to be
16:50 offended by it however and I've said
16:52 this in the past and I'm going to
16:53 reiterate it now because it totally ties
16:55 into this even the most
16:59 drunkard beer
17:01 swilling sailor pirate
17:06 Hooligans gnarly
17:09 tattooed
17:11 bearded
17:13 overweight biker in the
17:17 world loves Mr
17:19 Rogers who doesn't and his
17:23 content his content speaks for
17:25 itself so I try to model myself after
17:28 that I probably fail in a lot of ways
17:30 but Mr Rogers this Vlog goes out to
17:33 you Vlog over
