0:15 that's good welcome everyone Adam the
0:15 woo here got my coffee I have an eye
0:17 full of the leaves changing which I
0:19 cannot complain about nor can I complain
0:22 about the beautiful nearly perfect
0:25 weather that is being bestowed upon me
0:28 here in Indiana it's
0:30 my second channel daily Vlog Channel and
0:33 it's the last day for a while where I
0:34 will be hanging out at my sister's
0:36 tomorrow morning I am moving on carrying
0:39 on hitting the open road first thing
0:45 Manana that means tomorrow I think it's
0:48 the daily
0:54 woo
0:54 what you want you you want to play catch
0:58 you want to play catch
1:03 got
1:03 it you got
1:22 job right outside this church next to
1:22 the parking lot is a playground area
1:25 where they have recreated Noah's
1:27 Ark back when I was a child and went to
1:29 church our playground area was not as
1:32 cool as this I wonder if the children of
1:34 the congregation are only allowed to go
1:36 in there 2 by
1:39 two you think when it rains the pastor
1:41 says get off the playground get inside
1:44 or if they just let them roam around the
1:46 ark I'm sure they're pretty
1:48 safe next to this Mexican meat market is
1:53 a place called elaco
1:56 Express starting off with some delicious
1:59 chips and you don't dip it in the salsa
2:02 you squirt it out of the top of these
2:05 like ketchup containers I've never been
2:08 into the heart of Mexico only time I've
2:12 been to Mexico is Tiana which is right
2:14 up there on the corner as you go out of
2:17 San Diego South and you cross over in
2:20 the border and then I've also been to El
2:22 Pasa which is right there when you go to
2:25 El Paso your cell
2:27 phone continually tries to go into a
2:30 different mode because it thinks you are
2:33 not in the US anymore one place I really
2:35 want to visit is in the very far Corner
2:39 down on the bottom near Guatemala it's
2:41 called Biz it's located right
2:46 there one day I'll get
2:49 there it's like you're reenacting some
2:51 kind of like commercial where they
2:54 sprinkle the lime and lemon on stuff so
2:57 good you got the steak tacos
3:00 and I have followed your lead and got
3:03 the exact same thing safe to say I
3:07 enjoyed them I cleaned my plate and so
3:09 does you and you stole all my limes so
3:12 good I was wondering what happened to my
3:13 limes it's a very patriotic yard in the
3:17 Town Square here in Maran
3:20 Indiana the birthplace of three
3:23 different famous people Jim Davis James
3:26 Dean and Cole Porter on this site stood
3:30 the Seven Gables where James deanan one
3:32 of the most charismatic and idolized
3:34 movie actors of all time was born and
3:37 there's even a little star right here
3:39 he's the only one along the
3:42 sidewalk but that's it about 3 or 4
3:45 years ago I visited this spot and since
3:47 then they have erected a memorial to him
3:50 as well there's the iconic photo of him
3:52 in front of the ranch from the movie
3:55 Giant and right over there is the new
3:58 Memorial it's amazing how famous and
4:00 iconic someone can become from just
4:02 starring in three films and James Dean
4:06 died on the west coast in California he
4:09 was only
4:10 24 years old but his life started on
4:14 this spot right here the home that once
4:17 sat here used to look just like that and
4:20 people pay their respects by bringing
4:24 flowers and change and putting it at the
4:28 base of the memorial it says here that
4:32 he was born at 2 a.m. in Unit A of an
4:36 apartment building so is
4:40 this home was that an apartment it does
4:44 say apartment house so I guess that is
4:48 that is the
5:31 after looking more at that mural I think
5:31 that is just famous people from Indiana
5:34 not necessarily this
5:41 town we're going under the
5:42 train we got pretty lucky instead of
5:44 waiting for the Stop train and a traffic
5:47 light we just drove underneath it I'm
5:49 not really sure why but this sign has
5:53 highlighted and put the word don't in
5:56 quotations we quote don't un quote
6:00 except snap or EBT filling the rental
6:03 car up my sister is washing the
6:07 window since you were washing the window
6:09 I got you a treat this is a Reese's big
6:12 cup They just added the Reese's pces
6:16 inside oh my gosh and I have purchased a
6:20 crystal
6:21 Pepsi it's always cool to have these
6:23 throwback items kind of makes you feel a
6:25 little nostalgic they took something
6:28 unbelievably incredible and made it even
6:30 better it's an old farmhouse and on the
6:33 side of the barn is a cool old cross and
6:37 James Dean was not the only one who
6:38 lived in this area down this road was
6:42 the boyhood home of Jim Davis the
6:45 creator of that crazy cat Garfield on
6:48 this 50 Acre
6:50 Farm 50 cats used to run around the
6:54 property I think that's where he got the
6:56 idea for Garfield and there is a a
6:59 beware of dog sign and I don't think
7:01 we're allowed to go any farther but
7:03 that's the house right there where Jim
7:06 Davis grew up what was the dog's name
7:08 from carfield Odie you think they should
7:10 say beware of
7:12 Odie yeah that would that would really
7:14 scare me away but OD wasn't really A
7:16 mean dog he was kind of goofy and dumb
7:18 yeah and then there was nural who was
7:20 like another
7:22 cat I'd be more scared of nural he was a
7:25 boy you thought he was a girl but he was
7:26 a boy nural was a boy I think so and
7:29 originally Jim Davis drew a cartoon
7:32 based on a gat for three or four years
7:35 and never really took off and then he
7:37 got the idea of changing the Gat cartoon
7:40 to a cat and hence we have what is
7:44 known as that pesky feline Garfield I
7:48 just realized we both grew up on
7:50 Garfield we both love taking naps and we
7:54 both love
7:55 lasagna this is like hollowed ground for
7:58 us this is is my grace land sir it is
8:01 pretty interesting seeing these fields
8:03 acres and acres and miles and miles of
8:06 freshly harvested corn it's all just
8:09 dirt next Plant would be soybeans right
8:13 would it be soybeans mhm so they plant
8:16 corn in one spot and then the following
8:19 season it's soybean they mix it up to
8:22 keep the ground I guess fertile for the
8:26 next
8:28 crop it's in front of the American
8:31 Legion
8:33 building some planes and helicopters and
8:36 also a tank right here by the railroad
8:42 tracks I've stopped off at the Statue a
8:42 couple times before but I always find it
8:44 interesting that there are two of those
8:46 the sculptor made two of the Buss of
8:49 James Dean one in California at Griffith
8:52 Observatory which I was just at less
8:54 than two weeks ago and one right here in
8:57 Fairmount
8:58 Indiana always interesting to go back
9:00 and forth and check both of them out
9:03 this guy blowing the leaves right here
9:04 reminds me of a story my dad once told
9:06 me I don't know if it's true or not but
9:08 he said when he was young there were
9:10 some people who had their driver's
9:11 license and they had a vehicle the car
9:13 they would drive around and they would
9:15 run up on the curves through the leave
9:18 piles that people have accumulated for
9:21 trash day and there was this one old man
9:24 in the neighborhood who wanted to get
9:26 back at those rascally youngsters and He
9:29 piled his leaves over the top of a fire
9:33 hydrant and according to my dad don't
9:35 know if it's true or not the kids came
9:37 through the neighborhood tried to mow
9:39 down the
9:40 leaves and the rest is history spouting
9:43 water in the air makes for a pretty good
9:45 story I don't know you know Dad pretty
9:47 well you think that story is true or not
9:48 I think it's totally true 100%
9:58 true check out this
9:58 tree there's two trees split completely
10:02 down the middle on either side of the
10:04 power lines you don't see that every day
10:08 super weird
10:24 looking there's this closed down
10:24 convenience store here on the side of
10:26 the road and what fascinates me the most
10:29 about these is they have an old
10:31 Coca-Cola machine an old Pepsi machine
10:34 and an old school Mountain Dew with the
10:36 old logo machine you don't see that too
10:39 much anymore pretty
10:54 neat what is
10:54 it what is
10:56 it what's out there
11:00 what's out
11:02 there what's out there
11:05 pippy what is
11:14 it who's out
11:14 there who's it who is
