An Uneventful Star Wars Life Day in Disney World Galaxy’s Edge - NEW Merchandise / Photo Op & Food

0:14 sorta because this is a Star Wars Day

0:19 but I consider today to be the Christmas

0:23 version of that and I believe others are

0:25 starting to also formulate their mindset

0:28 with that

0:30 now the reason life day exists is

0:32 because the Star Wars holiday special

0:33 which aired today back in 1978 a

0:36 follow-up to what is now known as A New

0:38 Hope because we just called Star Wars

0:40 back in my day

0:41 before Empire Strikes Back In fact in

0:44 that holiday special which you can kind

0:46 of find there's there's some vert

0:48 there's some episode not episodes but

0:50 versions of that floating around out

0:52 there onto the interwebs was the first

0:54 appearance of Boba Fett granted in

0:56 animated form

0:57 so there is some good stuff about the

0:59 about the holiday special not a whole

1:01 heck of a lot though it's pretty much

1:02 unwatchable unless you like seeing a

1:04 train

1:05 go go off of a cliff

1:08 heading over to Hollywood Studios to

1:10 Batu East and I'm gonna see what they

1:13 have Disney has now embraced this with

1:15 merchandise

1:16 oh

1:18 let's see what else I got I'm inviting

1:22 sleeve I'm wearing a sleeve today too

1:23 because the weather is nice out here it

1:25 is nice here in Central Florida join me

1:39 their holidays

1:41 so hopefully I'll be able to see

1:49 and a Holly Jolly Merry Christmas

1:56 snowmen or maybe the skunk

1:58 celebrates today too

2:18 I-4 Westbound looking really smooth and

2:23 taking place back in here I know they do

2:33 but anytime I could be inside Batu for

2:37 I just love being back there at Galaxy's

2:44 Disney's Hollywood Studios formerly

2:45 MGM Studios obviously

2:49 Skyliners running over there

2:51 golf cart going by but it's kind of

2:53 interesting that the trams have not

2:55 returned yet both the studios and Epcot

2:58 the other two parks they have now it

3:01 appears as if there is a special

3:02 alcoholic drink flight that's happening

3:04 over at Olga's Cantina

3:07 so I won't be getting that later on I

3:08 don't even know if I'd be able to get a

3:09 reservation in fact most of the

3:11 reservations for Hollywood Studios were

3:14 booked up today it's pretty busy oh

3:15 there's chewy over there walk underneath

3:18 the bottom of the Falcon but behind me

3:20 is Docking Bay seven there are two new

3:23 snack meal items there that I'm gonna

3:26 get but right now it's lunch time and

3:28 there is quite a bit of people

3:31 over in the line so I'm going to wait

3:33 just a little bit later

3:35 after the rush after the lunch rush has

3:38 ended there's chewy walking by

3:50 and if I remember correctly which

3:50 probably not remembering correctly

3:52 Rancho Roasters used to sell coffee but

3:54 I can't find anywhere look at the mobile

3:56 app either with Docking Bay or ratos

3:58 that sells piping hot caffeinated

4:00 beverages or maybe they never did and I

4:02 just thought they did so probably what I

4:04 will do also this is the the back

4:07 portion of the engine of a Pod racer the

4:09 theming through here so I hate to break

5:14 which is what Carrie Fisher Princess

5:16 Leia's character is singing over the

5:19 Star Wars theme it really is quite an

5:22 interesting thing you've seen chewy

5:23 wearing the red

5:25 the red outfit there and there's a

5:27 little pop figure and wear it right

5:30 there Chewbacca all the time

5:38 not sure what flocked means but yeah and

5:38 over here in the corner are lots of

5:40 plush chewies with the orb

5:43 you're supposed to walk around singing

5:44 with the orb just like Chewbacca and his

5:47 family did Carrie Fisher

5:50 singing that song

6:02 I'm gonna say the words life day a lot

6:02 in this video and next to the porg

6:04 keychains there are take a look at this

6:07 they have the new magic fan plus the

6:10 brand new ones for the event as well and

6:14 date stamp 2022 so I kind of like it's

6:18 kind of nice when they date stamp

6:19 something so if you were to wear it in

6:20 future years you could look back on and

6:23 say I was there on on the actual day of

6:26 that year not just a vague and an entire

6:28 the entire full Road you have there or a

6:31 hooded sweatshirt with the family joy

6:33 and Harmony on it that's 54 bucks it'd

6:37 be interesting to see if this is for

6:38 today only or if this is going to be

6:40 something over the course oh it actually

6:42 says life day on the side of it there

6:50 I don't know how much this hurts

6:50 I'll see a price tag on this

9:37 interesting how both coasts are not the

9:40 same I don't know if there's any

9:42 specialty food other than the alcoholic

9:43 flight beverage over at Olga's Cantina

9:47 which I don't drink so it doesn't really

9:49 apply to me but I was kind of hoping to

9:50 get both the food options but it seems

9:52 It's only bad too West that has it

10:04 causing up a little bit of a stir I went

10:23 tuna poke right there and also the

10:25 roasted andoria chicken salad

10:27 have some they have some specialty

10:29 drinks too but none of these are

10:30 specialty for today it's something they

10:31 have pretty much all the time even

10:33 though I believe the tuna poke bowl is

10:35 relatively new I think it came out I

10:37 don't know six months ago or something

10:39 I'm gonna get that

10:41 I always like eating here and this

10:44 is a soda but this is what we're dealing

10:48 with or two entrees I forgot the chicken

10:51 salad was gonna have this much chicken

10:52 on I think it was supposed to be mostly

10:54 like a salad and a couple pieces of

10:56 chicken but there's a good amount of

10:57 chicken on there and then of course the

11:00 tuna Pokey salad as well in a big

11:03 lettuce slate

11:05 over here so no specialty food here for

11:09 this particular event for this signified

11:11 day they have merchandise but they do

11:13 not have any specialty food here on the

11:16 East Coast only the West Coast which is

11:18 interesting

11:19 a little ranch on there some Tomatoes

11:22 some chicken

11:40 also it is very busy here today I've

11:40 stated that already but just to

11:41 reiterate

11:43 85 minutes

11:46 standby for Smugglers 125 minutes for

11:50 rise and if I stepped off Planet over to

11:54 the other areas of Studios 120 Minutes

11:57 that's a matte Penfield time frame for

12:00 Slinky Dog it's busy I always love the

12:03 theming in here

12:05 this 1980 is a reference obviously to

12:08 the year that Empire Strikes Back came

14:01 Tours but it'll be a 50 minute wait just

14:04 to do on Star Tours because I do really

14:05 like the Ewok village and the ad at

14:07 that's out in front of the Ewok village

14:08 and all that but I'm just kind of

14:10 looking for some short wait times around

14:11 the park and there really aren't in

14:13 there it is really busy especially for a

14:15 Thursday and I highly doubt most the

14:18 people here are because of Life day and

14:21 should also point out inside Tatooine

14:23 Traders they have some new merchandise

14:25 some Ewok Christmas this isn't

14:27 technically for the specific day but

14:29 it's for the entire Christmas season

14:31 some Ewok ugly Christmas sweaters as

14:33 well as some other items throughout

14:35 Tatooine Traders including a Christmas

14:37 holiday Droid of sorts you give yourself

14:40 a hollow holiday Droid all right I found

14:42 a place where I can mobile order some

14:44 coffee located right over here at Pizza

14:47 Rizzo over there mobile ordered some

14:49 coffee so I'm not gonna get any pizza

14:50 because I just ate or a little bit ago I

14:53 think I'm gonna get myself a coffee

14:54 though from the city's top right rated

14:56 pizza at night it's illuminated rat

14:58 Pizza true story definitely is not as

15:01 good as Joffrey's I'm team Joffrey's

15:03 when it comes to wdw stuff but just the

15:05 the house blend they have at other

15:06 places I mean I'll do Starbucks but I'm

15:08 definitely I'm definitely team Joffrey's

15:10 as far as the flavor goes but this will

15:12 do the trick I could not find earlier I

15:14 could not find anything over here in

15:17 Galaxy's Edge as far as coffee so gotta

15:20 stuff off planet

15:22 for some reason like I could have swore

15:23 they had coffee in here before there's a

15:25 lightsaber photo up over here and also

15:27 is this the first day of the photo op

16:10 are in here very very interesting and I

16:12 believe some of these items have been in

16:14 here for a while but this one here this

16:19 I don't think I've ever seen that pencil

16:21 set or this little like knapsack oh

16:24 they're salacious right there oh look at

16:26 this there's like a bunch of Miniatures

16:28 of salacious and his little buddy over

16:30 there and up on the Shelf this has to be

16:32 the most terrifying Ewok I've ever seen

16:41 that Ewok right there if you saw that

16:41 Ewok out on the street somewhere and he

16:44 was not smiling he would probably run

16:48 the other eye that is on something out

16:50 of a horror film I don't know why it's

16:52 frightening to me I've now stopped

18:47 R2D2 put their hand prints and their

18:49 feet print while their feet prints right

18:51 here on the ground yeah I've just been

18:52 kind of wandering around waiting for a

18:54 Nightfall to rear its head because I

18:55 feel like after dark maybe some

18:57 lightsabers will come out back in Bat

18:59 too so I'm just for now I'm just kind of

19:01 wandering around the park and what do

19:03 you know Pizza Rizzo's to the rescue

19:04 again my phone is about out of juice I'm

19:07 gonna get my buy myself a fuel Rod once

19:09 you buy one for 30 you can replace it

19:11 over and over and over again and fuel

19:13 rods are kind of nice they just kind of

19:14 tuck in your pocket so I'm gonna go

19:16 ahead and just purchase a fuel up for 30

19:17 that is two times today this rat Rizzo

19:21 the rat has come in handy and I think

19:24 it's nice about this too it has

19:25 different accessories I have an iPhone

19:26 so you can plug it in charge it up just

19:29 keep it cozy in your pocket and then

19:31 when it's time for a new one it's a free

19:32 replacement or at least at least it used

19:34 to be I haven't bought I haven't carried

19:36 a fuel rod in a while but

19:38 sometimes I just get tired of my phone

19:39 kind of running out of juice also look

19:42 at these cups right here that's kind of

19:44 nice little retro I don't think they

19:45 sell these I think this is just for

19:47 display as well as these yo-yos are keep

19:50 it moving

19:57 they have definitely been on patrol

20:01 the corner I haven't seen Chewie out too

20:15 if Chewie had one of his red robes

20:38 suspended resistance

20:41 things like rise of the resistance went

20:44 down it is now what I would consider

20:48 the Sun is going down and Nightfall is

20:50 almost upon us

21:04 oh there's a BBH no we're even going

21:04 towards the fountain yeah I'm really

21:06 hoping here very soon that a lot of

21:08 Savers come out starting to see quite a

21:09 few people with the red robes on for the

21:12 day but all in all it's been pretty

21:14 mellow but I'm hoping now that Nightfall

21:16 is out it starts to get a little

21:19 a little Wilder one thing that is very

21:22 noticeable Disneyland on the west coast

21:24 does a lot more than Central Florida

21:28 does for Life day and there are groups

21:30 out there or organize things online to

21:33 try to get people showing up more than

21:36 there is here now it happens here but it

21:38 is definitely a lot more noticeable out

21:41 there with regards to the food over at

21:43 Doc eBay more options there at least

21:45 have the merch here so you never know

21:46 over time and that obviously out in

21:49 California that is more of an AP an

21:51 annual pass holder Park their annual

21:52 pass holders here but it's more of a

21:54 touristy thing so you don't get quite

21:56 the the community of batuians might not

22:00 be as

22:01 as intense for a lifetime but I think

22:03 that will change over time so I'm

22:05 definitely noticing a difference I've

22:06 never been to a life day here I've only

22:07 been to the ones out there now she's got

22:10 the full on lightsaber twirl going on

22:12 there nice I mean they do have the orb

22:15 photo op look at this

22:17 Jedi or a Sith so you just bought the

22:19 parts from the Droid Depot and then just

22:21 painted it and customize it yep

22:28 it's awesome thank you does he have a

22:30 name I call him Chop House what is it

22:42 built off of a chopper Droid so okay

22:45 he has Instagram page with his brother

23:59 and at this point I think I pretty much

23:59 showed everything that's happening

24:01 Nightfall has already happened

24:04 it's about 7 P.M right now it gets dark

24:06 really early check out the lights up

24:07 there popping up above the Chinese

24:09 Theater I think I'm gonna go home and

24:13 watch The Life Day special I have a copy

24:16 of it I showed some food

24:18 non-specialty food Anaheim has that

24:20 especially food here but I had some

24:22 delicious food from dockingbat Strode a

24:25 vast amount of merchandise showed a few

24:27 people who showed up with some of their

24:29 orbs lightsabers things like that and I

24:32 walked a lot today I need to check to

24:33 see how many steps I walked I walked

24:35 around Batu East over and over and over

24:38 just trying to find

24:40 something that we would jump out at me

24:43 and go hey I'm right here I'm life day

24:46 but there wasn't a whole heck of a lot

24:47 even though there are a lot of people

24:49 from the community out here in you know

24:51 in their outfits dressed up I don't call

24:53 it cosplay or costumes but more or less

24:56 that's pretty much what it is with their

24:57 lightsabers having a good time it's

24:59 always a good time in here interesting

25:01 thing is a few years ago I think it was

25:03 three years ago the first year I believe

25:05 it was that Galaxy's Edge was open in

25:08 Anaheim when it fell on this day

25:10 November 17th of that year and

25:13 on a whim I went there for Life day

25:17 thinking there something might happen

25:19 little did I know is going to be one of

25:22 the best events that happened in Star

25:24 Wars that I've ever been to

25:26 blew my mind how Wild it was this today

25:31 completely the opposite yes things

25:34 happen

25:35 it was a good time but nowhere near what

25:39 I expected

25:41 just saying all right I'm gonna head out

25:43 look up there lurking in the trees it's

25:46 an ad app at the Ewok village tucked

25:49 away over there that thing is awesome

25:52 right there especially at night I always

25:56 love Yeah The Parks at night is Just

25:57 Awesome I think Galaxy's Edge is special

25:59 you know especially looks better at

26:00 night than it does during the day

26:01 granted this is not in Galaxy's Edge

26:06 walking kind of like where the former

26:07 streets of America was is but yeah oh
