A Bad Weather Travel Day To Los Angeles - Delayed Flights & LATE Night Check In To Disneyland Hotel
Stormy Travel Day To Los Angeles
Transcript
0:03
Welcome everyone. Adam the Woo here. As
0:03
the recording of this Tuesday, July 15,
0:07
2025, I'm about to depart my homestead
0:10
here in Celebration, Florida, make my
0:12
way to the Orlando International Airport
0:15
where I will not be utilizing the
0:17
international gates. I will not be
0:19
leaving the country on this trip. I am
0:22
going to Los Angeles, LAX, MCO
0:27
to LAX, and then from there, arriving
0:30
much later this evening. It's an 8:00
0:33
flight out of Orlando.
0:35
Lose or gain 3 hours going westward,
0:38
probably a 5-h hour flight, putting me
0:40
there around 1000 p.m. California time,
0:43
which would be 1:00 a.m. Florida time.
0:47
If you've kept up with that, pretty
0:49
simple to to figure out for me
0:51
especially because used to international
0:53
with the jet lag going all the way
0:55
across the world one way, all the way
0:57
across the world the other way. Paris is
0:58
a long way that direction. Well, which
1:01
way am I standing? Paris is a long way
1:03
that way. South Korea is a long way that
1:06
way. Both completely different massive
1:09
time zones. So, I can handle 3 hours.
1:11
I'm inviting you to join me. It's a
1:13
travel day, flight day. I do not have a
1:16
window seat sitting on an aisle seat.
1:18
So, we'll be filming out the side of the
1:20
window. Film some other things. Also,
1:22
we'll be checking into the Disneyland
1:24
Hotel later this evening. Probably
1:26
around 11:00 by the time I land and get
1:29
over to the Disneyland property.
1:31
Checking in. I'm staying at the DVC
1:32
Resort, Disney Vacation Club wing if you
1:36
will, the new tower of the Disneyland
1:38
hotel. So, I'll give a room tour and all
1:40
that and just see where the day and or
1:43
night and time change leads. Join me.
1:45
Long intro, shall you? This luggage has
1:49
definitely seen pretty good aspects of
1:52
the world so far. Been utilizing this
1:55
for a while now. Used to have a DVC
1:57
backpack, Disney backpack. It kind of
1:58
wasn't all that great for storing
2:00
things. This I like a lot more. Has lots
2:03
of pockets, lots of cushion, fits a lot
2:06
of stuff. And then I of course I got
2:08
this, which has really been useful. This
2:11
thing has seen some miles and some
2:15
walking and some very dirty, nasty
2:19
airport and/or city sidewalks. In fact,
2:22
when I get home, I always will teeter
2:26
this up on the side of either the couch
2:28
or like a a stool or whatever. And I
2:31
will spray the bottom of the wheels with
2:34
Lysol because those are probably the
2:36
filthiest wheels on Earth
2:40
till I Lysol them. I've just gotten
2:42
dropped off, took an Uber. In the past,
2:45
I used to drive my car and then park
2:49
on site and then I just started taking a
2:52
ride share.
2:53
Kind of works out to be about the same.
2:55
It depending depending on how long
2:57
you're gone. Sometimes if you park
2:58
offsite over by the 7-Eleven offsite and
3:01
take the shuttle over it's like $15 a
3:03
day. So if you're gone for a week that's
3:05
like what $100. Uber ride here, Uber
3:07
ride back probably cost you about the
3:10
same. But if you're gone longer than a
3:12
week is obviously cheaper to do ride
3:15
share.
3:17
And there's just peace of mind knowing
3:18
that
3:20
the car is in the garage
3:23
and not somewhere else. All right,
3:26
heading in.
3:32
Oh, you know, last time I was here,
3:32
whenever that was, this was out of
3:34
service then. Still is. Oh, no, it's
3:37
not. That's a It's a They uh Okay, it's
3:39
not true. That's a falsehood.
3:41
Originally, I had another flight this
3:43
morning at 10:00 a.m.
3:46
Opted out of it. Wow, there's a lot of
3:47
red up there.
3:51
There's a lot of delays.
3:54
Originally, I was going to fly out at
3:55
10:00. Last night, I hung out with my
3:57
parents. It's still pretty late. They
3:58
were still staying at the Riviera,
4:00
celebrating their 56th wedding
4:02
anniversary. They stayed there a couple
4:03
nights. So, I went over there last
4:05
night, swam around the pool at the
4:06
Riviera, my mom and I. And then
4:09
afterwards, my mom, my dad, and myself,
4:11
we watched the Home Run Derby cuz it's
4:13
the couple days of the All-Star game. In
4:15
fact, the All-Star game is tonight,
4:17
which is going to work out pretty good
4:18
because when I'm on the flight, the
4:20
All-Star game will be on ESPN and Delta
4:22
has ESPN on the TVs in front of me. So,
4:24
I'll be able to watch that the whole
4:25
flight to LA.
4:29
Where am I going here? I know I'm going
4:30
to LA, but 8:10 p.m. right there. That
4:34
says on time. Okay. Yeah, the two at the
4:37
bottom. There's one at 7:06 a.m.
4:41
in the morning and then one tonight at
4:43
8:10 p.m. Yep. 7:30
4:47
is loading.
4:53
It's 555 right now. Look at that on the
4:53
nose. 555. Doesn't look too bad in here.
4:56
The line's not too bad.
5:00
Yeah, it'll be nice to watch baseball on
5:04
a TV in front of me. Normally, I'll have
5:05
to connect to the Wi-Fi and use the
5:08
streaming platforms I have to watch the
5:09
Ray cuz they're hardly ever on, you
5:11
know, ESPN and stuff on the planes.
5:16
But the Ray's got four players in the
5:18
All-Star game this year.
5:24
Jonathan, let's see if I remember this
5:24
correctly. Jonathan Ronda,
5:27
Junior Cavaniro, Drew Rasmusen,
5:31
and Brandon La. I think Brandon's on the
5:34
IIL though, so I don't know if he'll be
5:36
playing, but he's there. Junior came in
5:38
second place last night in the All-Star
5:40
game. The Rays
5:42
almost had their first winner in an in a
5:44
home run derby. That's what I meant to
5:46
say. Came really close, taking it, but
5:48
came in second place. Not bad,
5:50
especially when the announcers at the
5:52
very beginning beforehand had him pegged
5:55
to come in seventh place out of the
5:56
eight people. They didn't give him any
5:57
credit, but he did prove everybody
5:59
wrong. Love it. Gate 72. I've gone
6:02
through the checkpoints.
6:04
You no longer, at least in the US, I
6:07
don't know about other countries, but
6:08
here in the US, no longer have to take
6:11
your shoes off. I can leave my Crocs on.
6:15
I always try to do travel days in Crocs.
6:26
It's a little more. Oh. Oh,
6:26
72.
6:27
It's over here somewhere.
6:38
Okay, let's look at here. Los Angeles.
6:38
It's not even on there.
6:46
Maybe on the next one. Oh, here we go.
6:46
Right here. Here it is. Right there.
6:47
Gate 72. I think I waited a grand total
6:50
of about 3 minutes to go through
6:52
security. Very quick.
7:00
Please stand clear of the doors and hold
7:00
on to the handrails.
7:02
>> Everybody else exited off. Walking off
7:04
now through this little corral over here
7:08
and heading into my gate section.
7:12
Little chocolate bars down here have
7:14
different different moods that you can
7:16
choose when you're eating the chocolate
7:18
there. And of course, you know you're in
7:21
Florida when you can get a Choco Gator
7:24
and some gourmet saltwater taffy with
7:26
the Florida map on it right there.
7:30
I always like all the gummy stuff.
7:34
How about a slime licker? Can lick some
7:37
slime. Gummy frog. Oh, gummy shark. I
7:40
like that. Never seen that one before.
7:42
I'm always fascinated by all the gummy
7:43
products.
7:52
And lots of gummy bears, horos
7:52
saw a lot of those when I was over in
7:54
London,
7:55
early in England. Pretty prominent
7:57
there.
8:07
There you go. There's an old Nintendo
8:07
NES controller.
8:09
I have about another hour till my flight
8:11
boards. Could go to Starbucks or I could
8:13
just walk up in the Delta lounge and get
8:16
a cup of Joe. I think that's what I'm
8:17
going to do. I'm going to get a cup of
8:18
coffee up there.
8:20
Walk up the stairs to taking the
8:22
elevator.
8:23
No food on the agenda before the flight,
8:25
but coffee would be good.
8:38
The different times over here. Tokyo, S.
8:38
Paulo, Orlando, Paris, and Los Angeles.
8:42
Look at that. Going to Los Angeles. And
8:43
I was just in Paris. It's kind of a kind
8:46
of appropriate this is on the wall cuz
8:48
I'm here at Walt Disney World area. You
8:51
know, Orlando's known for their Disney,
8:53
Walt Disney World. I got Mickey Mouse
8:55
here by Walt Disney right there. And I'm
8:57
heading to LAX and then down to Anaheim
9:00
to Walt's original Magic Kingdom. Got my
9:03
coffee there. Got my napkin there. And I
9:06
got my seat right here. Got a little
9:08
time. There's also a photo of some
9:11
flowers.
9:17
All right, heading out now. Also, they
9:17
got these stansions here on the way out.
9:19
Going back, kind of head over to my
9:20
gates. Shout out to World of Micah,
9:22
which wearing one of his hats. End up
9:25
ordering one of his hats. World of Micah
9:28
I always like to
9:31
wear ball caps at friends of mine, but
9:32
he is the reason ago we did a video
9:35
talking about MGM Studios history years
9:37
and years and years ago, and he was
9:39
describing the word stansion. I know I
9:41
misuse it, but I never had heard that
9:43
word until he told me. So, roll the mic
9:47
is the reason I started using the word
9:48
stansion, and now I use it completely
9:50
incorrectly. All right, this is gate 74.
9:53
Gate 72 is right over here. My plane
9:55
should be arriving soon. Boards in 20
9:57
minutes. You know, I see a worker over
10:00
there with the little batons and the the
10:04
light up
10:07
little handheld light up what do you
10:08
call those? Not flashlights, but little
10:10
light up batons. So plane's probably
10:12
pulling into the station now. This is
10:14
74.
10:16
Mine is at 72. They also do not sell gum
10:20
at MCO. Some airports sell gum. This one
10:23
does not sell gum. So just because like
10:26
to keep your ears from popping. It's
10:28
always good to chew on, you know, chew
10:30
on something to get your jaw moving. So
10:32
I went with high chew cuz you can chew
10:35
high chew. It's not as good as gum when
10:37
it comes to keeping your ears from
10:39
popping with the elevation and the
10:41
takeoff. And it's usually the takeoff
10:43
and the landing, but forgot to bring
10:45
gum. So, got some Hi-Chew from one of
10:47
the little little stands. All right,
10:49
there it is. Pulling into
10:52
the station.
10:54
Delta.
10:55
Been racking up some airline miles with
11:00
I never really chose an airline until I
11:03
guess about a year ago. At the end of
11:05
last year, started using Delta. Happy
11:07
with it. Haven't had any major issues. I
11:10
mean, I had some issues, but in
11:11
comparison to some other airlines that I
11:14
use, been doing pretty good with uh with
11:16
Delta. Pretty pretty content with being
11:18
a
11:21
Skyline member. Is it called Skyline
11:23
member? I have the AMX card that's
11:25
linked up to the points and I use that
11:26
for everything. Gives me airline miles,
11:29
etc.
11:32
And I do fly other airlines, but the
11:34
majority of the time it's usually on a
11:35
Delta flight.
11:44
Be boarding momentarily over at 72. This
11:44
is 73. I did ask if they possibly had a
11:47
open seat that I could switch over to
11:49
the window seat. Said no. Full flight.
11:52
>> We're watching the All-Star game as soon
11:54
as the plane takes off. It starts at
11:56
8:00 p.m. Eastern Standard, Florida
11:58
time.
12:01
Also, speaking of the Rays,
12:04
who have four guys in the All-Star game,
12:07
>> there is a very heavy strong rumor. I
12:09
think it's even confirmed that Stu
12:11
Sternberg, the owner of the Rays, is
12:12
selling the team and they're going to be
12:15
staying in the Tampa St. Pete area.
12:16
That's the rumor mill. And it's even
12:18
more than a rumor. I think it's locked
12:20
in. They're just saying they're not
12:22
going to make the official announcement
12:23
for like another month. But it pretty
12:25
much seems due to the hearsay and
12:27
speculation online that it's a done
12:29
deal. Steu Sternberg, the principal
12:32
owner of the Rays,
12:34
selling the Rays, and hopefully the next
12:36
person that's going to own it is going
12:38
to put a little more money into it,
12:40
build a new stadium, they stay in Tampa.
12:42
Be great if they went to Orlando, but
12:44
Tampa be better than St. Pete for me.
12:47
Anyway,
12:48
>> this has been baseball talk.
12:51
>> I'm standing at the gates that's going
12:53
to Atlanta. If I wanted to, I could just
12:56
jump on the plane and go catch the last
12:58
couple innings of the All-Star game,
13:00
which starts about an hour flight up
13:01
there,
13:03
but I'm not. I'm going to going to LA
13:05
and then to Anaheim. But it'll be nice
13:07
to watch the game on the flight comfort
13:11
of my seat.
13:22
>> 3C is where I'm sitting. three seats as
13:22
if possible. We'd appreciate it.
13:25
>> We're going to ask you to place your
13:26
smaller name.
13:27
>> All right. Evidently, the Allar Games
13:28
not on ESPN, it's on Fox, but they have
13:30
that here as well.
13:31
>> Ask you to tip your bag on it like a
13:33
book. These bins are quite large and
13:36
that will allow more room in each.
13:42
Please review the expert responsibility
13:42
downpouring outside
13:44
>> and the safety information card located
13:46
in your seat pocket. If you do not meet
13:48
these criteria, do not wish to perform
13:49
these responsibilities. Have a condition
13:52
which prevents you from performing or
13:54
you might suffer bodily harm. Should you
13:56
perform these functions, please contact
13:58
your flight attendant for receiving at
14:00
this time.
14:01
Our flight time to Los Angeles is 4
14:03
hours and 28 minutes.
14:04
>> Notice we look at the rain equipment. Uh
14:07
there's a pretty big cell coming across
14:08
the field. Everything's fine down here.
14:10
Um we're we're in no danger sitting in
14:12
the aircraft here. Um if we were, I
14:14
would get you guys off right away. So uh
14:16
but um the problem is that the they
14:18
can't be on the jump ridge uh at this
14:20
time. So we're going to suspend
14:21
boarding. It's going to take a little
14:22
while. Um we're up at the flight deck
14:25
listening to the air traffic controllers
14:26
talk to the airplanes in the air that
14:28
are trying to land. They're getting all
14:29
kinds of just horrendous weather. Um but
14:32
this moves really quickly this time of
14:33
year coming through here. If you've
14:34
flown out of um South Florida this
14:36
summer before, uh it should be maybe 30
14:39
40 minutes. We'll be uh moving along. Um
14:42
it'll take a little bit of time for air
14:44
traffic control to clean up the aircraft
14:45
that are going to get uh stuck on the
14:46
ramp or up in the air. Uh but we'll get
14:49
you out of here quick as safe as you
14:50
can. Um as the situation unfolds, I will
14:52
let you know. I'm going to go give the
14:54
same update to the folks up at the uh
14:55
gate who are uh not on board with us. Um
14:58
and I'll let you know if anything
15:00
changes. going to restart the time or
15:01
not, but um they're going to drive up in
15:03
about 10 minutes and uh it sounds like
15:05
once uh we get going, it should not end,
15:08
but we should be able to proceed to the
15:10
runway and take off relatively quickly
15:12
without much delay. Um the air traffic
15:14
controllers just told a couple airplanes
15:15
that are waiting off um on the taxi way
15:19
uh that um they should not inspect
15:22
expect too much um what they call trail.
15:24
It's the space between uh aircraft as
15:27
they depart, number of miles. Um they're
15:30
not expecting very much entrail spacing
15:32
today. So uh hopefully once everything
15:34
gets going, we should be able to get on
15:36
our way and um you can get moving.
15:38
Appreciate your patience and uh we will
15:40
update you as soon as we have more
15:41
information.
15:42
>> Devices may be secured on you or in your
15:44
seat pocket and larger electronic
15:46
devices like laptops must be sewed into
15:47
a bag not in seat pockets.
15:50
If you are seeing the eancies, please
15:51
review the exit seating criteria and
15:52
responsibilities of the safe information
15:54
card in your seat pocket. If you do not
15:55
meet these criteria, do not wish to
15:57
perform these responsibilities, have a
15:58
head condition which prevents you from
15:59
performing or feel badly harmed, should
16:02
Elijah.
16:04
>> Say hello to everybody, but the um uh
16:07
for some reason they were doing some
16:08
maintenance on the PA system. I could
16:10
talk to you. So, in any case, uh welcome
16:12
our flight over to Los Angeles today. Uh
16:14
my name is Scott, your captain. Both me
16:16
is George. He and I are going to fly
16:17
over there in about 4 and 1 half hours
16:18
to take off touchdown. Uh there's a
16:20
bunch of weather in the area here. It's
16:21
maybe a little bumpy in the departure,
16:22
but once we get over the Gulf, uh
16:24
there's a little bit of weather to go
16:25
around out there. There's an aircraft
16:26
left Tampa about an hour ago. We've been
16:28
getting uh we have like an aircraft text
16:29
messaging system. We've been getting
16:31
messages from them. They say the ride's
16:32
not bad. So, I I have a good feeling
16:34
we're going to get the seat belt sign
16:35
off for much of the flight. I would ask
16:37
in return with the seat belt signs on
16:38
you stay seated with your seat belt
16:39
fastened. Seat belt signs off. Feel free
16:41
to get up and stretch your legs. Move
16:42
out the cab. Use the laboratory if you
16:43
need to. Just keep your seat belt
16:44
fastened when you're seated in case we
16:45
experience any unanticipated dr air. Uh
16:47
we do apologize for the delay tonight.
16:49
Of course, this is weather related.
16:50
There's not much we can do about that.
16:51
We're keeping you guys safe. We'll get
16:52
you there as quick as safe as you can.
16:53
Uh it's going to be just a few more
16:55
minutes as we uh I know everybody's
16:56
boarded up. We're all ready to go. Uh
16:58
the ramp is just a little bit behind.
16:59
They um like I mentioned before, they
17:01
close the ramp whenever there's any
17:02
lightning. They just got back out here
17:04
and uh they have a few aircraft to work
17:06
on. There's some uh ramp crew here at
17:07
our aircraft. Uh they have not loaded
17:09
the jet bridge bags yet. So it's going
17:11
to be a couple of minutes, but we're
17:12
going to get you there, I guess, as
17:13
quick and safe as you can. In the
17:14
meantime, I think what we're going to do
17:15
is uh bring some water to the cabin in
17:17
case anybody needs a quick drink of
17:18
water. Um guys been sitting here for a
17:20
little bit so we try to take care of
17:21
you. Uh as we get a little closer to Los
17:23
Angeles with the current weather gate
17:24
we're going to park. I will try not to
17:25
bother you too at your flight. Thanks
17:28
for lost.
17:28
>> You continuing to trust us with your
17:30

17:38
>> Send a text anyone picking up in Los
17:40
Angeles. Our new arrival time will be
17:42
approximately 11:20 to 11:30 p.m.
17:45
Original arrival time was 10:25. Looks
17:47
like we'll be about 1 hour behind.
17:49
Flight attendants, please prepare the
17:50
cab for departure.
18:48
And this just happened again. It was top
18:48
of the ninth. American League was down
18:51
by one. I think they scored, but then it
18:54
froze up.
18:56
Oh, wait. It's back on.
19:03
Yeah, the National League ended up
19:04
winning it. It was tied up in the ninth
19:06
and then it went into a eliminating home
19:10
run derby, which they've never had in
19:11
the All-Star game. And the National
19:13
League won because they got one extra
19:15
one more home run than American League
19:18
in the home runoff.
19:20
That's pretty interesting.
19:23
About halfway there. Now, if I wouldn't
19:25
have been sitting on the at the gate for
19:28
2 hours, probably would be landing soon
19:32
or landing in a half hour. Still got 2
19:34
and 1/2 hours to go.
19:54
So, I just recently watched the first
19:54
Paddington
20:01
when I was in England, but I have not
20:01
seen actually I went to Paddington
20:04
Station,
20:10
but I have not seen the sequel
20:10
Paddington in Peru. So, I'm going to
20:12
give that a watch.
20:44
All right. Finished Paddington in Peru
20:44
with 11 minutes to spare. 11 minutes
20:48
till landing. Well, now 10 minutes till
20:49
landing.
22:32
anyone who is not one of those
22:32
passengers to remain seated and allow
22:34
those about 20 passengers to exit the
22:37
aircraft first and then we can all begin
22:40
the deplanning process. I would greatly
22:41
appreciate it. We'll be arriving here at
22:43
gate 26 alpha momentarily. And once
22:46
again, please remain seated unless
22:48
you're one of the passengers trying to
22:49
make that uh interview.
22:50
>> If you're not going to be, this isn't
22:52
affecting you at all. They're going to
22:53
make everybody stay on the airplane
22:54
until the medical personnel I'll get
22:56
here. Either way, uh but we're trying to
22:57
get these folks off. If you're standing
22:58
on the aisle, I'm really sorry. This is
23:00
getting a little bit hectic, but uh
23:02
we're going to get you off of here as
23:03
quick as we can.
23:50
It's 10 minutes till midnight SoCal
23:52
It should be 10 minutes till 3:00 a.m.
23:55
Florida time.
23:57
Supposed to land at 10 p.m.
24:17
All right, off the plane 3 minutes after
24:17
midnight. So 2 hours and 3 minutes.
24:21
So evidently there was a
24:30
medical issue on back of the plane. Also
24:30
it was only like maybe 10 minutes.
24:36
It was getting out of Orlando late. It
24:36
was a 2-hour delay,
24:39
but I made it. Good to be here.
24:59
Okay. You can't order an Uber from the
24:59
horseshoe area of the drop off or the
25:03
pickup area.
25:05
The arrivals area. That's the word I'm
25:07
looking for at LAX. You have to get on a
25:09
bus and then go off property. Well, out
25:13
of the main airport area, I should say.
25:15
Then you order an Uber or a lift over
25:17
here. So, it's kind of a whole process,
25:19
but I've ordered it and should be here a
25:21
few in a few minutes, five minutes, and
25:23
then I'm on my way from LA to Anaheim.
25:25
There shouldn't be any traffic. It is
25:28
12:34 right now.
25:30
I am glad to not be sitting in a seat
25:32
because I started boarding 30 minutes
25:35
for the flame plane was going to take
25:36
off and then 30 minutes after that when
25:39
the plane was going to take off. I think
25:42
it was almost 2 hours before we took off
25:46
and then it was a 5 hour flight. So,
25:50
7 hours 7 and 1 half hours sitting.
25:54
>> Good to be good to be stretching my legs
25:58
till I get in an Uber. It'll be sitting
26:00
for another half hour. But if it was
26:02
rush hour traffic, it'd probably be an
26:04
hour and 15 minutes to Anaheim, but be
26:07
smooth sailing, I'm pretty sure. And
26:09
I'll check in my hotel.
26:12
Get some shutye. See the L control tower
26:15
right there.
26:43
property hund times. Stayed here quite a
26:44
few times, maybe even walk through this
26:45
property more than hundreds of times
26:48
over the years, just walking through
26:49
Downtown Disney and walking over into
26:52
the lobby of the Disneyland Hotel. And
26:55
I've never seen it this empty. Didn't
26:58
see anyone with the exception of cast
27:00
members. A couple cast members at the
27:01
check-in desk, a couple of the other
27:03
workers that were maintenance and
27:07
scrubbing the had the little Zamboni
27:10
scrubbers that were kind of going
27:11
around. Other than that, I didn't see
27:14
anyone even when I went in the over to
27:16
the discovery tower into the lobby. So,
27:19
out of the main area, which is where the
27:21
check-in is, as you get your keys, head
27:22
over, and you go to the Discovery Tower,
27:25
and there's like a lobby there as well.
27:27
No one in there. Just empty couches,
27:30
empty seats,
27:32
very, very late nighttime vibes without
27:35
any guests or anything. It was I mean,
27:39
the music was on and everything. It was
27:40
a kind of almost like kind of eerie in a
27:43
way where there was like not one person
27:47
other than a couple workers. I was the
27:49
only guest that's up at this hour
27:51
because it's very very late. It's also
27:54
interesting as well because because I'm
27:56
a Disney Vacation Club member and one of
27:58
my home resorts is the Disneyland Hotel
28:00
DVC Tower. I was able to book this room
28:03
11 months out and I booked it exactly 11
28:06
months out knowing that the demand was
28:09
going to be very popular because of the
28:11
Disneyland 70th anniversary
28:14
week. and I wanted to to check in on the
28:18
night of the 15th
28:21
and it's been 11 months ago and that 11
28:24
months went by at the blink of an eye.
28:26
It's amazing how quickly time goes.
28:30
But I'm inside the hotel room now and
28:32
this is the the room tour
28:35
of the villa at the Disneyland
28:38
Hotel Tower.
28:40
It's pretty nice. It has a Murphy bed
28:42
that pulls down. So, this is a couch
28:45
here, and you got the little ottoman and
28:47
all that. But that Murphy bed will pull
28:49
down into another bed. And this is the
28:54
the main bed that's not a Murphy bed.
28:56
It's it's a completely stationary one
28:58
that doesn't go anywhere from this
28:59
point. And it has a nice little
29:01
headboard with a castle there. I'll turn
29:02
that off in a minute so I can show you
29:04
the view out the side.
29:07
And then you got some artwork over here
29:10
as well. I got my bags all all put down.
29:13
You got a little seat there. You got a
29:16
little welcome home package
29:19
as well. It says gift inside. It's a
29:22
little 8 by10 piece of artwork there of
29:25
the castle all adorned with the 70th
29:28
bunting and artwork or uh banners I
29:31
should say.
29:33
I like the tile work here. This is one
29:35
of my favorite resorts to stay at. Alani
29:38
being number one, but I really like the
29:40
Disneyland Hotel DVC tower simply
29:42
because of how close to proximity it is
29:45
to Walt's original Magic Kingdom. Got a
29:48
Curig over here.
29:51
Oh, even got some 70th blend. Very nice.
29:53
It is amazing that the 70th is here.
29:57
Where's the time gone? I lived here back
30:00
in 2015 when the 60th was going on. That
30:03
was just such a such a great time.
30:08
It's hard to believe that was 10 years
30:09
ago.
30:11
Little microwave.
30:13
You see current time right there. 1:26
30:18
a.m. which is a few minutes off. It's
30:19
actually 1:34 a.m.
30:22
You got the
30:24
fridge there. Mini fridge.
30:31
Got a couple
30:31
nice little uh
30:34
I call these like like shower robes. I
30:36
guess they're just lounge robes. Some
30:38
artwork down in there as well. Now, the
30:41
first time I stayed here was many years
30:42
ago. My mom and I stayed here when we
30:45
were coming back from trip to Hawaii.
30:49
Wow. Is that open or what? In fact,
30:50
does. You got some extra pillows and
30:52
blankets. You got the safe.
30:54
Got a steam iron right there. But when
30:57
we stayed here, this is right when the
30:59
resort first opened.
31:01
This was a mirror right here. And it was
31:05
very difficult to figure out how to pull
31:07
the mirror across. And they have since
31:09
changed it. If my memory serves correct,
31:11
this used to be a mirror that slid
31:14
across and it was so difficult. I think
31:16
the first day I stood stayed here,
31:19
neither one of myself or my mom could
31:21
figure out that there was a closet
31:23
behind that mirror that slid over. So, I
31:25
think they've since adjusted that.
31:36
Big TV there.
31:36
Another mirror here. You got the
31:38
facilities in here. Nice sink. Nice
31:42
mirror.
31:44
Very beautiful. Very nice. Got the
31:46
walk-in shower
31:48
with a waterfall style shower
31:52
nozzle there.
31:59
Yeah, it's a great spot.
31:59
I'm pretty tired. Probably going to turn
32:01
in. All right, so here's the view. Turn
32:03
the lights off in here just to get a so
32:06
you don't get the reflection. This is
32:08
kind of neat. Look at this. This window
32:10
here, I never noticed this before. Has
32:12
like
32:14
like some tinting on it to where it
32:16
looks like you're going through some
32:17
some kind of a a tunnel of sorts. Look
32:21
at that. That's kind of a neat effect. I
32:23
don't remember that from previous stays
32:26
in other rooms. So, you look over here,
32:28
it's not there. Then you look this way
32:31
and it is there. Wow, that's wild.
32:35
And I have a poolside view
32:39
right down below.
32:42
That's a pretty good view. Stayed in a
32:44
numbers number of rooms here. I stayed
32:46
in this little building down here once
32:48
on the bottom floor in the corner. Very
32:50
bottom floor in the corner. And these
32:52
are really nice because you have an
32:53
outdoor kind of private lounge and
32:55
nobody can get to. However, once the
32:58
morning starts, the music is so loud by
33:01
the pool that when you're in your room,
33:03
you hear it. So, I don't know if I'd
33:05
ever want to stay in there again because
33:07
if you're in the room, you want some
33:09
peace and quiet, you don't really get
33:11
it. Where in here, you stay in the main
33:13
area.
33:15
You're high up up away from from all of
33:19
that.
33:21
Yeah, this is the newest part of the
33:22
tower,
33:24
the fourth tower. You can see the
33:27
check-in area over there.
33:29
And then the parking is over there on
33:31
top of the roof over there, which I
33:33
don't have a car this time. I'm just
33:35
Ubering around, ride sharing around.
33:36
There's Mickey down there. Steamboat
33:38
Willie
33:41
right down there. a splash pad, pool,
33:45
hot tub, and then the neighborhoods of
33:48
Anaheim
33:49
right over there, right over the hedge
33:52
back into the real world.
33:57
All right, that's going to do it for
33:57
today. Thanks for watching. I am glad I
33:59
made it. It's a late night,
34:03
tuckered out, and I'm ready to slumber.
34:05
Thanks for watching. I'll see you in the
34:06
next video. The vlog is over.
