0:17 group of friends some new friends in

0:19 Southern California and they showed me

0:21 an awesome spot in the mountainous

0:24 regions of Southern California and I

0:26 don't think anyone's put a video up yet

0:29 of this fantastic spot that they took me

0:31 to so I'm looking forward to unleashing

1:05 weekend is upon us in full swing if you

1:24 cream it's the daily

1:27 woo wow it is a good day to be alive

1:31 it's a good day to be healthy and not

1:33 feeling under the weather I've been very

1:35 sick the last couple days been drinking

1:37 a lot of water and a lot of juice and a

1:39 lot of people have actually chimed in

1:43 it's a very loud dump truck right there

1:46 very loud garbage truck like a garbage

1:50 truck dropped off the Empire State

1:54 Building so basically sick the last few

1:56 days but I am feeling great I am feeling

1:59 vibrant and alive and excited it's very

2:02 hard to get excited about life when

2:05 you're very very under the weather but

2:07 luckily it only lasted about a day or

2:08 two probably about two days a lot of

2:10 people chimed in about the juice

2:13 drinking saying there's a lot of sugar

2:14 in juice but I have stopped drinking

2:16 Mountain Dew I've stopped drinking

2:17 coffee and I'm hopefully going to

2:19 continue down that path of goodness and

2:22 continue drinking a lot of water the

2:23 reason I was drinking a lot of juice to

2:25 answer your question sir ma'am and

2:27 children was because not because of the

2:29 sugar content cuz there is no caffeine

2:31 in there so obviously the sugar would be

2:33 the next bolt of goodness I wasn't

2:35 drinking it for that I was drinking it

2:36 for the overload of vitamin C to consume

2:39 itself into my body so that's why I was

2:42 drinking the vitamin C so Pomona

2:45 California let's talk about this

2:47 wonderful little area in 2003 a movie

2:58 on Dr Seuss movies this guy's rocking

3:03 probably a big fan of Dr Seuss and this

3:08 was listening to I didn't recognize that

3:11 tune per se but this stretch of road in

3:14 2003 was completely converted for the

3:17 movie The Cat in the Hat came out in

3:20 2003 3 years after the original

3:23 liveaction Star Jim Carrey movie of Dr

3:26 Seuss which was the Grinch that stole

3:29 Christmas

3:30 this is pretty fantastic a lot of the

3:31 remnants are still here from 2003 12

3:34 years later they still remain right here

3:37 on the street and the main thing that

3:39 really pinpoints it is this

3:44 shun a top

3:46 hat but not only a top hat not only a

3:50 fantastic Top Hat symbolizing The Cat in

3:53 the Hat but also colors in the movie

3:55 they painted all of this they redid the

3:58 trees the Ambiance of the trees redid

4:02 the roads and made it very colorful made

4:04 it pop out at you just like it would in

4:07 a Doctor Seuss book so let's walk

4:10 through the Cat in the Hat town and walk

4:14 through and take a look at this you can

4:15 still see they have the green paint and

4:17 the yellow paint here I think they had

4:18 some sort of a sign here in the movie

4:21 some of the stuff has been converted

4:22 back like you can see this beige

4:25 building you can see this beige building

4:27 has been repainted the hat is still

4:29 there the blue paint still there the

4:32 green paint still there it is Saturday

4:35 so a lot of these antique shops are not

4:37 open today that's why they have the bars

4:40 across the windows but look at this this

4:43 just looks like something out of a movie

4:45 this purple paint and that weird awning

4:48 this right here you could see in the

4:50 movie as

4:51 well which is very very

5:01 cool

5:01 did you guys ever see that movie I

5:03 watched it a long time ago it did not do

5:06 that well let's think about this the

5:08 movie actually made

5:10 $13 million at the box office now when

5:14 you and I put our brains together and we

5:15 think a movie made $113 million that is

5:19 insane I could never make a movie that

5:20 would make that much money the problem

5:22 is the movie the cost of the movie to

5:25 produce it and to film it was

5:28 109 million the movie made 133 million

5:32 but it cost 109 million so the

5:35 percentage was not that good so it was

5:37 considered a colossal failure even

5:40 though Mike Myers was in it it did not

5:43 do as well as it supposed to be done but

5:47 it's still pretty fantastic to walk

5:48 around these streets here in Pomona and

5:52 check out the Cat in the Hat town in

5:56 fact I want you to go on YouTube and

5:58 look up the Cat in the Hat trailer to

5:59 2003 and you can see a little minute and

6:01 a half Montage of the movie what the

6:03 movie is about in a preview format

6:06 trailer you know what a trailer is and

6:08 one of the scenes can be seen in the

6:11 movie trailer which is awesome it's shot

6:13 right here in the middle of the road and

6:15 you can see this building directly

6:17 behind me in the shot so if anyone has

6:20 the movie and they see anything in this

6:22 area that matches up to what the movie

6:25 showed in the town that I'm showing you

6:53 believe and they changed the trees they

6:55 took the limbs off or something they did

6:57 something where they actually made the

6:58 trees a lot more Dr sush sushis sushis

7:09 confusing me to say Dr Seuss or Dr sushi

7:13 but look at that building right there

7:15 it's an antique mall it has these these

7:18 uh plates of glass running all along the

7:20 side of it you can see that in the Dr

7:23 Seuss trailer for The Cat in the Hat

7:25 speaking of Dr Seuss his widow who owns

7:28 all the rights to the the books to the

7:30 movies to the name to the corporation of

7:32 Dr Seuss itself saw the movie she was

7:35 very very disappointed and she

7:38 completely disagreed signed some

7:41 contracts put it down in stone in paper

7:44 Stone if you will maybe even in

7:45 realstone I'm not sure how she

7:47 formulated her writing and there will

7:50 never ever ever in the history of

7:52 existence as long as she's alive and

7:54 until someone else takes over the

7:56 control of the Doctor Seuss Empire there

7:58 will never be a another Dr Seuss live

8:01 movie The Grinch this old Christmas was

8:03 number one and the Cat in the Hat

8:05 starring Mike Myers was number two it

8:07 was not really a great well-received

8:09 movie it received a lot of critical and

8:12 personal criticism from people that

8:14 watched it but more importantly from Dr

8:18 Seuss's Widow so there will never be

8:21 another Dr Seuss live movie again there

8:24 will be animated one there will be CGI

8:25 ones that sort of thing but never a a

8:28 person like me

8:29 dressed as a Dr Seuss character running

8:32 around the streets of could be Pomona or

8:34 it could be your town who knows you will

8:36 never see a Dr Seuss movie come to your

8:38 town regenerate the town to make it look

8:42 like a fantastic Dr

8:44 Seussville anybody know the name of the

8:47 town in the Dr Seuss The Dr Seuss Cat in

8:50 the Hat it actually ended with v so if

8:53 you know the name of that town leave a

8:54 comment down below I will not tell you

8:56 you have to do a little bit of research

8:57 on your own and hopefully you actually

8:59 look up the trailer and you can actually

9:02 find some old pictures of right after

9:04 the filming was done you can actually

9:05 see this Pomona Antique Row sign and you

9:08 can see a lot of the stuff that was

9:09 still left up which over the last decade

9:12 has been taken down but very awesome

9:14 just a little stretch of road only about

9:16 150 yard maybe 200 yards of goodness

9:20 movie history goodness and even more

9:22 importantly than that Dr Seuss history

9:25 which is very awesome I'm going to let
