0:02 Today's adventure begins as the
0:02 recording of this TGIF. It is Friday,
0:04 July 25th,
0:07 2025. I'm standing on the backside of
0:09 the Celebration Movie Theater,
0:11 which has recently been gutted out
0:14 because they are building an event
0:15 center, an events
0:18 center. It's on the the rumor mill
0:21 anyway.
0:23 And I'm noticing that they have thrown
0:24 away a bunch of stuff over here.
0:29 the old movie theater seats where I saw
0:31 a Back to Future reunion,
0:34 Back to Future screening in 2008. I saw
0:36 Castaway here with my mom.
0:46 I think I saw a Pixar movie here once.
0:46 They are tossing
1:04 Just the tops of them though. Welcome
1:04 everyone.
1:06 Adam the Woo here. Got my coffee.
1:09 Beth Vandal's here. Do you still call
1:11 yourself Beth Vandal?
1:13 >> Of course. It's never going to change.
1:16 >> Cheers.
1:18 >> You're drinking a refresher that you
1:19 said was too sweet for you. I'm drinking
1:21 a vanilla latte they put sees the day on
1:24 the size of side of mine. What did they
1:26 put on yours?
1:27 >> They said you rock Adam.
1:30 >> They didn't.
1:30 >> I'm Adam today.
1:31 >> But you rock, too.
1:33 >> So, what did they say? Can we take a
1:34 chair?
1:35 >> He said he doesn't speak English, so he
1:36 can't tell me or not.
1:38 >> Okay, let's uh
1:41 What if we could go in?
1:43 >> Want to try to go in?
1:44 >> Yeah.
1:45 >> All right.
1:47 >> Can we go in?
1:49 >> Can we go in? And thankfully the workers
1:51 that were in there said we could go in
1:53 and take a peek and get one last look
1:56 before it's completely gutted and
1:58 demolished and kind of strolling
1:59 through. Again, I have some core
2:01 memories in here from way back in the
2:03 day. Ended up going 2008 was the first
2:06 time I popped in here, but the Back to
2:07 the Future screening in one of the
2:09 theaters. I believe it was theater 2,
2:12 not one. There's a there's two screens.
2:15 That was the first time I met Chris
2:16 Lloyd, Bob Gail,
2:19 Claudia Wells. 2008, I started my Back
2:22 to the Future poster in there. And then
2:24 years later, my mom and I went saw
2:25 Castaway. I've seen two Zmechus films, I
2:27 think, in in each one of the of the
2:30 screens. The one the one room got rid of
2:32 the the screens already been taken down,
2:35 but the other screen still was standing.
2:37 It looks like most of the chairs that
2:38 are out in the dumpster were broken
2:41 apart, but the ones inside are still
2:43 still connected.
2:45 Yeah, glad I got to go in there. I've
2:47 been wanting to go in there for a while
2:48 since they've it was sitting abandoned
2:50 and now rumor uh room rumor is and word
2:53 on the street is that it's going to end
2:54 up being an event center of some type
2:56 and they're not going to play movies.
2:57 They're not going to have the theater
2:58 style seating. So, rip to the
3:00 celebration twin.
3:04 It's a race from existence.
3:12 And now now I can say the join me shall
3:12 you. Join me and Beth Vandal.
3:17 Shall you? That was a long intro.
3:20 >> Very.
3:21 >> That was an impromptu walkthrough
3:24 of the movie theaters. Do you still go
3:26 to movies?
3:27 >> Why? Of course I do.
3:28 >> In the cinema?
3:29 >> Not here.
3:30 >> But just in general.
3:32 >> I went to one recently,
3:34 but I usually don't.
3:36 >> Don't really have a game plan today.
3:38 Just kind of winging it. What should we
3:39 do?
3:41 >> We should go in that pond and go for a
3:42 swim across.
3:43 >> There's gators in there.
3:44 >> Yeah, but it's it's a game. See if you
3:46 can get it to the other side.
3:47 >> Ah, like Frogger.
3:48 >> Oh, yeah.
3:50 >> I think I don't know. That might be
3:52 frowned upon to do that. I've never done
3:54 it. They probably would allow it. Maybe.
3:56 See what the sign says. You're very
3:58 adventurous.
4:00 >> Well, I
4:00 >> You want to swim across an
4:01 alligatorinfested lagoon?
4:04 >> Has anybody ever died in here? Uh, I
4:07 don't think in this lake, but another
4:08 lake they have.
4:11 But it was because it wasn't because of
4:12 a gator. Please do not feed the
4:14 wildlife. Keep the area clean. Does it
4:15 say anything about not swimming?
4:17 >> But would you be considered food?
4:20 >> That's a good point. Yeah. See, sounds
4:22 like I can't go in there. Never thought
4:24 about this.
4:26 >> Heron.
4:26 >> What is it?
4:27 >> It's a heron.
4:28 >> It's called a heron.
4:29 >> A blue heron.
4:30 >> Is that a blue heron?
4:30 >> I don't know if it's blue, but it's
4:32 definitely a heron.
4:33 >> I would have said it was a stork. It's
4:34 going to fly off. It's going to fly off.
4:36 These people are going to startle it.
4:38 >> It wanted to fly off the blue heron.
5:04 >> There's thunder. It's going to We're
5:04 going to get us We're going to get some
5:05 rain.
5:07 >> Were you agreeing or clearing your
5:08 throat?
5:08 >> Um
5:10 I don't know.
5:11 >> So, why do you like what do you like
5:12 about blue her and Swatty? Why are they
5:13 your favorite bird?
5:14 >> They're not my favorite bird, but look
5:15 how majestic that bird looks. Can you
5:18 not agree? Look at him or her.
5:24 >> A blue heron
5:26 >> or a gray one. I mean,
5:29 can't really tell.
5:41 There's a whole bunch of cypress knees
5:41 right here. This whole little section
5:43 here going up to the cypress trees.
5:45 You'll see cypress knees, but usually
5:46 not this. I'm going to literally going
5:48 to trip over these. There's so many of
5:50 them.
6:02 And a nice little distance view here of
6:02 the theater. That's not going to be a
6:04 theater anymore. Hopefully they keep the
6:06 exterior looking like it did. Hopefully
6:08 they light up the spires over there
6:09 again cuz they haven't turned those on
6:11 in a while.
6:14 >> It's a squirrel.
6:15 >> Squirrel. Come on.
6:21 Kind of call the squirrel over here.
6:21 >> Come on, buddy.
7:23 I don't have any food.
7:23 >> You're the squ the the squirrel
7:24 whisperer. Is
8:02 bunnies. I know it's the cutest little
8:02 thing ever.
8:20 Oh my gosh.
8:20 Oh no. I'll back up.
8:22 >> Yeah, he's he's scared of you know tall.
8:25 >> I'm I'm a giant
8:26 >> power over.
8:26 >> I'll back up here.
8:27 >> Like a monster.
8:38 >> I like the way they eat. It's cute,
8:38 right?
8:40 >> She eating the grass.
8:42 >> I wish I could just eat grass.
8:44 >> I mean, you could.
8:46 >> You could.
8:47 >> You probably could.
8:49 >> You think it would taste good?
8:50 >> Probably not. Want to try it?
8:53 >> Rain water probably wouldn't rainwater
8:55 grass would be okay, but anything that's
8:56 like coming from a sprinkler would
8:59 probably be disgusting.
9:00 >> Yeah. Yeah.
9:01 >> I haven't seen any wild hogs around
9:03 here, but these are some of the lists of
9:04 the wild animals. Raccoons, possums,
9:07 armadillos, gray foxes, wild turkeys. I
9:12 don't know if I've seen any wild turkeys
9:13 around here or wild hogs, but I have
9:16 seen gators, deer, squirrels, bunny
9:19 rabbits.
9:20 Blue herrings. Is that what you call it?
9:23 >> Blue herand. What's a herring? That's a
9:25 fish.
9:25 >> Hey, I don't know. Now I'm confused. Is
9:27 herring or herin?
9:28 >> A herring is a fish.
9:30 >> So,
9:30 >> a blue heron would probably eat a blue
9:33 herring.
9:33 >> That makes sense.
9:39 >> I I honestly don't know. I just That's
9:39 Wanted to show this. This here has been
9:41 not been fixed for probably three or
9:43 four months. A car drove off of that and
9:45 kind of destroyed the the fence line
9:47 there. And they've just kind of put up
9:49 this like partition, temporary partition
9:52 and cones.
9:54 But uh I don't know when they're going
9:55 to fix that, but it's been like that for
9:57 three, four, five months now. All right,
9:58 got to hit up some thrift stores and
10:00 then maybe even pop in see if there's
10:02 any more Halloween decor that's been put
10:04 out some of the stores. This place is
10:06 now a I think it's a church or
10:08 something, but it used to be called the
10:10 Haunted Mansion. Non-D Disney related
10:13 and it was a haunted house
10:15 kind of like Skull Kingdom on Irive that
10:17 closed. This place also closed,
10:20 but there's a thrift store right next to
10:23 it. Going to hit that. Yeah, there's the
10:25 thrift store just simply called Thrift
10:27 Store. You can see right there starting
10:30 to sprinkle a little bit. So, see this
10:35 little puddle. Oh, wow. There goes one
10:38 of the helicopters going by. Helicopter
10:41 stores, but going to park pop inside
10:44 this thrift store. Go in, see what I can
10:47 see what I can find. I always like doing
10:48 a little thrift shopping, especially
10:49 some of the little smaller mom and pop
10:51 stores. I mean, sometimes you get the
10:52 Goodwill and the Salvation Armies and
10:54 those are great and everything, but
10:55 sometimes the the smaller versions which
10:57 are just like mom and pop stores.
10:59 Sometimes the prices are a little bit
11:01 better and sometimes they are not as
11:02 overpicked through as some of the the
11:05 larger ones are. So, sometimes it's good
11:07 to stop off at the ones that don't
11:08 really get the the amount of people
11:11 strolling up and down the aisles and
11:13 going inside. I think this used to be
11:14 like an old 7-Eleven or an old an old
11:17 gas station at one point, but now it's
11:18 now it's been used for the past I don't
11:20 know 101 15 years. has been it's been a
11:22 thrift store right here on Highway 192
11:24 down in the old area of Highway 192. Oh
11:27 my gosh. They have a Disneyland 60th
11:29 right here. Look at that. The D60 right
11:31 there. Is that $26?
11:34 >> That's awesome. They have a pretty nice
11:36 little variety of shorts here. Look at
11:38 this one. I think I can see myself
11:40 wearing these. Can you see me wearing
11:41 these?
11:41 >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You should get those.
11:43 >> Should I? I do. I'm I'd wear a lot of
11:45 shorts.
11:47 I don't know if they'd fit. Maybe
11:54 these are good, too. Turns out, I guess
11:54 maybe before or after it was a
11:56 convenience store, it turned into a
11:58 tourist info center. You see the
12:00 backside there where it says tourist
12:01 info. In fact, when you walk in the two
12:04 front doors, the two door handles look
12:06 like tickets, which was the theming of
12:08 the 192 ticket time share booth. So,
12:11 that's what that building was
12:12 beforehand. Before it was a thrift
12:13 store. All right, back over at the Atome
12:16 Home Home Decor Superstore.
12:19 See if they have any new Halloween stuff
12:20 out. They had some good stuff a couple
12:22 weeks ago when I was in here. See if I
12:24 can find something else that they were
12:25 either out of or
12:29 hadn't put out yet.
12:32 This chair now is occupied by a neon
12:35 green skeleton. I already have a lot of
12:38 skeletons. I don't have this, but this
12:39 is a huge skeleton hat. I don't think
12:41 I'm going to get it. I think I already
12:42 got my skeleton quota already. All
12:44 right, here's what I got. I think about
12:46 my storage unit at some point today,
12:47 too. I like got this ceramic ghost,
12:49 which I like. I got this black cat right
12:52 here, which is ceramic also. Last year,
12:54 I had a kind of a more foamy type of
12:58 cat, which is very realistic that this
12:59 is going to last a lot longer. So,
13:01 getting this. Let me get away from the
13:02 door cuz it keeps like opening up and
13:04 down. And then I got this crow
13:06 right over there just to add on to what
13:08 I've gotten. It's going to be it's going
13:09 to be quite the
13:11 last three weeks of October. I should
13:13 have I'll start putting some of this
13:15 stuff out. Still got a long way to go
13:17 till then. But yeah. All right. I am
13:20 fueling up self pumping gas nozzle here
13:22 at the wall. Price of gas $37
13:26 a gallon here in central Florida.
13:30 Many years ago the Gator in Gator Motel
13:32 over here, there was a huge gator right
13:35 here in the middle of this parking lot.
13:36 I was there forever and ever and ever.
13:38 Like 10 years ago, they tore it out. But
13:40 right over next to it is this restaurant
13:43 and brewery where they have an elephant.
13:47 Look at this.
13:49 I don't ever remember this.
13:55 Got a little hole in the elephant there.
13:55 Those
13:58 >> Feels like a real elephant,
13:59 >> does it?
14:00 >> No, for real. It's like you can push
14:02 into it. It's not even a rock.
14:04 >> Oh. Oh, yeah. Look at that.
14:08 >> Oh, look at that.
14:09 >> That's kind of neat.
14:12 It's like made out of like foam or
14:13 something.
14:15 Yeah, you're right. It's not like uh not
14:17 like a hard plastic.
14:19 >> It's like a foamy kind of plastic.
14:21 Remember when the big gator used to be
14:23 out here?
14:24 >> It used to be that huge alligator that
14:26 like went from there
14:27 >> all the way over there.
14:29 >> It was the Gator Motel, right?
14:30 >> Used to be. Now it's Now it's the Gator
14:32 Inn. They've upgraded. Also, that's not
14:35 a real tree.
14:36 >> No.
14:38 >> Cell phone tower.
14:40 I'm
14:41 >> sure you probably already knew. I sure
14:42 everybody knows that.
14:44 >> That's not a real tree right there. See
14:46 it?
14:46 >> Yeah. Well, that is a real tree.
14:49 >> That's a real tree.
14:49 >> No, it's a real 5G tree.
14:51 >> Oh, it's a five That's true. 5G tree. 5G
14:55 tree. It's hard to say.
14:59 >> There's also another There's a bear on
15:01 the other side of the building. We
15:02 should go look at the bear. It has fur
15:04 on it.
15:05 >> This one has fur.
15:06 >> The guy came out of the the place and
15:08 goes, "Can I help you?" We go, "We're
15:10 just filming the animals." He goes,
15:11 "That's fine. Just don't poke the bear."
15:13 So, no poking the bear. Look at this. It
15:17 is fur.
15:19 >> Wow.
15:20 >> Petting the bear.
15:22 >> Look at the eyes. Look at that right
15:23 there.
15:24 >> Looks like a real eye.
15:26 >> Yeah. Like a reflection in there. It's
15:28 pretty cool.
15:28 >> I think this bear has a skull.
15:30 >> Backside of the bear. The bear's looking
15:33 at 192 over there. Just wanting to get
15:35 closer to 192, but this is as far as it
15:37 can go. Hey, there's a cow.
15:40 Look at this. There's a cow over here.
15:42 Take a look at this. Uh, this cow also
15:45 has the same kind of eyes.
15:47 >> It feels like a real cow.
15:50 >> Look at the eyes right there.
15:52 >> Yeah, I know.
15:53 >> That is cool. That is different than
15:55 what you'd see in like a the front of a
15:57 business like that. The the foam. All
16:00 right, arriving now over at Hope Thrift
16:03 right here on Highway 192.
16:06 See what can be found inside of here.
16:10 Hope Thrift. Love this place. Like this
16:13 right here. I've seen these before in
16:15 stores, but they have one used here. I
16:17 think it's uh $24.99.
16:19 That' be kind of like a nice little
16:20 corner piece right here. Yeah, that's uh
16:23 not too bad. And check out the anti
16:26 antique book hideaway CD rack right here
16:28 where it looks like books. World's
16:30 greatest music. And there's the CDs
16:32 right there. It's like a little hidden
16:33 thing. And I've stood this up to kind of
16:35 show what that looks like. I might buy
16:37 this. All right. Taking the elevator up.
16:39 The storage unit. You got the cat. You
16:41 got the crow. And I got the ghost,
16:45 right? Yeah.
16:48 You got the ghost here. There's the
16:49 ghostly eyes.
16:51 could have taken the cart, but we just
16:52 opted to walk it up. Third floor.
17:28 You guys
17:28 >> get a light in here?
17:30 >> Uh, I guess this is the light outside.
17:33 >> Oh, you even have a bat cap. I'm going
17:35 to put the cat right in front of the
17:36 back cat.
17:37 >> You're welcome, Matt.
17:39 >> Yeah,
17:45 >> it's coming along nicely. This will all
17:45 be in here until October.
17:48 Plenty of room left.
17:51 Plenty of room.
17:53 I even got this wheelbarrow.
17:56 It's a little skeleton wheelbarrow.
17:58 >> Oh, that's perfect. What are you going
18:00 to put in there?
18:01 >> I don't know. I haven't decided yet.
18:03 >> You got to get something to put in
18:05 there. Maybe like a skull guy and put
18:07 him in the wheelbarrow.
18:08 >> Yeah, I'm going to have one pushing it.
18:10 >> Oh, perfect. Yeah.
18:11 >> And then I got to put I don't know. I'll
18:12 find something in there. It's coming
18:15 along now. It's coming along.
18:23 All right, shelf is installed there
18:23 against the wall. I call this room like
18:25 the pointless room where it's like the
18:27 most unthemed room in my entire my
18:30 entire homestead. But yeah, eventually
18:32 at some point I'll put something right
18:33 over there on that shelf.
18:36 I hardly ever use this room, but it's
18:38 here.
18:39 And this here was one of the only pieces
18:42 that the former owners that lived here
18:45 left. that was out in the garage and I
18:46 moved it here into this room. First I
18:48 was going to get rid of it, but I really
18:50 like it. It's like this old cabinet.
18:53 Kind of reminds me of the cabinet in
18:54 Beauty and the Beast. The singing
18:55 cabinet.
18:57 >> Reminds me of like Narnia. If you open
19:00 the doors, we'll go to another world.
19:01 >> Narnia. Okay.
19:05 >> True.
19:06 >> All right. Out on the golf cart looking
19:08 for deer at dusk. And there are some
19:10 already out.
19:48 All right, here's some more different
19:51 area town.
19:53 The woodland creatures.
20:07 I figured they'd be out today. Last
20:07 night there were some out, but I think
20:09 it was hotter yesterday than it is
20:10 today.
20:11 Weather's not as scorching tonight.
20:38 >> I know sometimes people feed them, but
20:38 I'm not going to feed them.
20:48 Hi sweetie. There's so many in these
20:48 woods. I mean, there's like a bunch down
20:49 in there.
21:08 Such a magical place. These deer are
21:08 just out frolicking around. So friendly,
21:21 >> You guys doing
21:21 a dinner time.
21:44 Oh, he's so cute.
21:44 His ears are awesome.
22:00 Someone just fed these deer. There's a
22:00 bunch of them in here.
22:18 One, two, three, four, five, six, seven
22:18 of them right there.
22:25 So, we saw five, maybe four or five at
22:25 the last spot, three at the other spot.
22:28 So, seven, five, that's 12. Then plus
22:30 three, we got 15 deer we've already
22:32 seen.
22:33 It's a lot of deer.
22:51 There's always one out of the group that
22:51 just loves staring, you know? There's
22:54 there's always one that's just like, I'm
22:55 just going to stare at you. And then the
22:57 other one's just kind of doing their own
22:58 thing.
22:59 >> Yeah. They like staring contests. I was
23:01 just like, "I'm going back in the
23:02 woods."
