0:26 talking about the music video

0:28 Michael Jackson's Thriller I'm going to

0:33 show you what's left of the filming

0:34 locations from all the spots from that

1:05 footage or the song from thriller due to

1:08 copyright reasons however there are

1:10 plenty of places online where you can

1:12 find this yourself you can watch at home

1:14 as well as what I'm showing you together

1:16 combined we will have a fun time sounds

1:20 like a good time does it not sound like

1:22 a good sound like a good time

1:32 in South Pasadena now in front of the

1:32 Rialto Theatre and as you can tell it's

1:35 seen better days it's actually been

1:36 abandoned for quite some time in the

1:38 interiors of this exact spot where the

1:41 interiors from the video which is very

1:43 interesting because the exterior are in

1:46 Los Angeles and it's actually all

1:48 boarded up this has not been used in

1:50 quite some time

1:51 but right behind these boards inside

1:56 there was where Ola ray and Michael

1:59 Jackson were sitting Michael Jackson was

2:02 chomping on the popcorn with excitement

2:04 yeah I love the old signage all rusted

2:08 out sitting here abandoned and then also

2:11 you'll notice as well right up here they

2:13 have this netting either to keep

2:15 something inside or to keep something

2:18 out like transferring into a werewolf

2:21 like Michael Jackson did his fingers got

2:25 all crazy I'd like to buy a ticket

2:55 Ola ray got a little bit terrified of

2:55 the movie Michael Jackson followed her

2:57 out of that exact location there was a

3:00 crane shot starting at the top coming

3:02 down take a look at this tile it looks

3:04 exactly the same as it did when they

3:06 filmed the music video exactly the same

3:09 from decades ago as well as the

3:11 undercarriage underneath the bottom of

3:14 the marquee looks exactly the same the

3:16 same lights the same structure the same

3:18 everything as well as the spot where the

3:21 ticket counter was right inside you can

3:24 see the spot where the ticket counter

3:25 actually was still they are formulated

3:28 into the floor

3:52 right down there at the edge where the

3:52 charcoal part of the road ends and it

3:55 lightens up is actually where the dance

3:57 scene was where Michael Jackson and a

3:59 whole group of extras dressed as zombies

4:01 we're doing their famous dance let's go

4:05 take a closer look looks like there's

4:07 some razor wire that's been placed up

4:08 here and some barbed wire barbed wire is

4:11 the first step of protecting and keeping

4:14 out criminals or in this case zombies

4:17 and if you want to take it up a notch

4:19 step it up a notch then you have to get

4:22 the razor wire right there the razor

4:24 wire right yeah sharp

4:38 you will notice that in this sky that

4:41 they have repaid greed formulated the

4:44 road however parts of the road

4:47 still exist from when they sell video

4:49 this was all repaid this was originally

4:53 in the music video all these tracks can

4:57 be seen all these nuances water drains

5:06 we are at hallowed ground with this

5:08 person the manhole the one of the

5:22 zombies right when the whole video

5:25 culminated into them all dancing in the

5:27 center of the road the zombie actually

5:29 would have popped its head Pig his head

5:32 out of that exact manhole right in here

5:35 the formulated choreographed dance all

5:38 happened the camera angle would have

5:41 been actually right about where that car

5:43 is now facing this way so let's go take

5:46 a look from that angle obviously a fan

5:50 of thriller

5:56 they had a huge crane shot the crane

5:59 would have been up in the air they were

6:01 all dancing here there was one scene

6:02 where as they were doing their dance

6:04 they ran underneath the crane you'll

6:06 notice behind me this brick wall this

6:08 red brick wall and what looks to be like

6:10 we're either photos or some sort of

6:14 signage was you can see the little

6:15 square areas right there smack dab in

6:19 the middle of this you can see this

6:20 prominently in the video and this last

6:22 square on the end actually did have some

6:26 sort of writing underneath this light

6:28 pole the same light pole that's in the

6:30 actual video in all the shots as they

6:33 were all dancing right in here you could

6:35 see that light lit up and there actually

6:38 was a sign with some sort of writing in

6:40 that very last square one of the zombies

6:43 one of the zombies has come back right

6:48 down there in the middle of the road not

6:53 a lot of entertainers and celebrities

6:54 have a calling card something that when

6:57 you think of them you relate to a

6:59 certain item that when you see that item

7:01 you think of that said person in Michael

7:04 Jackson was no exception

7:30 pretty awesome this is where the dance

7:30 scene happened

7:41 look at these beautiful Victorian houses

7:41 down this road is amazing as these are

7:44 we are here for this one in particular

7:48 because this is the house that Ola ray

7:51 as she was terrified ran up those stairs

7:55 and into this house in fact the tree the

7:58 tree limb is still protruding over the

8:00 front of it just like shown in the video

8:04 itself she would have ran right up those

8:06 stairs underneath that broken awning and

8:09 this creepy tree under the shadow of

8:11 nightfall if nightfall can have a shadow

8:15 the moonlight I should say
