welcome everyone Adam the whoo here
0:10
coming to you from the Tallahassee
0:12
Automobile Museum today we're gonna have
0:15
a lot of fun and that is no bull
0:20
join me shall you as I make my way from
0:24
the front sign and driveway towards the
0:27
very large building and entrance I'm
0:30
noticing this Star Wars relic a fully
0:33
armed and non operational TIE fighter
0:38
just see the gun there sitting out in
0:41
the elements all-weather worn this
0:43
platform has been built a makeshift
0:46
stage just to heighten the experience to
0:49
get a better view of Uncle Sam they
0:52
can't get too close to him he's got he's
0:54
got a fence around his feet in my former
0:56
travels I have passed this property a
0:58
few times either been closed or I've
1:00
been in too much of a hurry to stop I
1:02
have however stood in this courtyard but
1:05
I've never been indoors today I'm gonna
1:08
change that whoa there's a gator a 1930
1:13
rat-rod and it's only about waist-high
1:17
on me so right here is my belt be a
1:22
tight squeeze getting inside there but
1:25
how cool would have a cruise around on
1:26
that bad boy this 1975 Cadillac Coupe
1:30
DeVille has been named the Elvis mobile
1:34
however it was not owned by the king as
1:39
stated on that pamphlet but check out
1:42
the paraphernalia in here there's even a
1:44
skull right there between the seats it's
1:47
not just automobiles in here this gun
1:50
belonged to the one and only Buffalo
1:53
Bill right there he held that thing this
1:56
case is full of no no pun intended
2:00
full of case-knives for sale in that
2:02
case but I'm noticing one item that's
2:06
not for purchase is this nasa bowie
2:09
knife obviously getting into the heart
2:12
of the museum now old sports cars on
2:15
either side of me Burt Reynolds down
2:18
there in that frame photo
2:20
and this is the car that he made famous
2:22
and Smokey and the Bandit it's not the
2:24
one used in the film it's a couple years
2:26
older in fact it's a 1979 stated here
2:30
there are only ten miles on the car it's
2:33
only been driven ten miles
2:37
Powell Crosley used to make radios like
2:39
this one and refrigerators years later
2:42
he decided to try his hand at the super
2:46
convertible this one is a 1950 model and
2:51
it states down there that he went on to
2:53
own the Cincinnati Reds he bought them
2:57
he bought the Reds in 1948 there were
3:00
only fifty one of these Tucker's created
3:03
due to financial reasons and this is
3:06
number five of the forty-seven that
3:09
still exist it was also used in a movie
3:13
the 1988 Francis Ford Coppola film
3:18
Tucker the man and his dream that's a
3:21
movie car right there
3:22
speaking of movie Cars this needs no
3:25
introduction of course from Back to the
3:27
Future the DeLorean but they were made
3:30
before the movie came out this one 1983
3:34
Back to the Future didn't arrive in
3:37
theaters till 1985 of course now when
3:40
you see that you think of Doc Brown and
3:42
Marty and not John DeLorean funny how
3:45
things work out just noticed all the way
3:47
on the opposite side of the building is
3:50
something Back to the Future assets like
3:53
a banner there it's not by the car it's
3:56
just hiding over in the corner
3:58
before this 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air
4:02
gets running and needs its oil change
4:04
and that's what this lady is down there
4:06
doing doing a little maintenance work
4:07
she has her bags packed
4:09
and once this thing gets cranked up
4:11
she's going on a road trip as I've
4:13
stated before I do not know a lot about
4:15
classic cars I have learned a little bit
4:18
over different places that I have been
4:20
over the years but most of the
4:22
information I will be giving in this
4:24
video is written and I am reading off of
4:27
these little information placards
4:30
located in front of each car not
4:33
only was this car the first American one
4:35
that was made of a fiberglass body take
4:38
a look at the door it's the first that
4:41
have the door slide into the part of the
4:44
car itself into the fender side it's the
4:48
first one to do that the 1954 Keyser
4:52
Darin roadster have you ever seen a
4:54
horse made out of completely automotive
4:58
parts that's what this guy is
5:02
constructed of from his head to his neck
5:05
to his torso and legs all car parts
5:10
welded together mannequin version of
5:12
Marilyn Monroe I'm guessing I think
5:16
that's supposed to be Marilyn Monroe is
5:18
standing in front of this Cadillac
5:20
Eldorado convertible which Dwight D
5:24
Eisenhower rode in a similar car in his
5:27
inauguration parade 18 cents a gallon is
5:30
the price posted on that gas pump and
5:32
the company that made this was called a
5:34
char meter
5:35
they made gas pumps and clocks that's
5:37
why both are featured in the same item
5:41
they stopped making these in 1936 this
5:43
is a relic someone's about to go on a
5:45
vacation you bring in this along you got
5:48
to pick it up and stick it back in the
5:50
back plenty of room back there yeah
5:52
there's plenty you can bring that
5:53
there's there's plenty of room going to
5:55
the grocery stores how we get our milk
5:57
these days but back in the 50s you had
5:59
to have this milk truck deliver it and
6:02
this 1909 hub mobile they call it
6:07
strongly resembles a fire truck but I
6:10
don't think there's any hoses her items
6:13
have put out fires on there but it looks
6:14
just like a fire truck quite a few Model
6:17
T starting with a 1912 and a 1916 and a
6:22
1914 down on the floor a century old
6:25
tire hasn't decomposed still holding
6:29
strong and a panda bear playing a guitar
6:34
he can't believe his eyes he's got his
6:36
glasses tilted down to get a better view
6:39
of 1894 that's right 1894
6:45
yay hoping I pronounced that correctly
6:47
one of the oldest surviving fully
6:49
manufactured American pre-production
6:53
vehicles
6:55
Wow some serious history right there I
6:59
really like this place not only because
7:01
they have all this which I totally
7:03
expected but they have random items like
7:07
this jukebox in 1947 Mills jukebox as
7:12
well as some vintage record players
7:16
wonder if the needles still work look at
7:19
the name on this one rock Ola nice
7:25
what should we listen to moon mulligan
7:28
or Frank Sinatra among my souvenirs
7:32
that's a good one and now for the item
7:35
that drew me and the main reason the
7:38
focal point of why I pulled off the road
7:41
I read online that they had something
7:42
very fascinating and honestly unexpected
7:46
to find in a place like this a little
7:49
piece of history that is right there the
7:52
1860 horse-drawn hearse the carry
7:56
President Abraham Lincoln to Springfield
8:00
Illinois to his final resting place
8:04
amazing to even fathom or comprehend
8:07
that he would have lain right there
8:12
right behind that piece of glass the
8:15
coffin of the 16th President of the
8:19
United States starting in Washington DC
8:22
made its way up to Harrisburg
8:24
Philadelphia New York City Albany
8:26
Buffalo Cleveland Columbus Indianapolis
8:29
Michigan City Chicago and then to
8:31
Springfield and it wasn't all by the
8:34
same vehicle states here train funeral
8:38
car ferry and a number of horses ending
8:41
with the final one that you see in front
8:45
of me that took him to his tomb pretty
8:48
much the closest I or you or anyone for
8:51
that matter will get to Abraham Lincoln
8:54
is in the spot
8:57
I am now standing with my camera against
9:00
the glass looking in looking inside wow
9:06
that's incredible can be seen distinctly
9:09
in this artistic rendition right there
9:13
now the tomb to the left is where he was
9:16
originally buried but his body was
9:20
attempted to be stolen on many occasions
9:23
so they moved it to the top built a huge
9:27
monument and now he's buried under
9:30
layers and layers and feet and feet of
9:33
concrete he's no longer there at the
9:36
bottom of the hill he's up there
9:38
replicas of the gun used in the
9:40
assassination can be found right down
9:43
there and this wanted poster $50,000
9:49
reward if he had any information even
9:52
though a number of horses would have
9:54
pulled this from the front Lincoln's own
9:57
personal horse that he named old Bob
10:01
walked behind with a mourning blanket
10:05
over his back paying tribute to his good
10:10
friend that was placed right in there
10:13
not an item I would have expected to see
10:16
in the panhandle of Florida completely
10:19
separated from a lot of other Lincoln
10:21
artifacts but nonetheless it sits here
10:26
in this museum for all to see as are a
10:30
wide variety of classic Steinway pianos
10:36
like a half a dozen of them but this
10:39
one's missing
10:47
where'd that one go a meteorites a
10:47
dinosaur egg a brain weight a brain a
10:53
brain coral random hands or not that's
10:59
right come on in this section there are
11:02
a lot of insignias and badges from
11:06
police officers but down here
11:10
it states this gun was owned by Wyatt
11:13
Earp
11:14
that's his revolver right there all
11:16
these items make up a vampire killing
11:19
kit if you find that unbelievable just
11:23
read this it's documented right there in
11:26
those letters that's for killing
11:29
vampires that was just the first level
11:31
I'm now heading up this ramp to get to
11:33
the second floor this place is big this
11:36
might be more random than the bottom
11:38
floor tractors golfing paraphernalia
11:42
some wooden bulls stampeding and cash
11:48
registers if your forte are adding
11:52
machines you've come to the right place
11:54
there are a lot of adding machines is
11:59
this a funhouse mirror it is whoa Wow
12:10
never-ending amount of items this place
12:14
is a treasure trove all these radios
12:18
even a section dedicated to motorcycles
12:22
made to look like a locomotive it's
12:24
actually a limousine that was used for
12:26
promotional reasons by Publix pictures
12:32
also part of Paramount only 15 of these
12:36
were made and five still exist to this
12:39
day see the Paramount Pictures emblem
12:41
and dancing girls would stand on the
12:44
fenders and there in the back and stroll
12:47
through Hollywood promoting the new
12:50
films no one else is up here I'm the
12:52
only one on the top floor which is a
12:55
good thing because it leaves me
12:57
completely alone to enjoy this an
13:02
overload of goodness the Penguins yellow
13:06
dock a replica Batmobile holy cow this
13:12
is awesome one of the two used in the
13:15
production Batman Returns
13:18
she's eyeballing it look at her back
13:22
there
13:23
she likes it - not allowed to cross this
13:26
railing but back there in the distance
13:29
is the bat ski boat also from Batman
13:33
Returns heading up now into Moore's
13:38
mercantile I wonder if wonder if that's
13:41
more it's best not to try and touch him
13:44
in fact he stated so on a side he's made
13:47
a sign that's how much he does not like
13:51
being hugged plenty of products and
13:53
gizmos you have to wonder what some of
13:57
this stuff does this replica of the
14:00
African Queen has an interesting
14:03
nickname which can be seen posted around
14:06
the backside Puff the Magic Dragon
14:10
accept of living by the sea it could
14:14
live on the sea because it's a boat
14:17
that's not the only seafaring vessel
14:21
these look like canoes well this one's a
14:23
little bit bigger but that one resembles
14:25
a canoe but has much more comfortable
14:29
seating whoa that's a lot of motors at
14:34
least a hundred or more of them to be
14:37
honest and with that it's time to say
14:40
goodbye to the Tallahassee auto museum
14:42
highly recommend if you are near the
14:45
Tallahassee Florida area and you are
14:47
into cars antiques trucks outboard
14:53
motors boats movie paraphernalia
14:57

15:01
