0:07 very foggy downtown Orlando and this is

0:11 the courthouse here in Orlando Florida

0:13 you might remember that building from

0:16 the very famous Casey Anthony trial from

0:21 about five years ago the very highly

0:24 publicized trial in the court case

0:26 actually happened right inside of that

0:29 building but I'm not here to talk about

0:31 that I'm here to talk about a piece of

0:33 musical Adam the woo history back in the

0:35 early '90s I used to go to a lot of

0:37 concerts and I saw a lot of bands and a

0:40 major focal point of the venues that I

0:43 used to go to there was one in

0:44 particular that always sticks in my head

0:46 and it was called The Edge The Edge

0:48 concert field and the edge Outback they

0:51 called her there were two separate areas

0:53 of this property that I am going to show

0:54 you I am on my way up

0:57 to East Orlando and I'm I'm actually

1:00 going to be doing a podcast with Tom and

1:04 Dan The Tom and Dan show I actually did

1:06 their podcast last time which is

1:08 actually aired on Real Radio 104.1 but

1:11 this time I think I'm doing their BDM

1:13 show which would be pretty cool it's

1:15 kind of like an unedited thing I think

1:17 it's a little bit more risque and a

1:19 little more adult language oriented so

1:21 it's going to be very interesting to see

1:22 how I fit into that but I've been a big

1:25 fan of those guys shows for a long time

1:26 so it's going to be very cool to

1:27 actually go in again meet up with those

1:30 guys and do that podcast speaking of

1:33 podcasts Google search go on the

1:36 internet Google search the Chris and Jen

1:39 show the Tim tracker and the Gen tracker

1:42 and I went to their studio and we

1:45 actually did a podcast and they have

1:46 actually put the podcast me Tim and Jen

1:50 tracker the three of us sitting down on

1:52 the Chris and Jen show so just search

1:54 that the Chris and Jen show you can

1:56 listen to that right now I do not know

1:58 when the Tom and Dan show will Air

2:00 but probably next week but I am meeting

2:02 up with them here in about the next hour

2:05 to an hour and a half okay we have we

2:08 have divulged all that oh also by the

2:11 way today I'm hopefully later on today

2:13 going to be meeting up with the Explorer

2:16 group the proper people if you guys do

2:18 not follow them go on YouTube and search

2:20 the proper people hopefully I will be

2:22 hanging out with them and hopefully we

2:23 will be sneaking around and abandoned

2:31 this old venue this used to be called

2:33 The Edge and it's right here along this

2:37 train track now about 2 years ago you

2:43 the end of the train tracks and I

2:44 actually showed the old Edge shed that

2:48 has been bulldozed so if you want to see

2:50 what it looked like 2 years ago go

3:01 going to be about what they are doing

3:02 now with the property and some of the

3:05 memories some of the concerts I went to

3:08 some of the shows that I parked over

3:11 here where this Lynx bus stop is now

3:14 used to be the parking none of this was

3:16 here it was just an empty parking lot

3:19 and I went to quite a few shows with a

3:22 lot of really good friends and look you

3:23 can see that door is actually open look

3:26 at that side there 100 West Livingston

3:30 that's the old Edge Look at

3:40 that wow that is crazy that that door is

3:41 open they're doing some construction in

3:42 there I spent many of hours inside this

3:45 building I saw a lot of concerts I saw

3:48 tulle on the undertoe tour in 1994 I saw

3:52 Bad Religion in here I saw no effects in

3:54 here the very first Warp Tour in 1995

3:58 was inside this

4:00 building and the shed that I was talking

4:02 about used to be around the back and

4:03 they have torn that out inside here I

4:06 saw so many bands Sublime unwritten law

4:10 the concert field I saw Green Day in

4:13 1995 I saw panta right here in 1995 I

4:18 saw sound garden right here I saw candle

4:21 box right here in this concert field

4:25 they would set the stage up right here

4:27 and they would you would get probably

4:29 four or five ,000 people in this area so

4:31 there was basically three different

4:33 stages that this property of the edge

4:36 could actually use either the massive

4:39 concert field here or the Interiors of

4:42 the actual Edge Dance Club or the edge

4:46 shed out in the back so think about that

4:49 the very very first Warp Tour in 1995

4:52 where I saw the band gutter mouth which

4:54 at the time was one of my favorite bands

4:56 and how ironic that later on in life I

4:59 ended up joining that band and playing

5:01 base for the

5:03 band gutter Mouse so very very cool a

5:06 lot of history here a lot of memories

5:10 here Stone tiple Pilots played here and

5:13 I actually got to say hello to Scott

5:15 wiland who of course unfortunately

5:17 passed away a couple of months ago the

5:19 show got rained out it was a very rainy

5:21 day more rainy than this little drizzle

5:24 that we are getting now the show was

5:25 rained out but Scott wiland was standing

5:28 over there right against the wall up on

5:31 that little awning and I got to say

5:33 hello to him me and my friend Jason who

5:35 now runs the woan Facebook group and

5:38 also wrote the Adam the woo theme song

5:40 him and I used to come to a lot of

5:42 concerts out here I can't even think of

5:44 the hundreds of shows that I actually

5:47 got to see inside there mighty mighty

5:49 Bost Stones I saw inside of there lots

5:53 and

5:54 lots of memories right here and they're

5:57 putting down some new they're putting

5:59 down some new concrete here I'm going to

6:01 cross across the

6:02 street it's very interesting too another

6:04 memory sometimes when I would be inside

6:06 there it was all fenced off watching the

6:07 outdoor concerts there would always be

6:10 people up here on the

6:12 side of this hill trying to get like a

6:16 free

6:17 admission to the concerts people will be

6:19 standing all up here looking at the

6:22 venue which is now look at this this is

6:25 all being redone I think it eventually

6:27 became a country bar and now it's going

6:30 to be turned into Ace Cafe

6:33 Orlando pretty crazy so right over there

6:36 on that tree line was where the edge

6:39 shed was man that is insane they used to

6:43 do a thing called the sca hunk Fest

6:45 which is all local bands and it was

6:47 insane there was like hundreds of people

6:49 would come out to see the local bands

6:51 the very the support around there in the

6:53 early '90s for Scott and punk was like

6:55 massive and all of it happened back

6:57 there now that building has been bulled

6:59 so there you go the Ace Cafe Orlando is

7:02 taking over the property and no more

7:05 Edge the parking lot was right over

7:09 there now I got to see if I can walk

7:10 down this without actually slipping I do

7:12 not want to slip and

7:14 fall on

7:16 this okay I'm going to cross the road

7:18 we're crossing the road now look how

7:20 foggy it is in downtown Orlando right

7:25 now what if I should walk on this think

7:28 this is a good idea to walk on this this

7:29 let's not actually put our Footprints

7:31 actually you know what let's put our

7:32 Footprints in it no it looks like it's

7:34 hardened up I was going to leave my

7:35 footprint for all eternity as a a memory

7:40 here in downtown Orlando The Edge shed

7:44 The Edge concert field and the

7:48 Interiors of the edge whenever they

7:51 would queue up the que line to get into

7:53 the concerts you would actually stand

7:55 right in here so this would always be

7:56 full of hundreds of people lined up out

7:59 of the door and along this sidewalk and

8:04 I can remember when you're waiting in

8:05 line you get very very bored this is

8:07 before smartphones where you could be on

8:09 Twitter Instagram or Facebook which are

8:11 show social media platforms that I

8:13 actually have back then you would just

8:15 basically be twiddling your thumbs

8:16 waiting for the doors to open and I can

8:18 remember people being so bored that they

8:20 would climb these trees people would

8:23 climb

8:24 up

8:26 inside of these trees right in here so

8:30 the line would come out of here the lion

8:32 would come out of the door go along here

8:35 people will be in the trees and the line

8:37 would go down the road of course

8:39 everyone would park over there in the

8:42 parking lot that's the old that's

8:44 the old Edge that is insane of course we

8:47 cannot go on property cuz there are

8:50 cameras in motion and there is a massive

8:53 massive massive no trespassing sign a

8:56 little inside tip you never want to

8:58 trespass on property that actually has a

9:02 no trespassing sign that is a

9:04 construction area because the fines and

9:07 the legal ramifications are way worse in

9:10 those situations but there you go one

9:13 last look at the old Edge concert
