0:22 this is not Los Angeles this is Orange

0:24 County but it's interesting because I

0:25 moved here from Florida and in Florida

0:28 when people would ask from another state

0:30 that we're not familiar with Florida

0:32 small towns and they would ask where I

0:33 was from I would sometimes say I'm from

0:36 Orlando when technically I was 30

0:38 minutes or so from Orlando in St Cloud

0:41 and the same goes here in California

0:43 those that have not been to the West

0:45 Coast when they ask where do you live

0:46 now currently in California sometimes I

0:49 will say oh I live in the Los Angeles

0:52 area even though technically this is not

0:54 the Los Angeles area Orange County is a

0:57 whole separate County even though it's

0:59 only about 20 M or so from downtown Los

1:03 Angeles 25 mies maybe give or take in

1:06 California traffic terms that means it's

1:08 about three and a half hours during rush

1:32 established this Cemetery that is smack

1:36 dab in the middle of a Housing

1:40 Development the hustle and bustle of

1:44 society people coming home at night

1:46 leaving in the morning dropping their

1:49 kids off on the side of the streets for

1:51 school and you got to wonder if they

1:53 know up on the top of this hill is the

1:56 oldest cemetery in Orange County C

1:59 California created in the

2:03 1850s and the last person who was

2:05 actually buried at the cemetery I'm

2:07 about to show you was in the early the

2:10 early 1900s and now the cemetery is

2:13 closed off no one is being buried here

2:17 anymore everyone that is buried here is

2:21 never going to be visited by someone

2:24 else who's going to be buried here I do

2:26 not know where I'm going with that let's

2:28 just say no more people will be visiting

2:31 this

2:32 graveyard at least being put into the

2:35 ground to spend the rest of their time

2:38 here on Earth will not be entering this

2:40 graveyard say hello to the oldest

2:46 Yorba Cemetery

3:08 woo this is very interesting I had a

3:10 very hard time finding this I thought it

3:12 was going to be a cemetery that was very

3:14 easy to find but as I pulled in here I

3:17 thought I think my GPS system on my

3:19 phone is steering me wrong because why

3:23 would a cemetery be in a lovely

3:26 neighborhood like this and then as I

3:29 parked and I started to wander the

3:31 streets of this little Housing

3:33 Development I discovered some rod iron

3:35 gates at the top of a hill I climbed the

3:37 hill and I found

3:40 this very interesting Cemetery now the

3:44 cemetery on its own is very interesting

3:47 because you can see a lot of the

3:49 original fences that are actually around

3:52 the graves you can see some of the

3:54 original crosses and you can see the old

3:57 headstones all inside here now the gate

4:00 is actually locked and closed up they

4:03 allow you to visit here I believe one

4:06 Saturday a month and it's very

4:08 interesting this is not open to the

4:09 public so you cannot go and pay your

4:11 respects inside there unless you come on

4:14 the one Saturday a month that they

4:16 actually open the gates but the very

4:19 interesting thing the very peculiar

4:21 thing I find very interesting about this

4:23 particular Cemetery other than the fact

4:26 of the facts that I've actually shared

4:28 with you already is the fact fact that

4:30 there is a mystery around this a ghost

4:34 story around this a very interesting

4:37 urban legend around this particular

4:42 property a crow just flew by over this

4:48 tree that was pretty awesome actually

4:52 this is a fantastic

4:54 scene something out of almost a movie

4:57 these trees the birds the rod IR fence

5:00 the old timey historical Graves and

5:04 there's one grave in here that belongs

5:07 to a woman with the nickname the pink

5:11 lady and The Story Goes that in mid June

5:15 on a year that ends I believe in an even

5:18 number so not this year this is 2015 no

5:22 ends on yeah an even number so this year

5:25 would be an odd number 2015 next year is

5:28 an even number in mid June I cannot

5:31 remember the date I think it might be

5:32 June 15th between midnight and 4:00 a.m.

5:37 Story Goes that local residents over all

5:41 these years since the early 1900s they

5:44 see the woman come up from her grave and

5:47 wander the headstones to pay respects to

5:51 the rest of her family and friends who

5:53 are buried in this

5:57 Cemetery now what I am telling you is

6:00 basically coming out of my brain which

6:01 does not function correctly most of the

6:03 time and I'm spewing these words out of

6:05 my mouth and because these Vlogs are on

6:10 inaccurate facts and figures that I am

6:13 telling you don't hold that against me

6:15 please do your own research and look up

6:17 the Yorba cemetery and the ghost the

6:20 urban legend the mysterious stories

6:44 factual factual facts is that actually a

6:47 terminology I am not sure I was really

6:49 hoping I could find her grave but that

6:51 is actually not going to happen today

6:54 but you can see through these fantastic

6:58 fences the Graves that are in

7:01 there very cool and when you actually go

7:03 up to the front they actually have a

7:05 little informative area here on the

7:09 history of this Cemetery history speaks

7:14 softly the Yorba Cemetery captures

7:17 Orange County's Rich Rancho history in

7:22 1858 Bernardo Yorba deed this parcel to

7:26 the Catholic church for a cemetery and

7:30 here is the original Chapel which no

7:33 longer is out here the chapel no longer

7:36 exists so where we are standing there

7:38 was actually a chapel building in the

7:41 1890s a wooden San Antonio Chapel

7:44 replaced the original Adobe church under

7:48 construction when Bernardo Yorba died so

7:52 we're standing basically in the same

7:54 vicinity where the church was perhaps

7:57 the church could have been standing

7:59 right there next to the cemetery several

8:02 of the grave sites were once defined

8:05 with elaborate fencing you can see the

8:08 fencing and actually I showed you

8:10 earlier if you rewind it you can

8:11 actually see inside there are a couple

8:13 of those fences left at all here is a

8:16 photo capturing the view towards the

8:18 hills and away from the freeway this

8:22 Photograph shows how largely undeveloped

8:24 this land was in the

8:26 1960s so check this out there are no

8:29 homes as early back as the 1960s on this

8:33 hill which is that hill where all those

8:36 homes have been developed that's what it

8:38 looked like 50 years

8:47 ago very very interesting and check this

8:47 out here is one of the several cattle

8:49 brands used by Bernardo Yorba that's

8:53 actually his cattle brand which actually

8:56 that's the way ranchers Farmers when

8:58 they actually like SI signify which

9:00 cattle they own they actually brand

9:02 their cattle and that was his which also

9:05 leads me to this this is actually Yorba

9:07 Linda where did the Linda come in

9:09 obviously Yorba was that gentleman right

9:12 here created this Cemetery that now

9:15 houses the pink lady the ghost of the

9:19 pink lady does anyone know where the

9:21 Linda came in Yorba Linda California we

9:25 know where the Yorba is what is the

10:42 buried here including the pink lady and

10:48 you can see this grave here
