0:22 in since 1991 the town that I come back

0:25 to to relax to when I'm not traveling

0:28 the nether regions of the world in the

0:30 United States traveling cross country I

0:33 come back here to St Cloud Florida just

0:36 like it says right up there on the water

0:38 tower celebrating small town life it's

0:42 my second channel daily blog channel

0:44 it's the daily small town life version

0:50 thinking what is so small town about all

0:54 these vehicles driving quickly down this

0:57 highway well did you know that even a

1:00 small town maybe the small town that you

1:02 grew up in or that you have driven

1:04 through if there's a highway through a

1:06 town odds are very good that there

1:08 probably is a downtown area with a

1:12 little bit or a lot of history and St

1:15 Cloud Florida is no different in fact if

1:17 you ever drive through St Cloud Florida

1:19 and you're driving down Highway 192 just

1:22 look for this little street sign right

1:24 up here that says New York Avenue see it

1:27 right there New York Avenue in fact

1:30 there's a sign over there that says

1:31 Historic downtown so if you're driving

1:35 this way let's say from Disney World

1:37 straight this way towards the east coast

1:40 you're going to hang a left and you're

1:41 actually going to turn onto New York

1:44 Avenue if you're coming from the coast

1:46 on that side from Melbourne Florida

1:48 you're going to take a right onto New

1:50 York Avenue and you can get a little

1:52 taste of small town life and a little

1:54 fantastic downtown area that a lot of

1:57 people don't even know exist I'm going

1:59 to show you what it looks like from afar

2:02 and from up close right now so prepare

2:09 yourself I was telling you guys

2:09 yesterday I was gone for almost 5 months

2:11 on this last road trip and you return to

2:14 your hometown you start to realize

2:16 there's a lot of changes and a lot of

2:18 differences that a lot of people don't

2:19 realize because they're here and they

2:21 witness them every day but when you

2:22 don't go somewhere for 5 months and then

2:24 you return you start to notice every

2:26 little Nuance of difference and one of

2:28 the nuances that they have done down

2:30 here in downtown St Cloud is they have

2:32 removed asphalt like this right here and

2:36 they have brought to the forfront the

2:39 original Brick from The Original

2:41 downtown so I want to show you that I

2:43 made a comment about that yesterday

2:45 couple people were chiming in and asking

2:46 me questions about the original brick so

2:49 I want to give you kind of a closeup of

2:51 the original brick work and I want to

2:54 ask you some questions also about how if

2:56 you know maybe how they do that how do

2:59 they remove

3:00 concrete like this how do they remove

3:03 the concrete and bring back the original

3:06 brick that's underneath it I am not an

3:08 expertise in road work in any way shape

3:11 or form so maybe hopefully you can share

3:14 some info with me and tell me exactly

3:16 how that is done look at all these

3:17 branches a lot of branches here in the

3:19 middle trying to thwart our travels our

3:22 walking travels luckily I have long legs

3:25 so I can just step I can just step over

3:28 twigs and the nestling foliage that has

3:32 died right here but this Vlog is not

3:35 about dead foliage this Vlog is about

3:39 relife rebirth and reg goodness of a

3:43 classic downtown area look at this

3:51 SH now if that's not an old school

3:51 awesome downtown area Americana at its

3:55 finest I don't know what it is downtown

3:58 St Cloud Florida that is awesome and I'm

4:01 crossing right down the middle of the

4:02 road see you couldn't do this in a

4:04 highway most people in a highway would

4:05 just run you down or they would honk

4:07 there's no one honking at me look at

4:09 this no one is turning down this road

4:12 and here is that brick that I was

4:15 telling you about look at

4:22 this that is awesome that truck is

4:24 really loud we got a Bud Light truck

4:26 coming up behind us they've actually put

4:29 these signs up recently where it says

4:31 uneven pavement because there's no

4:34 pavement here anymore so it kind of

4:35 doesn't make any sense cuz there is no

4:38 payment that's brick it should say

4:40 uneven brick there used to be pavement

4:43 here now that they removed the payment

4:45 they've actually put pavement signs up

4:48 kind of confusing but I do understand

4:50 what they're going for because when

4:52 you're barreling down this way let's say

4:53 you're driving from Highway 192 and you

4:56 come up here into the downtown of New

4:58 York Avenue and then you hit this all of

5:00 a sudden your car starts shaking and

5:02 going crazy what's going on heck it what

5:04 is going on with my vehicle that is cool

5:09 I really like this kind of stuff I like

5:10 the old school feeling and the old

5:12 school Nuance of these awesome towns and

5:15 I also check this out up here see the

5:17 city hall building way up there probably

5:20 about eight or nine or 10 years ago

5:22 maybe even a dozen years ago I really

5:24 need to go back and do the research and

5:25 try to remember even though I've been in

5:27 this town since 1991 I can't remember

5:29 the exact date they built that but New

5:32 York Avenue used to go up another mile

5:34 one more mile up to Lake toopa kica

5:37 which I did the Vlog at yesterday they

5:39 put this in the middle creating more of

5:41 a downtown nuance and a feeling which is

5:44 really awesome that City Hall in the

5:46 clock tower there always kind of reminds

5:48 me of Hill Valley from Back to the

5:50 Future so I kind of get a little Back to

5:52 the Future Vibe when I'm down here in

5:54 downtown St Cloud this is really cool

5:56 I'm hoping somebody Drives By because

5:58 the sounds of tires

6:00 on this brick sounds really cool a lot

6:02 cooler than driving on concrete or

6:04 pavement so here comes someone driving

6:06 now but they're probably not going to

6:07 turn towards us let's see are they going

6:10 to turn are they going to turn please

6:12 they're not turning they do not want to

6:14 Brave the goodness of the brick the the

6:18 braving the brick that's what you should
