0:26 daily vlog channel that I started over

0:35 shock to a lot of you fact it starting

0:38 to seep in now as I press record it is a

0:41 shock to me as well but it is not

0:43 something that I made a decision rashly

0:47 or quickly on it is something that has

0:49 been wrapped around ups up here inside

0:52 the old noggin for many many moons and

0:57 you might ask yourself why Adam why are

1:00 you stopping doing the daily vlogs and

1:03 it's basically a three-part reasoning

1:07 the first two parts are kind of combined

1:09 and the third is the most appliable the

1:14 really the biggest reason and I'll start

1:16 with the first two that are kind of

1:18 melded together the first is well let's

1:21 backtrack a little bit

1:22 I started the atom the woot channel at

1:25 the end of 2009 into 2010 and officially

1:27 went full-time doing adventure videos if

1:31 you will on that YouTube channel the

1:34 atom the way that was just named after

1:37 Adam Luke me and I did that for a while

1:42 I did that for a few years and I got

1:44 this harebrained

1:46 crazy idea to start a video series where

1:50 every single day without fail no matter

1:53 what I did I would put something out

1:55 into the world out into the interwebs

1:56 and let people if they so choose to

2:00 latch on to that content now when it

2:02 started it was very unusual very

2:05 wishy-washy all over the place you go

2:08 back and watch those early those early

2:10 vlogs I didn't know where I was going

2:12 with it took me a while to Mel to morph

2:15 to really understand what I would be

2:18 doing but over time my idea came to

2:23 fruition and people started to enjoy it

2:25 and that became a very positive thing

2:28 but it also became a downfall in ways

2:31 where I felt required all fault of my

2:35 own to be able to adhere to a strict

2:38 schedule that I had set for myself by

2:41 filming all day editing at night

2:44 uploading putting on private making live

2:46 the next morning and then the DejaVu

2:48 train would begin again the next day and

2:51 over half a decade it has taken its toll

2:54 it has it has wormed its way into

2:58 certain other aspects of my life and

3:01 really started to make me realize how

3:03 I'm not seeing life with my own eyes so

3:09 that's the first point the second point

3:11 the two part of that scenario kind of on

3:16 the same level has to do with the fact

3:19 of how many people are now doing this

3:22 type of content on this platform

3:25 you know just vlogging they're basically

3:27 their daily adventures their daily life

3:30 what they're eating what they enjoy

3:31 seeing and all that is well and good but

3:35 I think the audience everyone who might

3:39 not be a youtuber vlogger those who are

3:42 watching from afar have started to

3:45 develop they've started to get use and

3:48 entitlement if you will on certain types

3:51 of things that they want to see and if

3:53 you do not present those things to them

3:56 they will it compared you to someone

3:58 else or they will either watch some

4:00 or not watch someone else but also leave

4:03 very harsh criticism and comments and

4:06 these are not obviously from trolls per

4:09 se or from haters these are from people

4:12 who have been watching since day one

4:14 they build up a relationship with you

4:16 they build up a kinship a friendship and

4:20 I've said this in the past that when you

4:22 are closer when you are friends or we're

4:24 with your family you talk to them in a

4:26 much more honest way and there are

4:28 sometimes people that are close to you

4:31 will share their opinion with you that

4:33 you might not necessarily agree with or

4:35 you might not necessarily want to hear

4:38 and it stresses you out a little bit and

4:40 when that is grown over what is now

4:42 probably around the hundred and forty

4:44 nine thousand 150,000 subscribers a lot

4:47 of those would have been watch my behalf

4:49 of those have been watching for more

4:51 than a number of years those opinions on

4:54 a daily basis no not weekly or monthly

4:56 but those opinions on a daily basis can

4:58 really man they can really hit you right

5:00 here or they can they can hit you up

5:02 here they can hit you where it where it

5:05 really hurts and everyone everyone loves

5:08 to be criticized and to have opinions

5:11 thrown their way because especially if

5:14 it's constructive it can help you you

5:16 know morph what you're doing and take

5:18 that aspect and make it better but when

5:21 it's every single day it starts it

5:23 starts to take its toll now the other

5:26 part of that two part so actually I

5:28 guess it's like a 2.5 part is the fact

5:31 by doing daily it's very hard to

5:33 pre-plan it's very hard to present

5:36 certain subjects now if I'm going to a

5:38 theme park or I'm going to an event that

5:40 subject is very easy to put into a neat

5:43 little daily package but when it's

5:45 something like a movie location or

5:47 something that requires a lot of

5:49 research in history and traveling that

5:52 cannot adequately in my opinion be shown

5:55 here on a daily vlog channel that needs

5:58 to be something that is molded and

6:00 sculpted and created over more than a

6:04 24-hour period and then you take the day

6:07 before and the day after that kind of

6:09 wedges its way into that 24 hour period

6:12 so you're not really having to

6:13 for our period to even do the research

6:15 in the planning so that's the two parts

6:19 that's a two point five parts originally

6:23 the atom of the wheel channel was all it

6:26 I started this for me this is a video

6:29 diary this YouTube / the daily rule will

7:12 channel you upload well the reason is

7:14 clear this is the second channel and now

7:16 it's very clear because now the atom the

7:18 wheel Channel will at some point become

7:21 the only channel and this will just be

7:23 that memory of memento of the past that

7:26 everyone including me can look back on

8:57 daily vlog I have a requirement to those

9:00 who watch and myself to upload footage

9:03 all the time and I dig lected hanging

9:07 out with those that are close to me on a

9:09 special day my birthday I look back at

9:13 that and I think why am I doing this to

9:14 myself I'm 43 years old why in the heck

9:17 have I set this aspiration and goal to

9:20 myself how long is it going to continue

9:22 six years seven years eight years nine

9:24 years ten years I have nothing left to

9:26 prove to anyone or to myself but after

9:28 five years I have been able to what I

9:31 consider to put out halfway decent

9:33 content enjoyable facts and figures and

9:35 things sometimes just random roamings

9:38 around I have done my duty some would

9:41 say and if I wanted to go home and sleep

9:43 well but I have the ability to do that

9:46 so neglecting friendships and family and

9:49 time that is something I need to start

9:51 living life again I need to start I can

9:55 start living life throughout

9:58 or without the help of social media and

10:01 videos now what does this mean what

10:05 conclusion can we draw for this I am not

10:07 quitting videos I am NOT gonna quit

10:10 creating oh no no in fact completely the

10:13 opposite will happen over time let me

10:17 digress a little bit for now I will be

10:20 taking a hiatus an extended break if you

10:25 will from YouTube from the internet from

10:29 this platform and from the eyes the

10:32 viewership of everyone everyone that's

10:35 watching will no longer know what I am

10:38 doing on a daily basis you will however

10:41 if you so choose to stick her out to

10:44 wonder what is in the heart the minds

10:47 the minds only have one mind and the

10:50 soul of mr. Adam the woo you will be

10:53 able in the future it might be in a week

11:24 am not proud of what I have accomplished

11:26 here in the last five years but YouTube

11:29 is changing what you want to see what

11:32 others want to see is changing and I I

11:35 understand that and I've seen that

11:38 through the evolution those who watch

11:40 the comments I've seen all that

11:44 so that's what's gonna happen I'd like

11:47 to say a certain pinpointed date on when

11:50 that will happen but for now the daily

11:52 woo is coming to an end tomorrow around

11:55 this time sadly there will not be a

11:59 video uploaded here in fact there might

12:02 not ever be another video uploaded about

12:04 here and that's not to say in two years

12:06 from now I don't start daily vlogging

12:08 again but for now I need to take a break

12:11 I need to I need to just step back do

12:15 some thinking and I got some I got some

12:20 ideas that is this this this spiel is

12:24 not about my ideas this spiel is about

12:26 one subject and that is the end of my

12:30 tenure here on The Daily woo my

12:34 friendship my kinship with you will

12:52 interesting life I have chosen for

12:54 myself in fact there are only a handful

13:10 insanity the strict amounts of craziness

13:16 I have set for myself like I said no

13:19 fault of anyone but my own

13:27 fail uploaded every single day but it

13:29 was at the same time period every single

13:31 day everyone new around the same time

13:33 Adam was gonna have a new video that was

13:36 gonna be OK to watch and that's why you

13:40 subscribed 150,000 subscribers which

13:44 that will drop considerably because some

13:47 people might leave the Adam Luke channel

13:49 has 300,000 subscribers so take what

13:52 this channel has double that that is

13:55 where new videos will be posted and I

13:58 will also leave you with this well that

14:00 not gonna quite leave you but I'm almost

14:02 to the end some of the new stuff I will

14:05 be doing will be still traveling I will

14:09 still be continuing on but it will be

14:11 snippets and topics that are not in one

14:15 spot they are places peppered in from

14:19 all over the place not just here in

14:21 California not just here in other states

14:23 not just across the US but this will

14:25 give me the ability not being on a time

14:27 crunch to travel international when that

14:29 time comes for now that's not going to

14:31 happen the wheels need to formulate I

14:34 need to rest I need to sleep I need to

14:38 think I need to go to places that I

14:40 enjoy without being without it being in

14:45 the public eye I want to do things that

14:48 I love that I have not done without a

14:50 camera in my hand for five plus years I

14:53 want to do that I want to hang out with

14:55 my friends like it used to be I want to

14:58 hang out with my family the way it used

15:01 to be not always worrying and wondering

15:05 what people are gonna think where people

15:07 are going to say and I am very I'm a

15:12 very stubborn person all that bounces

15:16 off of you you know it's like what is it

15:18 water off a duck's back that works a

15:22 friend of mine made this analogy a long

15:25 time ago that people you know what when

15:27 they say thanks whether it be positive

15:29 whether it be

15:30 now get a maid the analogy of when

15:32 someone rubs a feather in your face

15:34 you laugh it elite you laugh out of it

15:37 first when someone does it for a week

15:38 straight you kind of get annoyed when

15:40 someone does it every day and this

15:42 someone is the entire internet it's not

15:45 one particular person it's not one thing

15:47 it is the vast majority of around 30,000

15:51 people a day watch the videos and

15:53 sometimes even though they try to be

15:56 kind hearted sometimes a a little bit of

15:59 negativity slips on and that can that

16:03 can be depressing so that and the other

16:06 three so with someone rubs a feather in

16:10 your face for five years in two months

16:12 and I have the feather is something I

16:18 made something I created what the heck

16:22 man like every day my life has been this

16:27 and I want to take the energy and the

16:31 dedication and the time factor and I

16:33 want to roll that over into the next

16:35 project no spoilers but what I am going

16:39 to do will be completely different than

16:42 this it's kind of sort of what I used to

16:44 do but completely different then we are

16:47 used to here on the vlog Channel and in

16:49 my humble opinion will be considerably

16:52 better and stand the test of time in the

16:55 test of anyone who looks back and says I

16:59 never knew that I never I am excited and

17:03 I'm not gonna jump into it immediately

17:05 because that would just be frivolous and

17:07 unwise based on the statements I have

17:10 been making now what am I gonna do so

17:14 what happens after this vlog is

17:16 uploading to do tomorrow the next day in

17:17 the next week in the next month or

17:19 however long I'm going to enjoy life I'm

17:22 going to travel

17:23 I'm gonna take my RV out I'm gonna sleep

17:26 in my RV I'm gonna go out into the

17:27 desert I'm going to just

17:30 see the world I'm gonna see things

17:32 without without the harness without the

17:34 ball and chain of the internet for a

17:36 while that's what I'm gonna do and then

17:38 I might go see some family I might fly

17:41 to places I might go to different cities

17:42 who knows what the heck I'm going to do

17:45 I don't even know and you sure the heck

17:49 are not gonna know no one's gonna know

17:50 and that that needs to happen I love
