0:23 force has been awakened I'm talking

0:26 about episode 7 the movie that came out

0:29 over the weekend and the very highly

0:32 anticipated highly hyped and very

0:36 exciting new film by JJ

0:39 Abrams basically the sequel to Return of

0:42 the Jedi which people like me who are

0:45 huge fans of the original trilogy were

0:48 looking forward to and are looking

0:50 forward to in fact I say that are

0:52 looking forward to is because not

0:54 because you're a pirate but because you

0:56 might not have seen the movie yet so I

0:57 am going to try to keep this vlog

1:00 this review of the force

1:03 awakens episode 7 that I saw yesterday

1:07 afternoon I'm going to try to keep it

1:09 relatively spoiler free what I mean by

1:12 spoiler-free is I will not give any

1:14 major plot hole Loops

1:18 plot twists and turns I will not give

1:21 any major pinpointed plot spoilers out

1:26 however you probably will hear little

1:28 things in the this Vlog that you

1:31 probably did not know about the movie

1:32 little things because that is

1:34 unavoidable when someone expresses their

1:36 opinion you're going to feel my emotions

1:37 you're going to feel me talk about

1:38 certain characters even though those

1:40 characters might not have actually went

1:43 on to do certain things in the movie

1:44 that really twist the plot around you

1:47 will learn things let's call

1:49 that not let's call this the

1:51 non-spoiler free Adam the woo take

1:56 review if you will on episode 7 it's my

1:58 second channel daily vlog channel it's

2:01 the daily

2:03 woo if you do not want to hear anything

2:05 about the movie then you watching the

2:07 wrong Vlog you should probably turn this

2:08 Vlog off now wait till you see the movie

2:13 opinions kind of gel with your opinions

2:15 or if you're completely opposed to what

2:17 I am thinking I am just one man I am not

2:19 a director I do not make feature film

2:22 movies I do not even know how to go

2:24 about putting a movie together in that

2:27 facet so these are all my opinions what

2:29 I I'm saying is not by any stretch of

2:32 the imagination the law or the opinion

2:34 of what you might have this is just how

2:36 I feel as an old school 80s Child Star

2:41 Wars in 77 The Empire Strikes Back and

2:43 then the culmination of my favorite

2:45 Trilogy the Star Wars Trilogy Back to

2:48 the Future I'm a huge fan of it mostly

2:50 Back to the Future one the trilogy I

2:52 think the best the best Trilogy is the

2:54 original Star Wars Trilogy in my opinion

2:57 followed by Back to the Future my

2:58 favorite Star Wars movie in case you

3:00 were asking Empire Strikes Back number

3:02 one Return of the Jedi and then the very

3:04 first episode which is now called A New

3:06 Hope which back when originally when it

3:08 came out on VHS and I originally saw it

3:10 it was not called a new hope it was just

3:12 called Star Wars I actually have the

3:14 original VHS series put out by Fox not

3:17 the television show Fox but the VHS

3:21 company Fox put out the fox video

3:23 cassette that still have that box set so

3:25 for me that is what Star Wars is all

3:29 about the old school

3:32 8s child in me and that was what I was

3:35 hoping for with this new film and let me

3:39 also start off by saying JJ Abrams did

3:41 an amazing job on this film this film

3:44 does not by any stretch of the

3:46 imagination suck if you will this movie

3:49 is actually really well done really well

3:53 made and pretty freaking awesome now

3:56 that I have said that I will now tell

3:59 you that I actually actually did not

4:00 really like the film I left the theater

4:03 very sad not because of the events that

4:07 happened in the movie but just because I

4:10 felt it did not live up to what my

4:12 expectations were now maybe that is my

4:15 own fault it probably is my own fault

4:19 and like I was saying for a movie that

4:21 came out that came out 22 years after

4:24 its predecessor now the prequels I do

4:27 not count as part of the the Star Wars

4:30 legacy in fact here's an interesting

4:32 thing too A lot of people are probably

4:33 going to conflict with my opinion on

4:36 this review of this new movie The

4:39 episode 7 but when the very first

4:41 prequel came out I went to the movie

4:43 theater to see it was very disappointed

4:46 told all my friends who were also Star

4:48 Wars fans what my opinion was and they

4:50 all contradicted me they said no man the

4:52 movie was great it was great it was

4:54 great we as Star Wars fans we like to

4:57 hold everything Star Wars at such a high

5:01 Pinnacle that we will not accept that

5:03 something is mediocre or lackluster but

5:06 over time most of the population the

5:09 consensus of the Star Wars fandom kind

5:12 of side with my original opinion about

5:14 the prequels not being that good in fact

5:16 I have not actually seen the second

5:18 prequel or the third prequel all the way

5:20 through I refuse to really watch them I

5:22 have seen them at people's houses them

5:23 watching it watching bits and bits and

5:25 pieces of it and it really was not my

5:27 cup of tea my forte so I never got into

5:30 the prequels so for me Star Wars and

5:32 what I in my mind envisioned Star Wars

5:35 to be and in my heart especially are

5:38 those prequels not prequels the original

5:41 the original Three not the

5:43 prequels so let's go on to my review of

5:47 what the movie was about started off

5:49 very strong very good introduction of

5:51 new

5:52 characters I had High Hopes at the

5:55 beginning of of the movie and I really

5:57 started to a few things I disliked about

6:01 the film The Dark Side the evil villain

6:04 was so ominous and so powerful and way

6:08 more evil now keep in mind I have not

6:10 really focused on the prequels I going

6:12 off the original Three this villain this

6:15 dark side presence that is on the screen

6:19 was so evil and he created killed so

6:21 many people so much Carnage that it was

6:24 almost disheartening to the point where

6:26 this guy is trying to make Vader Darth

6:30 Vader look like a has been or a nobody

6:33 he is trying to one up Vader by just

6:36 killing everyone and a lot of things

6:38 when you watch the movie you will see

6:40 how much destruction how much death that

6:42 this one character

6:45 leads leads this Army this new Army of

6:48 the dark side so that was a little bit

6:51 you know understandable you know time

6:54 goes on things progress evil gets worse

6:56 and worse and worse and worse and worse

6:58 but then among mon all of this some of

7:01 the good guys that are in some of these

7:03 scenes some of the dialogue that was

7:06 conflicted between the good guy quote

7:08 unquote Good Guys the light side and

7:11 this menacing Dark Side creature you

7:14 know the the main Figure

7:16 Head was kind of comical almost like

7:20 almost like it didn't really fit in I

7:21 know in the original Han Solo you know

7:23 very sarcastic but he had a very

7:25 sarcastic serious tone to his comedy

7:28 some of the jokes

7:30 In the Heat of battle back and forth

7:32 were almost like a little too comical

7:34 for my taste and that's when I knew like

7:36 okay we're taking a different turn to

7:37 the Star Wars Universe here and that was

7:40 fine things progressed and progressed

7:42 and I will say this also that JJ Abrams

7:45 did a heck of a job with keeping things

7:47 old school the way it is filmed the

7:49 shots the actual models they used

7:53 instead of using 100% CGI I give JJ

7:56 Adams a huge Thumb Thumbs Up for that

7:59 however there were a few creatures in

8:01 the movie that look like the creatures

8:03 in the prequels or in the original

8:06 trilogy when they did the enhance

8:07 version when George Lucas put all that

8:09 CGI in there were a few creatures in

8:11 that that were main characters that were

8:14 kind of hard to watch they were too

8:16 cartoony and I thought if you're going

8:18 to go that far with actually putting in

8:22 legitimate models having real people in

8:24 masks and costumes then why throw in a

8:27 couple of characters that are most main

8:30 characters that are CGI and are very

8:32 hard for me in my 80s mentality to

8:35 actually watch now some people are

8:37 probably not even noticed that they are

8:38 actually CGI it all kind of just seem

8:40 together it's all a fantasy movie I get

8:42 it but for me like I said personally for

8:44 me those things were very very very hard

8:48 for me to kind of cope with and kind of

8:50 deal with and also remember in the

8:53 trailer when Han Solo is standing next

8:56 to chewbaca and he says chewy we're home

9:01 that was the Pinnacle of the trailer

9:03 that was the that was the thing that

9:04 everyone stood up and cheered for and

9:07 belted out a joyous happy

9:11 exciting heck yes Star Wars is back

9:14 including me but when you watch that

9:16 scene in the movie at least for me I

9:20 actually realized that that that piece

9:22 of dialogue was put in there for one

9:24 specific reason and that was to make the

9:27 trailer for the force awakens episode

9:30 seven more powerful it seems like that

9:33 line that Han Solo Harrison Ford's

9:35 character next to Chewbacca delivered

9:37 when you see what I am talking about and

9:38 they deliver that line it doesn't make

9:40 any sense on why he said it in that

9:42 facet and I think they originally wrote

9:45 that specifically that way the trailer

9:48 would have more impact to hook more

9:50 people in and it hooked me in you got me

9:52 on that one so when those two things the

9:55 weird CGI the kind of jokey things that

9:57 were happening that were a little bit

9:58 different than the original humor of the

10:01 original there's an alarm going off

10:03 someone someone if you're thumbing this

10:05 down which I know it's going to get a

10:06 lot of thumbs down because not

10:07 everyone's going to agree with my

10:08 opinion when you thumbs this down you're

10:10 going to he you're going to hear a bell

10:13 ring every time a bell rings someone

10:16 thumbs a video down you can thumbs this

10:19 down if you disagree with me or you can

10:20 thumbs it up if you agree with my

10:22 opinion like I said what I am sharing

10:25 with you really does not have anything

10:28 to do with the general conent sensus

10:29 that the population has is just my

10:31 opinion my YouTube channel my thoughts I

10:33 just wanted to share my thoughts on

10:35 this some other things that left me

10:39 feeling

10:40 flat the soundtrack to the movie The

10:43 Original

10:45 score really I did not think had the UMP

10:49 that it needed there were a lot of

10:50 Throwbacks to the original there were a

10:52 lot of music cues from the original

10:54 trilogy which also got the heart pumping

10:57 but as far as a new original SC I think

11:00 it really did not escalate to the

11:04 PowerHouse that it could have had it did

11:06 not have a great original score let's

11:09 talk about the bad guy let's talk about

11:10 this villain this ominous creature that

11:13 was so amazingly

11:15 powerful in the beginning he's very

11:17 amazingly powerful and not even halfway

11:19 through the movie This villain Reveals

11:22 His Real self half of the rest of the

11:24 movie he has his mask off and I thought

11:27 to myself why in the heck is this guy

11:30 who basically is about 30 years old

11:33 leading this entire Empire why does he

11:35 have such a strong why does he have such

11:38 strong Powers at such a young age and

11:41 why is he even wearing this mask Darth

11:43 Vader was an older man had the mask on

11:45 because he needed it basically to

11:47 breathe when he took the mask off at the

11:49 end of Return of the Jedi Luke even says

11:51 if I take the mask off you will die

11:53 Darth Vader was converted from the Dark

11:55 Side back to the light and did not care

11:57 if he was actually going to die and we

11:58 ended on on that high note this movie

12:00 completely different the menacing

12:03 character takes his mask off at will

12:05 it's basically just like it's Halloween

12:07 for him he's running around with a

12:08 Halloween mask on just did not really

12:11 understand the point of that and then

12:14 it's almost like once he started

12:15 frivolously taking this mask off to show

12:18 his handsome young self with flowing

12:21 hair it's funny too because he takes his

12:22 mask off and his hair is like in

12:24 pristine Condition it's not all he

12:26 doesn't have hat hair at all so that was

12:29 kind of bothersome to me as well and

12:31 then near the end of the film this you

12:36 obviously know the female lead in the in

12:39 in the trailer is going to be basically

12:41 a big incal part of the movie just by

12:43 watching the trailer she ends up

12:47 fighting this ominous character at some

12:50 point and you realize that this Beast of

12:54 a man at the beginning this Evil dark

12:57 Side Beast really is not as power

12:59 powerful as he put on to be which is

13:02 also kind of discouraging is he powerful

13:04 is he not powerful kind of a weak a weak

13:08 character in my opinion for the Darth

13:11 quote unquote Darth Vader S I got to go

13:13 with side I got to go with Team Vader on

13:16 this one so those are some things I

13:18 really did not like about the movie and

13:20 without giving any major Major Spoilers

13:24 the biggest disheartening part as I left

13:27 the theater was the fact that my Star

13:30 Wars hero the savior of Star Wars the

13:36 quote unquote I use that a lot in this

13:38 Vlog the New Hope if you will the one we

13:43 all have rooted for for

13:46 Generations did not really serve a whole

13:49 heck of a lot of a purpose in this film

13:51 and that I think really was the icing on

13:55 the cake really bummed me out and really

13:59 really makes me kind of think in my mind

14:02 and my heart that I am not going to

14:05 really be excited about the future of

14:07 the new Star Wars now a lot of people

14:09 will be I'm I'm turning into an old man

14:11 here I am from an older generation of

14:13 Star Wars and I know the new movie it

14:16 was fantastically made there are some

14:18 clever plot twists in it people are

14:21 going to love it but for me it kind of

14:24 ended like almost with a like a I'm not

14:28 really a punch to the face or a kick to

14:30 the nether regions but I kind of felt

14:34 that me as a fan of the

14:39 original trilogy and and the New Hope

14:43 the one person who was supposed to save

14:45 us really did not do what he was

14:48 supposed to do and that is very

14:50 discouraging in my mind now I know

14:53 people are not going to agree with me

14:54 but I just wanted to share that I

14:56 personally I love the way the film was

14:58 made it was it was awesome the way this

15:01 everything was put

15:03 together but in my heart I cannot safely

15:06 say that I love the movie on a personal

15:08 level I did not like it on a personal

15:11 level on a film making level for putting

15:14 a sequel out a sequel to Return of the

15:18 Jedi if you will almost 30 years after

15:22 the original ended in the timeline of

15:25 Star Wars JJ Abrams and the whole crew

15:28 did a heck of a job a huge thumbs up to

15:31 JJ Abrams for what he put out there but

15:33 I just do not know if me the new school

15:35 Star Wars is meant for me it is not

15:39 tarnished it is not polished to be

15:41 presented towards me there were a lot of

15:43 Throwbacks I got a lot of smiles there

15:46 were a lot of highs in this movie and

15:48 there were a lot of

15:49 lows in this movie I would like to know

15:52 your opinion now I will also say even

15:54 though I am not giving any Major

15:57 said that you probably did not read

15:59 realized but I did not give you any of

16:02 this movie I did not give you any of

17:14 discuss things as we go what we liked

17:16 what we did not like so for

17:19 me this movie was far more Superior than

17:23 the prequels this may the prequels make

17:26 this movie look like the most epic movie

17:28 movie of all time based on the original

17:32 trilogy this movie Falls a little bit

17:35 flat for me so that's my review thanks
