0:06 6:19 a.m. The sun is not even up yet and
0:06 I'm already in route to the airport. Got
0:08 about half a tank. Need to rectify that
0:11 because I'm returning the rental
0:19 car. Looks like the sun's starting to
0:20 rise.
0:26 Goodbye rental car. You served me well.
0:26 Taking one of these flights. It looks
0:29 like it's on time, so that's good. And
0:32 this is the test to see if I can get
0:34 through security with the Majestic. This
0:37 one's all set. For future reference, the
0:40 batteries that connect to the
0:41 drone, I set the alarm off and they
0:44 search me.
0:46 I had my groin area searched. It's kind
0:49 of better than coffee.
1:06 The day begins.
1:06 Welcome everyone. Adam the Woo here.
1:08 Everything I need is in these two bags
1:12 or in my pocket. Just so you know, I'm
1:15 bringing these two fellas along for the
1:17 ride. It's my second channel, Daily Vlog
1:19 channel. It's the Daily Woo.
1:33 security in front of you.
3:13 This roof is
3:13 crazy. Neon lights.
3:25 I have successfully arrived. And where
3:26 is it that I have
3:28 arrived?
3:29 Chicago on a whim.
3:33 Now, where am I going to go? Wherever
3:36 the wind blows, which kind of works out
3:38 because this is, as we all know, the
3:40 windy city. I've ordered an Uber to take
3:42 me to my first destination. If you want
3:45 a free Uber ride, use my coupon code
3:47 Uber
3:49 ATW. And the reason I'm going to be able
3:51 to get around Chicago for the duration
3:54 of how long I am here is because I have
3:56 accumulated these Uber rides. If you use
3:59 an Uber, you get a free ride and then I
4:01 get a free ride in return. So, that's
4:03 going to be my transportation for the
4:05 tenure of my visit.
4:13 Sir, I don't mess around here, huh?
4:31 Yeah. And there he goes. I have been
4:31 dropped off in a neighborhood I have
4:33 never been in
4:36 before. And why am I here? Because the
4:38 house that Walt Disney was born in is
4:41 right there. Look at all these
4:43 footprints embedded in the concrete
4:46 here. December 5th,
4:50 1901 on the second floor of
4:53 this
4:55 home, Mr. Walt Disney was birthed and
4:59 they are restoring it to its former
5:02 glory of what it looked like way back on
5:06 that historic moment.
5:13 There are engravings all along the
5:13 sidewalk and then you go up the
5:16 stairs to the front
5:20 door. Yeah, look at that. Definitely
5:23 doing some work in there. Is it just me
5:25 or are you seeing this?
5:26 Also, hidden Mickey. That is pretty
5:29 freaking cool. I'm not going to lie.
5:31 Now, I'm not a 100% sure on which of the
5:34 top bedrooms it
5:37 was, but it's crazy to think that right
5:40 up there on that second floor, the birth
5:43 of a legend. He was a pretty
5:44 inspirational guy in my life. Inspires
5:47 me to do a lot of stuff. So, this is
5:49 really cool to see in person. And in all
5:51 this excitement, I have misplaced my new
5:55 sunglasses. They're nowhere in the bags.
5:57 They are nowhere on me. They are lost.
6:00 Sad trombone. Wamp wamp wamp
6:19 wamp. Even though I don't know where my
6:19 glasses are, I'm not going to let that
6:21 bring me down. Got a pretty decent room
6:23 with one heck of a view of downtown
6:27 Chicago. Should be able to get some
6:29 really good
6:31 timelapses from this area. I'm pretty
6:34 excited about this room. I didn't think
6:36 I was going to get this epic of a view,
6:39 but I did.
6:47 Success. Man, Chicago
6:50 is crazy looking. Look at these
6:55 buildings. Look at that train. It's like
6:57 something out of a TV show or a movie.
7:00 You might remember that
7:02 skyscraper from the movie Adventures in
7:05 Babysitting, but this was not in the
7:08 Elizabeth Shoe Classic. This crazy large
7:12 beam. This thing is wild. You can see
7:14 the reflections of people looking in it,
7:16 as well as the buildings and the skyline
7:19 of downtown. That's me right there. I'm
7:22 underneath it. And now I'm walking out
7:24 from underneath the bean
7:28 itself. Very bizarre, but also very,
7:32 very
7:33 awesome. I'm wondering if the bean at
7:36 some point when it gets wintertime and
7:39 that wind is blowing off of Lake
7:41 Michigan ever wears a
7:47 beanie. Okay, that was a bad joke. Look
7:48 at that shot of the sun setting between
7:50 the buildings.
7:52 Majestic. If I was a betting man, I
7:54 would say they have had quite the
7:57 shindig in this
8:06 venue. I can't express how awesome that
8:06 looks. I'm going to take the drone up
8:07 now and try to get some shots not only
8:09 of the lake, but also the skyline.
8:14 Chicago meets a gargantuan huge lake
8:17 that should be designated an ocean, but
8:20 it's not because it's the size of an
8:22 ocean, but it's really a lake and that
8:24 wind comes whipping off of it, careening
8:26 itself into these massive skyscrapers of
8:30 historical goodness and new goodness.
8:32 You know, there are some new structures
8:35 in there here and there, but there is a
8:37 lot of history here, too. I don't know
8:39 where I'm going with this because this
8:41 view is blowing my mind.
8:44 Top of that building says go Cubs. I
8:46 think they're doing pretty good this
8:48 year. This could be the year. This is
8:49 normally an open to the public fountain
8:52 and these faces will spit water at you,
8:56 but it's under construction right now
8:58 and you can't get in. That is kind of
9:01 sort of moderately creepy. That face is
9:04 like blinking and staring at
9:11 me. Good thing it's closed. That's kind
9:11 of terrifying. It's a pretty nice name
9:13 for a road. And that not only is very
9:16 interesting, but also right down here is
9:18 something else very interesting. Right
9:20 here amongst the hustle and bustle of
9:22 this big city is the beginning of Route
9:25 66. It ends at the Santa Monica Pier.
9:28 So, I can now officially say I've been
9:30 to both signs, California and Chicago,
9:33 Illinois. That's pretty cool. Right now,
9:34 I have not eaten anything all day.
9:36 Chicago was known for two basic types of
9:40 delicacies.
9:41 pizza and hot
9:45 dogs. So, heckets, I'm going to
9:49 eat. I got
9:52 one. I don't know if it's appropriate or
9:55 any kind of tradition to eat a hot dog
9:57 in a Chicago alley, but that's kind of
10:00 what I'm doing. Look at this. This thing
10:02 is like loaded up with everything.
10:17 tomatoes. I just ate some sort of spicy
10:17 green bean they put on this. I have to
10:19 tell you the truth, this is probably one
10:21 of the best hot dogs I've ever eaten in
10:24 my life.
10:46 Back in the mid 1970s, there was a TV
10:46 show kind of like Columbbo, but it had a
10:48 little bit more of a mysterious like
10:51 paranormal type of vibe to it. And the
10:54 detective's name was Colchack the
10:56 Nightstalker. And every episode you
10:59 would hear the train go by his office as
11:01 he looked out the window. And that is
11:06 the exact spots from the TV show right
11:10 there. The star of the show was the
11:12 father from A Christmas Story and also
11:14 Adam Sandler's dad in the movie Billy
11:17 Madison. And I could just picture him up
11:19 there on his typewriter typing away when
11:21 he hears a creepy sound. This is kind of
11:24 interesting.
11:26 It's a couple sitting on a couch with
11:28 their dog. Whoa. Must be Bert Reynolds
11:31 or something.
11:41 Is it wise to be walking around Chicago
11:41 at night? I'm sure it's fine, but being
11:43 a stranger in a strange town, I figured
11:46 I'd ask. I think I just answered my own
11:48 question. There are some medieval
11:50 warriors battling in the park.
11:58 Seems pretty dangerous. I'm going to get
11:58 out of here before it gets worse. And
12:00 there's more fighting. These are just
12:02 normal people. They're not even in
12:03 medieval garb. What the heck is going on
12:06 here,
12:15 Chicago? A very full
12:15 day to say the least. It's time to
12:20 say
