0:36 comes into play the 80s are my favorite

0:40 genre and favorite era of movies so I

0:44 was pretty happy to see this shirt thank

1:07 they are doing soft openings I was there

1:09 all day yesterday up until about 4:30 or

1:13 5:00 p.m. it looked like the Wizarding

1:16 World of Harry Potter would not open for

1:19 soft opening yesterday there was a

1:21 sadness down my face and in my heart but

1:25 alas stayed the course looked to the sky

1:29 for hope and they opened the floodgates

1:33 into Hogs me I think is the name of that

1:36 little area Hogs me into Hogwart is it

1:40 hogsworth or Hogs wart I'm a Noob when

1:44 it comes to Harry Potter but I'm

1:46 learning quickly and I must say that one

1:50 of my favorite if not my favorite theme

1:56 opened currently at Universal Studios

2:32 and that's what I want to talk about

2:33 today in today's Vlog is the fact that

2:37 my love for movies is based in the 1980s

2:41 simply by this t-shirt you can tell that

2:45 Future I love John Hughes movies like

2:49 The Breakfast Club 16 Candles all of

2:51 those old types of movies and a movie I

2:54 want to bring up today and talk about

2:56 today is called Pee-wee's Big big

3:00 adventure peewee's big adventure is one

3:02 of my all-time favorite movies ever when

3:07 it comes to my two favorite movies that

3:09 I watched when I was younger peewee's

3:11 big adventure and Back to the Future

3:13 Back to the Future being number one but

3:15 peewee's big adventure was a very close

3:18 second now there are probably let's be

3:20 honest probably about 10 movies that

3:23 defined my childhood and my love for

3:26 films of the80s but those two hold a

3:30 special place in my heart and that is

3:32 the topic of this Vlog that is what I

3:33 want to talk about today oh look at this

3:36 little helicopter flying

3:45 over I want to talk about my crazy brain

3:45 the way my mind works and the way I not

3:50 intentionally but

3:52 subconsciously try to push away new

3:57 things especially in the form of movies

4:00 Star Wars the Force awakens came out I

4:03 was not a huge fan a lot of people

4:05 disagree with me on this and the reason

4:08 is is not because I did not care for the

4:10 movie itself so much but because it was

4:13 not the original and I have this weird

4:16 mindset that I'm trying to get rid of

4:19 where I'm trying to stop pushing away

4:23 rebuking things from my childhood that

4:27 are being revamped and this today is no

4:31 exception because today maybe even last

4:33 night within the last day or so PeeWee

4:35 Herman Paul Rubin one of the greatest

4:39 people from my

4:40 childhood has put out a new movie I

4:43 believe the name of the movie is pee's

4:46 big holiday now I could be incorrect in

4:49 that but I think holiday is in there

4:50 somewhere I have not done my research on

4:52 this and the reason for that is because

4:54 there is a small portion of me that does

4:56 not even want to see the movie and

4:58 that's what I want to ask you should I

5:00 see the new PeeWee Herman movie I me if

5:07 you were to pull the entire population

5:09 of the planet Earth I would say I am

5:12 probably in the top 10 to

5:14 20 people ever who could call themselves

5:19 the biggest peewee's big adventure fan I

5:23 loved peewee's playhouse but there was

5:26 something about peewee's big adventure

5:29 that resonated with me my love for it

5:32 Tim Burton's very first feature F length

5:36 film brought PeeWee Herman into the

5:40 super stardom status in fact I express

5:44 my love for that film by doing the

5:46 filming locations over on the Adam the

5:48 woo Channel just look up peewee's big

5:51 adventure filming locations and I did a

5:53 very detailed search all around Southern

5:56 California took me a couple days Justin

5:58 scar went with me helped me out we did

6:00 this a few years ago I love that movie

6:04 The Following movie came out big top

6:07 peeeee I must confess I did not like big

6:11 top peewee at all there were a couple

6:14 things that were kind of funny in it but

6:16 as a whole it did not really sum up

6:19 peewee's character and it just didn't

6:21 really make a whole lot of sense as the

6:24 sequel if you will to peewee's Big

6:26 Adventure so now let's jump forward a

6:29 couple decades to this new movie that is

6:31 on Netflix now and I want to ask you

6:34 should I watch peewee's big holiday is

6:39 that something I should watch if you

6:41 have seen it and you are of the old

6:44 school persuasion and mindset like I am

7:27 very weird when you grow up but your

7:29 mind stays your passions stay back to

7:32 when you were 11 12 13 years old and

7:36 then you see something that is trying to

7:38 rekindle your Youth and sometimes it

7:40 just doesn't have the same feel it

7:42 doesn't have the same effect on you and

7:45 then other times you wish you had never

7:48 even delved into the new subject matter

7:51 cuz it kind of bums you out let's say

7:53 seeing a remake or a rehash of one of

7:56 your favorite films or maybe even seeing

7:58 a band that you grew up loving maybe

8:01 back in the 70s or the 80s or the '90s

8:03 and then seeing them perform in

8:06 2016 and you had never seen them live

8:09 you had only heard them on record or you

8:11 heard them on CD or you had seen YouTube

8:14 videos of them performing live back in

8:15 their Heyday and then you watch them

8:18 perform in the current day and you think

8:21 I kind of wish I would have never gone

8:24 to that concert gone to that

8:27 movie is it better to stay your mindset

8:31 stay in the past and embrace new things

8:34 that are current today or is it good to

8:38 support the past and try to bring that

8:41 forward that's what I'm asking I love

8:43 PeeWee Herman I love Paul rumans in fact

8:45 when I did the filming locations of

8:47 peewee's big adventure he commented on

8:50 the video and gave a whole thread on the

8:54 video on Facebook Peewee Herman's

8:57 Facebook which has a gazillion like a

8:59 million followers commented on my video

9:02 on social media saying that I did a heck

9:04 of a job hunting down all the spots that

9:07 it brought back a lot of memories for

9:09 him and that made me super happy because

9:11 I love PeeWee Herman I love the the

9:13 character Paul ruber Paul rubman is

9:15 playing the character of PeeWee Herman

9:17 so I want to embrace this new peeeee but

9:21 I don't want to like I don't want to

9:22 hurt my soul so that is where you come

9:25 in should I see the KNE the new the

9:28 should I see the knee you want want to

9:29 see the knee there's the knee that's the

9:31 knee there's nothing wrong with my knee

9:58 is because Universal Studios Hollywood

10:01 the cell phone signal is atrocious there

10:04 it is absolutely horrible they do have

10:07 Wi-Fi but in certain areas of the park

10:09 it's very hard to tap into that Wi-Fi

10:12 yesterday I was stressing out the whole

10:14 time how am I going to upload a vlog how

10:15 am I going to upload a vlog and since I

10:17 filmed these Vlogs unedited the day that

10:20 I upload them like this one will be

10:22 uploaded less than an hour after I film

10:24 it and since I was at Universal all day

10:26 yesterday the only option I had was to

10:28 upload the Vlog from from there it was

10:30 very stressful so my solution was to

10:33 just do a 2 or three minute Vlog cuz if

10:35 it would have been 10 or 11 minutes like

10:37 this one it would have taken me four or

10:39 five hours to upload it on the really

10:41 shoddy cell phone service that is there

10:44 that is that is one of the few very few

10:46 things that is kind of negative about

10:48 Universal Studios Hollywood everything

10:49 else is excellent the new Harry Potter

10:51 land is going to propel that theme park

10:54 into the stratosphere of popularity if

10:58 you decide to go to the wisting World of

11:00 Harry Potter in Hollywood if you live

11:01 out in California and you go just

11:04 remember it is not technically open

11:06 every day and it might not open the day

11:09 you go but from what I can tell from the

11:12 couple times I've gone the last month

11:14 and from other people who have gone it

11:16 seems like they open later in the

11:18 afternoon for about an hour or two so

11:21 try to get there later in the afternoon

11:24 keep your eyes peeled and maybe those

11:26 Gates of The Wizarding World will open

11:28 and you can stifle and get inside there

11:32 and ride ride the new ride what's the

11:34 name of the new ride does anyone know

11:35 the name of the new ride that is there

11:38 they have it in Orlando but Orlando does

11:40 not have the 3D steampunk S Type goggles

11:44 that you wear the ride's awesome I also

11:46 heard this in Orlando there's been about

11:48 10 to 12 instances of people vomiting a

11:52 little protein spill on the ride in

11:55 Orlando but here in Hollywood well

11:59 I'm in technically but up in Hollywood

12:05 50 maybe even more than that occurrences

12:09 of people getting sick on the ride

12:12 because the 3D messes with your head and

12:17 the dragon and all the crazy stuff going

12:19 on so do not eat before you get on that

12:22 ride or maybe do eat if you enjoy

12:25 spilling your lunch all over yourself I

12:28 handle it pretty well in fact yesterday

12:30 I wrode it two times in a row which was

12:32 amazing by the last part of the second

12:36 time I started to feel a little bit on

12:38 the uh queasy side not Wheezy from The

12:44 Wheezy but I felt a little queasy inside

12:48 so don't ride it twice in a row but it's

14:01 the day usually by noon or earlier on

14:05 the West Coast time that way by 345 p.m.
