0:02 today's adventure brings us to Los
0:02 Angeles California you can see the city
0:04 skyline off on the horizon and tucked
0:06 away on the corner of Highland behind
0:08 this building directly in front of me is
0:10 the Hollywood museum the starting point
0:14 of this episode if you look closely
0:18 through the middle directly through that
0:20 archway is that iconic sign the
0:23 lettering up on the side of the mountain
0:25 see it there you do not want to drink
0:28 this water it has been recirculated
0:31 octave now at this hour there is quite
0:35 the Sun glare here on the Michael J Fox
0:38 star known for a lot of endeavors TV
0:42 shows and movies but I would say most
0:45 popular most first thing they would
0:47 think of would be Marty McFly from Back
0:50 to the Future and the first of those
0:53 movies came out 35 years ago
1:01 time flies welcome everyone Adam as the
1:01 whoo here I chose to do my intro in
1:03 front of this Methodist Church because
1:06 in the gym is where they shot the
1:09 filming locations of the enchantment
1:11 under the sea dance but this is not a
1:14 location video but I was in the
1:17 neighborhood and what better way than to
1:20 do the intro here right inviting you to
1:22 join me shall you on occasions if you
1:26 get lucky enough you can meander back
1:29 there the door will be open today is not
1:31 one of those occasions good thing the
1:33 subject matter is located inside a
1:35 building that is open to the public look
1:38 at Buster up there looking all
1:39 lovey-dovey the former maxfactor
1:42 building full of artifacts recreations
1:46 and a few other things is doing a
1:49 attribute for the anniversary let's
1:52 check this out it is located up on the
1:55 third floor so you do have to climb up a
1:58 couple flights of stairs
1:59 there is also an elevator provided and
2:01 even from this angle I can already start
2:03 to see a few items through the door a
2:07 glass case this isn't the first ever
2:12 Back to the Future trilogy exhibit in
2:14 the USA so what estates there including
2:17 stuff from part 1 part 2 and part 3 lots
2:21 of pop culture goodness here some I've
2:23 never seen before including this toy
2:25 skateboard that's awesome and check out
2:27 that 4x4 in a plastic case this
2:30 shredded-wheat box comes with a pocket
2:32 adventure gamebook free inside yes some
2:35 of these buttons I actually own and have
2:37 in my possession but a couple of them
2:39 I've never seen a flux capacitor Yahtzee
2:42 game what the heck
2:44 trading cards a cafe 80s silly straw
2:48 right down there on the top of that cup
2:50 and some thermoses micro machines from
2:53 part two that's that's cool
2:55 45 record of the Johnny be good song
2:57 from that church I just showed a minute
2:59 in the middle there is a Zippo lighter
3:01 from Biff Tannen specialist casino
3:04 that's a rarity there is just so much to
3:07 look out in here including a ZZ Top
3:09 double back from part three single rice
3:13 krispies box has some Monument Valley
3:14 photos from the third and trading card
3:18 form included inside the cereal itself
3:20 Wow a scale model of the Train look at
3:23 the flying train right there that's
3:24 Doc's train don't be a bozo on a bike
3:28 glide on a hunter pool no I don't know
3:31 if there's a street use but goodness
3:32 gracious that looks very familiar from
3:35 that first scene in the first movie some
3:38 publicity stills scripts letters even
3:41 the Saturn Award Bob Gale got back in
3:44 1985 original lyrics by Huey Lewis -
3:47 power of love with that's his hand
3:49 that's his hand work Andy pan riding
3:51 having trouble talking he wrote the
3:53 first two scripts on at our
3:54 constellation typewriter back in 1981
3:57 four years before it came out
3:59 handwritten index cards here on this
4:01 cork board just to simulate and show the
4:04 process of in the series of events that
4:06 transpire I'm really loving this exhibit
4:09 so far there's already a lot more than I
4:11 had expected this state's original time
4:13 circuit from the DeLorean from the
4:15 sequel right there on the shelf and it
4:18 sits next to the original mr. fusion
4:20 prop screen-used that he had converted
4:22 into a lamp that sits on his desk
4:24 publicity still of Eric Stoltz playing
4:27 Marty
4:27 of course replaced by Michael J Fox
4:29 daily production reports I mean they are
4:33 reprints that just to see them just to
4:36 see them in the flesh is pretty cool
4:37 pretty dang cool even a very detailed
4:39 time account there with the actors and
4:41 actresses on when they did their scenes
4:44 this one is an original prop the foam
4:47 version of the pit bull some concept
4:49 artwork signed by John Bell down there
4:51 at the bottom different versions of the
4:54 futuristic hoverboards if they did not
4:55 use this DeLorean you're seeing is
4:58 replicas not screen-used however the
5:00 outfits were alright I stand corrected
5:02 the one in the middle is a replica but
5:04 the one on either ends are the real deal
5:06 and you can see how the papers change
5:09 from youth jail to gang jailed I was
5:12 framed
5:13 both the George McFly papers and the
5:16 blank one in the middle to look on Doc's
5:18 face says it all he's very excited to be
5:20 wearing that cold gold robe again in
5:23 fact Christopher Lloyd signed this very
5:25 one oh there we go you see the clock
5:26 tower back there kind of draped down
5:28 behind the 4x4 and Griff the police
5:31 officer and Marty all right this is the
5:35 screen-used actual part three DeLorean
5:38 in the Old West right in front of me on
5:42 loan from the private collector who has
5:44 it in their possession
5:45 that is a true movie relic and around
5:47 the back side of it are the director's
5:50 chair from director's chairs plural from
5:53 the sequels and a jacket dated 1990 and
5:57 there's Monument Valley all prominent
5:59 looking I'm not seeing any sort of
6:01 signage but those might be the original
6:04 saloon doors I hope they are an overview
6:07 of Hill Valley from the olden days back
6:10 when it was still called show Nash
6:11 ravine later to become Clayton ravine
6:14 depending on what timeline and version
6:16 you're you were you were in located on
6:19 the floor are some 1885 newspapers also
6:24 strain used now this has screen match
6:26 but we have Marty and Clara's outfits
6:29 here it is a neat looking belt buckle
6:31 that is one area I wouldn't want a
6:33 woman's shoe kicking me that's for sure
6:36 I am spending a lot of time in here just
6:38 kind of looking at the nooks and
6:39 crannies and the details
6:42 not to see oh yeah the gun belt right
6:46 there a world premiere ticket and the
6:48 frisbee pie and just above those items
6:51 is Clara's telescope's a real deal it's
6:54 so good handwritten original crop the
6:57 Western Union letter a plutonium
7:00 cylinder one of the pages from one of
7:03 the pages from the phone book and
7:06 circles did you know the prop master
7:08 misspelled the name Emmett the edema
7:11 disappearing photos in that original
7:14 envelope and 1985 clock that can be seen
7:18 in the opening sequence 1985 right over
7:20 there five old Biff canes were created
7:23 here is the top to one of them next to
7:27 the walkie talkies is this photo I've
7:29 never seen of the Chapel of love yeah
7:31 that's a new one to me sleep-inducing
7:33 alpha rhythm generator original prop
7:37 Griff's bath the one that extended he
7:39 had hidden behind his back right there
7:41 that's the one and it sits next to a
7:44 replica two guitar there on their right
7:46 I don't think this money is good in this
7:48 day and age I'll think he could cash it
7:50 probably confuse a lot of people with
7:51 you attempted to deucey
7:53 this prop still includes some of the
7:56 Pepsi perfect they're just kind of
7:57 festering in the bottom of it you have
8:00 to look closely we can see how it's
8:01 stained the bottom of the plastic tubing
8:03 it is tough to get a good angle of this
8:05 just because of the smudges and the
8:07 glare on the casing around it all the
8:09 bells and whistles they're placed on the
8:11 hood strap down on the hood so do they
8:13 really make wild gunman for NES kind of
8:17 get a good view of the the expansiveness
8:19 of this from across the counters here
8:21 and looking at it from this angle it
8:23 kind of stretches all the way down to
8:24 the superheroes down there ooh la la
8:28 this mini mate has Jennifer Parker not
8:31 marty next to the next to the car that's
8:34 different looking at it from the side
8:36 view perspective
8:38 can't go wrong with the old-school style
8:41 board either or is it either look out
8:45 for Huey Lewis on this 45 picture disk
8:48 there was a sweepstakes to win one of
8:50 the toyota dream trucks the entry form
8:52 sweepstake form still still plastered to
8:56 the side this video store VHS
8:58 promotional cardboard display is
9:01 something that is tough to find don't
9:03 see those don't see those every day a
9:04 custom die set next to the books the
9:07 books are there in the middle but to the
9:08 right of it is a custom die set equipped
9:12 with a cup to toss them around before
9:14 digital downloads and CDs there were
9:17 cassette tapes different versions of the
9:20 flux capacitor original drawings by Bob
9:22 Gale back in 84 these promotional clocks
9:25 this one on the right looks like a
9:26 paperweight synchronize your watches
9:28 President Ronald Reagan used the name of
9:31 the movie in one of his speeches
9:32 that's how pop-culture iconic the film
9:35 is and was a draft of the script open to
9:39 the page where it says waitress which we
9:40 know in reality after the film came out
9:43 it's not a waitress at all that says I
9:45 can't give you a tab unless you order
9:48 something and with that I think I'm
9:49 gonna head on out of the building I'm
9:52 gonna take the stairs at the exit
9:55 maxfactor has their own star and there
9:57 is the large signage for the exhibit
10:00 definitely worth a stop in and a visit
10:03 if you're into that trilogy which I am
10:06 so if you are do it I have now
10:10 progressed over to Burbank and even
10:13 though this has a time machine
10:15 stamped license plate it does not have
10:19 all the bells and whistles on it it's
10:21 just a normal DeLorean and here at the
10:24 Marriott Convention Center something
10:27 called The Hollywood Show
10:51 salient I'm gonna shake your hand that's
