0:12 welcome everyone Adam the woo here
0:12 starting off today in a little town
0:14 called Marshall Missouri and I'm wearing
0:16 my Missouri t-shirt there's something
0:20 really
0:21 interesting that I want to show you here
0:23 you're going to love it it's my second
0:25 channel daily Vlog Channel and a lot of
0:27 other things as I progress down the open
0:31 road it's the daily
0:33 woo hope this isn't very
0:39 hot
0:39 hot that was hot it's not very often you
0:42 show up to a small town whose most
0:45 popular
0:46 resident is a dog in fact his name was
0:52 Jim the wonderdog Jim the wonderdog
0:55 could understand English for example a
0:58 lady would say let's go over and rest a
1:00 bit by that hickory tree although in the
1:03 woods of numerous trees Jim the Wonder
1:05 doog went to the hickory tree this was
1:08 the start of amazing things the dog did
1:10 on command he could also go locate a car
1:13 by make color and the license plate
1:16 number oh Jim the wonder doog where did
1:19 you get those Powers it's a pretty cool
1:22 story and they have dedicated this
1:23 entire Garden to gym right here in the
1:26 beautiful downtown area wonder do
1:30 what is the secret of your
1:39 power here's where he's laid to rest Jim
1:39 the wonderdog born on March 10th
1:42 1925 died on March 18th 1937 and as The
1:46 Story Goes the dog could even predict
1:48 the future the owner had to keep him
1:50 very close by because people tried to
1:52 steal him for profitable gain in fact he
1:55 turned down a lot of offers from
1:57 companies wanting to buy the dog and to
1:59 this day the office says it is the most
2:00 visited grave out here at this entire
2:03 Cemetery isn't it ironic don't you
2:09 think there's a lot of corn out here
2:12 just look at this corn as far as the eye
2:16 can see I'm not even kidding I am smack
2:18 dab in the middle of corn country look
2:23 at all this corn now I'm going to do
2:25 something really corny and take the
2:28 quadcopter drone up in the air so you
2:30 can see the sheer magnitude of the
2:33 acreage of all this corn it's not cheesy
2:37 because for it to be cheesy they would
2:38 have to be stocks of cheese and we all
2:41 know they do not grow cheese on stocks
2:45 here in the
2:47 Midwest what am I talking
2:49 about so awesome are you ready to get
2:54 back on the road see what I did there
3:09 look at all these old tractors up there
3:09 on the side of the Hill must have been
3:11 an old like mechanic shop at one time
3:14 just a whole line of tractors and I love
3:17 these old vintage signs check that
3:24 out
3:27 yes I love these old school Bridges
3:29 these metal Bridges look at
3:32 this yes according to this sign General
3:37 Sterling price has a
3:39 statue right down there yeah there it
3:44 is and by now you should probably know
3:48 which direction I'm heading just
3:49 cruising
3:50 along enjoying the scenery no one's
3:54 behind me honking telling me to hurry up
3:57 there's no one out here well except this
4:00 guy except him right
4:03 there I don't think he has a horn there
4:06 it is the water
4:07 tower welcoming me to Marceline Missouri
4:12 the childhood home of one of my biggest
4:14 Inspirations Mr Walt Disney Walt grew up
4:17 here in this town and spent the
4:19 formidable creative years of his life
4:23 thinking of ideas and broadening his
4:26 imagination in fact right up here is
4:29 what is Con considered the original Main
4:31 Street USA if you've been to Disneyland
4:33 or Walt Disney World and you walk in the
4:35 park and as you're walking in you see
4:37 what looks to be like an old timey Town
4:40 it was based on what Walt remembered
4:42 here in
4:43 marcelain this is it the original Main
4:47 Street
4:48 USA so
4:51 cool if you insert Sleeping Beauty
4:53 castle at the
4:55 end I'd feel just like I was at
4:58 Disneyland Coke corner
5:01 anyone if you've never been to Marceline
5:03 make sure you go to City Hall and get
5:05 that first visit button I'm just kidding
5:07 they don't have those but I think it's
5:08 something they should incorporate here
5:09 in
5:11 town I love how they have the clocks
5:14 here just like they do at Disneyland and
5:16 if we were at Disneyland right now we
5:18 would be smack dab in the middle halfway
5:20 down Main Street USA Park entrance that
5:23 way castle that way and right over here
5:26 would be the lockers and the next time
5:27 you are at Disneyland head towards the
5:29 lockers look up on the right hand side
5:31 of the building there's a sign that says
5:33 Hotel Marceline as an
5:36 homage to where I'm standing right now
5:39 it's basically set up the same way two
5:41 blocks of Main Street and right here
5:43 would be the partner statue say hello to
5:45 Walton Mickey but only in your
5:47 imagination and just like Walt wanted at
5:49 Disneyland if you're inside this door no
5:51 alcohol is allowed if you're a fan of
5:54 Walt Disney the man as well as
5:55 Disneyland or Walt Disney World I
5:57 encourage you to make the pilgrimage
5:59 here to Marceline now if you're just a
6:01 casual Disney fan you probably will not
6:03 find Marceline enjoyable but if you like
6:06 delving into the history of the man Walt
6:10 Disney you need to come out here I've
6:12 been here four times and I'm really
6:14 excited about this visit because there's
6:16 a museum here that is always closed
6:19 every time I've been here in the past
6:21 and today it's open
6:45 and there's a photo of Walt and a lot of
6:45 the Town folk in front of that movie
6:48 theater right downtown Marceline wow
6:50 look at this old paper from 1938 in the
6:53 article about when Walt's mother was
6:57 killed and they have a little display
6:58 here dedicated ated to a certain theme
7:01 park in Anaheim
7:03 California you may have heard of it and
7:07 look at this they have models of
7:12 Disneyland look at that there's the
7:14 train
7:15 station there's City Hall over there
7:18 Main Street
7:20 USA the castle the
7:24 Matterhorn small world oh my gosh look
7:27 at this Peter Pan's flight snow
7:36 white man this is making me miss
7:36 Anaheim pretty badly Roy and Edna our
7:39 mayor and his wife he would give anybody
7:42 an autograph that wanted one very
7:45 patient if you were lucky enough to get
7:47 one you've got a good piece of property
7:49 and the one on the other side flew over
7:51 his apartment over the fire station sure
7:56 did so um that you know we realized how
7:59 valuable they were and they're very
8:01 fragile by now so we of course frame
8:03 them is original
8:10 vietopia he called and he said you know
8:10 I've been back to Marceline enough to
8:12 know that bour is a long way from
8:15 California and I'd like for your kids to
8:17 have a ride and uh I can tell you it was
8:20 a big success people came from
8:22 everywhere to ride in a Disney ride
8:37 I just got done with the tour inside the
8:37 museum that was one of the most
8:39 informative and emotional tours I've
8:42 ever done the woman's name was inz and
8:44 her husband was friends with Walt and
8:47 Roy here in Marceline when they came
8:50 back for the dedication of the pool and
8:53 autopia which is a smaller
8:55 version of the Disneyland ride
8:56 autopia she had a lot of heartfelt
8:59 stories and it was a oneon-one tour
9:02 there was no one else in it was just me
9:03 and
9:04 her that was awesome ah look at this
9:09 that old sign Disney complex sign is
9:13 that Goofy and even this sign the
9:15 original sign is still there there was a
9:18 picture in the museum back there of Walt
9:21 standing right in front of
9:22 that that is so cool and here's the old
9:25 pool that is no longer operational
9:29 that was dedicated to Walt himself and
9:32 Walt showed up here for the grand
9:35 opening of it and rumor is they're in
9:38 the process of tearing it out you can
9:42 even see they have the construction
9:43 vehicles
9:45 ready very very soon this will be
9:48 nothing more than a memory
10:08 now don't quote me on this but this area
10:08 here where all the rubble is right there
10:11 I think this is where the autopia
10:13 was next to the pool and you can
10:17 see it's all gone as well goodbye Walt
10:20 Disney
10:21 pool I'm sure you brought a lot of
10:23 Happiness to a lot of people now
10:26 cruising back down Main Street we're
10:28 going to go on on the outskirts of
10:31 town and check out the barn there's the
10:34 Disney home right there and they have a
10:37 little sign up there the Disney family
10:39 moved into this home in
10:47 1906 the son of the Dreaming Tree which
10:47 is a replacement for the original
10:49 Dreaming Tree which used to be right
10:52 over there behind that wooden fence is
10:55 really starting to progress nicely it
10:58 was made from the seedlings of the tree
11:02 that Walt as a child used to sit under
11:05 and dream and hence he called it the
11:07 Dreaming Tree and you cannot pass
11:09 through Marceline without stopping off
11:12 at Waltz Barn a recreation of what he
11:15 remembered as a child the barn that used
11:17 to be on his family's property
11:47 place in fact a few times ago when I
11:47 came through
11:49 Marceline I wrote my name on one of
11:52 these banisters I just can't remember
11:55 where I wrote it there are so many
11:57 signatures signed on here
12:00 you think I would remember but I'm
12:01 having a hard time finding it amongst
12:04 all these other ones there it is right
12:14 there pretty much the second 2x4 from
12:14 the front wall near this door so if you
12:18 make it out to
12:25 Marceline there's my name there are
12:25 countless signatures drawings and names
12:29 games some very very heartfelt and
12:34 passionate
12:35 whoa and a wasp nest here you leave
12:38 today and enter the world of yesterday
12:41 tomorrow and wait a
12:43 second look who else was here I got to
12:46 add on to this
13:19 some places are always worth revisiting
13:19 I always like stopping off here because
13:21 it reminds me that everyone has pivotal
13:23 points and places in their life that
13:25 they use for inspiration certain areas
13:28 certain ideas certain places that change
13:31 your thought process and boost your
13:34 creativity and that's what Marceline
13:36 does for me because that is the place
13:38 that Walt really started to imagine and
13:41 started to create and started to think
13:43 about what he was going to do later in
13:46 his life so you got to love Marceline
13:49 you got to find your own personal
13:51 Marceline
14:07 I got some of these I love these so much
14:07 but they never put enough of the ride
14:08 chips in them so I got its own separate
14:10 bags and then I mix the
14:22 two what's going on
14:22 guys Hannibal
14:25 Missouri I got to check this out doc
14:42 Huck was sure the dead cat would cheer
14:42 warts because old mother Hopkins had
14:44 told him this everyone knew she was a
14:47 witch Tom now had his chance to capture
14:49 the heart of Becky but she was not going
14:52 to make it easy for him
15:03 after the cannon went off Tom went back
15:03 to leave a message for Aunt Polly he
15:05 knew she would think the boys were
15:14 dead thanks for joining me today in this
15:14 Vlog in the adventures that I went on
15:16 and for tagging along
