0:03 today's adventure i will be walking in
0:05 and around the orange circle
0:08 because one of my favorite eating
0:10 establishments
0:12 has reopened rutabagas
0:16 and orange is back now i was doing my
0:19 food series a few months ago
0:21 i wanted to add that in but times were
0:25 a little different but now progress is
0:28 happening
0:29 get myself a meal a side note i will be
0:32 approaching in about six or seven days a
0:34 week from now
0:35 i will do a full video at the 50 day
0:38 mark of my weight loss what i have been
0:42 doing
0:43 and give you an update so stay tuned for

0:47 i'm gonna head down see what's going on
0:50 down the circle inviting you to join me
0:53 shall you currently there is no indoor

1:03 goes the oc bus and the bike shop where
1:03 i purchased
1:06 my bicycle no indoor dining
1:09 is allowed at the moment so it's
1:11 everything has been
1:13 changed a little bit to outdoor seating
1:14 i'll be going from this point
1:16 all the way down this road
1:20 and then past the fountain and about the
1:22 same distance on the
1:23 road on the opposite side of the middle
1:26 section
1:27 to get where i'm going but you can see
1:28 they have a lot of shade up and tables
1:30 out here
1:31 now i have been down here when there
1:32 were you know special occasions when
1:34 they were having
1:35 different festivals and whatnot but this
1:38 is
1:39 this is just a standard day this
1:41 gentleman here wearing the appropriate
1:43 town t-shirt is waiting to get into the
1:45 store and there's a banner stretch
1:46 across there that says restaurants and
1:48 retail
1:49 open for business oh dang i'm gonna have
1:51 to come back and
1:52 and try this there is a hot pot place
1:55 gonna be
1:56 gonna be popping up here i can recall
1:58 when this blaze pizza here on the corner
2:00 used to be
2:01 a radio shack and you can see over there
2:03 by that starbucks and that deli and
2:05 that diner that they have kind of
2:08 extended out the sidewalk just a little
2:09 bit
2:10 for more seating right over there is the
2:13 fountain
2:14 and the circle first high this is really
2:17 nice
2:23 a little inconvenient for for traffic
2:23 but you know for everyone else it's
2:25 it's nice when it comes to being able to
2:28 support local businesses get some food
2:32 and enjoy the day and many a times i
2:35 have sat on the grass
2:36 not being able to find a seat your bird
2:39 just flew by me
2:44 now i'll be able to get a table there's
2:44 a lot of motorcycles over there
2:46 steady flow of vehicles there passing by
2:48 watson's on that end which is also
2:50 following suit with the umbrellas and
2:52 picnic tables they've given this a name
2:56 the orange plaza paseo
3:00 outdoor dining and retail you see it
3:03 right there in the middle of the banner
3:04 and more or less every eatery is
3:07 accounted for when it comes when it
3:08 comes to tables
3:09 don't have to worry about you know a car
3:11 or truck or
3:12 anything coming up behind you i always
3:15 like to show
3:18 the store over here tidally winks was
3:21 using
3:21 that thing you do it was the appliance
3:24 store
3:24 filming location alert here are some of
3:27 the
3:28 regulations one through five and this
3:31 states no
3:32 outside food but if you purchase food
3:34 inside they will bring it outside so
3:36 it's kind of a it's kind of a
3:38 neat little twist on that rule mr c's
3:40 the record store
3:41 is not open i haven't seen this open for
3:43 a couple months honestly
3:44 the mascot has his facial covering on
3:47 there
3:48 he's also behind this glass so should be
3:50 good to go slowly but surely i am
3:52 getting to
3:53 my destination it's going to be past the
3:57 the little concrete barricades down
3:59 there another block or stuff there is a
4:01 milk and smoothie place
4:02 next to torpedo comics that also has
4:05 some table set up
4:06 and the pie hole has placed some some
4:08 plants some foliage out there
4:11 as well i like this on the marquee dawn
4:13 comes after darkness
4:15 hey i've reached the end of the the kind
4:17 of stanchioned off area but extending
4:19 about another block to where i gotta go
4:20 and you know what it looks as if this
4:22 phil's has had their opening there are
4:24 people in this new coffee shop
4:26 that used to be a gas station you know
4:28 my first thought was to get takeout from
4:29 here eat at those other tables but i
4:31 don't even know if that's allowed
4:32 it is located in this this old school
4:35 style house it's actually a home that
4:36 they've converted into a restaurant i
4:38 love it
4:39 there is a peak of the salad item i got
4:42 i got some plastic cutlery now usually
4:45 you can eat inside they do have outdoor
4:48 seating
4:48 but kind of wanted to eat near near the
4:51 fountain in the circle see if i could
4:52 find somewhere down there to
4:55 kind of camp out and chow down on this
4:57 and just inquired as i passed back back
4:59 by
4:59 phil's coffee the grand opening is
5:01 august 13th
5:02 not yet but soon heading back this way
5:05 see what i can find as far as a place to
5:07 sit and eat
5:08 just as i assumed you know some of these
5:10 tables are
5:11 for specific customers i guess what i
5:14 was saying a little bit ago i might have
5:16 to find a place in the grass there by
5:18 the fountain
5:19 oh we're getting a little behind the
5:20 scenes here this gentleman cleaning out
5:22 the fountain with this little
5:23 little net there there's also a
5:25 possibility that maybe
5:27 over there there is a table with my name
5:29 on it
5:30 but most likely not they yeah it seems
5:33 like that's kind of the same scenario
5:37 as well a lot of these are in this
5:39 direct sun
5:40 now there is one over here that has a
5:43 little shade to it
5:45 this might be my only option right here
5:48 or i could just go back
5:50 to my house which that would work too
5:54 it in my mind i thought that all the
5:56 tables were going to be just basically
5:57 public
5:58 public access for anyone that is down
6:01 here
6:02 frequenting and supporting anything at
6:04 the circle but it is a business by
6:06 business setup which now that i think
6:08 about it makes a lot of sense
6:10 as i continue checking all these as well
6:12 they all have little
6:13 reserved for stickers on them i have one
6:16 other idea
6:17 too for this i'll go down to hart park
6:19 which is a couple blocks that way and
6:21 see if i can find a table
6:24 oh this is good this is real good
6:39 here's my spot and this
6:39 is what we're dealing with there are
6:41 there are a few
6:42 are just a couple ants here scurrying
6:45 around a couple bottles of water
6:48 as well i had intended to
6:55 to chow down on this in the circle
6:55 but it wasn't meant to be now i could
6:57 have eaten
6:59 at rutabagas which i have many many
7:01 times
7:02 but never really filmed an episode and
7:05 they had music playing so it's hard to
7:07 work around music so it's easier just to
7:08 have a nice peaceful area
7:11 like at a park all right
7:16 i didn't know what was happening with
7:17 that that lid there i thought i didn't
7:19 realize it was it was attached cobb
7:23 salad i asked for a paper menu just so i
7:26 could show
7:27 exactly all the items they had this is
7:30 the salad
7:31 well one of the pages of the salad
7:33 section what i got was
7:36 12.95
7:38 see it right there it's called the
7:40 bigger cobb lettuce chicken
7:42 assorted veggies baby corn egg avocado
7:45 blue cheese
7:48 yeah when i was younger i always thought
7:50 blue cheese was spelled blue
7:53 b-l-u-e but it's b-l-e-u
7:57 it's not because it's not the color blue
8:01 at least i don't think it is and
8:03 mediterranean dressing
8:05 okay they gave me italian dressing i
8:07 guess mediterranean is another option
8:09 celebrating 50 years established in 1970
8:13 not just salads they have a wide
8:17 variety of items you can just see the
8:21 this menu is double-sided
8:25 one two three three full pages double
8:28 sided
8:30 so there is plenty to choose from when
8:33 going there
8:34 i've never had anything that i've just
8:36 liked
8:37 from this menu and i've had i've had
8:38 quite a bit over the years
8:41 i'm gonna go too heavy on the dressing
8:44 i'll use maybe half the container of the
8:46 dressing
8:48 that's good enough i'll leave the other
8:49 half in here i want to overdo it
8:52 and drench it too much
8:56 oh yes that
8:59 looks like a whoop
9:02 gotta kind of get the eggs around in
9:05 they're all slice the tomatoes
9:09 get that blue cheese
9:12 back in there circulating
9:20 yeah this is a lot this is a lot of
9:20 salad
9:21 i feel like it's been a while since we
9:22 had a little little sit down
9:24 talk
9:38 oh yeah what was that i just had that
9:38 was good
9:40 i think that was the blue blue cheese
9:47 some onions on here that's not an onion
9:47 that's an egg that was a
9:49 piece of an onion but it's a slice of
9:51 the egg
9:53 i no longer do everyday videos i did
9:56 five years
9:58 five years and two months to be exact

10:01 and 11 days but i quit that
10:05 gosh it's been a couple years now but
10:07 every so often i will do a series that
10:09 kind of runs a long a long course
10:13 i've been going for two or three months
10:15 maybe even longer now
10:16 do it daily maybe maybe not longer but
10:18 two or three months
10:20 and i haven't missed a day and every day
10:21 when i wake up
10:23 also i never stockpile footage so i'll
10:27 never go somewhere and film two videos
10:29 in one day or three videos in one day
10:32 anything of that nature everything is
10:33 always the day
10:35 of film during the day edit in the
10:37 evening
10:39 upload the next morning and then get up
10:41 and it's almost like a
10:43 24 hour challenge if you will
10:46 so sometimes i'll wake up in the morning
10:48 and say what am i doing why am i
10:51 why am i going back to doing this every
10:53 day when i promised myself i would not
10:54 do that and i just cannot
10:57 this current time frame i just cannot
10:59 take a day off
11:05 i don't know why i just keep i will mark
11:05 my words
11:06 i will skip a day coming up soon but i
11:08 don't know when that day
11:09 will be but just i just get into a
11:13 routine
11:14 life is about habits losing weight is a
11:18 habit what you're eating
11:20 is a habit putting content out there
11:23 filming documenting things being
11:26 creative
11:26 a lot of that is a habit mindset mindset
11:30 mind set it's also a habit
11:35 add in the fact that times are a little
11:37 peculiar unusual
11:39 different not the norm
11:47 and you can get really discouraged
11:47 you can get really
11:54 you can get down sometimes if you're not
11:54 being creative if you're not doing what
11:56 you
11:58 what you enjoy so i feel that
12:01 it helps me to when i wake up
12:09 go out find something to do find
12:09 something to share
12:10 find something for me to see and for
12:13 others who live vicariously through me
12:15 to also say so there's that aspect of
12:19 why i haven't really been just sitting
12:21 around and staying
12:22 staying active staying busy did the
12:25 florida trip
12:31 which was when i first thought about
12:32 doing it
12:32 i was a little hesitant but i'm glad i
12:34 did it
12:36 i don't even know if i'm going to be
12:37 able to finish this whole thing
12:39 i'll power through it
12:47 i haven't had a burger i haven't had
12:47 pizza
12:48 well i take that back i did have a
12:50 couple slices of pizza
12:52 when i was staying at the contemporary
12:54 my parents came to visit me
12:56 we went to dinner up top at california
12:58 grill and i had
12:59 a couple slices of pizza that night
13:03 but other than that i want to give too
13:04 much away because on day 50
13:06 i'm going to do a weigh-in i'm going to
13:08 share everything i've been doing so no
13:09 spoilers
13:10 but i've been eating been eating really
13:13 well
13:14 feeling really good my birthday's coming
13:16 up on august 10th
13:18 i'll be 46 years old what am i going to
13:21 do on that day
13:23 i honestly don't know i will either
13:28 barricade myself in my home
13:31 take the day off relax but knowing
13:35 the way my mind works i will probably go
13:38 somewhere
13:39 i'll probably i'm just going back and
13:43 forth which is pretty much
13:44 par for the course with everything i do
13:53 i'm not big on celebrating big groups of
13:53 people
13:53 on my birthday my big on parties
13:57 i always really keep to myself now in
13:59 the past
14:01 i think the last few years
14:08 i've gone to disneyland and
14:08 went on dumbo and did the circle around
14:11 dumbo
14:13 as wacky as that sounds that was kind of
14:16 my birthday tradition
14:17 i'm not gonna be able to do that this
14:18 year i'm not gonna go back to florida
14:19 and ride down boat
14:20 at walt disney world i already did the
14:22 disney world trip
14:24 so i had to have to find something else
14:26 but i really
14:27 i always keep to myself so whatever i
14:30 choose to do
14:32 it'll most likely just be me
14:37 who knows but it's just one of those
14:39 days that
14:57 i do a lot of reflecting
14:59 i stand out in my yard with tin foil on
15:02 and have the sun reflect off of me
15:04 glad i found this spot that worked out
15:08 the parking area here it's also
15:12 a canal for water almost like a
15:16 a flood zone saw this some rapids coming
15:20 through here once during a heavy rain
15:22 you wouldn't think it by looking at it
15:24 currently but
15:27 when it storms which is rare this thing
15:30 fills up with water and it's moving very
15:32 quickly
15:33 down this incline that's going to do it
15:36 for today
