1:13 Award I think I mentioned that a minute

1:15 ago but I was actually bewildered and

1:17 Confused not only by the oneway sign but

1:20 also that chair that's so weird that

1:23 there's a chair teetering did I say it's

1:26 the daily woo it's the daily teetering

1:29 chair chair why did someone launch a

1:32 chair right there I got get out of the

1:34 road there's people driving up you see

1:36 how there's Vehicles driving up here

1:37 it's 2014 but back in

1:40 1932 there wasn't a lot of cars like

1:43 that there were actually horsedrawn

1:45 carriages and Laurel and Hardy a basic a

1:48 huge comic genius team of their time and

1:52 still very well recognize as comic

1:55 Geniuses together they were combined

1:57 when you think of Laurel you always

1:58 think of Hardy when you think of Hardy

2:00 you always think of Laurel and this was

2:02 one of their favorite spots in fact they

2:05 did another film that's actually been

2:06 lost in existence it does not exist

2:09 anymore there's only some still

2:10 photographs and they filmed that five

2:12 years before their Academy award-winning

2:15 film which was filmed right down there

2:18 at the music box steps you can actually

2:21 watch their film The Music Box they were

2:23 actually moving a piano right down this

2:25 road and right towards these fantastic

2:28 legendary hidden

2:30 steps in Los Angeles California did you

2:33 know that they filmed some of the Laurel

2:35 and Hardy episodes and this was actually

2:37 Laurel and Hardy's favorite area in fact

2:40 right over here is Laurel and Hardy Park

2:44 really it's not really a park though

2:45 it's basically just an area a grassy

2:48 area where people walk their dogs and

2:50 dogs defecate right there on there they

2:53 have lots of signs about picking up your

2:55 dog's defecation because you don't want

2:57 to leave defecation in Laurel and Hardy

2:59 part they do not want to deal with

3:02 defecation defecation is a great word

3:05 you could just say pooping but it's a

3:06 lot easier to say defecation because it

3:08 makes a lot more sense and a lot it's a

3:09 lot funnier and since this is a funny

3:12 Vlog about Laurel and Hardy we're just

3:13 going to say defecation repeatedly I

3:16 parked my van right there that's my

3:19 van right up there is actually Sunset

3:22 Boulevard the famous Sunset Boulevard of

3:24 Los Angeles you just Veer off onto that

3:27 road vinome Street and Straight Ahead

3:31 that's right straight ahead are the

3:33 world famous I don't know if they're

3:35 world famous most people probably even

3:36 know about them but now they're world

3:38 famous right here next to all this

3:39 wonderful graffiti and tagging look at

3:42 all this graffiti a lot people tag and

3:45 graffiti and spray paint here in Los

3:46 Angeles but here they are the music box

3:50 steps right there look at that the music

3:54 box steps basically in the movie Laurel

3:57 and Hardy would have pulled up their

3:58 horer carriage right here they would

4:00 have pulled the piano out and tried to

4:02 push the piano up those stairs those

4:05 exact stairs right there of course the

4:07 railing wasn't there at that time but

4:10 that building looks the same the only

4:12 difference is that wooden little gated

4:14 area has been uh created and built since

4:17 then as well as this huge conglomeration

4:20 condo apartment but in the movie those

4:23 stairs are very prominent just look at

4:25 that that's the music box stairs

4:32 in fact there's a couple scenes when

4:32 there the camera angle is looking down

4:34 the stairs you can actually see this

4:36 little grassy area here you can kind of

4:39 see that little curb and the grassy area

4:42 when they're looking down from the

4:44 stairs in fact when they're pushing the

4:47 piano up this you can actually see that

4:50 great right there as well as they've

4:53 added s them they've actually added this

4:55 look at this this is like a little

4:57 placard stand l and Oliver Hardy The

5:01 Music Box

5:03 1932 that's them right there look that's

5:14 them that is really cool so basically

5:14 the premise of the movie is they pulled

5:16 up here they pulled the piano out they

5:19 tried to drag it and push it straight up

5:21 that staircase all the way up to a house

5:24 that's at the top of course that's an

5:25 imaginary house there actually is not a

5:28 house at the very top there's houses on

5:29 on both sides but all the way at the top

5:32 like in the movie they actually use

5:33 another location all the way at the tip

5:36 top of that it's very very

5:39 steep this is the music box steps in

5:42 fact you can see that little window in

5:43 some of the

5:44 shots that's really cool this all still

5:47 looks exactly the same of course this

5:50 over here is all new but this here the

5:52 stairway has been here for decades and

5:55 decades and decades and decades a famous

5:58 location a famous comedy location from a

6:01 famous comedy

6:08 duo that is

6:08 cool they got about halfway to the top

6:11 and a police officer was walking by and

6:13 summoned them saying come back down here

6:15 so there's a lot of scenes where they

6:17 kept coming up and down the stairway

6:19 looking

6:20 downward looking upward

6:39 so there you have it the famous music

6:39 box steps here in Los Angeles California

8:08 Academy Award goodness happened right

8:11 here and that great can be seen in it

8:14 when he's pushing up right up the stairs

8:17 he's pushing the piano up the stairs

8:20 whoa

8:27 whoa remember I was saying police

8:27 officers were summoning in Laurel and

8:29 already back down the staircase I

8:31 thought that police officer was going to

8:32 summon me over to his vehicle and we

8:35 were going to recreate the scenes from

8:37 the famous music box steps happening

8:40 right

8:41 here there you go Laurel and Hardy park

8:45 there that was a really loud siren I'm

8:48 going to get you a wide shot real

8:50 quick wide shot here we go wide shot

9:08 it looks pretty much exactly like it

9:08 does in the movie except the short film

9:11 I shouldn't say it's not really a movie

9:13 it's a short film movie it looks exactly

9:18 has been created right here that

9:25 new so basically that's the original
