A Rainy Day At Disneyland Paris - Fantasyland Dark Rides & Inside Nautilus Sub / Walt’s Restaurant
Disneyland Paris July 2025
Transcript
0:02
Welcome everyone. Adam the Woo here as
0:02
the recording of this Monday, July 7th,
0:05
2025. About ready to pop back over to
0:07
Disneyland Paris. Today's going to be
0:10
more of a nonride day. I just want to
0:12
soak in the experience, walk around, see
0:15
some things I did not see the first day,
0:17
and also I have booked a reservation to
0:19
eat at Waltz Restaurant on Main Street.
0:23
So, I'm going to do that in a couple
0:24
hours and just see where the rest of the
0:26
day leads. inviting you to join me for a
0:28
casual day at Disneyland Paris. The
0:31
first day I was here, it was so
0:33
overwhelming. Did a lot of attractions,
0:35
a lot of rides. I kind of want to see
0:37
the nooks and crannies today. Join me,
0:40
shall you? It is a little overcast and
0:42
rainy. I'm going sand's umbrella.
0:47
No umbrella, no poncho. Just kind of
0:50
rolling with the punches. Going to grab
0:52
a coffee at Starbucks. Again, there is
0:55
no Starbucks in the park. There is no
0:56
Starbucks on Main Street USA, which is
0:59
kind of a tradition when I tradition
1:00
when I go to Disney parks to get a
1:02
Starbucks on Main Street, but there is
1:04
not one here. The only one is at Disney
1:07
Village, their version of Downtown
1:09
Disney, Disney Springs. So, I'm going to
1:11
grab coffee from there and then stroll
1:14
through, see what I can find. Evidently,
1:17
the first day I was here, I didn't
1:19
realize there's all so many little
1:20
hidden gems that are tucked away in the
1:23
park. And that's kind of what I'm
1:25
looking for. I'm going to do a lot of
1:26
little walkthroughs, little cubby holes,
1:30
little nestles of goodness. That's the
1:32
goal today. That's the goal. All right.
1:34
Running directly parallel to Main Street
1:37
is the arcade
1:39
thoroughare. Look at this. Runs directly
1:42
parallel alongside Main Street. So you
1:44
can get out of the elements, get out of
1:46
the crowds, and just go the same route
1:48
as Main Street. It's just off to the
1:49
side next to the Emporium. This is
1:53
really awesome in here, right there's
1:56
the Statue of Liberty over there.
2:00
All these little displays. This is This
2:03
is a really well done little
2:05
thoroughare. They have this some of the
2:08
other parks. They have this at Magic
2:09
Kingdom. And it's basically just
2:11
unthemed and made to avoid parade
2:13
traffic. This is a million times better.
2:16
Way, way more entertaining and enjoyable
2:19
to stroll through, for sure. This entire
2:22
section is about Lady Liberty herself in
2:25
New York. Statue of Liberty. Fact. Looks
2:28
like there's even a little walk through
2:30
over here that you can go underneath the
2:32
curtains and behold the wonder of
2:35
liberty.
2:36
Dedication cere ceremony October 28th
2:39
1886 the sculpture of the liberty and a
2:44
gift from France to America feast
2:46
fanfare and fireworks the copper and
2:49
iron col copper and iron colossus.
2:55
Oh, what is this? Wait a second. Oh,
3:00
what the heck? Wow. This is something
3:03
very unique and incredible. What an
3:05
homage to the Statue of Liberty that's
3:08
right up there. This little walkway
3:10
through here. You got a little
3:11
plexiglass in here, but you got some
3:13
sculptures there, some wax figures, and
3:15
you have Lady Liberty herself right
3:18
inside this little walkway in. Wow.
3:23
Okay.
3:24
All right. That is uh that is good. I I
3:28
approve of that. That is that is a
3:30
really cool little exhibit. That is
3:34
That was really cool.
3:37
Was not expecting that.
3:40
Producing the first lady of New York
3:42
right there. 100 tons of copper
3:46
sk 100 tons of copper skin on an iron
3:49
skeleton. This is the best avoiding Main
3:53
Street during crowd section I've ever
3:55
seen.
3:57
Disneyland, they do it occasionally when
4:00
it's really busy. Magic Kingdom, they do
4:02
it more often when it's busy. This is
4:05
the way to do it. All through there are
4:07
little walkway in the little entrances
4:09
into the emporium stores. Like here's
4:11
Disney and Company, Main Street. So it's
4:14
almost like a secondary Main Street, the
4:17
arcade version of the Main Street
4:21
Chamber of Commerce.
4:23
I like it.
4:25
I like it. There are nods to Walt and
4:28
Lillian everywhere inside these stores.
4:31
I mean, everywhere you look, there's
4:33
photos of Walt and Lillian. I love that.
4:35
Kind of a nice segue into what I'm going
4:37
to be doing is I'm going to be going to
4:39
a restaurant that is made in honor of
4:42
Walt Disney himself very shortly.
4:44
Particular gift shop on the other side
4:45
of Main Street is called Main Street
4:47
Motors. You can see Kruella up there
4:49
looking out at everyone. It's a classic
4:52
car alert. This entire store is geared
4:56
around older automobiles. Like look
4:58
right up here. There's one right there
5:00
with a bunch of bags on it.
5:06
Crawling through one of the doors into
5:06
the boardwalk candy palace where they
5:09
have this really neat display right here
5:11
with these little hot air balloons going
5:13
up and down with the caramel, the nuts,
5:17
and other things and the little baskets
5:19
there. America's playground. Atlantic
5:23
City. Oh, 1892 by the seaside. There you
5:25
go. A little Jersey. Little Jersey nod.
5:30
Very interesting. Candy fililled
5:33
pillars. Look at this right here. These
5:35
nice delicious treats up here lining the
5:37
lining the pillars here in the candy
5:39
store. There's something I have never
5:40
seen in the US parks here. It's like a
5:43
It's like a stick full of little treats
5:45
there. Look at that. Looks pretty tasty.
5:52
It's not just that one side of the
5:52
arcade. The other side of Main Street
5:55
also has a separate arcade hallway as
5:59
well. Different different theming. Now,
6:01
Statue of Liberty over here. The price
6:03
of a haircut back in the day. 50 cents,
6:06
40 cents, a dollar, dollar 50 cents for
6:09
ladies, 20 cents and 15 cents for boys,
6:11
45 cents for misses. The thing I like
6:14
about this too is all these little
6:16
sections off of Main Street are no dead
6:18
ends. You come off Main Street, you take
6:20
you go off to one of the little side
6:21
entrances and then you just dump into
6:23
these. So really everywhere you go off
6:26
of Main Street leads to something. It's
6:28
not like you have to go in here, turn
6:30
around and go back out to Main Street.
6:32
Like for example, this leads right out
6:34
back out to Main Street USA right over
6:36
there. And just look how cute this is
6:38
like through here. The Main Street
6:40
Marketplace. You just come in this way.
6:42
You turn in and then you're you're in
6:44
the the arcade. One of the two separate
6:47
parallel to Main Street arcade indoor
6:50
streets at the Jersey bathing suits
6:52
right here being promoted. I'll have a
6:54
nice clear view here with nobody in well
6:56
hardly anybody in this little area right
6:58
now. Nation's capital, Washington DC
7:01
right here. New York right here. This is
7:02
almost like a steampunk version of what
7:04
they thought New York was going to be.
7:06
The future of the greatest city in the
7:08
world. That was their prediction of what
7:10
the future of New York was. The future
7:12
of Sanford. Very, very, very
7:14
steampunkish. I might go on a couple of
7:16
attractions. I definitely have not done
7:18
the train yet. So, I might try to do the
7:19
the train today. But look how it still
7:21
says Euro Disneyland and not Disneyland
7:23
Paris, the original name of this park.
7:25
And while on the topic of steampunk,
7:28
steampunk
7:30
theming over into Discovery Land. They
7:33
don't call it Tomorrowland here. They
7:35
call it Discovery Land.
7:44
Even got a little quote over here by
7:44
Jules Vern right there. Look at that
7:47
little Jules Vern quote. Right there
7:49
amongst the flags. I'm going to go
7:51
through the Nautilus while I'm over in
7:52
this section. Saw this the other day and
7:54
didn't realize or didn't grasp the
7:57
concept or just didn't focus on
8:00
understanding that it is a walkthrough.
8:03
I can go inside the Nautilus.
8:08
I can live my own 20,000 leagues under
8:11
the sea right now at the mystery of the
8:15
Nautilus. Yes, evidently this is a
8:18
walkthrough attraction.
8:24
Hey, how you guys doing?
8:24
This is a thing of beauty. Here's all
8:27
the specifications on it. Captain Nemo's
8:30
cabin right there. The forward ballast
8:34
right over there. the the steam plant in
8:37
the back where the fuel goes. Here's the
8:40
length. 70 m, 8 m wide, made out of
8:43
steel plates, power sources,
8:45
electricity. It can go to 6,950
8:49
fathoms and a speed of 50 knots.
8:56
I'm going to go let me go let me go on
8:57
this side. Let's see what this is all
8:58
about over here. Evidently, you walk in
9:01
this
9:03
little lighthouse up there and then you
9:05
go down into it. That's so cool.
9:09
Check it out.
9:12
It has been raining and continually
9:13
sprinkling off and on. So, they have the
9:16
wet floor signs everywhere.
9:19
I think I walk completely under the
9:22
water. You got some jewels right over in
9:24
here. Gold jewels blooms, silver, things
9:28
like that. And then you just continue on
9:31
walking through the Nautilus itself. The
9:34
chamber the chamber of Captain Nebo.
9:39
Oh, this is good.
9:42
I did not even realize this was a thing.
9:47
I rode the 20,000 leagues under the sea
9:49
submarines in Florida way before they
9:51
got rid of all that whole area. Now it
9:53
is the mine train, the seven dwarfs mine
9:57
train attraction, but that was a lot
10:00
different than walking through the
10:01
Nautilus. You sat in it. They still have
10:02
the subs at Disneyland. It's the Finding
10:06
Nemo attraction has been overlaid as
10:08
that, which is still kind of neat to go
10:09
on the subs, but in no way is it 20,000
10:11
leagues under the sea. But this might
10:15
this might topple everything. This might
10:17
be better than all those. I mean, you
10:19
can walk right through the actual
10:22
Nautilus here
10:24
into his quarters. There's his kitchen
10:26
over or his sink over there, his
10:29
bathroom.
10:31
He's got his books right here.
10:48
This is topnotch.
10:48
This is theming done right. This is
10:51
good. This is real good. The sounds, the
10:53
creaky. It feels like I'm under the
10:55
water. The water is above me making the
10:58
the pressure is making the submarine
11:00
creek.
11:10
I wonder what's up there. Must be the
11:10
lookout for it.
11:14
Oh, okay. There it is.
11:17
There's a lagoon there in the middle.
11:28
Like a steel door right here that would
11:28
lead to the outside. If you were to open
11:30
that, the water would probably rush in.
11:32
I don't know if this thing's swaying,
11:34
but it feels like there's like a little
11:35
bit of sway to this. Almost like it's on
11:38
some sort of like hydraulics.
11:40
You know how when you're doing Rise of
11:42
Resistance, if anyone's gone on Rise of
11:44
the Resistance in Florida or in
11:46
California, when you're walking through
11:49
the queue is kind of like you can feel
11:51
your body isn't completely steady. I'm
11:53
getting that getting that sensation
11:55
through there.
11:57
Could just be in my mind though.
12:22
Some sort of a performance or a show or
12:22
something going on over here. Oh, and
12:24
there's his organ.
12:25
There's his organ.
12:33
This is freaking so unbelievably good.
12:33
Look at this thing right here.
12:37
Oh, okay. They This is open now.
12:39
And the big humpback of that.
12:41
Oh, it's a humpback.
12:42
I It must be 30 tons or more.
12:44
It's a whale.
12:45
Oh, it's a whale. Black whale in there.
12:53
Look at that thing swimming around in
12:55
there. Way under the sea right now.
13:00
That was really That was a cool thing.
13:02
Now the the the eye for is closing. Now
13:04
you can't see out into the water
13:05
anymore.
13:07
That was neat.
13:10
You know what this is making me realize
13:12
I need to do while I'm here? Swiss
13:15
Family Robinson tree
13:24
cuz it's kind of giving me those kind of
13:24
vibes in a way. I'm going to see. I got
13:26
to see how if they have I think they
13:28
have a specific family. They think they
13:29
have a treehouse here. Okay, that was
13:31
that was really good. That was so good.
13:38
It's like a real life 20,000 leagues out
13:38
of the sea. That is that was really
13:41
neat. There's the launch up there going
13:44
into Space Mountain, which is now
13:46
hyperspace. I did that the other day.
13:49
Okay, this that was good. Got to be
13:52
honest, it's probably been five maybe 10
13:54
years since I've watched Disney's 20,000
13:56
leagues under the sea. I might have to
13:58
might have to throw it on tonight in in
14:00
my hotel Disney Plus on and give it a
14:02
give it a whirl again.
14:08
That was cool. That was really really
14:08
awesome. All right, I'm now going to
14:10
It's time for my allotted time frame to
14:12
go into Waltz Restaurant right on Main
14:15
Street, USA. Weather's getting pretty
14:17
nasty out here, so it's probably a good
14:18
thing I'm going in to eat at Walts. And
14:21
I'm expecting a fullon homage to the man
14:25
himself,
14:27
the man, the myth, the legend, Mr. Walt
14:31
Disney. I am so stoked to be able to be
14:33
going in here to eat. inside. Now you
14:36
got baby Walt right here and his mom
14:39
Flora and his father Elias
14:43
right up here. This is a really cool
14:45
looking place. This picture was taken in
14:47
LA. Kind of hard to see because of the
14:49
glare, but that's the famous photo
14:52
of him and Nicki. Here we go. We got his
14:54
original Magic Kingdom Disneyland with
14:56
his dad who I just showed the photo
14:58
Elias main street window there standing
15:01
below the main street window. Here's the
15:04
original Disney Studios. There's his
15:06
brother Roy and himself. Right. Here's
15:08
Walt Disneyland as well. About 10
15:10
minutes they said they'll be called me
15:12
to my table. Over here is Lillian's
15:14
Boutique right down over in this area.
15:17
Is this the original Chicago home?
15:19
Maybe. No, that's not where he was born.
15:21
Maybe that may be the Chicago home. To
15:23
be honest, I'm not 100% sure. There's
15:26
his parents, Flora and Elias. Elevator
15:29
here, or lift as they call them in
15:31
France. very decorative with the stained
15:33
glass up there. And then also you got
15:35
the WD logo right there. The
15:39
Where is it? There you go. Yeah, the WD
15:41
logo is kind of in there, I think. All
15:43
right, it is my time. They called my
15:46
number. It is my time to head up the
15:49
stairs.
15:52
There's him and Shirley Temple right
15:55
there. Here's him in the model of the
15:58
Mark Twain. Here's him in Donald Duck.
16:01
Here's opening day. Almost 70 years
16:04
coming up very, very soon. I have this
16:07
dangling from a tapestry in the corridor
16:10
of goons at my house in Celebration,
16:12
Florida. Love me some Walt. Love me some
16:15
Disney history.
16:18
Look at him. Here's some on the Omni
16:19
Boss.
16:21
Yeah, this is really,
16:23
really
16:25
awesome up here.
16:29
Love all the photos through here.
16:32
Very cool. Look at the little telescope
16:35
there on the side of the window and all
16:36
the menus.
16:38
Pinocchio. I like this door. Pinocchio
16:40
artwork up here.
16:46
Take a look at the menu here. Walt an
16:48
American restaurant. Chicago, Illinois.
16:51
There's the man himself.
16:53
See what all the kind of stuff they got.
16:55
kind of wondering if they're going to
16:56
have the Walt's chili in here. It's like
16:59
his thing. It's like he order like a
17:01
whole thing. Starter, main course, and
17:03
dessert.
17:04
We got Shirley Temple and Walt right
17:06
there. Here's him in the military in
17:08
France. And of course, Walt Disney
17:10
Studios, the well, the Hyperion Studios,
17:12
I should say. They have a Shirley Temple
17:14
drink. And in fact, they do. They have
17:16
mocktails. There was sweet Main Street
17:18
mocktail and Shirley Temple mocktail
17:20
right there for €13. Cocktail was
17:22
created in 1930s. It's a tribute to
17:24
Shirley Temple, the Hollywood star. You
17:26
know, I got to get one of these. Take
17:27
home the souvenir Waltz restaurant pen.
17:29
Limited edition right here. A couple
17:31
different ones. What if I have to What
17:33
if I could buy one of each? Okay, for
17:35
the €55, you get starters, you get main
17:39
courses and desserts. Okay, I'm I'm
17:40
going to do that for €55. They have a
17:42
chili conc carne. I wouldn't know if
17:44
classify that as Waltz chili, but it
17:46
does say this deconstructed version
17:49
comes from a can of chili, which was
17:50
another Walt's favorite. Walt's firm
17:53
favorites.
18:01
What a very enjoyable experience.
18:01
The food was really good. You had the
18:04
the starters and then you had the entree
18:07
and then you had the dessert. There was
18:09
a few different options you could get.
18:11
Everything I chose tasted so good. I
18:13
mean, every the flavor was really good,
18:15
the experience, the ambiance, the vibe
18:17
of the place was really good as well.
18:20
and a lot of unique uh you know Walt
18:23
type stuff around the second floor of
18:26
the on Main Street. There's even areas
18:28
that you can overlook out of Main
18:30
Street. I ended up getting that pin, the
18:33
collector's pin. There's a few different
18:34
ones, three different ones. There's
18:37
there's for three different ones
18:39
throughout the course of the year. The
18:40
summery one is the one that I chose
18:42
since it's summer now here in Paris. So,
18:45
ended up grabbing that one. But I really
18:47
cannot say how much I really really
18:50
loved the Walts restaurant. I just love
18:53
the the honoring of Walt Disney.
18:55
Without, you know, without him, none of
18:57
this would have existed. Disneyland,
18:58
Walt Disney World, then eventually
19:00
Disneyland Paris. He started it all, you
19:03
know, with the
19:05
animation and Mickey Mouse and Snow
19:07
White. Everyone told him Snow White
19:09
would not be successful. Snow White was
19:10
successful. Everyone told him Disneyland
19:12
would not be successful. Disneyland was
19:14
successful. another empire he has
19:16
created just really really really
19:19
fantastic. So it was really cool to eat
19:21
on Main Street at Walt's restaurant and
19:24
have some chili and a Shirley Temple. He
19:27
fact I like the Shirley Temple so much I
19:29
had two of them which is a mocktail.
19:31
Kind of neat to have a Shirley Temple in
19:33
Walts.
19:35
And then I ended up getting that I ended
19:36
up getting the the pin. It's I figured
19:39
it was definitely kind of a super
19:40
collectible thing that you wouldn't
19:42
really get unless you were here. So all
19:44
our dreams can come true if we have the
19:46
courage to pursue them. Said Walt Disney
19:49
quoted. This is the summer pin from Walt
19:51
Disney or from Walt's restaurant
19:55
Chicago, Illinois, which is where he was
19:57
born. An American restaurant. Loved it.
20:00
Loved it. Loved it a lot. Now I'm going
20:02
to go up in the in the treehouse. Swiss
20:03
Family Office in Treehouse. This is a
20:06
This is a cool thing though, right? Oh,
20:08
look at this. It looks like there's only
20:09
a limited edition of 5,000 of these.
20:12
Nice.
20:17
Adventureland
20:17
treehouse I think is right around this
20:21
corner. Oh, I can kind of see it through
20:23
there. Yeah, right there. I think that's
20:24
the treehouse right there. And as I'm
20:25
looking at their treehouse, take a look
20:27
at these gargantuan fish down below
20:29
here. Look at those things. They're like
20:33
they're kind of swimming upstream sort
20:35
of kind of. They're just staying in the
20:37
same place. So just they're just
20:38
relaxing right here at the base entrance
20:41
to Adventure Land and Swiss Family
20:44
Robinson Treehouse.
20:48
Of course, the Swiss Family Robinson
20:50
treehouse at Magic Kingdom is still
20:52
there. There is a inspired by Swiss
20:55
Family Robinson treehouse at Disneyland.
20:56
They just redid it. They changed it back
20:58
from Tarzan's treehouse. It's not
21:00
technically Swiss Family Robinson
21:02
Treehouse at Disneyland in Anaheim, but
21:05
it's inspired by They're just taking
21:08
little little tidbits of Swiss Family
21:11
Robinson and putting it in the
21:13
treehouse. They don't want to call it
21:14
the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse.
21:16
They just want to call it inspired.
21:18
This, I believe, is Swiss Family
21:20
Robinson treehouse, just like Magic
21:21
Kingdom in Florida. All right, there is
21:23
a cave here at their Swiss Family. I'm
21:26
going outside of a cave. A Swiss Family
21:28
Robinson. Look at this. I'm into the
21:29
darkness of a cave. Okay, it appears as
21:32
if I'm underneath the root system of the
21:34
tree itself,
21:36
which is a really interesting idea,
21:39
unique idea. I think you can walk out
21:41
all the different sides,
21:43
but this is like the root system of the
21:45
tree. Uh, it's raining now, so might at
21:49
some point have to buy an umbrella. I
21:51
like to have a This is kind of neat. You
21:52
have the caves, but then you also have a
21:54
waterfall here. That's different. I like
21:57
that.
21:58
I like the waterfall aspect here that
22:00
they've added.
22:02
La Cababana de Robinson. Swiss Family
22:06
Robinson. Am I pronouncing that right?
22:09
La Cababany. La Cababany de Robinson.
22:12
The cabana. So file this under the third
22:16
treehouse. Swiss Family Robinson
22:18
treehouse I've been on in my life other
22:20
two US Disney parks. And this is the
22:22
third one I recently rewatched. trying
22:24
to talk about how I haven't watched
22:27
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea in about 5
22:29
or 10 years, but I have watched Swiss
22:32
Family Robinson a couple years ago. I
22:34
rewatched it.
22:36
So, it's kind of fresh in my mind. It's
22:38
relatively fresh in my mind. I think I
22:40
rewatched it right before the Disneyland
22:42
one reopened was the rethe when they
22:44
wanted back from Tarzan, the one out in
22:46
Anaheim. I think I rewatched it then
22:48
before the reopening of that when I went
22:50
up in there. So, it's good to see that
22:52
supposed is back at Disneyland. at
22:54
Anaheim and they're still here in Paris
22:56
and they're still holding strong at Walt
22:58
Disney World
23:00
over in over on the east coast in
23:02
Florida as well. So, three Swiss Family
23:05
Robinsones tree houses. I have been up
23:08
inside. So, knocked this one off. One of
23:10
Walt's Walt era's projects.
23:14
So, good to good to see the treehouse.
23:17
It's kind of a wall day in a lot of
23:18
ways. Kind of kind of a wall day in a
23:20
lot of a lot of ways today. It's kind of
23:22
kind of
23:24
It's kind of morphing that direction
23:26
being about wall. Kind of wish they had
23:29
jungle cruise here though. They don't
23:30
have jungle cruise here. At least as far
23:32
as I know. There's I have to check the
23:33
map. I don't think there's jungle cruise
23:34
here. Oh, wait a second. I haven't been
23:36
on Pinocchio yet. That's a Walt era dark
23:39
ride. I didn't go on this the other day.
23:40
So, I should probably do this and see
23:41
how this differs from Anaheim's version.
23:43
Recently rewatch this classic a few
23:46
months ago. Man, it is a messed up film.
23:49
I always heard the rumor too that
23:50
Lillian hated Pinocchio. the Pinocchio
23:53
movie, Walt's version of Pinocchio. She
23:56
she wasn't in care for it. I don't know
23:57
if that's hearsay or not, but always
23:58
heard that. There's been countless times
24:00
in Anaheim. I've shown this little
24:02
window. When you look out of it, you can
24:04
see the Matter Horn. Obviously, no
24:07
Matter Horn here, though. That's funny.
24:10
They have the same exact window, though.
24:11
Just no Matter Horn view. Holy cow,
24:14
there are a crap ton of people in here.
24:17
This queue is way bigger inside. There's
24:19
like hundreds of people in here. I am
24:21
really having a hard time understanding
24:23
how the heck this Q system works. It is
24:27
I don't understand how they're loading
24:28
here. This is different. This is a crazy
24:31
long line for Pinocchio. I've still got
24:34
to go this way and then cut back and do
24:35
all the double backs. Go through this
24:37
little strong of people right here. It
24:40
looks like it's a looks like it's a
24:42
six-seater car and not a four. I think
24:46
it's a six-seater
24:48
drive vehicle. Getting there slowly but
24:49
surely. Everyone everyone kind of gets
24:51
right over there into that little
24:52
section and fills up with three rows
24:55
with six seats.
24:58
But it is different how how it's set up.
25:00
So this whole middle section is empty.
25:02
Thought they were queuing people here.
25:04
But you go around loop here. You wait
25:05
here and then they push you over there
25:08
in the turn style. The thing that
25:09
confused me when I couldn't see this, I
25:11
thought they were loading here. That's
25:12
what was threw me off. I'm going to be
25:14
in row number three. Look at this. A
25:16
three row sixseater. That is so
25:20
That is different. That is definitely
25:22
different. I'm in the back row on a
25:23
three-seater. I did not expect to be
25:25
waiting almost an hour. Let's call it 45
25:27
minutes waiting for Pinocchio because
25:29
usually on a slow day out in Anaheim,
25:31
it's a walk-on. You know, it's like
25:32
maybe 5 10 minutes tops. On a busy day,
25:35
maybe the longest I've ever waited is a
25:37
half hour. If you're waiting on a for
25:39
Pinocchio in Anaheim for more than a
25:40
half hour, you know that it's like a
25:42
completely at capacity day, like a
25:44
soldout day where all the annual
25:46
passholder reservations are completely
25:47
booked up and it's some kind of a
25:49
special event like an anniversary or
25:50
something. But here, obviously, more
25:52
demand, more people in Fantasy Land.
25:54
That's why they went from a two-seater
25:56
to a three-seater. So, you could instead
25:57
of 40 fitting up to four people, you can
25:59
fit up to three people. And I noticed
26:01
too, even though it is a carbon copy of
26:03
the version in California, it appears as
26:05
if that they kind of have like they uh
26:07
newer, it's like a newer version, so
26:08
it's a little more cleaned up, more
26:10
lighting. There was a few things that
26:11
were a little bit different, but even
26:13
the ride track seemed seemed as if it
26:15
was very very similar. But I enjoyed it.
26:17
I'm glad I glad I did it. At least now I
26:19
can say I know what the one here at
26:20
Disneyland Paris is in comparison to the
26:22
original one at Walt's original Magic
26:24
Kingdom in Anaheim. Although after
26:26
waiting that long, I'm kind of afraid to
26:27
even see what the line is for Snow
26:29
White. Kind of hoping they still have
26:31
Snow White Scary Adventures instead of
26:33
the Enchanted Wish. They did away with
26:35
the scary version out in California. I
26:37
missed the scary version, so maybe they
26:39
have it here. So, I'll drop in line for
26:40
that next. Oh, yeah. They're still
26:42
referring referring to it as scary
26:45
adventures. Board a mine cart. Travel
26:48
through the scary adventures.
26:50
Snow White. I think the curtains draw
26:54
back there, too. Wicked Queens up there.
27:01
notice from a distance though, but I
27:01
think she is definitely a bigger indoor
27:03
queue here as well. Look at this. It's
27:05
like eight eight or nine rows of people
27:07
instead of the three. Downpouring out
27:09
there now. No one's getting out of line,
27:10
though. I got under the cover here just
27:13
in time. Does appear to be moving a
27:16
little bit quicker than Pinocchio. The
27:18
It seems to be lo The vehicles are
27:20
getting loaded a little faster when it's
27:22
over here where this little cellar is.
27:23
This is in a different spot as well.
27:26
This is when you're already a couple
27:27
rows into the line. It's like tucked
27:29
away in a different little area right
27:31
over here than it is what I'm used to
27:35
in other places. Take a look at the
27:37
poison apple right there. Has like a
27:39
little little evil face in it.
27:42
Little little skull face in the poison
27:44
apple. It's kind of a nice touch. And
27:47
there's a little skeleton right up
27:48
there, too. Skeleton up on the side of
27:50
the little mantel mantel piece right
27:53
there.
27:55
Six six people can fit on these, too.
27:57
three row three row
28:01
three row ride vehicles instead of two.
28:03
Yeah, I really like that version. It was
28:06
like uh kind of how it used to be out in
28:08
Anaheim before they changed it. And
28:10
seeing it again really makes me realize
28:12
how much more that I like the Scary
28:15
Adventures version more than I like the
28:18
Enchanted Wish. I mean, it's like 10
28:19
times better. And this one just seems so
28:22
bright and like elegant and cleaned up
28:24
inside even more than the version I
28:26
remember. out on the west coast of
28:28
California. It just seems like they had
28:30
a little more lighting in there with the
28:32
black lights and the like the way the
28:33
things were glimmering and everything.
28:35
It was kind of a It was also an area I
28:37
don't really recall from the original
28:38
ride with the with the mine mine area
28:41
was a little more a little more jewels
28:43
and things, but man, the the the scary
28:45
forest, the nighttime scary forest was
28:47
like really good. Really really good.
28:51
Yeah. Yeah. I thought that was that was
28:54
great. Everyone's kind of
28:56
kind of filed over here because or not
28:59
kind of filed but
29:01
everyone was like crammed at the
29:03
entrance because no one wants to like
29:04
get out of the get out of the dryness
29:07
and into the into the rain. But all I
29:09
have to do is just run over well not run
29:11
but all I have to do is just walk very
29:14
carefully and brisfully over to the
29:17
castle. I am able to go inside the
29:19
castle here and I can get out of the
29:20
elements and hopefully it'll stop
29:22
raining after a little while. It's weird
29:24
to see this huge castle here. Yeah.
29:25
Getting back getting out of here
29:28
or staying out of the staying out of the
29:30
rain is going to be difficult cuz it's
29:32
it's pouring outside now.
29:34
Yeah, I think I I think I feel pretty
29:36
good about today. I feel feel pretty
29:38
good about today. So weird that there's
29:39
no partner statue here. It's It's over
29:41
at the other park. It's over at the
29:42
other park, not here. I knew just where
29:44
to head into the arcade area. This is
29:47
the Casey's here. Let me just pop in
29:49
here and see what kind of baseball stuff
29:50
they have. Casey's all the Casey's
29:53
Corner baseball stuff through here.
29:55
Whoever wants to know the heart and mind
29:58
of America, they better learn baseball.
30:05
Love that.
30:05
The hexophone right here. Got all this
30:08
baseball memorabilia. The nation's game.
30:11
Three outs and one run right up there.
30:13
All kind of baseball stuff. Pennants, a
30:15
New Hampshire pennant, some old baseball
30:17
cards. Saturday Evening Coast, CocaCola,
30:22
classic stuff. Even that picture of Babe
30:24
Ruth up there.
30:26
There's a lot of really good stuff in
30:28
here. That's the old Boston Braves
30:31
mirror right there. And I thought about
30:32
going on the railroad when I was walking
30:34
out and I saw the wait time for the
30:36
railroad. That's the Eureka.
30:39
60 minutes.
30:42
60 minute wait time. an hour wait time
30:46
to ride on the Disneyland Paris Railway.
30:50
Wow. Maybe they only have one train that
30:52
does the Grand Circle and not countless
30:55
trains. That's That's a long time to
30:58
wait. I think I'm going to take a stroll
31:00
out. The rain has subsided. Start
31:02
heading back down through Disney Village
31:03
and then back over to my hotel and call
31:06
it a day at some point. Survive without
31:08
a poncho, without an umbrella. Going to
31:11
the exit. Few
31:14
takeaways
31:16
of being here at Disneyland Paris. A lot
31:18
of people smoke.
31:22
Thought
31:22
that was thunder, but it's just
31:23
whatever's underneath here.
31:28
Pretty much wherever you go, you will
31:28
smell cigarettes,
31:30
which I went and used the restroom
31:32
facilities, and sometimes restrooms have
31:34
a, you know, a restroom bathroom odor,
31:36
obviously for what people are doing
31:37
their business. Didn't smell any of that
31:40
in the bathroom because people were
31:42
smoking in there. Really been enjoying
31:44
my trip here. I was going to leave
31:46
originally I was going to leave today. I
31:48
was going to fly out today
31:51
and I extended my trip a little bit. So,
31:54
not leaving today. I feel like
31:56
originally I was going to do one day at
31:59
Disneyland Paris and then one day over
32:00
at the Walt Disney Studios
32:04
Park and I thought I needed another day,
32:08
maybe a couple days to just do other
32:10
stuff
32:12
to, you know, see some things I didn't
32:14
get to see the first time. First day was
32:16
so overwhelming that first day and I
32:18
wanted to eat at the Walts restaurant.
32:21
So I stuck around. I'm sticking around.
32:24
Not for long.
32:26
for a little, but I'm sticking around. I
32:28
didn't leave today, but that was the
32:30
original plan. And I extended the hotel
32:33
and change changed my eventual departing
32:36
flight. Well, that's going to do it for
32:38
today. Man, I had a good time today,
32:41
too. Seeing a lot of Walt stuff, seeing
32:44
the two walkthroughs that run parallel
32:46
to Main Street USA, the arcades they
32:49
call them, on either side.
32:52
Really, Disneyland Paris is just really
32:54
great. They really took a lot of things
32:57
that the original park didn't either
33:00
have space for or they just didn't when
33:03
they originally built it, they weren't
33:05
expecting the crowds, things like that.
33:08
And they've accommodated for those here.
33:12
Again, the first day I was here, I kind
33:14
of stated that it reminds me of Walt's
33:17
original Magic Kingdom of Disneyland
33:19
Anaheim with Elbow Room. Well, that's
33:23
going to do it for today. Also, but it's
33:24
also very busy. Fantasy Land was busy
33:28
today. Probably because it's summer. I
33:31
should probably come back in the offse
33:32
if they who knows if they have an
33:34
offseason. Probably be easier to walk on
33:36
some of the dark rides. But,
33:37
nonetheless, thanks for watching. I'll
33:39
see you in the next video. The vlog is
33:41
over.
