0:02 Welcome everyone. Adam the Woo here.
0:02 Driving vlog. It's been a while since
0:04 we've been in our van. My van. And
0:07 vicariously, it's your van. So, I guess
0:10 it would be our van. No milk will ever
0:14 be our milk. Does anyone know what movie
0:17 quote that was
0:19 from?
0:20 Vicarious goodness. Vicariousness. You
0:24 hear me use that word quite a lot
0:25 because I like to invite you guys into
0:27 my life on what I'm doing. The purpose
0:30 of these vlogs every day, the daily woo
0:32 vlog is whatever I'm doing, I would like
0:35 you to share that moment with me. I
0:38 should do the intro. It's my second
0:39 channel, daily vlog channel. It's the
0:41 daily woo driving vlog edition around
0:45 the orange circle and out of the orange
0:47 circle into the nether regions of Orange
0:50 County, California. Chapman University,
0:52 I believe that's the university that's
0:54 right over here. I'm not really sure. I
0:57 think that is Chapman University, which
0:58 I did a vlog the other day, part of the
1:01 Berlin Wall. Yes, it is Chapman
1:03 University over here to my right hand
1:04 side. Orange circle behind us. And now
1:07 we're heading this direction. I'm not
1:08 sure if it's north, south, east, or west
1:11 because my compass currently is broken.
1:15 So, I want to talk about a subject
1:17 today about bringing you guys into my
1:22 life, sharing my
1:25 adventures with you. And I guess the
1:27 topic of this vlog will be called you
1:30 can't please
1:32 everyone. And I'm going to say that over
1:35 and over and over throughout the vlog.
1:36 You can't please everyone. And what does
1:40 that mean? This the title s should seem
1:42 pretty
1:43 self-explanatory. When I started doing
1:45 videos about four years ago, I was in
1:47 Florida, stayed in Florida for about a
1:49 year. Then I traveled cross country for
1:51 a few years, sleeping in the back of
1:54 this exact van in the freezing cold in
1:57 Walmart parking lots with security
1:59 knocking on the window saying, "Get
2:01 lost." No one was really watching my
2:03 videos. But over time, those videos
2:06 started to actually bring people in and
2:09 get me a lot of
2:10 subscribers as well as doing cross
2:13 country videos. I also did a lot of
2:15 theme park videos. As a lot of you guys
2:18 know in Florida, Walt Disney World and I
2:20 have a little bit of a history that
2:22 hopefully one day will be
2:25 rectified. And because of that, I got a
2:28 lot of people watching my videos. In
2:29 fact, some of you guys that are watching
2:31 these vlogs came from the Adam the Woo
2:33 channel, which stemmed from you guys
2:35 finding out about me because of my Walt
2:37 Disney World videos. And I've also done
2:40 a lot of videos at other theme parks
2:42 around the country, especially Dollywood
2:45 and some of the roadside attractions.
2:47 When I started the Adam the Woo channel,
2:49 my whole purpose, my
2:52 whole coining, not coining, coining a
2:55 phrase,
2:57 adventures, if you will. I never
2:59 actually titled myself anything. I'm the
3:01 A lot of people do theme park videos. A
3:03 lot of people do abandoned videos. A lot
3:06 of people do wacky roadside attractions.
3:08 I am not partial to one particular
3:10 thing. I've always loved a plethora of
3:13 different subjects and a plethora of
3:16 exciting goodness. So, for me, I didn't
3:20 never I never wanted to call my channel
3:21 a particular thing. I never wanted to
3:23 call it Adam the Disney Guy or Adam
3:26 Urban Exploring or Adam Roadside
3:28 Attractions. I never wanted to have any
3:31 of those titles in the name of my
3:33 YouTube channel. So basically it was
3:35 just called Adam the Woo, which is my
3:37 name, my quote unquote stage name, if
3:40 you will. My last name obviously is not
3:43 the Woo. Let's be honest, it's actually
3:45 my middle name as far as you know. So
3:48 that was basically my purpose. My whole
3:50 purpose was let me go out and do stuff.
3:53 I'll call them adventures because I do
3:55 not want to film videos sitting on a
3:57 couch. I do not want to sit on a couch
4:00 and watch a bunch of other people do
4:02 stuff. I would actually like to go out
4:04 in the world and experience things,
4:07 start living my life to the fullest and
4:10 putting it on the internet. I had no
4:12 clue that people were going to actually
4:14 relate to what I was doing or be
4:15 interested in what I was doing. It was
4:17 kind of like a video diary of me going
4:19 to places and doing places, doing
4:21 things. So, the theme park thing was my
4:23 first endeavor into videos. And then I
4:27 thought I should start going to
4:28 abandoned places. I'm very interested in
4:29 history and abandoned places. a lot of
4:31 abandoned stuff. So, I started doing
4:33 that. Then, I started doing the roadside
4:34 attractions. Then, I started doing movie
4:37 locations, which is a huge passion of
4:40 mine. And because I had done so many
4:41 theme park videos first and then the
4:44 abandoned videos, I blended those in.
4:47 People were used to those two subjects,
4:49 theme parks and abandoned videos. So,
4:52 when I first started doing movie
4:53 locations, a lot of people did not
4:56 understand what I was going for and
4:57 saying, "Man, I wish you would do more
4:58 theme parks. I wish you would do more
5:00 abandoned videos. And this is what I
5:03 learned. You cannot please everyone.
5:08 Now, when you have a group of 10 people
5:09 in a room and someone disagrees with
5:12 what you are doing, you can take that
5:14 one person, pull them aside, especially
5:17 if they are a close personal friend of
5:19 yours, and you can kind of explain to
5:21 them, well, I'm interested in doing
5:23 this. I wish you would see things my
5:26 way. And usually you can persuade them
5:27 into there. And that's the way I live my
5:29 life until the beautiful fantastic world
5:34 of the internet came along until there
5:36 were a certain amount of people who
5:39 started following what I did on a daily
5:41 basis. And when that happened, I learned
5:44 that it's hard to pull one person aside
5:46 and convince them and try to explain to
5:48 them exactly why you're doing something.
5:51 Because if one out of 10 people do not
5:54 understand what you're doing and you
5:57 have a massive amount of people watching
5:59 you on a daily basis, it's hard to go
6:01 through and have a personal conversation
6:03 with all these people and explain this
6:05 is what's going on in my life. This is
6:07 what is going on behind the scenes. This
6:10 is what's
6:11 happening in the areas that I do not
6:14 show to the normal general population
6:17 that I cannot show on video because some
6:20 things about my life should not be
6:22 exposed. The deep dark secrets everybody
6:27 has something in their life that they
6:29 basically try to keep private. You do
6:32 not put your social security number out
6:35 on the internet or your where your
6:38 children go to school on the internet.
6:40 Just like I do not I don't have children
6:42 obviously, but I do not post certain
6:45 things in these vlogs talk about certain
6:47 things cuz there are some things that I
6:48 like to keep and cherish in my heart
6:51 that the world does not need to know
6:53 about.
6:55 When you have 10 people and one of them
6:57 is a good friend, the one friend out of
7:00 the 10, the 10% who do not agree with,
7:02 oh man, why did you do this today? You
7:04 should have done this. You can pull them
7:06 aside and say, hey man, this is the
7:08 reason I'm doing this. This is the
7:10 reason this is happening. And you can
7:12 explain to them the reason on why they
7:15 disagree with what you are doing. And
7:17 you can say to them, the explanation
7:20 basically to them. But I've come to a
7:23 realization. The Adam the Woo channel
7:26 has crossed the threshold of 100,000
7:28 subscribers and continually growing. I
7:30 think it's at about 110
7:32 115,000 subscribers and the steamroll is
7:36 moving and all those people came from
7:38 different avenues, roadside attractions,
7:41 theme parks, abandoned places, movie
7:44 locations, everything. me getting off of
7:47 the couch and actually going out in the
7:49 world and showing stuff. Traveling
7:52 across the country, which I have not
7:54 stopped doing. I've been in Orange
7:57 County one month, been in my house one
7:59 month. I've been trying to get things
8:01 situated. The Adam the Woo channel came
8:04 first, then the Daily Woo channel came
8:06 second. The channel you're watching
8:07 right now is the Daily Woo. It's an
8:08 unedited vlog I do every morning. A lot
8:11 of YouTubers, I'm going to try to
8:13 explain myself now. A lot of YouTubers
8:15 who do daily vlogs, they edit their
8:17 videos, which I have to hand it to them.
8:19 Editing a main channel video, a vlog
8:22 channel every day is a lot of work. And
8:24 I have to hand it and commend all the
8:27 YouTubers out there who have been doing
8:29 it for years. An an edited vlog where
8:31 they take what them and their family do
8:34 on an everyday basis and edit it down
8:36 and then upload it. But they don't
8:37 upload it the day they're doing it. They
8:39 upload it the next day. For example, if
8:42 a YouTuber edits their video down,
8:45 normally they upload it the next day.
8:47 So, if it's Christmas, their Christmas
8:49 video will be on December 26th. Their
8:51 Easter video will be the day after
8:53 Easter. If it's their birthday, they're
8:54 going to upload their birthday vlog the
8:57 next day. I wanted to take it to a
8:59 different level, a more vicarious level,
9:01 if you will, and actually put out a
9:04 video the day I actually am doing it and
9:08 filming it. What this means is
9:10 whatever's on my mind, like this is on
9:12 my mind today. I wanted to put this out
9:14 there. This daily Woo vlog is filmed
9:17 this morning and uploaded in real time.
9:20 And because I'm in California on the
9:22 West Coast, that means Florida, the East
9:25 Coast, is actually 3 hours behind or 3
9:30 hours ahead of me, I should say. We are
9:32 behind here on the West Coast. So, 3
9:35 hours ahead. So, if I upload this vlog
9:36 at 1:00 p.m., it's 400 p.m. in Florida
9:40 and people in Florida after 4 or 5:00
9:43 p.m. they start to wonder where is the
9:45 daily woo video. And then I have to
9:47 explain or at least attempt to explain
9:49 to people why it takes so long to upload
9:52 videos, especially when I was traveling
9:54 a lot. I never really have internet
9:56 speed to upload. So, I would have to
9:58 explain to them. And sometimes people
10:00 did not really see my point of view.
10:02 People would be very negative about why
10:04 the vlog was not up. But they did not
10:06 realize that I'm actually filming these
10:08 vlogs the day of and getting them up in
10:10 real time, unedited real time because I
10:13 think that brings us closer together in
10:15 the vicarious circle of
10:19 goodness. But those people did not
10:21 realize how it all worked because you
10:24 cannot please
10:26 everyone. So that is the topic of the
10:30 discussion. Since I've been in
10:32 California, I've been getting some
10:34 comments from people, and there are
10:37 YouTube trolls out there. YouTube trolls
10:38 are people who create fake accounts.
10:41 They are real people, but they are
10:43 YouTube quote unquote trolls, which
10:45 basically means they do not want to be
10:47 discovered. They do not want people who
10:48 to know who they are. So, what they do
10:50 is they start another YouTube account or
10:52 another social network account. They put
10:54 a default picture, some sort of a
10:57 cartoon character or something of the
10:59 nature that does not show who they
11:01 really are. So, no one can figure out
11:02 who they are. Usually, YouTube trolls
11:04 also do not have videos that they do.
11:07 They normally do not create anything
11:09 other than trolling on YouTubers and
11:13 other stuff. I do not really have a
11:15 problem with YouTube trolls. Someone
11:17 that leaves comments down below and says
11:19 something of the nature of like, I just
11:21 farted on your video. That's very
11:23 childlike and pretty ridiculous and kind
11:26 of annoying, but at the same time, it's
11:28 kind of comical and immature, but it
11:31 kind of makes me laugh to a degree. It
11:32 makes other people laugh. So, some
11:33 YouTube trolls really do not bother me
11:36 that much. The thing really that
11:38 honestly kind of bums me out, kind of
11:40 depresses me are people who have been
11:43 watching my videos for a long time and
11:44 discovered me through different avenues.
11:46 Whether it be theme parks, whether it be
11:48 roadside attractions, whether it be
11:51 movie locations, or whether it be
11:53 abandoned stuff, or even history stuff
11:56 on my main channel, and then come over
11:58 to the Daily Woo channel and expect it
12:00 everyday video. Expect every day to be
12:04 some epic abandoned theme park or an
12:07 epic movie location. Sometimes it's just
12:09 me talking about whatever I want to talk
12:12 about, whatever I want to show, whoever
12:14 I want to have in the video. And
12:17 sometimes people get confused between
12:19 the differences between the Daily Woo
12:21 video and the Adam the Woo channel
12:25 because you cannot please
12:29 everyone. And I try to please everyone.
12:32 I really do try to please everyone. It's
12:35 very difficult to reply to comments
12:36 constantly on all the different social
12:39 networks. YouTube is very weird. YouTube
12:42 switched over about a year ago, a year
12:44 and a half ago to Google+. I tried
12:47 creating a Google+ account to reply to
12:49 people. I have five or six plus
12:52 accounts. When I log into YouTube, five
12:55 or six Google+ accounts, I try to delete
12:58 some of my Google+ accounts, but it says
13:00 if you delete this Google+ account,
13:02 there's a possibility that you will
13:04 delete either some videos or there will
13:06 be some error or deletion of some of
13:09 your stuff on your YouTube channel. That
13:11 scares me to death. So, I decided I'm
13:14 not going to go on YouTube and reply to
13:16 people. I would rather people get a hold
13:17 of me on social networks because it's
13:20 easier. And most people have Facebook,
13:22 Twitter or Instagram or one of those and
13:24 people can get a hold of me on there.
13:25 And that way if people want to meet up
13:27 with me in real life, they can get a
13:28 hold of me on there. This upset people
13:30 that I was not replying to their YouTube
13:33 comments even though I read every single
13:36 comment. So if you have left something
13:38 positive that has actually helped me
13:40 that I cherish and I enjoy and has
13:43 actually brought happiness into my life.
13:46 I have actually read that and I
13:47 sincerely appreciate that as well as
13:50 these YouTube trolls who leave these
13:51 ridiculously funny hateful sometimes
13:54 hateful but funny comments down below
13:56 and as well as people who've actually
13:58 been following me for a long time who
13:59 get discouraged in what I'm doing
14:01 because they do not understand what is
14:03 going on in my life behind the scenes.
14:06 some of the stuff that I do not share.
14:08 They do not
14:09 realize what actually is always going
14:13 on. And sometimes they get bummed out
14:14 that I do not reply to the YouTube
14:17 comments because of this weird issue
14:19 with
14:20 Google+. But you know what? You cannot
14:24 please everyone. And I wish I wish I
14:27 could please everyone. I wish I could
14:30 please you sir, ma'am. Even the children
14:32 out there who get discouraged sometimes
14:35 and say, "Man, why is Adam at
14:37 Disneyland? Why does people say, "Why
14:39 does Adam go to Disneyland every day?" I
14:41 have actually been here in California
14:45 since New Year's Eve and I counted how
14:48 many vlogs, how many daily Woo vlogs
14:50 I've done at Disneyland since New Year's
14:53 Day. So, we're looking at two months.
14:55 I've done seven videos in 2 months,
14:58 which is less than one a week from
15:00 Disneyland, which is pretty good
15:02 considering I go to Disneyland probably
15:05 four or five times a week myself. You're
15:07 only seeing the one time a week that I
15:09 actually do a vlog from
15:11 there. So, I'm definitely trying to mix
15:14 things up. I'm also doing mail vlogs. I
15:16 have mail actually sitting right over
15:18 here in the passenger seat next to me
15:20 while I drive around because I just left
15:22 the post office and I'm heading back
15:24 home. have some stuff to do. I'm
15:25 actually doing laundry for the first
15:27 time. Give having a house and trying to
15:30 get things from my house is very time
15:33 consuming, especially when I have to go
15:35 out every morning, every day. You'll
15:37 notice except for the mail vlogs. I have
15:40 actually done no videos, no vlogs from
15:42 my home. Everything I do is out of the
15:45 house, getting off the house, being
15:47 adventurous, bringing you vicariously
15:49 into my life through my adventures. So,
15:52 I hope that you actually see what is
15:55 going on. I hope you realize that me
15:57 moving into this house is very
15:59 temporary. In fact, I hope you realize,
16:01 even though I mentioned it a couple
16:02 weeks ago, I have a road trip coming up.
16:04 I have a lot of awesome plans. And I
16:06 hope you realize I actually have some
16:08 other videos in a bucket. Actually, it's
16:12 on my hard drive that I have been
16:14 editing that I will be uploading. All
16:16 types of stuff. Theme parks, abandoned
16:18 stuff, movie locations. A lot of work
16:21 goes into the Adam the Woo channel. And
16:24 I hope you realize the Daily Woo channel
16:26 is just a vlog channel about what I do
16:28 every
16:29 day. What do you do every day? What
16:33 consumes your life? What are you
16:35 presenting to the world? And if you
16:38 present something to the world, do you
16:40 have the issue or the problem with
16:43 someone critiquing your stuff? And do
16:45 you ever say to yourself, you know what,
16:48 you can't please
16:50 everyone, but you still try to please
16:53 everyone. And I'm going to try to please
16:56 everyone, but please do not get upset
16:59 with me if I cannot please 100% of the
17:02 people 100% of the
17:05 time. or if you have a suggestion on how
17:08 I can please more people more percentage
17:11 of the time trying to get my batting
17:13 average up. Who has the highest batting
17:16 average in
17:17 the baseball league, the
17:21 MLB? I don't know. I used to know a lot
17:23 about baseball, but I haven't followed
17:24 baseball in a while. I was thinking
17:26 about actually going to some Anaheim
17:27 Angels games when those start. So, let's
17:32 recap. I have a road trip coming up,
17:34 which I have not announced yet, but I
17:36 will very
17:37 soon. I have videos that I'm editing. I
17:41 have lots of adventures. I have a book
17:43 that I actually wrote on the book
17:46 itself, and it says, "Write it down,
17:49 then go do it." I have a laundry list,
17:52 no pun intended, because I am doing
17:53 laundry back at my house. I have a
17:55 laundry list on a sheet of paper in a
17:57 book, a hard spiral book that I bought
17:59 and wrote down what I'm going to do
18:01 every single day. Sometimes the issue is
18:04 I have to get a video up early enough
18:06 that way I can actually keep my record
18:08 of doing a vlog every single day. Which
18:11 also leads me to the question, would you
18:13 guys rather actually see me only do a
18:16 vlog a week and do something epic for a
18:18 daily vlog or would you want to see me
18:21 talking to a camera every week? This is
18:23 where I'm trying to make people happy,
18:25 trying to listen to opinions, reading
18:28 your guys' comments down below. Even
18:29 though Google+ has actually screwed me
18:31 up to where I can't reply to comments,
18:32 I'd rather reply on Facebook, Twitter,
18:34 and
18:35 Instagram. So, that's what that's what
18:37 the conundrum is. I know you cannot
18:41 please everyone. You cannot please
18:44 everyone. And please realize that I
18:47 cannot please everyone. And my mission
18:50 is to get out and do things and bring
18:53 you guys along for the ride. And I have
18:56 a lot of stuff in the works. But please
18:59 remember, I me cannot please everyone.
19:03 And you cannot please everyone either.
19:06 Have a great day. I love you guys. Bye.
