0:37 Blessing induced. I would like to give

0:42 wrap-up 2015.

0:45 Today is a historic occasion on a

0:48 few a few different angles because on

0:53 this day six years ago I actually put up

0:56 my first adventure channel video. What

1:00 does that mean exactly? Well, on

1:02 YouTube/Adam thewoo I do adventure

1:05 videos that I'm sure most of the people

1:07 watching these vlogs have probably

1:10 stumbled on or seen over the years. The

1:13 very first one I ever did was on

1:15 December 31st, which is today in

1:19 2009. And while I did not officially

1:22 become a full-time quote unquote

1:24 YouTuber until late 2011, today is the

1:28 historic anniversary of my very first

1:31 adventure video. You can actually go

1:33 over to

1:35 YouTube/adamoo and look for that. You

1:37 can actually look at the top viewed

1:39 videos, but you can also go to a graph

1:41 and pull down oldest video to newest

1:44 video. And if you don't want to go

1:46 through all that rigma roll, you can

1:47 just actually just type in Adam the Woo

1:50 Sugar Mill and you will actually see the

1:53 very first video I ever did six six

1:57 years ago. People say, "You've been

1:58 doing videos six years." Yes and no. The

2:01 first year and a half were a little

2:03 slowgoing because I was still working a

2:04 job. But in late 2011, I quit my job,

2:07 moved into my van, traveled around the

2:10 country for quite some time, and that is

2:12 when I technically like to say I started

2:15 doing videos. Anyway, I digress from

2:17 that anniversary day and actually talk

2:20 about another anniversary, which

2:22 actually happened one year ago. Today,

2:25 one year ago from right now is when I

2:28 arrived in California with no vision and

2:32 no thought process of actually moving

2:35 here. I was originally just going to

2:36 come out here and visit for the third or

2:38 fourth time in my life, sleeping in my

2:40 van, traveling around, sometimes getting

2:43 hotels, sometimes sleeping on couches of

2:45 friends and people who watch my videos.

2:48 And I decided, let me actually plant

2:51 some roots in Southern California. And I

2:55 actually did not do that until

2:57 February

2:59 of this this year, 2015. But the day I

3:03 arrived was this day, New Year's Eve. I

3:07 drove from Florida on the 28th of

3:10 December, just a couple short days ago.

3:12 drove completely across the country in a

3:15 matter of two to three days and arrived

3:18 in time for fireworks, the New Year's

3:21 Eve celebration fireworks at Disneyland.

3:24 And I stood on that very packed main

3:26 street and watched the fireworks. I have

3:28 not decided what I'm going to do

3:29 tonight. I might actually do that again

3:32 if the park has not hit capacity. I

3:35 might venture down there and

3:37 actually watch the fireworks above the

3:39 castle and celebrate 2015 ending into

3:43 2016. What a heck of a year it has been.

3:46 What a wonderful and blessful and

3:49 prosperous and happy for the heart year

3:53 that I have had. It's pretty amazing the

3:56 way life works. It's pretty amazing that

3:59 this YouTube thing has come into my

4:02 world and fallen into my lap, I guess

4:05 you could say. Well, not really. I guess

4:07 I went out and searched for it. And it's

4:08 interesting because of this one year,

4:11 not one year, this six-year anniversary

4:13 of my very first Adam the Woo video on

4:15 the Adam the Woo channel. It got me

4:18 thinking about how I started doing

4:20 videos. And my whole philosophy was, let

4:23 me go to

4:25 locations that will have people either

4:28 Google searching. That's a very loud

4:29 noise. That's a very loud truck. That is

4:32 a very loud truck. I don't know if

4:34 trucks are allowed to be that loud in

4:36 2016. That truck only has one day of

4:40 allowedness to be that loud. That does

4:42 not make any sense. Why did I start

4:44 doing videos and why did I start doing

4:45 adventure videos? because I wanted

4:46 people who did not know who I was. No

4:49 one is going to search for me. No one's

4:51 going to search. I want to look up a guy

4:53 that's being goofy and making really

4:55 horrible jokes at an abandoned place.

4:57 What they're going to search is they're

4:59 going to look up a location, either a

5:01 theme park or they're going to look up

5:04 an abandoned spot or they're going to

5:05 look up something of interest and I'm

5:08 going to be in the video. And this is a

5:10 very foreign and a very unusual way of

5:13 thinking back then by today's standards.

5:15 Everyone on YouTube is kind of doing

5:17 that same philosophy, but I don't think

5:19 there were a lot of people doing it that

5:21 way back then. People were doing vlogs

5:24 or were daily vloggers, but no one was

5:26 really going to abandon places and theme

5:28 parks and doing that kind of thing. So,

5:30 I thought this is kind of a clever twist

5:33 on what I wanted to be doing, which was

5:36 like comedy videos and stuff like that

5:37 in the beginning, but who is going to

5:39 watch that because no one knows who I

5:41 am. So my philosophy was put myself in

5:43 front of the camera and people will say

5:45 gosh this guy's really annoying. This

5:47 guy's really irritating. This guy is not

5:49 attractive to our eyes. So you might

5:52 have said but over time I started to

5:55 slowly grow on people. You started to

5:57 know or like or dislike my either my

6:01 personality or how I did the videos. And

6:04 slowly the places I went became less and

6:08 less important and I became more of the

6:11 focal point of the video. And that was

6:13 my whole philosophy. And six years ago

6:16 was the beginning of that philosophy.

6:19 And I can safely say today on the last

6:21 day of 2015, it has worked out

6:26 wonderfully. I did not really think it

6:30 would. I was kind of going on a whim. I

6:32 was having a little faith in

6:34 myself and everything is working out

6:38 wonderfully. I'm living here in Southern

6:41 California filming filming locations,

6:43 filming abandoned stuff, filming theme

6:45 parks. I started a vlog channel about

6:48 three and a half years ago. Just think

6:50 about this. This vlog channel, let's not

6:52 even talk about the anniversaries of the

6:54 main channel. Let's talk about this

6:55 channel which you're watching. well over

6:59 three almost three and a half years in

7:02 July of this year of 2000. Well, next

7:05 year technically tomorrow is next year

7:07 which I know a lot the probably the most

7:09 famous joke you're going to hear today

7:10 is see you next year buddy. See you next

7:12 year. Hey buddy, see you next year. It's

7:15 probably the most cliche joke to use on

7:18 New Year's Eve. But what was I talking

7:22 about? Oh yes, the anniversary of the

7:24 Daily Woo, which will happen starting

7:26 tomorrow will be next year in 2016 in

7:29 July, early July, will be 4 years of

7:32 that. And good Lord willing and the

7:34 creek don't rise, I will be around to

7:36 celebrate that 4-year anniversary. And

7:38 it's amazing what that original Adam Woo

7:40 channel spawned off into. It's just

7:44 amazing to have you guys in my life. I

7:45 really cannot express enough the love I

7:48 have for the positivity and the support

7:51 that everyone shows me, had shown me,

7:55 has shown me and continues to show me.

7:59 And it's always progressing. New people

8:01 are finding these vlogs. New people are

8:03 finding the other channel. People that

8:05 never knew I existed and the videos I

8:07 did existed. And that is a wonderful

8:09 thing about the internet. I've said this

8:11 a million times. The internet is full of

8:14 evil and harm and a lot of bad things.

8:17 But I think we have proven altogether

8:19 that this is the good side of the

8:22 interwebs. The internet is good for a

8:24 lot of positive, happy, wonderful

8:28 things. And I really want to say thank

8:31 you for that here at the end of 2015

8:34 into

8:35 2016. What does 2016 have in store for

8:39 me? pretty much a lot of more of the

8:41 same but more on an enhanced level. A

8:46 lot of people they will say why don't

8:47 you do more of these type of videos? Why

8:49 don't you do more of these type of

8:50 videos? And 2015 was kind of not a rough

8:54 year for me but a year filmed with not

8:57 filmed with but filled with debt and

9:00 credit card accumulation, moving and

9:03 renting a place and getting furniture

9:06 and my roommates leaving and things like

9:08 that.

9:09 unforeseen

9:11 circumstances really like set me back

9:13 moneywise as traveling as much as I

9:15 wanted to. And it is nice to sleep in

9:17 the van, travel in the van, live in the

9:19 van, and travel the country. But because

9:21 I now have a residence here in Southern

9:24 California, I have to like take it a

9:27 little bit with a grain of salt and

9:28 basically instead of driving across the

9:30 country since I'm paying rent here, I

9:32 have to fly places so I can come back

9:34 and at least

9:35 utilize in living in Southern California

9:38 is not as cheap as other areas and I

9:40 understand that. However, because even

9:42 though the rent is a little bit more,

9:43 there are way more things to film like

9:45 the filming locations, which I hope you

9:47 guys enjoy the filming locations, cuz

9:48 there are a lot of those in the brain

9:51 schedule and written down in my go out

9:54 and do it notebook for

9:57 2016, which also, spoiler alert, 2016

10:01 there will be a lot of movie locations.

10:04 Did you guys watch the Halloween filming

10:07 locations video? If you like that, you

10:09 will be getting more of that type of

10:12 videos on the Adam the Woo channel over

10:15 the next year. In fact, a lot of content

10:18 will be movie locations and I have a few

10:21 abandoned locations coming up as well.

10:22 In fact, I just put up a couple

10:24 abandoned videos recently as well. I

10:26 will be tapering back a little bit on

10:29 the main channel and vlog Disney videos.

10:33 There's so much more stuff out there to

10:34 film. I love Disney. I still go to

10:36 Disney. I still have my annual pass, but

10:38 I'm going to taper back the vlogs and

10:41 taper back the main channel videos over

10:44 at theme parks and Disney World and

10:47 Disneyland. They were still exist, but

10:49 on a smaller scale so I can focus on the

10:51 abandoned places and on the filming

10:54 locations. Let's talk about New Year's

10:57 resolutions. Everyone has resolutions.

10:59 What are you going to do? What are you

11:00 going to change? I am not going to

11:02 profess any major profound changes that

11:06 I will making. I am going to try to eat

11:08 a little bit better than I have been.

11:10 Try to lose a little bit of weight. No

11:12 exorbitant crazy crash diets diets like

11:15 I did last year. If you remember some of

11:17 the vlogs and some of the crazy things I

11:18 was doing. I just want to try to taper

11:22 back a little bit of what I've been

11:24 eating. maybe drink a little bit less

11:25 soda. Maybe drink a little bit less

11:26 coffee. A little bit less of the bad

11:29 fast foodie type things, which

11:32 ironically moving to California, I have

11:33 not ate as much fast food as I did when

11:35 I was traveling cuz California is a

11:38 mecca of good food. I very rarely eat at

11:41 like a Burger King or a Taco Bell or a

11:43 McDonald's. I used to live on those

11:45 types of places, but there is every

11:48 possible delicatesscent dish of goodness

11:52 out here in Southern California. So, you

11:54 really don't have to go to fast food as

11:56 much, which is actually kind of nice.

11:59 Also, I'm going to be tapering back on

12:01 social media a little bit. I am not

12:04 going to be bombarding Facebook,

12:06 Twitter, and Instagram. I still will

12:09 read what people will post, but I'm not

12:11 going to be replying quite as much or

12:14 constantly updating what I am doing,

12:17 what I have done in the last hour,

12:19 things like that. I'm going to try to

12:20 focus more on going out and filming

12:23 videos. I started to think of the time

12:26 spent on social media. And I'm not going

12:27 to go on a social media hiatus. I'm not

12:30 going to delete my accounts. I I

12:31 mentioned that last year. I'm not going

12:33 to do that in 2016, but I will be

12:36 tapering it back. I will not be posting

12:38 these vlogs on social media anymore. I

12:40 will not be posting this on Facebook

12:42 anymore. So, if you have subscribed to

12:44 the Adam the Woo channel and this

12:46 channel, you are one of the lucky few

12:48 who are going to get that

12:50 notification summoning you that Adam the

12:52 Woo me has either a new vlog or a new

12:54 main channel. I will keep it off social

12:56 media and just use social media for

12:58 important things or if things arise

13:01 later in the day, I will be using

13:02 Periscope and things like that. But that

13:05 is one of my New Year's resolutions to

13:07 chill out. Chill out. That's right.

13:09 Chill out a little bit on social media.

13:12 Just kind of calm it down just a little

13:14 bit. That's about it. That's all I can

13:16 think of. New Year's resolutions. It's

13:18 going to be a good year. 2015 was a

13:22 crossover year for me. getting out of

13:25 the van, getting a place, going from the

13:28 east coast, which is what I was familiar

13:30 with being a Florida boy, born in

13:32 Mississippi, living on the East Coast,

13:34 and then living in Florida for over two

13:36 decades. I tried quite the transition of

13:39 being here in California. But I've

13:42 gotten my feet wet, my feet are now

13:44 planted, and they are starting to become

13:45 rooted in the Southern California soil,

13:49 if you will, in 2016. I'm looking

13:53 forward to a lot of good things on the

13:57 horizon. Thanks for joining me every

14:00 day. I I say it a million times. I know

14:02 it's annoying. I know it's irritating to

14:05 hear. It's irritating for me to say over

14:06 and over and over because I think to

14:08 myself, people are probably seriously

14:10 obnoxiously annoyed with how many times

14:12 I tell them that I appreciate it and

14:15 that I love them. But it's true. I

14:17 cannot I could not do all this without

14:20 you guys watching these vlogs. If no one

14:22 was watching, I probably would not do

14:24 them as often. I probably still do them

14:26 to have a diary, but I don't know if I

14:28 would do them every day. I do not know

14:29 if I would have the desire or the

14:31 passion to get up and go out and film

14:33 things if no one else was interested.

14:36 So, thank you for being interested. I am

14:39 blessed. I'm very humbled to have you as

14:41 a part of my life. I'm going to finish
