0:04 Over here to the right is a line of cars
0:04 and the end of the line starts right
0:06 there. These are all vehicles that are
0:08 waiting to get sandbags filled.
0:12 Yesterday the line was a lot shorter,
0:13 but
0:15 today the line is out of control. It
0:17 goes on and on and on. Take a look at
0:20 how many cars this is. Probably an hour
0:24 or two wait just to get to the sandbag
0:27 area.
0:46 Wow. Another major issue is
0:46 gas. This gas station is completely out.
0:49 You always know something's going down
0:51 when people are lined up for propane.
0:54 That's not
0:56 normal. Welcome everyone. Adam the Woo
0:59 here. Thank you the for the event. It's
1:02 my second channel, daily vlog channel.
1:03 It's the
1:05 daily
1:07 woo. People are definitely getting
1:10 prepared. That's a smart idea. Actually,
1:13 that guy's getting ready, too. Lot of
1:15 houses with
1:18 boards. This is the way to do it right
1:20 here. You got shutters. You just pull
1:22 them down over the windows instead of
1:23 putting boards up. And they got their
1:25 sandbags ready. My mom has shutters like
1:27 that. I spent a good portion of this
1:29 morning putting the shutters down and I
1:31 sliced my hand pretty good right here.
1:34 Probably should put a band-aid on that.
1:36 Sustained winds are 140 mph putting it
1:39 on the Saffer Simpson hurricane wind
1:41 scale at a category 4. Looks like
1:42 they're definitely prepared and ready to
1:44 go. Leaving no window
1:53 unturned. Not really anyone out at the
1:53 lakefront for obvious reasons. And
1:55 everyone's getting their last minute
1:56 shopping done. You could see the normal
1:59 still lake has some ripples in it and
2:02 it's pretty calm right now, but later in
2:05 the day when it progresses, it's
2:06 definitely not going to be this way. I'm
2:08 not going to sugarcoat it. I hate
2:10 hurricanes. It's not just the hurricane
2:12 winds and the rain and the flooding and
2:15 the lightning and all that that is bad.
2:18 It's the tornadoes that they spawn off.
2:20 In 2004, three separate hurricanes came
2:24 through Central Florida and right over
2:26 St. Cloud. It was about the worst month
2:28 that I can ever recall in my history of
2:31 dealing with horrible weather. And I
2:33 promised I would never be in Florida
2:36 again for a hurricane. But here I am
2:39 once
2:40 again dealing with this. And you might
2:42 be asking, Adam, why don't you just
2:44 leave? Why don't you drive to Tampa or
2:47 just drive out of the state? That's a
2:49 good question because my mom and dad
2:51 live here and I'm staying with them
2:52 currently and I don't think it would be
2:54 the right thing to do to just hightail
2:57 it. See you later, parents. I'm I'm
3:00 getting to dry land. Embrace the storm
3:02 on your own. I just feel like I need to
3:05 be here just in case something happens.
3:09 Oh, check those out. I've never seen
3:10 window covers like that, but yeah, that
3:12 works, too. Something happened up here.
3:14 This person wrecked their motorcycle in
3:17 the middle of the road.
3:18 Hope they're
3:20 okay. It's like the fire department's
3:22 going to help her out. I don't even know
3:23 what's going on, but there are a lot of
3:25 emergency vehicles out already. And the
3:28 storm hasn't even arrived yet. I'm not
3:30 100%
3:31 sure, but they're not letting anyone in
3:34 Walmart. The doors at this Walmart, at
3:37 least on this side, are closed. People
3:39 are trying to flood in there, but
3:40 there's really not a lot of cars here.
3:42 I'm wondering if they have closed
3:43 Walmart for the day. Look at these guys.
3:45 They're moving the metal racks inside.
3:49 I just asked that employee and he said
3:51 that Walmart is now closed. That is
3:54 something that rarely happens. Uh
3:56 Walmart Super Center closing and I just
3:58 heard on the radio Universal Studios
4:01 also closing. It's safe to say that the
4:04 Outer
4:05 Bands are starting to rear their ugly
4:08 heads.
4:23 There's some sort of alarm back there
4:23 going off. I don't know if you can hear
4:25 with all this wind, there is an alarm
4:27 going off at the lakefront. I've never
4:30 in all the years I've been here heard
4:32 that. That must be warning anyone on the
4:34 lake in a boat or on this little pathway
4:39 or the beach to head to high ground and
4:42 get away from the oncoming storm. They
4:45 have said they do not want anybody else
4:46 on the road. So, I'm going to go park
4:48 the car at my parents house. My parents
4:51 are going to some friends of theirs. I'm
4:52 going to a friend of mine. All within a
4:54 mile or two of each other. My parents
4:57 where they are living. I don't know if
4:59 it's the best place to be staying. It's
5:01 because the storm is so dangerous. We
5:03 have all decided, the three of us, me,
5:04 my mom, and my father, have decided to
5:07 go to more structurally sound areas. And
5:10 a lot of other people in Central Florida
5:12 are heeding that advice as well. They
5:14 are only keeping the beach bridges open
5:17 until 5:00. After that, if you decide to
5:21 stay
5:22 beachside in Melbourne or in New Smyrna
5:26 or in any of those bar outlying islands,
5:28 then they are not coming to get you if
5:30 you end up with the roof blown off. Wa!
5:32 Look at this puddle of water. I don't
5:33 know if this rimma car will go through
5:34 this or not. That's pretty deep. Just
5:38 got to get through it
5:39 quick. Hasn't even rained that much.
5:42 It's already flooding. And check out
5:43 over here. All these people getting
5:46 their last minute ice from this ice. I
5:49 never see anyone at this thing ever till
5:52 today. Also, still expecting anywhere
5:53 from around 8 to 12 ines of rain out
5:55 towards the coast and the winds along
5:57 the coast could be in excess of 100
5:58 miles hour. It's a pretty good idea to
6:00 make sure that your RV doesn't fly away.
6:03 They have it tied to the tree. I mean,
6:05 it looks kind of weird, but it's better
6:07 than losing your RV in a storm.
6:59 It's coming. You can see it. You can see
6:59 it coming across the lake. Got to keep
7:02 taking a step
7:04 back cuz it is on its way right
7:12 now.
7:12 Yeah. Got to get away from there. Oh
7:15 man, it's catching up with me. It's
7:18 catching up with me. It's soaked. Hope I
7:19 don't ruin my phone. I got to run. I
7:23 don't have a vehicle. I'm staying at my
7:25 friend's house way up here.
7:31 Oh my
7:31 gosh, it's coming. It's on its way right
7:43 now. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. It's
7:43 coming. Stay safe out
7:46 there. Vlog over.
