0:31 see the checkpoint lines and traffic

1:30 looks as if you were allowed to queue up

1:32 starting at 5 a.m I did not get it here

1:36 and there's some signs saying badges are

1:38 required up there this d23 Expo right up

1:41 there

1:42 the ultimate Disney Fan event I got some

1:45 very large Inflatables over here we got

1:47 the Pixar ball we got Olaf we got Boba

1:49 Fett right here and look at this you can

1:51 walk underneath a huge Disney plus

1:52 Archway and I like the fact that I'm

1:54 already starting to see some cosplay

1:56 gonna be quite a bit of Cosplay here I

1:58 always like this part of the convention

2:00 center here it's very futuristic yeah

2:03 it's very tomorrowlandish and this is a

2:06 the newer Wing right over here

2:09 most of it is going to be half

2:13 hundred yards near the family thank you

2:15 you thank you all right we got a little

2:17 program and you get a little bag one

2:20 thing that's really cool about this Expo

2:21 is they're going to be celebrating the

2:24 100th anniversary of the company

2:27 100 years 100 Years of Wonder also

2:30 there's some programs down here as well

2:31 but I got that one I'm not even sure if

2:33 I really need the bag but let's grab it

2:35 are you going Bagless oh always back oh

2:37 what is that what did you get the thing

2:39 that I need for my badge of the lanyard

2:41 the lanyard oh look at this

2:43 I'm gonna grab one of these too I

2:45 already have one that I brought from

2:47 home but I need a little collectible I

2:50 don't know if I need the bag either but

2:51 I think it's kind of kind of confusing

2:53 I'm not really sure which is the line to

2:56 get in and which is the panel lines it's

3:00 kind of tough to tell because this might

3:02 be the lines to get in I think that's

3:04 yeah this is the lines to get in I have

3:05 everyone queued up here

3:11 Legends panel which is all the way this

3:14 and then there's that

3:16 extension of the convention center I

3:18 showed that's also filled with people

3:53 that was very lackluster

3:54 this is amazing okay so look at the line

3:59 and now look at everyone cued up down

4:08 like thousands of people waiting to go

4:09 down and that's not even going through

4:10 the checkpoint and then over to the

4:11 parking lot on the other side of Harbor

4:17 that's why I love getting the things

4:17 early and seeing this because we get

4:18 here later in the day kind of miss out

4:20 on all this

4:22 you know the hordes of people like this

4:51 we should probably go ahead and get

5:00 look at this this is awesome ah yes it's

5:03 good to be back you know how many times

5:05 during 2020. even in the partial 21

5:08 there was no one in here and I thought

5:11 to myself wow I always remember d23

5:12 being so packed that this place was a

5:15 ghost town and now we're all back in

5:19 23 Expo the ultimate Disney Fan event

5:23 and it is a three-day event Friday

5:24 Saturday and Sunday and here is what's

5:27 happening the schedule throughout the

5:28 course A lot of people are waiting

5:29 outside for the Disney Legends awards

5:31 ceremony which Bobby C Bob chapek will

5:34 be speaking at for the first time in a

5:36 while so it's gonna be interesting to

5:37 see the reaction for him and I did not

5:39 get any reservations for any of these

5:42 I'm hoping some of these are going to be

5:43 like standby so this is today's

5:45 you know there's a few different ones

5:46 you got haul 23 Premiere Backlot archive

5:49 stage and the Hyperion stage oh look at

5:52 this they're doing something on Walt's

5:54 play we gotta find Walt's Place yeah

5:55 that's that's the number one goal we

5:56 gotta go find Walsh playing move from

5:58 Florida to here now a lot of these doors

6:00 are closed with the one on the end down

6:01 there is open and this one is being held

6:03 open by everyone so I'm just kind of I'm

6:05 just following the car you know I'm just

6:06 gonna peer pressure I'm just going right

6:08 in with everyone else okay now they are

6:11 asking to make mobile reservations for a

6:14 lot of these events including to see

6:15 Waltz playing

6:16 however right now because there's you

6:19 know just the doors just open it's

6:20 standby just walking right in but I'm

6:22 sure as the event progresses we have to

6:24 do a lot of mobile reservations go in to

6:26 see Waltz playing now not only is this

6:29 really awesome to see yeah especially

6:31 because it's been repainted the last

6:33 time I saw this it was sitting behind

6:35 the stunt car show at former MGM Studios

6:39 now about Hollywood Studios I think it

6:40 was actually called Hollywood Studios in

6:42 but he used to be sitting behind that

6:43 behind the show Pavilion and then also

6:46 catastrophe Canyon it was kind of wedged

6:49 in there and then it sat Backstage on

6:51 Walt Disney World property for a very

6:53 very long time and then I think a few

6:54 weeks ago they dismantled it moved it

6:56 cross country repainted it and now it's

6:59 sitting here and from what I'm hearing

7:00 they're going to be putting it in a

7:01 museum in Palm Springs so this is going

7:03 to be existing in Southern California

7:04 you know an hour and a half or so from

7:07 Disneyland okay I walked over to Hall

7:10 d23 I was thinking maybe getting standby

7:12 for the Legends panel but I believe the

7:15 auditorium's already full and this this

7:17 is the crowd that's waiting to get in so

7:19 I don't think we're going to be getting

7:20 in there yeah this is something it might

7:22 be in the video June tell me how long

7:24 you've been waiting here I think I got

7:26 here at 5 30 so I think I've been here

7:28 around five hours five hours just to get

7:30 in the Legends panel and I said I wasn't

7:32 going to do it and now you do it

7:34 Chadwick Boseman is going to have a uh

8:13 half hour wait to get into this there's

8:15 the Walt statues coming to Epcot okay

8:17 this is interesting

8:18 I wasn't expecting this over here is it

8:21 a little maintenance on the Windows here

8:28 they got jokes speaking of glass uh

8:30 over there certainly be careful you

8:32 don't want to

8:41 looks like it's great time

8:41 here's some of the ride vehicles from

8:43 Tangled and Frozen those going over to

8:45 Tokyo Disney Resort a lot of the new

8:47 stuff that's coming to the parks is

8:48 going to be in this little booth and

8:49 it's going to be called Fantasy Springs

8:51 even a Tinkerbell ride vehicle down here

8:53 all right there are a number of models

8:56 in here which definitely I want to show

8:58 a little attention to now they do have

9:00 these Splash Mountain it's not going to

9:01 be an overlay but a complete re-theme

9:03 which is going to be the Tiana Bayou

9:05 adventure and I believe this one here is

9:08 actually not the Walt Disney World

9:10 version of Magic Kingdom but this is the

9:12 Disneyland version of the new Tiana ride

9:14 they've been talking about this in fact

9:15 2019 d23 they announced it and now it's

9:18 finally starting to come to fruition the

9:20 ride's still open under you know Splash

9:22 Mountain but soon they will be closing

9:24 it down for the overlay also speaking of

9:26 Disneyland they're showing what the

9:28 Mickey and Minnie's Railway you know the

9:31 Mickey and Minnie runaway where Elway is

9:33 going to look like and not just that but

9:34 also the building for that but also what

9:37 the entire Toontown is going to look

9:39 like two town is getting kind of a

9:41 revamp getting cleaned up a little bit

9:42 making a little bit more room for

9:44 different items there's two different

9:45 models you know including the boat and

9:48 then I believe it's Goofy's house and

9:49 all that and kind of working in a few

9:51 things that aren't normally

9:52 in the in the Toontown area and then

9:55 there's also an area of at over at Epcot

9:58 where the water the moana's water area

10:01 is going to be and they're showing some

10:02 of the topi areas where the topiary is

10:04 going to look like over in that section

10:06 and you know definitely a lot of Epcot

10:07 also speaking of Epcot they have the

10:09 Walt statue and I just learned that the

10:12 Walt statue this is the one that's going

10:14 to be moved from here cross country

10:16 going to end up on the back side of

10:18 spaceship earth and it's not going to be

10:20 like the partner statue imagine Kingdom

10:21 or Disneyland where you cannot approach

10:22 it and touch it you were going to be

10:24 able to stand next to Walt and get a

10:27 photo on the backside of spaceship earth

10:28 almost similar to the Roy and mini

10:30 sculpture that is on Main Street at

10:33 Magic Kingdom that you can sit on the

10:34 bench kind of very very similar to that

10:37 so that's pretty dang awesome and a lot

10:39 of people in this room a lot of people

10:40 have kind of wedged in this room to look

10:42 at everything definitely a cool exhibit

10:45 I'm glad I walked in and pay attention

10:46 to it and I had to take this photo for

10:49 posterity now when finally the

10:50 construction is done at Epcot Center I

10:53 will recreate this but in the park with

10:55 the real spaceship earth behind Walt and

10:57 you know the monorail probably won't be

10:58 in frame like it is here but I will be

11:00 able to stand by this very one and I

11:02 touched it I touched Walt and all you

11:05 know when he's in the park I thought

11:07 maybe I should probably touch the touch

11:08 the sculpture before he's placed behind

11:10 like a fence or something but I heard

11:12 from a cast member that nope he's going

11:14 to be out there in the elements with

11:16 everyone able to meet and greet with

11:17 everyone all right the Walt Disney

11:18 Hometown Museum of Marceline has an

11:20 exhibit here and if you sign this bench

11:22 it will end up in the museum and I go to

11:24 Marceline pretty often so I think I'm

11:25 going to sign the bench and look for it

11:27 later all right I am now right over

11:29 there I have embedded myself in the okay

11:32 the next mobile cue started at 1pm so it

11:36 was 15 minutes till then so just decided

11:38 to kind of walk around hit Mickey's at

11:40 Glendale another time I mean I'm here

11:41 for here for the whole weekend so a

11:43 company yeah it is really really busy in

11:47 here there's a lot of people in here at

11:49 this moment in fact this worker is

11:51 trying to get through with something

11:52 hang on that part having a hard time

11:54 kind of like swimming Upstream oh I see

11:57 a sorcerer's cap kind of peeking up over

14:21 line but here there was a lot of people

14:24 in line so we decided to go with mix

14:26 we're gonna mix it up a little bit Dave

14:31 so our hack doesn't work maybe I

14:34 shouldn't have mentioned the hack in the

14:35 video maybe we're not here right now do

18:37 in 1964 Mary Poppins came along which

18:40 was very very popular and kind of just

18:41 kept the kept the train yeah and

18:43 evidently this is the dress from the

18:45 movie screen used dress right there

18:47 was worn Mary Poppins dressed right

18:49 there from the archives and probably

18:52 even the same horse and then of course

18:54 1971 Walt Disney World and they have

18:57 Haunted Mansion here representing Deputy

18:59 some of the props from the attic here

19:03 furniture from the original attic all

19:05 kind of scattered around this is just so

19:07 dang cool to think this was on the

19:09 attraction and doom buggies go by right

19:12 of course the bite has been replaced but

19:14 yeah original Broadway and from Tron

19:17 Flynn's arcade over here as well with a

19:21 retro Tron machine over there in the

19:24 corner and Comet collider also

19:25 forwarding in 1990 I love the film Dick

19:28 Tracy with Madonna and Warren Beatty

19:30 1990 this is a recreation of the club

19:32 Ritz I would imagine these are probably

19:34 screen used that might be Madonna's

19:36 breathless Mahoney

19:38 I'll fit up and I just read the

19:40 information placard and indeed it is

19:42 Madonna wore this very outfit right here

19:45 and Warren Beatty wore this this Dick

19:46 Tracy outfit from the film I really do

19:49 like that that film 1990 is hard to

19:52 believe it's been that long ago since

19:53 Dick Tracy came out in theaters now I

19:57 then back in 2012 Disney took over and

20:00 acquired Star Wars there's some Star

20:01 Wars problems all right I'm now in line

20:03 for MOG Mickey's of Glendale went ahead

20:05 and scanned the reservation and now

20:06 getting into Cube now it ended up taking

20:08 about 45 minutes when it was all said

20:10 and done I think if I would have known

20:12 it would have taken this long to get in

20:13 here the 45 minutes even after getting

20:15 the mobile cue and setting all that up I

20:18 don't know if I would have waited in the

20:19 line I would have come back at another

20:20 time this weekend and done it a little

20:22 earlier because earlier did not seem

20:24 like the even after getting in with a

20:25 mobile cue the line was that long pretty

20:27 cool that they're celebrating the 70th

20:29 anniversary of imagineering there's

20:30 something along the 70th merchandise

20:32 stuff now since I did wait that long I'm

20:34 definitely going to be purchasing

20:35 something whether it be the 70th

20:37 anniversary of the imaginary stuff

20:39 emergency no t-shirts things like that

20:41 they also have some pens and pencils and

20:43 items like that but then they also have

20:45 a lot of the Muppet studio stuff and you

20:48 know I do like the Muppets kind of some

20:50 deep cut items and some more popular

20:52 Muppet items scattered through it one

20:54 thing I have really fascinating too is

20:56 the Three Little Pigs merchandise which

20:59 they had quite a bit of you know items

21:02 from The Three Little Pigs construction

21:04 company and then also

21:07 they had Mickey mini runaway Railway

21:09 stuff but not the Hollywood Studios

21:11 version but the Toontown version which

21:14 is going to be coming so the first time

21:16 I've ever seen any merchandise really

21:17 Toontown stuff as well but they're

21:19 definitely a lot of people crammed in

21:21 this little area and this is after

21:22 trying to get the reservation getting

21:24 the reservation and then getting in the

21:26 queue light for the reservation took

21:28 about 45 minutes to 50 minutes give or

21:30 take and I ended up getting some items

21:32 as I'll show it to you I'll show the

21:33 hall at the very which I have now placed

21:35 in this bag the Disney they gave this

21:37 out on the way in and I'm starting to

21:39 fill it up with different products and

21:40 stuff all right I think I'm gonna get

21:42 some more coffee though starting to get

21:43 get kind of tired all right this is this

21:46 is pretty dangy amazing look at this the

21:50 R2 unit right up there

21:52 that is I have never seen anything like

21:55 that before that is incredible

21:59 all right it is now 5 30. I believe the

22:02 convention for today closes at six so

22:04 we're gonna do a final lap yeah being at

22:06 Portland nights last night and get it

22:08 staying up late editing and all that

22:09 didn't really get a whole lot of sleep

22:11 last night I'm starting to get kind of

22:12 into the dream like all right we've now

22:14 stepped inside the d23 Expo Marketplace

22:18 and this is a real beehive of activity

22:22 and got a Mickey right here I've seen

22:24 quite this is a not so Hidden Mickey

22:26 right here all right this is a pretty

22:28 cool Snow White merchandise right along

22:30 through here like this right here says

22:32 just one bite and over here's some Tron

22:35 we got the 40 Tron pass on the front of

22:38 that one it's the back of the lounge

22:40 flies down here

22:42 let's see if there's anything on the

22:44 back oh yeah there we go the Flynn's

22:45 arcade on the back there as well I got

22:48 some Willow figures over here

22:51 Willow I always remember that from the

22:53 movie

22:59 I got some Star Wars stuff over here as

23:32 this is kind of altered a little bit it

23:34 kind of added some fluffies on the ears
