0:15 Florida. I'm going to take you back to

0:18 1982. Now, it's my second channel, daily

0:24 Woo. If you're a fan of heavy metal or

0:27 if you ever heard of Azie Osborne, then

0:30 you probably know who Randy Rhodess is.

0:34 Some people hail him as one of the

0:35 greatest metal guitar players of all

0:38 time. He played on the first Aussie

0:41 Osborne solo record and toured with

0:43 Aussie Osborne. And there was a tragedy

0:46 that happened right here in Leburg,

0:49 Florida, right around this area.

0:53 a plane wreck that he was involved in

0:55 that killed him, the bus driver, and

0:58 another woman that was on tour with Azie

1:01 and Sharon Osborne and the rest of the

1:03 Aussie Osborne band when they were on

1:05 their way to Orlando, Florida in

1:09 1982. And it happened somewhere over in

1:12 here. There's a lot of news footage

1:14 online. You can just Google the news

1:16 footage, Randy Rhodess crash or death.

1:20 anything like that will bring up news

1:21 footage from ABC, NBC, CBS, all these

1:24 major news stations. It was a pretty big

1:27 story and still is a lot of controversy

1:29 about what really happened that day. But

1:31 I'm going to see if I can show you guys

1:32 the exact spot where the plane took off,

1:35 where the plane hit the bus and hit the

1:38 mansion out here on the property of the

1:41 private

1:42 runway, the private little airport

1:45 outside of Leburg, Florida. So, I'm

1:48 going to mount you right up here. and

1:50 get

1:50 moving. I don't really know where I'm

1:53 going. So, we're just kind of winging

1:55 this. We're kind of winging

1:58 it. Hopefully up here there should be a

2:00 turn in of some sort that will get us

2:03 over to the airport area. I think it

2:06 might actually be right up

2:07 here. Are you a fan of metal music,

2:10 heavy metal music? Are you a fan of

2:12 Aussie Osborne? I know the reality show

2:14 The Osborne's came out and kind of gave

2:17 Aussie like some mainstream publicity,

2:20 but are you a fan of him other than the

2:22 Osborne's TV show? Wait a second. I

2:24 think that's it right over there. I

2:26 think we're almost here. I think this is

2:28 it. I believe the person who owned the

2:30 mansion, it the plane hit the bus and

2:34 veered off to the right, hit the mansion

2:36 in the side of the garage or a little

2:39 side part, burned part of the mansion

2:41 down. It's been

2:43 reconstructed, but I really don't know

2:45 what is left of it. Here we go. Right

3:46 basically is this. They were on tour.

3:49 They stopped over here to get their RV,

3:51 their bus on tour fixed. And Sharon and

3:54 Aussie were still sleeping. And the bass

3:56 player of the band was still sleeping.

3:59 Yeah, this is it. Wait a second. This is

4:04 closed

4:11 off. It's closed off. You can't really

4:11 see

4:12 it. Maybe I can get out of the car. Hey,

4:15 I'm trying to find the the spot where

4:17 Randy Roads was killed. I'm from Orlando

4:20 and I was trying to find where the

4:21 mansion was that the plane hit.

4:27 Is there a way I can go in there? Can I

4:27 just Can I just take some pictures from

4:44 Okay, this is the runway here. Can I

4:47 in. This lady doesn't know I'm filming,

5:17 this. Oh my gosh. That is the actual

5:17 runway where Randy Roads took off. The

5:20 bus driver, they stayed up partying all

5:22 night. So, the story is told. They

5:24 stayed up partying all night long. took

5:27 a plane. I don't know if they they just

5:29 took the plane without asking

5:30 permission. Tried to scare Aussie and

5:32 Sharon in the bus. Three or four swipes

5:35 came by, hit the bus, and ended up

5:38 careening

5:43 into Let me ask her what she's wants me

5:44 to do.

5:52 You drive around them buses. Okay. And

5:52 past the hangers and it's the White

5:54 House down there on the road. So just

5:56 straight down that way. Yeah. Okay. And

5:57 you can kind of after you pass these

5:59 hangers, you can kind of turn right. All

6:01 right. And it's like a taxi way. Pull

6:03 out there a little bit. Okay. Thank you

6:15 So I had to She was very hesitant about

6:21 kind. We mean no harm. All I want to do

6:23 is come out here, take some pictures,

6:26 take a video, and show you guys a little

6:28 bit of history. All right, we got enough

7:02 there. You see where that fountain is?

7:02 Where there's some sort of statue of

7:03 Zeus? That's about where the bus was or

7:07 that's actually where the plane wrecked.

7:08 The bus was over here in this

7:18 field. So, the plane would have swooped

7:18 in three or four times. The fourth time

7:20 I believe they actually were trying to

7:22 scare Ozie and Sharon while they were

7:24 sleeping. The bus nicked the side of the

7:27 airplane or the airplane nicked the side

7:28 of the bus, flew and hit right there.

7:32 See that right there? What I'm pointing

7:33 at? That's where the plane hit,

7:35 disintegrated the plane. All three

7:38 people in the plane were completely

7:39 burned alive. The house pretty much

7:41 burnt down except for the shell. They've

7:42 rebuilt it. But that is the actual

7:45 house. I'm going to drive here to the

7:46 runway and I'm going to do a little

7:48 Uturn. I got to say that lady was very

7:50 kind. So if she ends up watching this

7:52 video, I want to say thank you to you
