0:21 parking lot and walk down there. They

0:23 have Highway 192 completely shut down.

0:29 road, which is Simpson Road. So, I'm

0:32 going to park over here and hoof it down

0:35 to what's happening. Welcome everyone.

0:45 Everyone has to turn, follow these

0:47 cones, and head that way. No one is

0:51 allowed to go towards where the smoke is

0:58 And up top up here, you can see a

1:01 helicopter, a news helicopter there and

1:03 one directly above me as

1:15 well. It's very rare that you see this

1:15 stretch of the road with no cars on it.

1:18 The car that's coming towards me now

1:20 turned off of the little access road

1:22 right here because down there it's

1:25 blocked off as

1:33 well. If you look between the trees, you

1:34 can see the firemen are up on a crane

1:37 shooting the water down. And it looks

1:38 like looks like it's one of the old

1:40 hotels here on the highway. There's a

1:42 lot of news media out here as

1:45 well covering this. Now that I've gotten

1:48 a little closer, I recognize this hotel

1:52 years and years ago. My

1:53 sister worked here as a receptionist.

1:56 That was probably 20 years ago. And then

1:59 the hotel became abandoned. And I did a

2:02 video at this place before it was

2:04 converted over to what is now called the

2:06 UNO U N O. And now this fire has taken

2:10 over

2:11 just right here at Christmas time.

2:21 Looks like they've connected the hose

2:21 into this apartment

2:23 complex across the street and they've

2:25 run it

2:26 across across the road

2:39 there.

3:27 Across the road are a lot of people

3:27 standing around. They have some of their

3:29 stuff with them. They have their pets

3:30 with them. Those are people who lived in

3:34 that hotel. This is about 10 miles from

3:37 Disney. And a lot of tourists, most of

3:40 them when they're visiting here, don't

3:42 stay this far down 192. These are

3:46 usually extended stay places where

3:48 people

3:49 live. It really is sad. Definitely a

3:52 shame that this happens so close to the

3:53 holidays and right at Christmas time.

4:06 Okay, now time for gas. Oh, check that

4:06 out. I never knew this existed. Shack

4:08 foo punch and strawberry and

4:18 pineapple, but I opted for the apple

4:18 juice. I'm still feeling a little bit

4:20 under the weather. Trying to take it

4:22 easy, but I don't have the mindset

4:24 really to sit around and relax. I have

4:27 to force myself to do that even when I'm

4:29 sick. But I'm trying try trying to take

4:32 a bunch of vitamin C medicine, relax,

4:35 chicken soup, not only for the soul, but

4:37 for my mouth and my tummy to make this

4:40 whole thing go away. I don't feel worse,

4:43 which is good. But I don't feel a whole

4:45 heck of a lot better than I did

4:46 yesterday. If I did, maybe it's like

4:48 maybe like one or two% better, which I

4:50 guess is good as long as I'm not getting

4:54 worse and worse and worse. So, I'm going

4:55 to try to take it easy today. Don't hold

4:57 me to that though because I get very

4:59 restless, stir crazy. I can't sit in one

5:03 spot unless I'm sleeping. I have to

5:05 always be doing something. Going through

5:06 some old photos. Here's a photo of me,

5:08 my uncle John, 1979. That's me on the

5:12 right, my uncle John on the left, and

5:14 that's my uncle John right now, and me

5:16 in the mirror. This is a picture of me

5:18 at age two, and I'm sporting a nice

5:21 mushroom on the front of my shirt for

5:22 whatever reason. And then this is a

5:24 picture one week before my sister was

5:27 born. My sister's in my mama's belly.

5:30 This was my I pretending to be Clint

5:32 Eastwood face. This is Christmas 1981 on

5:35 the right. I'm holding my sister next to

5:37 the Christmas tree. And this is my whole

5:39 family. My mom, my dad, my sister, and

5:41 me. There's me. I think that's I think

5:43 that's 1979. So I would have been 5

5:46 years old.

6:02 ended up taking a little bit of a nap.

6:02 Slept for a couple hours. Took some

6:03 Nyquil, which really helped a little

6:06 bit. Not considerably, but I do feel

6:08 better than I did earlier this morning.

6:11 Night has reared its ugly head, and I'm

6:14 going to check out some fireworks to

6:16 close out the evening. Hollywood

6:18 Boulevard looking very festive and not a

6:22 stormtrooper in sight. We have their

6:24 version of the Rocketeers over here

6:26 dancing. Check it out. Their feet are

6:28 moving. They are Christmas ornaments in

6:30 the shape of Minnie Mouse with cute

6:32 little bows. I wonder if they celebrate

6:35 Christmas in the Twilight

6:38 Zone. The Tower of Terror. Are you

6:41 having a holly jolly

6:45 Christmas? I wonder. made with magic. Be

6:48 a part of the show. I guess if you buy

6:49 these Mickey ears, they light up along

6:52 with the fireworks. Similar to World of

6:55 Color at DCA in California. There is a

6:58 very big rumor going around that

6:59 Aerosmith will soon be leaving the Rock

7:02 and Roller Coaster. I don't know what

7:04 they're going to rename it or if this

7:06 rumor is true, but that's what people

7:09 are saying. You ever get that feeling

7:10 where you can't tell if you're getting

7:12 worse or getting better when you're

7:14 sick? That's what I'm feeling right now.

7:16 And I have this weird aura of medicine

7:19 head, but I'm going to stick it out.

7:22 Wait till the fireworks. I'm going to do

7:24 it. Oh, look at the big guy himself

7:29 there. Santa Claus. He's got a lot of

7:32 work to do very

7:35 soon. He's going to be a busy dude. Here

7:38 I am complaining about a little sniffle,

7:40 a sore throat, and a headache. That

7:42 guy's got to deliver packages to all the

7:43 kids in the world. I got to stop

7:45 complaining. Oh my goodness. Look how

7:47 cute this little OogieOogie pillow is.

7:51 And there's Sally down

7:53 here. But Oogie Boogie, he's stealing

7:56 the show. It's been a long time since

7:57 I've been to this park at night. I kind

7:59 of like it, especially this area in

8:02 front of Star Tours, the ADAT. It's very

8:05 quiet and somber without all the halaloo

8:08 of the show that normally happens here.

8:11 looks very ominous in the evening. Up

8:13 until very recently, right here in this

8:16 courtyard area used to sit about 20 or

8:19 30 celebrity statues. Ladies and

8:22 gentlemen, boys and girls, in just 15

8:25 minutes, Disney's Hollywood Studios
