0:05 2022 an already warm
0:08 central florida morning i am not
0:10 drinking a piping high caffeinated
0:12 beverage i'm drinking a water that i
0:14 picked up from the same starbucks where
0:15 i usually get a coffee but decided with
0:17 the water today in fact
0:19 i'm going to try to stop drinking as
0:21 much coffee i'm still going to drink
0:23 probably coffee maybe two coffees a day
0:26 but i feel like i was getting in the
0:27 habit of every single day
0:29 starting off with a coffee but then i
0:31 started
0:32 upgrading to lattes vanilla latte
0:34 hazelnut latte which i still will
0:36 consume but i really want to
0:38 you know not
0:39 constantly be in the habit of drinking
0:41 that many calories first thing in the
0:43 morning which leads me to my next point
0:44 i have been slacking
0:46 more of that in a second inviting you to
0:48 join me on this little talk and
0:50 throughout the course of my day i gotta
0:52 run some errands
0:53 shall you
0:58 and i'm not going to chug this and crush
0:58 the water bottle because i'm going to
0:59 savor the flavor for now
1:01 and i have to admit that i have not
1:04 attained nor come anywhere close
1:07 to the goal that i had originally set at
1:09 the beginning of the year i was doing
1:11 really good at the beginning of the year
1:12 on my weight loss in fact i'm definitely
1:15 not as heavy
1:16 at my heaviest point ever i'm nowhere
1:18 near my heaviest point in my life but i
1:20 thought by this point two weeks
1:23 give or take a day before
1:25 i fly out to atlanta for dragon con
1:28 i was going to be the healthiest and
1:30 most fit i have ever been in probably
1:32 the last decade i have not accomplished
1:34 that goal and i feel unhappy about that
1:37 and i want to do something about that
1:39 now so i'm going to get back on track
1:41 with that now i originally had thought
1:44 that i would be able to not write down
1:47 my goals and not really kind of
1:49 coordinate my efforts as far as seeing
1:51 them visually on a piece of paper like i
1:53 had done in the past but i was wrong so
1:55 among a few other things that i'm going
1:56 to do today purchasing a scale again i
1:59 did this when i was in anaheim a couple
2:01 years ago bought a scale for 100 days
2:04 plus 50 pounds in 100 days so i can see
2:07 how much i had lost each day it kept me
2:09 motivated i got on the scale each
2:11 morning i
2:13 not only saw it with my own eyes but i
2:14 also put it out into the world and it
2:16 really helped keep me motivated i
2:17 thought i could get away with not doing
2:19 that the problem is
2:21 too many cheap days start to creep
2:24 into your you know into your conscious
2:26 into your brain
2:27 when you're not holding yourself
2:29 accountable also
2:31 my camera the canon g7x that i have
2:33 right now has some problems with the
2:34 lens the lens is not closing there is
2:36 some dirt
2:37 and build up on the inside lens that i
2:39 cannot get to and a little kind of a
2:41 little speck that's on there that i
2:43 cannot clean off the top so i'm going to
2:45 purchase a new camera today i have to go
2:47 over to orlando colonial drive best buy
2:49 they have one in stock so i'm gonna head
2:51 over there as well there's a squirrel
2:53 okay the squirrel you know it's funny
2:55 when you try to film a squirrel they
2:56 always go around the back side of the
2:58 tree up there you go hello squirrel
3:00 i was just talking about how you're
3:01 going around not the backside of water
3:02 but the back side of the tree
3:10 see there he goes
3:10 okay so that's what i'm gonna do
3:11 squirrel
3:18 you know it's it's always kind of cruddy
3:18 when you don't
3:20 when you don't accomplish what you think
3:22 you're going to do and you just kind of
3:23 start to slack a little bit i haven't
3:25 been slacking too terribly bad i mean
3:27 i've been doing pretty good
3:30 i haven't been going completely off the
3:31 rails but i have not been sticking
3:34 to what i thought i was gonna do
3:36 so for the next two weeks i'm gonna go
3:38 pretty hard on eating really really
3:40 really well
3:41 i have a gym membership here in town i'm
3:43 gonna start going to the gym each
3:44 afternoon each night i'm trying to miss
3:46 a day i'm going to get in the force of
3:48 that habit and not miss a day on that
3:50 and not
3:51 miss a day on eating well
3:54 so that's my plan
3:56 and i know it might sound redundant
3:58 because it sounds redundant to me as
4:00 well but i think the worst thing than
4:02 redundancy making a statement that i
4:04 have done you know over the last five or
4:06 ten years of my life and sometimes it
4:08 works sometimes it doesn't
4:10 but i think worse than redundancy saying
4:12 i'm going to do something again
4:13 attempting to do something again
4:15 i think the worst thing would be not to
4:17 even try and just give up on it so
4:19 that's where i'm at with this so i just
4:21 want to make that statement
4:23 let me get my car now and drive over to
4:26 orlando
4:27 this theater is still not open
4:29 which is uh which is also kind of a
4:31 bummer
4:32 so back to the future here back in 2008
4:34 a reunion it was the first time i met
4:36 christopher lloyd i met bob gale
4:39 and i started to get my back to the
4:41 future poster side that claudia wells
4:43 who played jennifer parker in part one
4:45 they had the back to the future
4:47 screening across the
4:48 it was a back to future reunion
4:50 as far as i could tell it was probably
4:52 one of the first times that chris lloyd
4:54 did an appearance and signed autographs
4:56 for back to the future and i got his
4:58 autograph inside there
5:01 i kind of wish this theater was back
5:02 open again
5:03 maybe one day there's always rumors and
5:05 murmurings around town so see what
5:07 happens
5:09 all right there's a fountain over there
5:10 always
5:12 effervescently flowing
5:13 yes the sights and sounds of downtown
5:16 celebration
5:17 very quaint and peaceful place to live
5:19 really happy that i moved here
5:32 gotta get rid of the belly
5:32 and the whole thing
5:42 one thing that's always neat about you
5:42 know we're not neat but you know when
5:44 you're filming yourself from this angle
5:46 kind of hold the camera like that make
5:48 yourself look a little more presentable
5:50 but when you see the full body angle it
5:52 really kind of puts thing into
5:53 perspective so i kind of wanted to
5:55 document this too as well just so over
5:56 time i can maybe see the changes so
5:58 basically let's put the camera down here
6:23 but i will give myself a little credit i
6:23 am definitely not as heavy as i as i
6:25 once was but not where i want to be
6:28 got to get rid of this
6:30 got to get rid of the belly and just
6:32 feel feel better i like to feel better
6:35 too
6:36 i think they caught i don't know if
6:37 coffee's like a bad thing
6:39 i think sometimes when you drink way too
6:40 much caffeine throughout the course of
6:41 the day it might not be the healthiest
6:43 thing either
6:45 i'm no doctor

7:07 and i ended up getting it
7:09 again went with the
7:10 powershot g7x mark ii
7:13 i've been thinking about maybe getting
7:15 the mark three and there's a couple
7:16 other
7:17 cameras that other people i know use
7:18 that
7:19 i'm always looking at and thinking maybe
7:21 i should get one of those but i just
7:22 stick with the old reliable
7:25 i like how small this is
7:27 you know you can
7:29 you can either have it on the little
7:30 manfrotto tripod that i use or i want to
7:32 put it in my pocket take it off the
7:33 little mini tripod
7:35 put it in my pocket
7:41 the mark ii the mark iii
7:41 has a camera not camera but a
7:45 microphone input but there's really
7:46 nowhere to mount the microphone so it
7:48 would be kind of gawky so i haven't gone
7:49 with the mark iii plus i i've heard the
7:51 mark iii the focus is even worse than
7:53 the mark ii that would be the one
7:54 negative thing i think about the mark ii
7:56 is you really gotta kind of calibrate it
7:59 and dial it in when you're focusing so
8:01 if i went from here up to here it takes
8:03 a moment to focus i have to kind of tap
8:04 on the screen to to get it sometimes
8:06 i'll edit that out sometimes i'll leave
8:08 it in but that would be my only real
8:10 complaint about the about the mark too
8:11 but
8:12 i like it i go through about one of
8:13 these
8:14 a year give or take you know give or
8:16 take a few months when you use something
8:18 every single day
8:20 it takes a lot of wear and tear and i'm
8:22 really rough on the camera
8:23 you know bounces around a lot throw it
8:25 in the seat take pick it back up take it
8:27 on attractions take it on rides things
8:30 like that i drop it a lot
8:31 it gets a lot of usage so i'm averaging
8:34 about you know one camera a year based
8:36 on the price that's about 50 a month
8:39 give or take
8:40 you know if you take 50 times the 12. it
8:43 kind of comes to about the price of what
8:45 a new one of these is and i have a few
8:48 backups so you know case one i forget
8:50 one i always if i go on a road trip i'll
8:52 i'll take an extra one so i have quite a
8:54 few of these
8:55 you know yeah i'll go i go through them
8:58 pretty often i still have quite a few of
9:01 in my possession but i have a new one
9:02 now
9:03 there it is a little unboxing brand new
9:07 nice and clean untouched
9:10 well i took it out of the box i took it
9:11 out of the box that's been touched from
9:12 there but
9:14 and then obviously when they put it in
9:15 the box
9:17 at the factory comes with the charger
9:20 also comes with an extra battery so i
9:22 got quite a few of those
9:23 i go through these things pretty quick
9:25 too i always try to buy
9:26 extra batteries and sometimes when i
9:28 take three or four into a park or
9:30 somewhere i'll
9:31 i've lost them a couple times so it's
9:33 always good to have extra batteries i do
9:34 have a lot of extra batteries
9:36 so i go through these things pretty
9:38 often while it seems like a lot of money
9:39 it is a lot of money
9:41 but when you kind of boil it down to
9:44 filming every day
9:45 you know it's like a dollar or two a day
9:47 into the kit you know i put aside for
9:49 the camera
9:51 each year to get a new camera
9:52 so it really kind of makes sense i
9:54 figure about a buck buck 50 a day to go
9:56 towards a new camera at the end of every
9:58 year
10:00 again approximately
10:02 every year sometimes it's a year and a
10:03 half sometimes it's eight months
10:06 yeah i really like to i really like this
10:07 one but maybe one day i'll change it up
10:09 and get something different and just a
10:10 couple blocks away
10:11 was a dick's sporting goods i ended up
10:14 getting a few pair of shorts i figured
10:16 if i'm gonna go to the gym more
10:18 frequently probably should get some more
10:20 comfortable workout clothes so got a
10:22 few pair of those down in there
10:25 here at
10:27 sporting goods place
10:28 on colonial drive
10:33 next to the best buy that i got my
10:33 camera
10:35 yeah i got three pairs of shorts a
10:36 little more comfortable than what i have
10:37 on now
10:38 if i'm going to be going more frequently
10:41 why not maybe get me maybe get me in the
10:43 mood a little more and you don't want to
10:45 mesh with these shorts don't mesh
10:48 mash well it's a bad joke because
10:52 they're made of mesh
10:54 dcg are the brand names
10:56 got some gray ones some green ones
10:58 and also some lighter gray
11:01 i guess these are like a darker gray but
11:03 a lighter gray adidas there i got plenty
11:05 of t-shirts i don't need t-shirts
11:12 ah my ash
11:12 i guess if sean connery was saying
11:15 don't mess with something
11:16 don't mash yeah
11:20 all right continue the commute over to a
11:22 super target i didn't say super target
11:24 just a target
11:26 but i believe it's a super target
11:28 because i have a grocery store and
11:29 everything inside of it
11:30 kind of modeled after the old super
11:32 walmarts
11:34 i ended up getting a digital scale here
11:36 i've had one of these before
11:38 but no longer have one this one's up to
11:40 400 pounds so i should i'm under 400
11:43 pounds i should be able to weigh myself
11:45 when i get back to my place
11:47 take this out of the box weigh myself
11:48 and
11:49 jot down on a piece of paper each day
11:51 what i weigh
11:52 at the beginning of every day and this
11:54 is going to be not the beginning of the
11:55 day but
11:56 you know starting tomorrow by myself in
11:58 the morning but i'll weigh myself today
11:59 and start the little clipboard and the
12:01 paper off and
12:03 i also ended up getting six pack of
12:05 water that should make more me a little
12:07 more intelligent
12:09 i'll take one of these with me to the
12:10 gym today so i have a little hydration
12:13 keep in my fridge and then also
12:14 something for my fridge
12:16 yes
12:17 they now sell this on the case
12:20 you know it's pretty tasty water but the
12:22 packaging of it
12:23 is pretty neat it looks almost kind of
12:25 evil
12:27 an evil petting zoo and evil water in
12:30 evil sparkling water
12:32 it almost looks like an alcoholic
12:34 beverage but it's not
12:35 it's water
12:37 got a case of it i'll have this in my
12:38 fridge too boy getting kind of a workout
12:40 holding this thing up
12:45 all right moving on
12:45 i'm going to go home weigh myself now
12:46 there are a couple different options for
12:48 gyms in this area one
12:51 i have a membership too
12:53 one of the other ones is a free gem it's
12:55 a little smaller but the bigger one is
12:57 over here at advent health so starting
12:59 off with this blank piece of paper this
13:00 blank slate if you will
13:03 and this is going to be i'm going to
13:04 etch each morning
13:06 obviously it's a little later in the day
13:07 but each morning i'm going to weigh
13:08 myself
13:10 put the date
13:11 so i'm going to weigh myself now put it
13:12 right next to the august 16th date
13:15 and then as time goes on this paper will
13:16 fill up now when i go out of town
13:18 for most of september
13:21 i'm obviously not going to have to i'm
13:22 not going to have the scale with me
13:24 scales down here on the floor and i have
13:26 it on the
13:28 on the tile or on the
13:30 the floor itself and not a cushiony
13:32 surface because i realized
13:34 that kind of threw off my original
13:36 weight so now i think i have it set
13:37 because i did have it on here and it
13:39 just didn't something was not right it
13:41 was saying i weighed way less than i did
13:42 and then i went to the other room where
13:44 there's also another cushiony surface
13:46 and it was considerably less weight so i
13:49 think you have to have the scale also
13:51 i've taken my shoes off and i'm wearing
13:53 the shorts that i got over here from the
13:57 from the sporting goods store
13:59 so this says 254.8
14:02 but when i do it again it's going to be
14:03 a little bit off so i don't know if this
14:05 is the best scale for me
14:12 okay 254.8 okay maybe we'll go with that
14:12 let me try it one more time third time's
14:13 a charm third time
14:16 for
14:17 the charm
14:23 okay
14:23 254.8 that's what i'm going with
14:26 254.8 so that's what i'm going to write

14:30 i don't know if i like to scale 100 not
14:32 because it's not what i want away
14:34 obviously i want to weigh less than that
14:36 but i'm not sure if this scale is
14:37 completely accurate every time i get on
14:39 it
14:40 but time will tell i'm going to go with
14:41 254. i'll give it one i'll give it a
14:43 fourth try
14:44 wait a few minutes get on it see if it
14:46 cuts up 254.8 again or somewhere in that
14:48 one shift the feet around all right 250

14:52 i'm going with 254 okay now it says

14:57 to put a little question mark after it
15:00 so we'll just see over time you know
15:01 after a week or two

15:14 it like popped up 20 pounds lighter than
15:16 that so i think
15:18 the sensors on the bottom of that
15:21 is what
15:22 ends up weighing you so it needs to be
15:23 on a flat surface a non-cushiony surface
15:27 but again it's not really all about the
15:29 numbers specifically but i do want to
15:30 have this written down
15:32 just so i can i can see some progress it
15:35 helps keep me accountable if that makes
15:36 sense

15:41 not good utilizing my phone now
15:44 didn't bring my bring my camera in here
15:46 got my water here well i've already
15:47 drank half of it but
15:49 got my water and i'm probably one of the
15:50 last people
15:52 on earth to still use a corded
15:54 headphone
15:56 jack that goes into my phone
15:58 and i'm gonna watch the last episode of
16:00 better call saul came out last night i
16:03 have not watched it yet it's like an
16:05 hour and nine minutes
16:06 that entire time i'm gonna be on the
16:08 treadmill inside there and after that
16:10 maybe hit some weights and
16:12 and other
16:13 elliptical machines
16:16 this is a really nice facility actually
16:18 the gym is up on the very top floor and
16:20 the two pools are on the bottom floor
16:22 now also in celebration is another
16:26 gym that does not require membership
16:28 that also has a pool so i'm gonna you
16:29 know
16:30 different times of the day i'm gonna
16:31 kind of curiousness right now it's about
16:32 2 p.m
16:33 shouldn't be too many people in here
16:34 that's kind of why i chose to go to this
16:35 one today but i'll pop over to the other
16:37 one at certain times of day sometimes
16:39 morning sometimes evenings i'm gonna try
16:41 to stay on track each day
16:55 there's also one set so on the other
16:55 side of this there are some
16:58 treadmills on both sides there's
17:00 treadmills all through here so there's
17:01 never any you're never going to be in
17:03 need for
17:04 you know any kind of cardio equipment on
17:06 the other side of this
17:07 kind of wondering if you can see magic
17:08 king number epcot fireworks of course
17:10 you know it's afternoon now so it's not
17:12 going to happen but maybe one day when
17:14 i'm up here at night i wonder if i'd be
17:15 able to see him it's not going to be
17:17 something i film all the time i'm
17:18 showing it today but you know from now
17:20 on i won't be won't be in there i will
17:22 be posting stuff on my instagram

17:27 or tomorrow but
17:29 as time goes on you'll see my little
17:31 workout potion in here and the other gym
17:34 and when i travel hotel gyms as well i
17:36 wanna do this every day i'm gonna i'm
17:38 gonna get back to my

17:41 everyday routine now there is an
17:43 elevator you can take but i figure i'm
17:44 going to a gym why not take the stairs
17:47 at the three flights
17:48 to the top floor just makes sense right
17:51 all right
17:52 did
17:53 65 66 minutes over an hour
17:57 on the treadmill about a
17:58 two percent incline
18:00 and a 3.9 speed
18:02 first stay back at it so didn't go too
18:04 too incredibly hard on it but worked up
18:06 a little bit of a sweat
18:12 yeah i'm gonna try to keep this habit
18:12 going
18:13 i do my best
18:14 eating better
18:16 more cardio
18:17 eating way less a lot more cardio and
18:20 just even better stuff
18:22 and at some point i think i want to
18:23 start hitting up some of the pools
18:25 around celebration
18:27 as well look at the clouds up here
18:29 celebration has a number of pools i can
18:31 use with my residence card that i got a
18:33 few months ago
18:34 there's also
18:36 inside
18:37 this hospital
18:38 inside the gym i was just uh
18:41 there's actually two pools inside there
18:42 too as well there's a heated pool which
18:44 is more of like a recovery pool and
18:46 there's also a swimming
18:48 pool for laps
18:49 i'm more of a waiting kind of guy not
18:51 really like a lap kind of guy i could
18:53 swim but
18:55 i'm just more of a kind of just you know
18:58 lounging around type of swimming but
18:59 maybe i can start doing
19:02 more organized swimming i don't know
19:04 just things that are going through my
19:05 head
19:07 and then hotels have pools too
19:09 so you have some cardio and then hitting
19:11 the pools
19:13 it's all a work in progress and like i
19:14 said this is just day one back at it so
19:17 hopefully i can keep up with it that's
19:18 my plan
19:20 by kind of announcing it and
19:22 putting out into the world
19:25 writing it down it's going to make a big
19:26 difference
19:27 and that's going to do it for today

19:36 for the quite a few times of my life
19:38 that i have made announcements like this
19:41 i try it again
19:42 i feel good about it yesterday went over
19:45 my parents house
19:46 and had dinner with my mom and dad and
19:48 my mom said have you been going to the
19:50 gym you've been doing the gym thing i
19:52 started making excuses about didn't want
19:54 to drive over
19:55 to said gym
19:57 gyms there's a couple in the
19:59 in the area
20:00 you know just kind of making excuses and
20:02 i woke up this morning i started to
20:04 think about it i gotta stop making
20:05 excuses gotta
20:07 i just gotta make it part of my routine
20:10 everything i do is a routine whether it
20:12 is something good
20:14 that you know feeding my face with good
20:16 food
20:17 or eating things that are bad if i get
20:20 on the routine of going to a certain
20:22 fast food place or
20:23 a certain establishment where they have
20:25 something i shouldn't be eating if i get
20:27 into that routine it just becomes a
20:28 habit if i can develop a good habit
20:30 start of the year i think i did 40 i
20:33 think it was 40. it might have been 50
20:34 but i think it was 40 days
20:36 in a row where i was on the road
20:38 traveling and i was doing the treadmill
20:40 every night and i lost a considerable
20:42 amount of weight just eating a little
20:43 bit better and doing that so i'm going
20:44 to get back on that bandwagon and try
20:46 that again it's all for me the way it
20:48 works for me it's all about habits and i
20:50 can create a habit very very quickly
20:52 right now
20:54 try to get back on this habit i'll see
20:55 the next video
20:57 the vlog
20:58 these look kind of unusual with the cord

21:03 gotta love

21:11 it feels like i'm still walking my legs
21:11 kind of feel like mush right now
21:14 66 minutes on the treadmill moving at a
21:16 pretty brisk pace i wasn't running but i
21:17 was moving pretty quick i was just
21:19 working up a little bit of a sweat
21:21 it feels like i'm still moving feels
21:22 like this is the treadmill
21:24 like it feels like i'm still
21:26 still walking also the better call saw
21:28 ending
21:31 i don't know if i loved it
21:33 i love better call saw love breaking bad
21:36 love those shows
21:37 i don't know if it was a climactic
21:39 ending like i expected
21:40 wasn't bad
21:42 tied up a lot of loose ends and i'm glad
21:44 it ended the way it did
21:47 jimmy mcgill saul got what he deserved
21:49 but yeah i was kind of expecting
21:51 something a little more climactic and
21:53 one other good thing about going on a
21:55 treadmill if i could do an hour every
21:56 day i think it'll be easy for me to get
21:59 back on that
22:01 on that tr on that
22:02 i don't say is that off the wagon or on
22:04 the wagon get on it get on that workout
22:06 train by doing
22:08 treadmill or any kind of elliptical
22:10 every day because there's a lot of shows
22:12 like i watch the show today
22:14 for that hour there's a lot of shows i
22:16 need to watch that i just do not have
22:17 time because when i am out and about or
22:19 when i mean i'm home i'm doing other
22:21 stuff
22:22 so i need to be
22:24 stationary for an hour
22:27 and i think that's going to be good
22:28 because there's so many shows and movies
22:31 that i need to watch i still haven't
22:32 finished the i still haven't finished
22:34 the last episode the last season
22:36 of stranger things so i'm going to do
22:37 that over the next series of days i'm
22:39 gonna get through stranger things
22:41 so i'm gonna do an hour on ellipticals
22:43 and treadmills and things like that for
22:45 an hour every day and just come up with
22:47 an hour of
22:49 tv watching or movie watching i can
22:51 watch a half a movie one day half the
22:53 movie the next time
22:57 i still haven't decided on the time
22:57 frame when i'm going to do this h and
22:59 i'm not going to film it anyway just
23:01 thinking out loud
