0:18 here. It's good to be back. It's been a

0:21 minute since I've been at Walt's

0:22 original Magic Kingdom, which is gearing

0:25 up for its se almost 60th. The 60th

0:29 anniversary of Diamond Celebration was

0:31 in 2015 when I first moved to Orange, a

0:35 few miles that direction here in Orange

0:37 County, California. The town, the city,

0:39 the Orange Circle. It's been a decade

0:42 ago. Diamond celebration was amazing.

0:45 70th anniversary kicks off in a few

0:47 months. July 17th being the official

0:50 official date, but a month or two prior

0:52 to that, they're kicking off with

0:54 festivities. But I've heard that

0:56 merchandise is in there, and they're

0:58 already starting to kind of pepper in

1:00 some of the pre70th anniversary stuff.

1:03 Going to meet up with a good buddy of

1:04 mine. We're going to grab a coffee and

1:06 just see where the de the day leads here

1:09 at Disneyland. I'm inviting you, yes

1:11 you, to join me. Shall you? Park opens

1:14 in 2 minutes. I guess I'm about as I now

1:16 that I've gotten into the espanol. I'm

1:17 about as close to rope drop as you can

1:18 get without actually being on the rope

1:22 on Main Street. Pretty close to rope

1:24 drop, but I guess not technically, but

1:26 pretty dang close. Park open today. Our

1:28 temperature 57°. I thought about

1:30 bringing the jacket that I got when I

1:32 was in South Korea, but left it in the

1:34 hotel room. It's going to get up to 64

1:36 by 2, so it's going to be 7° warmer. And

1:38 I'm not uncomfortable right now, so I

1:40 think I'll be all right. They got a new

1:42 system for entering the park. They still

1:44 scan me in, but yeah, new system.

1:49 Oh, it's good to be back, Disneyland.

2:01 back. Oh yes, perfect timing as the

2:01 train arrives. Topiary Mickey right

2:05 Couple minutes past 8. They're just

2:07 finishing the rope drop announcements on

2:08 the other side of the train station.

2:15 Think I'm going to go sit up at the top

2:15 of the train station. My favorite spot,

2:18 a little overlook down Main Street, USA

2:22 here in Anaheim. Just just wait for my

2:25 friend up there. And then we're going to

2:27 get hopefully well most likely be the

2:29 first line of the day will be the

2:30 Starbucks line to get to get coffee and

2:33 then we'll just figure it out from

2:34 there. Don't really have a game plan.

2:37 Probably hit some of the classic

2:38 attractions. He's a classic Disneyland

2:40 guy, kind of like I am. Likes a lot of

2:42 the older stuff, the original stuff. So,

2:46 we'll see see where the day leads. We'll

2:52 here. I'm in the Emporium now. Checking

2:54 out some merchandise. I really like this

3:15 recently rewatched Peter Pan. She is uh

3:17 Tinker Bell's not a nice not a not a

3:20 nice uh pixie at all. Seeing the first

3:22 70th here, a little spirit jersey here.

11:49 it's about half the length. I don't know

11:52 distance-wise or time-wise, but I would

11:54 say probably twice the length and a lot

11:56 more

11:57 scenes in the Anaheim version. I just

12:00 like the Anaheim version better, much

12:02 the Disney World version. If you ever

12:04 get a chance, if you you're into the

12:06 Disney World version to go to Anaheim

12:08 and ride the Anaheim one. Definitely

12:10 recommend it. Just something something

12:13 about it. It's the

12:14 original. Scars are tattoos with better

12:17 stories.

14:24 the top off and now it's here in front

14:26 of the actual queue. Well, is this this

14:34 Haunted Mansion. New Orleans Square

14:37 edition. Different than Walt Disney

14:39 World facade. Oh, yes. just saw the

14:49 unlike WDW which is has the effect.

14:52 We're now going, we're now gone down a

14:54 level. We're going into the hallway. Ah,

16:29 a whole new lore with the candalabra and

16:31 the new bride and all that. And also,

16:34 Madam Leota's Somewhere Beyond store has

16:37 opened since the last time I have been

16:39 here. So, we're going to head inside.

16:41 This is pretty cool. You got the crystal

16:43 ball right there. Does Leota end up Does

17:25 there forever. That's the one I'll

17:26 always remember as the mansion gift

17:27 shop, which has mansion stuff in it as

17:30 well. But now there's this one. Madam

17:32 Leotaas, somewhere beyond. I didn't even

17:34 realize that. Jay was saying that this

17:36 building here, there was a fire or

17:38 something. They end up tearing that

17:39 building down next to the train station

23:09 good rides. We hit like quite a few

23:11 pretty quick. We got here early, knocked

23:13 them out, hit some key ones.

23:34 Disney. Hoping one day that they will

23:36 have these in a little bit bigger sizes.

23:38 I have a kind of a big noggin. It was

23:40 like the Donald one, but I whenever I

23:43 use these kind of hats, I have to clamp

23:45 them onto the last one. But I've never

23:47 seen a Disney World. I don't know if

23:49 I've seen the Olaf one. There's an Olaf

23:51 one down there as well. The Olaf one's

23:54 kind of neat, but I think out of all of

23:56 them, I'd probably get the Donald one or

23:59 the Goofy one, but they fit my head very

24:02 well. They fit, but they're just like a

24:03 little too snug. Here's another

24:04 Disneyland 70th. This is specific for

24:07 Magic Key holders. It's basically

24:09 Disneyland's version of an annual

24:11 passholder. I didn't see that in the

24:12 emporium, but I would imagine as it gets

24:15 a little closer to the 70th that a lot

24:16 more merchandise will be put out. Right

24:18 now, kind of slim pickings. Oh, look,

24:20 another Montreal going by over there

24:22 above the fountain over past the Aspen,

24:25 which I'm walk out back to the harbor

24:26 side. You're welcome,

24:35 Disneyland. It's hard to see that with

24:35 the sun. It says, "Thank you for

24:36 visiting.

26:01 others. Just seems like the Diamond

26:03 Celebration 60th anniversary was only

26:06 yesterday, but it's almost 10 years ago.

26:08 It's almost a decade ago. Where the heck

26:09 does the time go? It's amazing how much

26:11 nostalgia I have just the brief time of

26:15 being in SoCal. First time I ever

26:17 visited SoCal, I think it was 2013 and

26:19 then I moved here January of

26:28 15 to the next town over outside

26:28 Anaheim. Well, a couple towns over to

26:31 Orange. I also lived in Anaheim for a

26:34 couple years. Lived in

26:36 Hollywood couple years.

26:44 fond memories of the greater LA area and

26:44 Disneyland. Love, love Disneyland.

26:46 Always have a soft spot for

26:49 Disneyland. And when I'm able to, I'll

26:51 pop in. I always have a annual

27:01 pass. And that's going to do it for

27:01 today.

27:04 Interested to see

27:05 how the jet lag will be the next day or

27:08 so. Didn't get a lot of sleep last

27:10 night. Very little sleep. I took a

27:12 little catnap and then I got up at like

27:14 2:00 a.m. early this morning. Been up a

27:19 while. But I think over the next few

27:21 days I think I'll be okay. I think it's

27:23 probably would I think it probably will

27:25 hit me more or did hit me more. Oh,

27:29 here did hit me more in Korea than it

27:33 would be here. Now I'm kind of back on
