0:02 During the summer, this was a hot spot
0:02 known as Water
0:17 mania. All the water flowed into all the
0:18 water attractions over here. We're going
0:19 to go find remnants
0:26 of. How's it going?
0:26 Not really sure what this was used for,
0:28 but it's pretty
0:37 amazing. It's a very heavy gawky piece
0:37 of machinery. Looks like it may have
0:39 been to carry water or something of that
0:41 sort. You know what this is? If you
0:43 worked out here or if you have an
0:47 educated guess, let me know. I'm
0:49 curious, just like you.
0:52 Subscribe to my videos and email me. Off
0:56 I go now into the back entrance where
0:59 the employees entered Water
1:21 Mania and chain link still here. All
1:21 destroyed, of
1:39 course. For all you souvenir hunters, I
1:42 got myself a water mania brick. Right
1:45 over in this area here is where the big
1:47 chipper mini golf area was. Uh, you can
1:50 see there's a little cone, parking cone
1:52 here that was used probably in the
1:53 miniature golf course. And if we venture
1:55 over this way, a little more
1:58 proof. Hole number 17
2:01 sign. I pulled it up out of the ground
2:03 so you could see it a little bit better.
2:06 Hole number 17. You can actually see
2:09 part of the miniature golf course there.
2:11 The blue
2:12 rug. All kind of memories out here
2:15 proving that there was once a water
2:17 park. You wouldn't know it, of course,
2:19 unless you just were as dumb as I am to
2:22 walk around through this
2:24 mess. Coming up on a couple other little
2:27 piles of concrete from the old pools and
2:31 stuff that were dug up. Here's a pretty
2:33 fantastic
2:34 find. Big thick pipe leading into the
2:37 ground right above these sewage grates.
2:42 This is a really awesome find. Some
2:44 sewage grates out here in the middle of
2:46 nowhere.
2:48 Also got a few more remnants of picnic
2:51 tables that have been destroyed over
2:52 time. Check out this bad boy. Old school
2:56 picnic table been dismantled. If you
2:58 look right underneath these leaves, you
3:00 can see a sidewalk that comes to right
3:02 here and then breaks apart. Probably ran
3:05 straight along there. You see my tripod
3:07 laying down there and went straight off
3:09 that way. But underneath all these
3:12 leaves, it's all concrete.
3:16 parts of another picnic table. The thing
3:19 I find fascinating, it might not look
3:21 like much now, but at one time there
3:23 were families out here on
3:25 vacation. Kids and parents eating
3:27 together, having a good time, having the
3:29 time of their lives. Check it out.
3:33 Now, I'm going to go check out the wave
3:44 pool. Look at the size of this pipe.
3:44 Used to be a big giant wave pool right
3:46 back there. This is all that's left of
3:48 the wave pool area.
3:55 Definitely a area of the park that
3:55 always had a lot of
4:04 visitors. All the remnants of the wave
4:06 poolool brick and concrete are all piled
4:08 up there. All in this massive pile of
4:12 debris with grass growing over it. Look
4:13 at the piles of debris of all the old
4:16 pools. Crushed up slides and pools. Lots
4:20 of memories in those piles there. If you
4:22 look at this big slab of concrete here,
4:25 got a little personal memory would lead
4:28 into the wave poolool. I remember in
4:30 1991 or '92 came out here with my family
4:34 and my little sister at that time. She's
4:36 still my sister, but she was little
4:38 sister then.
4:40 She wanted to be on the Buckaroo Bob
4:42 show. There was a character named
4:44 Buckaroo Bob who filmed a TV episode out
4:48 here at the front of the wave
4:51 poolool and she was on TV. We never got
4:54 to see it, but she lives on forever in
4:57 Buckaroo Bob history
5:01 right here on this slab of
5:10 concrete. Here's a deep
5:10 pit. If you look straight down, see how
5:14 deep that goes out
5:21 here? One of my favorite things out here
5:24 at the old water mania was the screamer.
5:27 It was very, very tall, sky high almost.
5:31 You would climb to the top and you would
5:33 go straight down. You'd get to the
5:35 bottom and you'd have the biggest wedgie
5:36 of your life. Almost every water park
5:39 has them, but Water Mania's version was
5:42 the
6:04 scream. It's kind of in the wooded area
6:04 out here and it smells very bad. Anyway,
6:08 you can see a lot of bricks
6:11 and sort of pipe
6:17 here. So, anyway, back to that smell.
6:21 Smells like some sort of large
6:23 animal died out here and it's pretty
6:27 disgusting. Head back the other
6:30 way. Puke out here. drove up or
6:33 something. It's very nasty.
6:48 There you have it. The old water mania
6:48 in CMI. Water mania.
