It's not Mountain Dew, but win in Rome.
0:23
Is it just me or is the helmet he's
0:25
holding huge in comparison to his body?
0:30
Set.
1:11
ball. Welcome everyone. Adam the woo
1:11
here. Got to make a delivery if I can
1:13
get this tripod ah to stand up straight.
1:17
It's my second channel. Daily vlog
1:19
channel. It's a daily woo.
1:37
I am a fan not only of interesting
1:37
places but also interesting people. And
1:39
it just so happens the place I'm heading
1:42
now has both of those subjects. There is
1:45
a gentleman that lives out here in the
1:46
middle of nowhere in Tennessee that is
1:49
building a castle by hand by himself and
1:53
he's been doing it for well over 20
1:56
years. And I'm going to check in and see
1:59
how he's
2:06
doing. There it is. It's still here.
2:06
Look at that.
2:14
This is
2:14
absolutely
2:15
incredible. Look at this. There is a
2:18
castle just sitting here in the woods in
2:29
Tennessee. And there's some newspaper
2:29
clippings and articles from
2:32
magazines about Junior and why and how
2:38
he started building this castle. Some
2:41
have called it the fortress of
2:44
faith. Castle creation. How you doing,
2:47
sir? Pretty good. I came in to check in
2:50
on you. Adam Junior. I was here on a
2:54
rainy, cold, wet day about four years
2:56
ago. And I made a video. I'm making a
2:59
video now. And I got some stuff in the
3:01
back of the van for you if you could use
3:02
it.
3:14
I'll hide the I'll hide the shovel
3:14
because the grownups won't bother saying
3:16
the kids run off. I'll take it up here
3:17
in a minute, you know. Yeah. Hide it
3:19
somewhere. If you need to use it, use
3:20
it. So, how many days a week are you out
3:22
here working? Well, seven of them I can
3:25
if I can get the energy 70 and you So,
3:27
you're out here probably 8 10 hours a
3:29
day probably. Well, I get up try to get
3:31
three and a half to four in the morning.
3:32
Okay. Three and a half. Come back about
3:34
4:00 and work the dark and that's
3:36
another four. That's eight hours a day.
3:37
But yeah, four about four or five in the
3:39
middle of the day. I have to rest the
3:40
old lady. So you're putting about
3:42
probably 40 50 hours a week into this
3:43
thing at least. Pretty close. Seven to
3:45
eight hours a day and you only seven
3:47
days a week. Fork in the road.
3:49
Is that what you call this? The fork in
3:51
the road. So you take these beer bottles
3:53
and you turn it into the wall. Basically
3:55
you build it into a wall. Yeah. With the
3:59
crosses and turn something bad into
4:01
something good. So you put the bottles
4:02
down. Is it What is it? Is this
4:03
concrete? Yeah. Well, there should be
4:06
one or two more right here that there
4:07
must of concrete. But I'll lay a row of
4:09
concrete, you know, here, here, and
4:11
here. And the next bottle go over here.
4:14
See the one missing here, but he'll go
4:16
high. And just keep going up with as
4:19
high as you want to. Just stack it up.
4:27
Yeah. Come on in. Welcome to the house.
4:27
All right.
4:29
Temple. And if you would, super brave
4:32
here. They brought me these. And there's
4:34
your guest book. Yeah. Now look at this.
4:36
It says she put here January the 1st.
4:37
Now, keep in mind it's been awful hot
4:38
here. This thing would I want you to
4:40
look here. Wow. January 1st, go the
4:44
first page of where it says, "Happy New
4:45
Year's." And you'll see people from
4:48
California, Maryland, Canada. There's a
4:50
view out the window. That's basically
4:52
the
4:58
inside the walls of the castle. And I'm
4:58
in this
5:00
room that's upstairs.
5:03
You can see he's built a staircase
5:06
leading up to
5:26
it. I just think it's fascinating that
5:26
he built this whole place by himself, by
5:30
hand. and some other people have showed
5:33
up and he's, you know, showing some of
5:35
the things, the interesting things here
5:37
in the castle. People stop here all the
5:39
time on road trips. Like everywhere you
5:42
look, there is something else you miss
5:45
that's interesting. Like look at this.
5:47
The little
5:49
Nile. I'm assuming at one point there
5:51
was like a water stream going through
5:54
there, like a river. Lots of different
5:57
rooms through here. Whoa, look at this.
6:02
I forgot about this
6:55
I love these chairs. Concrete chairs.
6:55
Look at all these rocks that are just
6:57
stuck here in the
7:00
concrete. Arrowheads,
7:03
sticks, all kind of stuff. And the pet
7:05
cemetery is still here. Billy the goat,
7:10
Wolfman. All these are dogs, cats, and
7:13
animals that he has had throughout his
7:14
life that passed away, and he has buried
7:17
them right next to the castle.
7:26
Looks like at one point there was going
7:26
to be a walkway over the
7:29
castle and this section has not been
7:32
completed
7:33
yet. Here's the front view of that
7:36
walkway I was just
7:38
showing. It's pretty freaking cool.
7:40
Since I'm the guest, I get the throne
7:42
seat, right? Yeah, you got that right.
7:43
If you're two point like you're giving
7:45
orders when you go
7:47
be gone. There you go. This is great.
7:50
You ever just come up here and just hang
7:51
out in these seats? This lady used to
7:53
come here, you know, and she'd bring the
7:55
people with them. But, uh, well, I
7:58
better hold up on that. They still what
7:59
she sit up on here make smoke
8:02
marijuana. Bless her heart. Thing is,
8:04
they'd come up here just for daylight,
8:06
you know, and the guys would scatter
8:07
around. Yeah. And she'd smoke here.
8:10
She'd sit there and just smoke away, you
8:12
know, and I just This is super cool.
8:14
Heidi when I come because, you know, I
8:16
would put up with that. So, what year
8:18
did you start doing this building this?
8:20
It's a It's See, I'm 70 and I've been
8:23
working at 23 years come December. So, I
8:26
guess it' be 93, would you? Huh? So, you
8:28
were 47 when you started? Yeah. You
8:30
started when you were 47, you're 70 now.
8:32
Yeah. So, that'd be what? 23 years. Come
8:35
years. That's amazing. I don't know
8:38
where I ever told you, but my thumb
8:39
prints went through every brick and
8:41
stone. I ain't got I got a groover, but
8:43
I'm 90. I keep laying it down. I'm up
8:46
high on the ladder. And I started doing
8:47
that. Can you tell? Look at over there.
8:50
Millions of brick. And I still got my
8:52
thumb prints. I think
8:54
Yeah, that time went through a million
8:56
stone. Even the ones in the door went
8:59
through that. We talking about semen,
9:00
man. I mean, not play-doh. All righty. I
9:05
tell you, I appreciate you, man. Now you
9:07
No, I appreciate the time. I appreciate
9:08
you uh showing me around again. I'm glad
9:10
you're still at it. Well, I'm glad I'm
9:13
glad you're here and I'm glad to see
9:14
you're family and if you miss me, you
9:16
make yourself at home. If you find my
9:18
I'll give you a tro. All right, sounds
9:20
good. All right, I appreciate it. See
9:21
you, Junior. Super nice guy. I think
9:24
it's really cool that people have
9:26
passions. Whatever their motive is,
9:28
whatever the reasoning is behind it. I
9:31
think it's cool that people find
9:33
something they're passionate about and
9:35
they do it. And that's why places like
9:37
that interest me. Not because of, you
9:39
know, the religious implications or the
9:42
thought process of what people have
9:44
towards him. Just the fact that he is
9:47
doing something and is passionate about
9:49
something and who can deny the
9:52
awesomeness of a castle in the middle of
9:55
the middle of Tennessee. So
10:07
awesome. Check out what I found. There's
10:07
some concrete there underneath that
10:09
grass. And straight ahead, look at that.
10:12
There is an old drive-in movie theater
10:15
screen. So, I'm guessing all of this
10:18
used to be where the car is parked and
10:20
you will watch the
10:22
movie right
10:35
there. That's where I am right there.
10:36
Right where that star is. You got to
10:37
love rest stops. And the interesting
10:39
thing is, as much as I travel, I've
10:41
started to notice in certain areas of
10:42
the country, a lot of rest stops are
10:45
closing down. Now I'm in route to
10:48
Chattanooga, Tennessee. Got a pretty
10:51
good ways to go. And there's really not
10:53
a whole heck of a lot between here and
10:56
there. So, I'm just hitting the old
10:59
highway or freeway or interstate. And
11:02
this is an interstate. So, it'll be on
11:04
this road for a while before arriving
11:06
Chattanooga.
11:09
Going
11:10
up straight up. Whoa, look at this guy
11:13
on this bicycle. He's coming down.
11:16
Coming down fast. I have continuously
11:18
been going up for about 2 miles. We're
11:22
up here. Definitely at a pretty high
11:24
elevation.
11:26
Whoa, look at
11:27
that. That is
11:31
incredible. Imagine living up here. Like
11:34
if you lived in this house. That would
11:36
be
11:45
cool. That view is something
11:45
else. Chattanooga. Oh, by the way, I
11:48
still have the glasses and I have a
11:50
story to tell you about them. If you
11:51
recall, a couple days ago, I put these
11:53
exact glasses over on the AdamWoo eBay
11:55
page, and I started them at under a
11:57
dollar. I start all my auctions at 88.
12:00
And I'm here to announce I will no
12:02
longer be putting any more auctions up
12:05
on eBay for this reason. There are
12:08
people in this world who are on a
12:09
mission to sabotage things. Once I put
12:12
the auction up, it started getting a lot
12:14
of bids. And then it started getting
12:16
more and more and more bids, which
12:19
really struck a chord with me thinking,
12:21
why are so many people bidding so much
12:24
money on these glasses? And I started to
12:27
notice that a lot of the bidders were
12:30
people with zero feedback on eBay and
12:33
had started their accounts within the
12:34
last few days. Meaning they were just
12:37
starting the accounts to bid the item up
12:40
either in a good way or in a negative
12:43
way. So what I did is once the auction
12:46
reached a certain point, an astronomical
12:49
amount of money which no one would ever
12:52
pay, I started to delete the fake eBay
12:55
accounts. But there was one bidder who
12:57
had enough feedback and had been on eBay
13:00
long enough. It made me think that they
13:02
were a legitimate eBayer and they were
13:05
interested in the glasses. So I did not
13:07
delete that account and that came back
13:11
to kick me in the rear because they won
13:14
the auction and within an hour or two of
13:17
them winning the auction they left me
13:19
negative feedback. This is very
13:22
discouraging.
13:24
There are so many negative people out
13:25
there and I always try to look at things
13:27
as a glass half full instead of a glass
13:30
half empty. The good aspects is I get to
13:33
keep the glasses. The bad aspects, no
13:35
more Adam the Woo eBay auctions for a
13:38
number of reasons. eBay if you cancel an
13:40
auction will still charge you 3 to 5% of
13:43
the auction fee even if fake biders bid
13:46
it way astronomical. Secondly, because
13:49
people see how much an auction goes to,
13:52
they assume that people really are going
13:55
to pay for what they are bidding. And
13:57
people look at me like, "What are you
13:59
going to do with that much money? Why
14:00
are you selling these items for so much
14:03
money?" And I do not feel comfortable
14:05
people think I'm getting that much money
14:07
for something when in reality they're
14:10
fake bids. The auctions are not going
14:11
for that much. So, I'm going to do away
14:13
with eBay altogether. So, no more eBay.
14:16
I'm keeping the glasses. And we're
14:18
carrying on. Carry on my wayward son.
14:22
There'll be vlogs when you are done. Get
14:26
out there and film the best footage you
14:28
can find. Don't worry about the little
14:32
things.
