Welcome everyone, Adam the Woo here. I'm
0:03
coming to you from what I've
0:04
unactionally been calling this whole
0:06
area Tornado Alley. I am now in
0:09
Marceline, Missouri, which is the
0:11
boyhood home of Walt Disney. He grew up
0:15
right here on these streets. The tornado
0:17
alley thing I'm talking about is
0:19
Oklahoma and Kansas. The whole area I've
0:21
been driving through the last few days
0:23
has been brutal. Oklahoma yesterday got
0:26
pounded by tornadoes. Kansas. The day
0:28
before I stayed in Kansas in a hotel and
0:30
narrowly escaped a tornado, but that's a
0:33
whole other story I don't want to get
0:34
into. What I want to get into now is
0:37
this is Main Street USA right here. The
0:39
original Main Street USA. It's my second
0:43
channel, daily vlog channel. Disregard
0:45
the overcastness and concentrate on the
0:48
magical world of Walter Disney. He grew
0:52
up right here on these streets. Right
0:54
here. It's the original Main Street USA.
0:57
Don't believe me? Look at
1:00
this. Main Street USA. It's the Daily
1:04
Woo. Have you ever been to Disneyland or
1:06
Walt Disney World and when you're
1:08
walking towards the castles at either
1:10
park, you see the sides of it and it
1:13
says Main Street, USA? Well, that was
1:15
based on something. It was based on this
1:18
right here. When Walt Disney was a
1:20
child, this was always a magical area
1:23
where all the people, all the people
1:24
were out here having a good time. The
1:26
parades all happened right in here. All
1:28
the businesses were selling all the
1:30
fantastic things that stuck in his
1:32
memory. So when he got older and he
1:34
created the theme park, he always
1:36
remembered this stretch of area, Main
1:39
Street, USA. And they actually have
1:42
signs that they put up right there. Main
1:44
Street USA to honor their hero from
1:48
here, their favorite son, Walt Disney.
1:51
Man, my hair is pretty wild. Pretty
1:53
crazy. Like I said, it's very overcast.
1:56
The tornadoes have been wreaking havoc
1:58
with this area of the country.
1:59
Hopefully, you're safe. If you are safe
2:01
and you're watching this, I hope you
2:02
enjoy this video. If you're not able to
2:04
watch the video, I still hope you're
2:06
safe from the storms. you and your
2:07
family are staying safe in this time of
2:10
havoc across the Midwest. It's scary
2:12
stuff. I do not envy anybody cuz I dealt
2:15
with it the other day and it was scary.
2:17
Anyway, back to Walt Disney's
2:21
original Main Street USA. This is
2:23
awesome. Look at
2:24
that. Just picture a castle at the end
2:27
down there. That's pretty much all you
2:28
got to do is just picture a castle down
2:30
at the end of the road and you would
2:33
have one of the fantastic Disney theme
2:36
parks.
2:37
It was all based on this road.
2:40
Marceline. They even have a sign saying
2:42
Marceline. You got to wonder if any of
2:44
these these original buildings were
2:46
here. Any of these original
2:47
signs were here back in the day.
2:50
Probably not. This over here almost
2:51
looks original though. Look how old
2:53
school that is. That was probably here.
2:55
That building when Walt Disney walked
2:57
these streets of brick.
3:06
I'm going to try to keep quiet from now
3:06
on and just let you enjoy Main Street,
3:09
USA.
3:42
pretty awesome stuff. It's actually
3:42
about a two or three block radius. We're
3:44
going to continue on down to the end.
3:47
There's actually a park. I'm going to
3:48
show you that park as well. Hopefully,
3:50
we can make it there in time for this
3:52
vlog blog time limit. I usually try to
3:55
keep it around 5 to 7 minutes. Anything
3:57
more than that becomes annoying. I know
3:59
you guys are pretty annoyed with a lot
4:00
of the incoherent ramblings that I give
4:02
you. This one might go a little longer
4:04
than normal. Who knows? Back to Main
4:06
Street USA. The original Main Street
4:09
USA. Look at this. The Uptown
4:12
Theater. A lot of Walt Disney history
4:15
happened right over there. Here, let's
4:17
jump across the road. Come on. Let's run
4:20
across Pain Street.
4:46
there. Go back across this way. Got to
4:46
look both ways before we cross the road.
4:53
There's actually a sign in this window.
4:53
The one of the original signs welcoming
4:55
you to Marceline. Look. Welcome to
4:59
Marceline,
5:00
Missouri. Boyhood home of Walt
5:08
Disney. City Hall over here. Look at
5:08
that. It's the original city
5:30
So, here you have it from the alternate
5:30
view. This end
5:33
view right there, Main Street, USA. And
5:35
of course, it dumps out in this
5:38
park. Has the old trains, the old Santa
5:41
Fe trains.
5:47
This gazebo up here was actually used as
5:47
an influence, one of the original Disney
5:49
cartoons. If you guys know what Disney
5:52
cartoon that gazebo is the influence
5:54
for, leave a comment below. Disney
5:57
nerds, do some googling if you're not a
5:59
Disney nerd. Become a Disney nerd
6:02
vicariously right now through us. Become
6:04
a Disney nerd. Be a Disney nerd with us.
6:07
Speaking of trains, here comes a train.
6:21
It's pretty fantastic out here in
6:21
Marceline. If you ever come out here to
6:23
Marceline, definitely check out Main
6:26
Street, USA. Welcome to Marceline. I was
6:29
actually out here about 5 or 6 months
6:31
ago. Way over on the outskirts of town
6:33
is Walt's Dreaming Tree and Walt's Barn.
6:35
I'm going to put the link down below for
6:37
when I visited Walt's Dreaming Tree and
6:39
his barn. Pretty fantastic stuff.
6:41
There's also a museum over there for
6:43
Walt Disney. It's closed right now, but
6:46
hopefully next time I come out here,
6:47
I'll be able to see it. Every time I
6:49
pass through here, I always stop off in
6:52
Marceline. Pay my respects to Walt.
6:54
Thanks for watching, everybody. Check
6:55
down below for my t-shirts. Please
6:57
subscribe all around and stay safe in
6:58
this tornado region. Goodbye.
