0:35 terrifying. We should probably leave

0:37 here and go find the safer locations

1:35 What happened last night? He would have

1:35 woke up right down there and you can

1:36 tell a lot of the scenery has changed.

1:38 The trees, a lot of them have been

1:40 burned because over 15 years a lot of

1:41 fires have swept through

1:49 here. Burn trees. But in the scene where

1:50 Jake Gyllenhaal wakes up at the bottom

1:51 of that little road right there at the

1:54 threshold of his feet is one of these

1:55 yucka style

2:17 nap in the mountains, he rides to his

2:19 home into town. Right along this

2:21 sidewalk that Justin is walking. In

2:23 fact, you can actually see that tree

2:25 that's leaning in is the same tree. And

2:27 directly behind me is the Middle Sex

2:30 sign right here. And Donnie rides his

2:33 bike directly that way and towards his

2:36 home. Pretty cool.

3:10 As you can see, they've remodeled the

3:10 house a lot. They've removed the upper

3:13 balcony area, changed all this window

3:16 pattern, and right here is where the

3:18 path leading into the house was. That's

3:20 where Donnie would have ridden his bike,

3:22 cast his bike onto the ground. Right

3:24 here where this shrub is, is where he

3:27 would have thrown his bike down and

3:28 walked into the side of the house.

3:43 Does that look familiar? That right

3:43 there is Donnie Darko's room. When he

3:46 has the dream, the lights turn on and he

3:49 listens to every word that Frank says.

4:14 As you notice, it's actually a private

4:14 country club and it says no trespassing.

4:17 But it really doesn't matter because

4:18 even if we could get in here, there

4:20 would be nothing to see. They're

4:22 actually renovating the entire area. So

4:24 where Donnie awoke right over there was

4:27 a sand trap in an area. Now you can see

4:30 there are really no remnants of what

4:32 remains. But this is hollowed ground for

4:37 Donnie Darko fans right here. This is

4:40 where the numbers were written on his

4:43 arm and he awoke up in a stuper of Frank

4:47 the Bunny drunkenness.

6:07 side of the house looks a little

6:08 different, but if you look at the

6:09 chimney, which is right here, the

6:12 frontal area right here has all been

6:14 added on. But the peak right next to the

6:17 chimney right up there is where the fire

6:21 man was actually removing pieces of the

6:24 roof. Still looks the

6:51 After they spend the night in the hotel,

6:51 the next morning the car pulls up and

6:54 parks right here. Mrs. Farmer will bring

6:56 you home after practice. It's been a few

6:59 changes over the last 15 years. You'll

7:01 notice they've actually concreted part

7:02 of the area that was actually grass in

7:04 the movie. And right in here is where

7:06 they smoke the cigarette. Right all in

7:08 here, all the school kids. Strange and

7:11 beautiful

7:12 magic. Wow.

7:21 Wait a minute. That means that this stop

7:21 sign was in the movie. What was Jake

7:24 Gyllenhaal

7:26 like? Was he

7:28 nice? Of course, these trees can

7:31 actually be seen in the movie as well as

7:33 down there in the background. You can

7:35 actually see the stop sign in the pole

7:37 when the kids are standing there. And

7:38 this rod iron fence is still

7:42 here, which can be seen in the

7:44 background of the shots when the kids

7:47 are standing right there at the bus

7:49 stop. What was he like?

10:45 design on the ground is still the same.

11:17 This is the spot after Gretchen gets hit

11:17 by the car where Donnie is carrying her

11:19 back to the house. Looks a little bit

11:21 different, but the curb is still the

11:22 same. Part of the house has been

11:24 resurfaced and finished, but it looks

11:25 very similar. But that stop sign down

11:28 there and this tree right here are in

11:30 the screenshot as well as that sign and

11:34 the no parking sign still there 15 years

11:37 later. I hope that when the world comes

11:39 to an end, I can breathe a sigh of

11:42 relief because there will be so much to

11:45 look forward to.
