Chance of precipitation over the next
0:11
few
0:13
days. Very
0:16
good. Welcome everyone. Adam the Woo
0:20
here. Now, I have never owned a Doppler
0:22
radar, nor do I consider myself a
0:25
meteorologist, but there is a heck of a
0:27
storm brewing off the perimeter
0:30
coastlines of Florida and other regions.
0:34
So, prepare yourself. I'm preparing
0:36
myself. I'm not going to use the
0:39
term hunker down. Well, I just did. It's
0:43
my second channel, daily vlog channel.
0:45
It's the daily. It's not bad today, but
0:47
it will be. Oh, yes. Like Yoda says, you
0:51
with me.
0:53
You with me. What about you birds? Are
0:57
you ready for the storm? You ready? No
1:00
person shall intentionally feed or
1:03
entice any wild alligator, also known as
1:06
the alligator
1:09
Mississippi. I was born in Mississippi
1:12
and I didn't even know about that term,
1:14
man. Slipped right past me. My family
1:17
moved to this town of St. Cloud, Florida
1:18
in 1991. I was 17 years old and I got my
1:22
first car in this town. And the majority
1:25
of people at that age with a vehicle
1:27
usually get their own place. And I was
1:30
no exception. In fact, I had a multitude
1:33
of places I lived. My parents lived in
1:35
this house right here. And I decided I
1:39
wanted to spread my wings and go out on
1:43
my own. So, I left this home and moved
1:45
in with a co-orker who I was friends
1:47
with at the time. He lived with a couple
1:49
other guys. There was a bunch of us
1:50
living in a house together up in
1:52
Orlando. It's a pretty good ways up
1:54
there, but I feel it necessary to make
1:56
the drive, make the track to show you,
1:59
and to remind myself of the very first
2:01
place that I ever lived, quote unquote,
2:05
technically on my own. Looking back on
2:08
it, definitely not the smartest idea to
2:09
live all the way up here, work back
2:12
there, and to live in a house with a ton
2:15
of people. I don't even think I had my
2:17
own room. I borrowed a friend's truck to
2:19
help me move my mattress and dresser and
2:21
stuff. And my dad followed me in his car
2:23
cuz he wanted to see where I was living.
2:25
He probably thought I was insane. And
2:27
the fact of the matter is he was
2:30
correct. There's something about
2:31
youthfulness that does not produce
2:35
intelligence. At least not for me. There
2:38
it is right there. That's the house. And
2:41
that
2:42
window was my first room away from
2:46
home. Oh man, it's crazy that I even
2:49
remember where it was. And I lasted
2:50
about two maybe 3
2:53
months living there before I went back
2:57
to St. Cloud. That was like 24 years
3:00
ago. It's crazy. And after that very
3:02
brief time in Orlando, I came back to
3:05
Oyola County and back to St. Cloud. And
3:08
this time, I ended up being roommates
3:11
with another co-orker. Wow. I haven't
3:14
driven past this area in a very long
3:17
time. I lived in this house for about a
3:19
year. Pretty crazy. Just sitting here in
3:22
the road staring at it. Brings back a
3:24
lot of memories. That's the back side of
3:25
the house right there. Some crazy times
3:28
in that place, that's for Sure. The guy
3:30
that owned the house that I rented a
3:31
room from, he enjoyed having get
3:33
together parties on the weekends. And
3:36
man, sometimes there would be like 50 to
3:38
75 people crammed in that little house
3:41
having a good
3:42
time. It was interesting. And while
3:45
living there, I ended up meeting what
3:46
would become my first official
3:49
girlfriend. And I ended up moving into
3:51
her parents' garage. Her dad built us a
3:53
room in the
3:54
garage. No air conditioning. It was very
3:58
unpleasant in the summertime to say the
4:00
least. Ah, the things you do for love.
4:04
And there's the house right there. And
4:06
just out of the frame of the screened in
4:08
porch is that garage. I think a summer
4:10
or two of being in that heat took its
4:13
toll and we combined forces, combined
4:16
our money, and we got our own place
4:18
together just on the outskirts of CMI.
4:20
On a side note, I'm being very selective
4:22
of how much I show some of these
4:24
properties because they are people's
4:26
personal homes now. So, just keep that
4:29
in mind. Go ahead, buddy. Do
4:33
it. Why did the goose cross the
4:37
road? Cuz he wasn't chicken. Tucked away
4:39
in here was the next spot that I resided
4:43
for about a year or two. There's still
4:47
plenty of fowl around here. And that was
4:50
my apartment right there. That little
4:52
corner unit. It wasn't much, but I liked
4:56
it. My girlfriend and I eventually broke
4:58
up and then a friend of mine moved in
5:00
with me. Go on across. You got the
5:02
rideaway. It's all you fellas. It's all
5:06
you. There was even one point here where
5:09
there were three of us living in that
5:12
apartment. Me, my friend Rob, and my
5:14
friend Carlos all shared that place. It
5:17
was always so difficult to get out of
5:18
this exit. It looks like nothing's
5:21
changed. This hotel here on the left, it
5:23
looks like they're renovating it. But
5:25
right in that little office area, they
5:26
used to have a breakfast buffet. It was
5:28
a $1.99 all you can eat. That's what I
5:30
would eat in the morning and that's all
5:32
I eat all day. So, I'd spend $2 a day on
5:34
food by eating in there. Casey Neistat.
5:37
We are now approaching one of the
5:39
longest places in this area I ever
5:41
lived. Right up here on the left hand
5:43
side. There were many, many, many of
5:45
nights my roommate and I would get our
5:47
dinner from that 7-Eleven because our
5:50
apartment was right up here. And they
5:53
really have fixed this place up
5:55
considerably since way back then. It's a
5:58
lot nicer than it used to be. And there
5:59
it is, the top floor. That was our
6:03
balcony right there. And my room was
6:06
right behind that tree limb. I lived
6:09
there for probably almost 5 years. There
6:12
used to be a tree right here that they
6:13
have cut down. And I remember around
6:16
Christmas time, I took a big humongous
6:19
ball of Christmas lights and I launched
6:22
it from the top of the balcony onto the
6:25
tree. So there was this really gawky
6:28
string going across the sidewalk. The
6:31
apartment complex did not appreciate
6:33
that too
6:40
much. Right there was my apartment. And
6:40
they've added screens around the porch
6:42
since my day, which is kind of nice. And
6:44
we had many a get together and there
6:45
were times that we would get 20 to 30
6:47
people on top of that little balcony
6:51
porch. Probably not structurally sound
6:53
enough for that kind of weight, but we
6:55
were wild and crazy. I used to ride my
6:57
bike to work down this road and
6:59
sometimes in the winter months it was so
7:01
cold I would ride with no hands. So, I'd
7:03
basically have my hands in my
7:06
pockets at like 4 in the morning
7:09
cruising to work. Ah, the good old days.
7:12
It's incredibly hot in Florida most of
7:14
the year, but there is that one or two
7:16
months, especially during nightfall
7:18
where it gets a little chilly. Also, in
7:20
this neighborhood, there was a huge drug
7:23
bust right in this neck of the woods.
7:26
I'm not going to pinpoint what h what
7:27
house it is, but it was like it was a
7:29
pretty big deal. All the neighborhood
7:32
was talking about it. I ended up leaving
7:33
there and moving back to St. Cloud with
7:35
my parents before moving into the final
7:38
apartment that I lived in for about 5
7:41
years until the story culminates into
7:45
its crescendo. This car coming up beside
7:48
me is an Imperial Stormtrooper. I know
7:51
that cuz it says so right on the
7:53
windshield. Correction, I think it
7:54
really said Imperial
7:57
Transport. I could be wrong.
8:05
Probably one of the most favorite places
8:05
I ever
8:07
lived right here on the left hand
8:10
side, the top
8:17
floor. There's two apartments up there.
8:17
Mine was this window. That was my
8:20
bedroom. And my living room were those
8:23
three there. There's another apartment
8:25
up
8:26
there, but I lived there for
8:29
about five years, give or
8:31
take, and that was where I made the
8:34
conscious decision to move out of my
8:37
apartment and start basically staying in
8:40
my van in order to pay my van off early
8:43
so I could start traveling. And the
8:46
reason you're watching this
8:48
vlog is because I decided to move out of
8:54
this apartment that I really enjoyed
8:56
living in. I lived there by myself. It
8:59
was the first place that I had all by
9:02
myself. No roommates, no live-in
9:06
girlfriends, nothing of that nature. But
9:08
because I gave that
9:10
up, it has now culminated
9:13
into me traveling, me doing vlogs, me
9:16
doing videos. I have an announcement
9:19
coming soon. Don't want to give it away
9:21
yet, but stay tuned in the next few
9:26
days. Vlog over.
