0:09 Welcome everyone. Adam the Woo here. I
0:09 am 99.36942%
0:19 positive that I am getting rid of
0:19 the Christmas tree today. It's so hard
0:23 to say goodbye
0:26 to the Christmas
0:28 tree.
0:37 It's my second channel, daily vlog
0:37 channel. It's going to be a fun full
0:40 day. It's a daily woo.
0:54 Still only drinking water. And when I
0:54 say I'm only drinking water, I know
0:56 there are technicalities involved in
0:58 that. People were leaving comments the
1:00 other day about, "Well, you ate faux, so
1:04 you drank the broth, so technically
1:07 you're not drinking water." And I guess
1:09 that's true to a degree. And then
1:10 someone else left a comment, "Well, you
1:12 ate ice cream, you're technically
1:14 drinking milk." But the same could be
1:16 said for if I eat Chinese food and I use
1:19 soy sauce, I'm drinking soy sauce.
1:23 There's a lot of different variables.
1:25 And I, you know, there are different
1:27 types of people in the world. There are
1:29 the glass half full people and the glass
1:32 half empty. And the glass half empty
1:34 people will always look for something to
1:37 nitpick. But I've only been drinking
1:39 water. I've not had soda. I've not drank
1:41 a cup of milk. I have not had tea or
1:44 juice or anything like that. Granted,
1:46 I've eaten fruit and there is juice in
1:49 fruit. And if you eat a stick of celery,
1:53 if you put it through a juicer, it
1:55 becomes a beverage. So, yes, there are
1:58 exceptions to this. Going up to Burbank
2:00 today.
2:02 Going to Walt's Barn, which used to be
2:05 on his property in the greater Los
2:07 Angeles area, and it still is in that
2:09 area, but they've moved it from his
2:11 homestead over to Griffith Park, and
2:14 it's only open one day normally. I think
2:16 during the summer hours, it's open two
2:17 days a month. But this is the last day I
2:19 will be able to visit Walt's Barn before
2:22 I depart California. And I don't think
2:25 I've ever vlogged this. This has never
2:26 been the topic of a vlog. So that's
2:28 where we're going.
3:00 So there's the barn when it was on his
3:00 property. I believe the property was
3:02 located in Homely Hills, which is kind
3:04 of over near Bell Air, but that was it.
3:08 And now it has moved here. Walt Disney
3:11 used this telephone to communicate
3:13 between the barn and the main house.
3:15 this old school telephone. Just think,
3:18 Walt Disney spoke right into that and
3:21 listened through this little earpiece
3:24 right here.
3:37 And Walt's barn here in Griffith Park
3:37 was based on his memory of the barn he
3:40 spent a lot of his childhood years
3:43 hanging out in in Marceline, Missouri.
3:46 And there's Marceline, which was also
3:49 one of the inspirations for the original
3:51 Main Street USA. I've been there. And
3:54 I've been to the recreation of Walt's
3:56 barn in Marceline. And now I'm in Walt's
4:00 Wheel Barn in Griffith Park.
4:04 The circle is complete.
4:12 Check this out. Walt Disney himself
4:12 built this little coat rack where he
4:14 hung his overalls. This was an old
4:17 broomstick that he cut off. He cut it
4:20 off so it would fit in this hole. Walt
4:24 built this himself.
4:27 That's awesome.
4:35 This workbench, like all the others in
4:35 this barn, were handbuilt by Walt
4:38 Disney. He built this right there.
4:43 Think about it. Walt Disney himself
4:46 built this bench.
4:55 And this is one of the original train
4:55 cars from Disneyland right here. Just
4:58 sitting here in Griffith Park, the 101.
5:01 And look inside this. Look here.
5:16 That'd be great.
5:16 I don't think there's any small trees
5:17 running. So, this might look familiar
5:19 because this looks to most people looks
5:22 familiar as very similar to the train
5:24 station that's at Disneyland where the
5:26 Morse code is typed. And they have like
5:29 a miniature version here.
5:32 And look at this
5:34 out of Ollie's front yard. Oh, that was
5:36 in Ali's front yard. Yeah. He um had
5:39 track running all around his property
5:41 there walking out of Flint Ridge and he
5:44 donated his track and this little uh
5:46 train depot to us out here at Carolwood
5:49 and uh in the front um where a walkway
5:52 and the driveway was. He cast the track
5:56 into the concrete and that's part of the
5:58 track. So that's part of the track and
6:00 he signed that right there.
6:03 Wow.
6:10 He even had the light on. It almost
6:10 reminds me of Walt's apartment at
6:12 Disneyland. It is incredibly hot out
6:14 here today and I'm from Florida and I'm
6:16 used to the heat. This is the hottest
6:18 day in California in a long time.
6:24 Get a couple of these. I think I might
6:24 get all three of those postcards as well
6:27 and the waters. People have been leaving
6:29 little notes on the dust on the side of
6:32 my van. Someone wrote, "Love your vids.
6:36 Thanks. And then over here, someone
6:39 wrote thank you. And then someone simply
6:42 wrote Adam on the back window. I
6:45 probably need to wash this thing at some
6:47 point sometime soon. I got myself a
6:50 little momento. I'm going to stick it
6:52 right up here so that I always remember
6:57 always remember Walt's barn. Oh, by the
7:00 way, I forgot to show this in the meetup
7:01 video yesterday. Somebody gave me the
7:04 Star Wars figure. He's wearing out of
7:06 the Woo glasses. Join me, shall you?
7:10 Wait, is that how he talks? I don't even
7:12 know how this guy talks.
7:24 And just down the road from Walt's Barn
7:24 is the Travel Town Museum.
7:31 Do you think the majority of alcoholic
7:31 beverages that are snuck into Griffith
7:34 Park look like martini glasses?
7:38 I don't know if there's a lot of people
7:39 drinking martinis
7:41 here. I could be wrong, though. The
7:43 Pacific Electric was one of the largest
7:45 and most varied inter urban railways in
7:48 North America, the Rio Vista. And right
7:50 there is one of the stations. I'm going
7:53 to go up inside the train right now. I'm
7:55 going in here.
7:57 Holy cow. Look at this. Whoa.
8:09 All the gears and knobs to make this
8:09 work.
8:25 Holy cow. This is awesome. I didn't know
8:25 you could come up inside here.
8:41 Now, I don't know about you, but I find
8:41 this stuff super interesting. Am I the
8:44 only one? The San Francisco Municipal
8:46 Railway. Just as it had a subway long
8:49 ago, it also had a railway. And this is
8:54 one of the old railway cars.
8:59 Imagine people sitting right here.
9:03 And now it's just sitting here baking
9:06 and cracking and crumbling underneath
9:08 this very hot California sunny day.
9:17 I know this one is not operational, but
9:17 I have never ridden an active cable car.
9:20 I want to go to San Francisco sometime
9:21 in the future and ride and vlog from a
9:24 cable car just like in the movies. I
9:26 want to chase it down and jump on it
9:28 even though I don't think that's allowed
9:29 anymore. But it never hurts to ask.
9:38 This was an old circus car transporting
9:38 animals to and fro from circus to
9:41 circus. And I wonder what animal this
9:45 was being used to transport. Any idea
9:49 what was being transported in here?
10:06 This is super cool. This old Carnation
10:06 milk truck.
10:08 Look at this relic. And even more
10:11 thrilling than that is the fact that
10:12 there is a huge fan right here because
10:14 it is incredibly hot today.
10:18 I'm going to pull a Tommy boy. I am your
10:22 father.
10:24 It works.
10:38 It feels much better in here because
10:38 there is a huge roof over us. I love
10:42 California weather, don't get me wrong.
10:43 California has the most majestic weather
10:46 ever. Today, however, my philosophy on
10:50 perfect California weather is out the
10:52 window. It is stinking hot. Look inside
10:55 these old rail cars at the seats.
10:59 Look at the old wooden seats there.
11:02 That's old school.
11:05 So much history right here among these
11:07 trains. And what was this used for?
11:27 There's more trains out here than you
11:27 can shake a proverbial stick at. If you
11:30 had a stick, I hope it's proverbial
11:31 because you could injure someone if it
11:33 was a real stick. And the best thing
11:34 about this place, it's free admission.
11:37 So, if you're ever in Los Angeles, stop
11:38 off here. Check it out.
11:53 That's an interesting vehicle.
11:54 Blinged out
11:56 beyond belief.
12:04 Do you ever look at stickers on the back
12:04 of signs? Sometimes I'll just stare at
12:07 them and wonder what they are. Like what
12:09 does beast getum mean? And here's a
12:12 couple more. Roar. R O backwards R.
12:21 Hello Subway. That used to be a Taco
12:21 Bell. I'm going to miss this place when
12:23 I leave. And this little taco place next
12:25 to it is always in full party mode.
12:27 Always in full party mode.
12:47 I got to be honest. I'm starting to get
12:47 really stressed out about leaving
12:50 Southern California. And it's not the
12:52 moving away. It's not the going that is
12:54 stressing me out. It's just how much
12:57 stuff I still need to do before I leave.
13:00 In just about a week from right now, I
13:02 will be departing California. And my
13:06 mind feels like it's going to explode.
13:08 My head is spinning around so much
13:12 because I have so much left. I still
13:14 need to do to get ready to leave the
13:16 homestead. Things I need to get rid of,
13:19 things I need to take to Goodwill, food
13:21 that I need to take to take to the food
13:22 pantry, canned goods, and stuff like
13:24 that. some stuff I need to throw away as
13:26 well as things I need to film and vlog
13:29 and document people I need to hang out
13:31 with and see who have all these ideas
13:34 and saying, "I don't see enough of you.
13:35 I want to see you before you leave." I'm
13:38 trying to get all of that
13:40 done and handled before I leave. And
13:42 it's just really it's really starting to
13:45 weigh on my shoulders and stress me out
13:46 a lot. And I have to remind myself that
13:49 I will be back many, many, many times
13:53 over the next now until the end of my
13:55 future, whatever that is. I will be able
13:57 to come back out here. And
14:00 it's very difficult. I will tell you
14:02 this. I've mentioned this in the past.
14:03 It's very difficult living down in
14:05 Orange County near Disneyland in Anaheim
14:08 and being able to get to Los Angeles to
14:11 film all the stuff I've wanted to film
14:13 that I only pretty much hit the tip of
14:16 the iceberg on over the last year and a
14:19 half of me being here. And the reason is
14:21 it takes so long to commute from Anaheim
14:25 up to Los Angeles and then heaven forbid
14:29 past Los Angeles would take you forever
14:32 to get there. But mind me not having a
14:35 place I will be able to go wherever. And
14:37 here's what I'm thinking. When I come
14:39 back in the future, instead of me
14:41 staying in Orange County for two weeks
14:43 or whatever or a week, I will just stay
14:45 down here maybe a day or two. Go to
14:48 Disneyland. go to Disney California
14:50 Adventure and that's it. Then I will go
14:52 to Los Angeles. I will stay in Hollywood
14:54 for a week or two weeks and I can focus
14:57 on all the stuff that I've wanted to do.
15:00 Even though I did a lot of stuff,
15:01 there's so much more I wanted to do up
15:03 in Los Angeles and up in Hollywood and I
15:06 will be there and I will probably get
15:08 more accomplished by visiting here than
15:11 I did the whole time I lived there.
15:12 Think about that. So, just wanted to
15:15 give you a piece of my mind and tell you
15:18 how much stress I have right now that is
15:21 going to be alleviated when I leave. And
15:24 outside right now, I can hear the
15:26 fireworks from Disneyland. You can hear
15:29 them going off outside. So, I'll try to
15:32 fly the drone up and get a shot of the
15:34 grand finale of the Disneyland fireworks
15:38 from the majestic drone off in the
15:41 horizon from about 5 miles from the
15:44 Disneyland Resort. There they are. The
15:48 grand finale fireworks from Disneyland.
15:51 That's how close I lived to the
15:54 Disneyland Park. Only one more week and
15:57 then it's time to say goodbye. All
16:00 right, everyone. Vlog over.
