0:27 Welcome everyone. And I'm in Los
0:27 Angeles, California, and I'm going to
0:28 show you the abandoned Los Angeles Zoo.
0:33 Join me, shall you?
1:32 Pine cone looking things.
1:32 Baby pine cone.
1:53 No water. There's the rest of them.
1:53 Three, four, five, six, and seven right
1:55 here.
1:56 That's problems.
2:02 It's
2:02 like a little cage up on it.
2:04 Yeah, there's a little cage right up
2:05 there. See it?
2:06 So, they kept me.
2:17 Zoo things. Leave the way with the
2:17 stick. Point the way.
2:29 bird cages.
2:29 Some sort of animal cages.
2:31 No animals in them at the moment.
2:33 However,
2:34 look like one tore through there. It's
2:36 like a mouth.
2:41 It's going to be a tight squeeze getting
2:42 through here until I can make it. Oh, my
2:44 torso is stuck.
2:47 Water fountain.
2:48 That's where the nozzle would have been.
2:50 Get a drink of water.
2:52 You thirsty?
3:11 Clean water.
3:11 Refreshing.
3:42 Get out of my home.
3:42 Looks like this is the latch that
3:44 brought one line through to the other.
3:46 They would go back and forth. Kind of
3:47 like when you're rent a hotel room and
3:48 there's a door that goes from one hotel
3:50 to the other. This is the Lion's Hotel.
4:01 This is actually a really cool cage in
4:03 Wow, look at this.
4:06 Climb up.
4:15 Oh, this is awesome. Look at this. It's
4:15 a little den for a little guy and a big
4:18 guy right here and a little guy right
4:19 there.
4:21 Exciting. Imagine getting locked in
4:24 those cages right there. Wouldn't that
4:26 be frightening?
4:27 When you're bad, they put you in here.
4:29 If I get bad, just throw me in the cage
4:31 and throw away the key.
4:31 I don't even know how to open it.
4:32 That's true. So, I'm safe. It's sealed.
4:36 It's sealed cuz of that stick.
4:40 There's like a metal rod in there.
4:43 Snake like awesome.
4:47 Looks like someone fell on it.
4:50 Someone fell? No, it looks like someone
4:52 dented it.
4:54 It was me.
4:57 Came out here earlier and dented the
4:58 chain.
5:03 Cages and wires run all the way up there
5:04 up the hill into the sunset. More old
5:07 zoo remnants right there. Look at that.
5:09 Old zoo remnants here in Los Angeles,
5:13 California.
5:19 Can you do a trick with your stick?
5:21 No.
5:22 That's it.
5:24 That was it. That was the only trick.
5:26 Oh, there you go. It's a trick. Yay.
5:28 It falls on the floor.
5:30 This looks safe.
5:33 Looks like there was some sort of river
5:34 here running through here. There's a
5:35 cage down there. You can see the river
5:38 comes this this way. Maybe they had sea
5:39 otterters or something of that nature.
5:51 Look at this wacky tree bark. Wacky tree
5:51 bark.
5:55 That is a wishbone here. Grab it. Let's
5:56 make a wish. Grab it. Ready? Here we go.
5:59 Oh, you got the wish. What do you wish
6:00 for?
6:01 I want all the animals back in this
6:04 zoo.
6:05 The rock formations up there above the
6:07 ravine. The former ravine. Waterway.
6:10 That's what a ravine means. water way.
6:14 Look at this crazy thing.
6:22 It looks like a former zoo creature has
6:22 maimed and mangled this tree. Maybe a
6:24 lion was returning to reminisce of his
6:27 old stomping grounds and he chomped
6:28 right there. Lion chomp.
6:32 Chop.
7:06 You going to go in? Maybe.
7:08 No. There's spider webs in here.
7:11 You can do it.
7:11 Oh, no. I wouldn't do it. There's an egg
7:13 right there.
7:14 An egg. Spider egg.
7:16 Spider egg.
7:16 Spider egg. Spider egg.
7:40 You're as free as a bird. Look at the
7:40 city down there. See it way down over
7:42 there over your shoulder there to the
7:44 left. That's the city of Los Angeles.
8:01 It's an even tinier cage.
8:01 Tiny tiny cage.
8:04 I like all the old fences that are
8:05 dilapidating and falling down.
8:07 Dilapidating fences out here.
8:18 This whole zoo closed in 1965.
8:18 The crazy thing is it's all still
8:19 sitting out here. So, you should come
8:21 see it and visit it just like I did,
8:24 just like me.
8:32 the wind.
8:32 This is awesome. Isn't this cool?
8:36 It's like an echo in here. Whoa, there's
8:38 bees. Look at all these bees and wasps
8:39 up here. Wa! There's hundreds of them.
8:43 Bees.
8:45 Can you hear them?
8:48 Hundreds of them.
8:49 Yeah, they're all around here. There's
8:51 like a thousand bees or wasps
8:54 out here at the old LA Zoo.
8:58 Just think, there used to be bears and
9:01 lions and tigers.
9:03 Oh my.
