Welcome everyone. Adam the Woo here.
0:05
Thanks for honking. It's my second
0:07
channel, daily blog channel. It's the
0:09
daily van that is not my van that
0:14
resembles my van, except this van is
0:16
actually raised up and has this really
0:18
cool
0:20
rack on it and a frontal area here.
0:25
It's the daily. Woo. This is the van
0:28
we've been touring in right there. Our
0:31
buddy Garrett, who lives in Jacksonville
0:33
Beach, actually has been on the tour,
0:35
the Guttermouth tour that I'm playing
0:37
bass guitar for for the last week and a
0:40
half to 10 days. He actually had to fly
0:42
home from Canada yesterday. And he's
0:45
letting us use his van the rest of the
0:48
entire tour, seven or eight more days.
0:50
The tour ends on the 31st. There's an
0:52
airplane. There's an airplane right up
0:54
there. There's an airplane.
1:02
So anyway, we're using this van right
1:02
here. I got distracted by that airplane.
1:04
As you would of two, sir, ma'am, or
1:09
maybe children would like to be
1:12
distracted by the birds flying around
1:15
and chirping. You kind of hear the birds
1:16
chirping and you can hear the birds
1:19
flying through the air. The metal birds
1:21
of the airport. I'm in Detroit. The
1:24
Detroit airport is right over there is
1:28
the Detroit airport. This is the hotel
1:29
we stayed at for a few hours. Got some
1:31
sleep last night. So you have metal
1:33
birds careening through the air carrying
1:36
passengers. And you have regular birds.
1:38
There goes a regular bird. Whoa. Hope
1:41
that regular bird, a normal bird
1:43
flapping its wings doesn't collide with
1:45
a metal bird full of passengers. Back to
1:48
the van which also carries passengers.
1:51
Our buddy Garrett from Jacksonville
1:54
Beach was kind enough to drive us around
1:56
and also kind enough to let us continue
1:58
to borrow the van. Basically, we're
2:00
driving this van around till the 31st of
2:02
this month. The last show is in Virginia
2:05
Beach and then I will be driving back
2:07
down from Virginia Beach to drop up a
2:09
couple of the other guys from
2:10
Guttermouth to fly back to California
2:13
from Orlando International. So,
2:15
basically, it's a whole rigomearo of
2:18
flying places and members flying in and
2:20
out. There goes another one. There goes
2:22
another one. You can hear that other
2:25
plane flying over. So, a lot of airports
2:27
and a lot of countries involved in this
2:30
tour. And by a lot of countries, I mean
2:32
two USA, which I am back on US soil and
2:38
Canadian soil, which we were at
2:41
yesterday. In the last three days, we
2:42
played that big festival in Montabelloo.
2:45
And here's a fire hydrant. Look at that
2:46
fire hydrant. It's a little bit wacky
2:48
and different than a normal fire
2:50
hydrant. It's actually a little bit
2:51
different facade area. And here's a
2:55
rusted out metal box full of electrical
2:58
goodness. So, basically, we are back in
3:01
the US of A. And I am back. And you're
3:03
back vicariously with me. Look at that
3:05
right there. That's an American flag.
3:08
The good old US of A. But I want to give
3:10
a little bit of a story, a rant if you
3:14
will, about our border crossing
3:16
yesterday. Back over into Detroit. I
3:19
should just sit right here.
3:22
I should just sit right here on the Look
3:23
at this. Look. Detroit Edison. See, this
3:27
cabinet must be open for periodic
3:30
maintenance in Detroit.
3:33
So, basically back in the US watching
3:36
these planes fly by. Yesterday, going
3:38
through customs was definitely not a fun
3:41
experience. I'm going to put that on my
3:43
lesser fun experience chart list or some
3:48
sort of diary. I guess this is
3:50
technically a diary in some sort of
3:53
fashion. So, basically, I'm going to jot
3:55
this down now, not with a pen, but with
3:57
words about what happened yesterday in
4:01
this, my US customs
4:04
diary.
4:12
Wonder if that guy riding the bike right
4:12
there, see him? Wonder if he's ever been
4:14
through US customs. I wonder if anybody
4:16
here in Detroit ever crosses the border
4:18
often just to go into Canada and say,
4:19
"Heck it, I'm going to go visit around
4:22
Canadian areas and see Canadian things."
4:26
Getting into Canada has a little bit of
4:29
a I used the word rigomearo twice
4:31
already, but I'm going to use that
4:32
again. A little bit of a rigomearo.
4:34
Rigomearo. Rigomearo. Rigomearo. What if
4:36
rigomearo is anything like Beetlejuice?
4:38
If you say it three times, some crazy
4:40
guy named Rigamaro. Man, what would a
4:43
rigomearo look like? If there was some
4:45
character, an imaginary character named
4:47
Rigomearo.
4:49
I think I might start drawing a cartoon
4:51
character. Maybe I'll start jotting down
4:53
some sketches even though I can't draw
4:55
of a character named Rigamaro. Hello,
4:58
I'm Rigamaro. I'm Mr. Rigamaro. So, a
5:01
lot of Rigamaro. Look at these airplanes
5:04
flying in from Canada to the US of A.
5:09
We drove in to the US of A from Canada
5:13
after playing these festivals. And there
5:16
is a new terminology which I think
5:18
you've probably heard innocent until
5:21
proven guilty. You've always heard that
5:23
term. Yesterday I did not feel that way
5:26
and the rest of my guys in my band on
5:29
tour playing bass for the band
5:30
Guttermouth did not feel that way as
5:32
well. going through customs was
5:34
definitely pretty annoying and
5:37
definitely kind of uncalled for in my
5:39
opinion. I am not an expert on homeland
5:42
security. So, I don't really know what
5:43
they're looking for, but basically when
5:44
you're driving a big van like that and
5:46
you have six or seven guys crammed in a
5:49
little vehicle or a big vehicle that's
5:51
raised up like that, usually they're
5:54
going to pull you over, pull you to the
5:56
side and say, "Come on in. We need to
5:59
check your passports." All the passports
6:01
were in order. We went in this little
6:03
teeny tiny room that smelled of sulfur.
6:07
I don't know why the sulfur smell was so
6:09
intense in there. We were crammed in
6:11
there with all these people trying to
6:13
cross the border back over from Canada
6:15
to the US. A lot of times they just
6:17
waved them on through after checking
6:19
your passport. They checked our
6:21
passports and they said, "You guys need
6:22
to come with us. Come into this room."
6:25
So we sat in this room for two hours.
6:27
There's another plane.
6:31
We sat in this room for 2 hours.
6:33
Basically, after sitting there for 2
6:35
hours, they kind of like started to like
6:37
not really interrogate us, but they
6:39
brought us into this room and they
6:40
started to search us and ask all these
6:42
questions saying that the dog found
6:45
something. They had some random dog
6:47
snooping around the van and they said
6:49
the dog picked up a scent. And that gave
6:53
thee the incentive. See what I did
6:55
there? The dog picked up a scent which
6:58
translated over to an incent
7:01
of a dog and an incentive for them to
7:04
start rooting around in the van. So
7:06
basically they tossed the van inside the
7:09
vans. They pulled everything up, pulled
7:11
up the floor mats, took all our stuff,
7:14
opened our bags, made us leave our cell
7:16
phones in the vehicle, rooted around
7:18
inside the car that entire 2hour period
7:22
while we were inside that sulfur
7:24
smelling teenytiny room. And the people
7:27
that work there, not exactly the kindest
7:30
customer service people that you've ever
7:33
experienced. Normally when you go into a
7:35
retail store, everyone greets you.
7:37
Hello, welcome to this. Hello, welcome
7:38
to this. you guys having a good day?
7:40
Welcome to the US of A or any other
7:42
country that you're going into. That is
7:45
not the way it works. Basically, at the
7:48
custom area crossover from Detroit,
7:50
where these planes are going into
7:54
Detroit, that particular station, I'm
7:56
not sure how it is at other stations,
7:58
cross the border a number of times. It's
8:00
never been this difficult or this rude
8:04
in my opinion. And the people there
8:06
definitely were not very kind-hearted to
8:08
us. They ended up searching us. They
8:11
took us into a room one by run one by
8:13
one. One by one. And of course, what
8:16
they try to do is they try to say, "Oh,
8:18
we found something in the van. What do
8:20
you know about it?" I don't know about
8:21
anything in the van other than my stuff.
8:23
We're just trying to cross the border,
8:25
get to the next show. We have jobs to
8:27
do. Trying to play shows. Trying to move
8:30
the tour along instead of being delayed,
8:32
which I do understand. trying to protect
8:35
each country is trying to protect their
8:37
borders and I definitely can appreciate
8:39
that. But where should the line be drawn
8:42
basically as far as people being rude
8:45
and you haven't done anything and just
8:47
because you fit a quote unquote
8:49
description
8:51
should you be detained for that long
8:53
when there is no proof of any any
8:55
wrongdoing.
8:57
I don't really know. I'm definitely very
8:59
flustered, very confused, and bewildered
9:02
because I had my nether regions,
9:05
searched by a grown man. I don't even
9:09
know if he was even wearing gloves when
9:11
this happened. Luckily, the clothes were
9:13
left on, my clothes were left on. I had
9:16
to take my shoes off, my belt off, empty
9:18
my pockets out, flip them inside and
9:19
out, get up against the wall. That was
9:21
the first time I ever put my hands up
9:22
against the wall and it my body has been
9:25
desecrated by the hands of another male
9:30
older than me. That's very a very
9:32
awkward situation whether you're
9:34
welcomed into your home country, the US
9:36
of A by being touched and fondled in
9:40
areas the nether regions. I always use
9:43
that word nether regions. Well, this
9:44
time the nether regions were definitely
9:47
explored. I'm definitely an explorer. I
9:50
can appreciate exploring, but they found
9:52
nothing that they were looking for in my
9:56
nether regions. Stay away from my nether
9:58
regions unless there needs to be a
10:01
nether regions search. That's all I have
10:04
to say. So, very confusing, very
10:06
bewildering experience. We were all
10:08
searched in that fashion. Then we had to
10:10
go back in the room. It was very
10:13
interesting. Long story short,
10:15
everything was cool. two hours sitting
10:18
there, the rudest people of all time.
10:21
When you're walking in, even the people
10:23
that were just walking in, like there
10:24
were older ladies that were pulled over
10:26
or families with their kids when they
10:28
would walk in, the person that was
10:30
greeting them when they would walk in
10:32
was just so rude, right? When they walk
10:34
in the door, what's your name? Come over
10:36
here. Give me a bad boy. All right,
10:38
then. Well, that was an interesting
10:40
experience that we had to deal with
10:42
yesterday. I know I'm not making a lot
10:44
of sense.
10:46
Technically, I'm very confused right
10:48
now. I do not know if I was assaulted
10:53
or if I was enjoying it.
