0:02 Today's adventure brings us to Walt
0:02 Disney World for my final visit to one
0:06 of its theme parks for this July 2020
0:08 trip. And it will be taking place at
0:11 Animal Kingdom.
0:14 I'm ready. Looks to be plenty of parking
0:17 available.
0:19 It's about 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July
0:22 24th.
0:24 Still no tram service at the moment.
0:28 just parked over here at the the edge of
0:31 the lot.
0:38 Always a good rule of thumb to document
0:38 the spot. I'm in Peacock 15. That way
0:42 you don't have to rely on your memory
0:43 for later. Welcome everyone. Adam the
0:46 Woo here. Even though I am not departing
0:48 the state of Florida till the end of the
0:50 month,
0:53 going into the Disney parks is going to
0:57 be completed today. Making four visits
1:02 to Epcot, three to Magic Kingdom, three
1:06 to Hollywood Studios, and two, this will
1:09 be two out at after after this. It will
1:12 be two at Animal Kingdom.
1:15 I have fully documented
1:18 July, the reopenings of WDW.
1:22 It's been fun.
1:25 I'm inviting you to join me,
1:29 shall you? Which, if my math is correct,
1:33 puts it at a dozen 12
1:36 solid days, not in a row, but 12 solid
1:39 days spaced out throughout the course of
1:40 this month.
1:46 No park hopping, individual parks on
1:46 different days. 12's a good round
1:49 number. Certainly a time I will look
1:51 back on as a historical
1:54 moment,
1:56 that's for sure. All right, it's
1:58 screening time. Time for a screening.
2:01 97.6.
2:12 As you make your way in, you pass these
2:12 very beautiful waterfalls and rock
2:15 formations. And after turning the
2:18 corner, you're presented with the Tree
2:19 of Life straight ahead. Going to head
2:21 over to Expedition Everest. Oh, yeah.
2:24 One of my favorites out here. And it's
2:25 interesting because the Yeti's up at the
2:27 top of Everest, but he also has an
2:29 establishment here, a restaurant called
2:30 the Yaken Yeti. I guess his partner must
2:33 run it while he's up there frightening
2:35 folks at the top of the peak. This would
2:37 be pretty nice to get around the park
2:38 in. Yeah, this would this would really
2:40 get you around in in style right here.
2:42 Oh man, it's just saying come on over. I
2:44 am. I am. Oh, dang. He's also got a
2:47 palace. He has the the the Palace Hotel
2:49 opening next season. Does not appear to
2:51 be too long of a wait. At least that's
2:53 what I could tell from this angle. There
2:56 comes the ride vehicle. Oh yeah. I'm in
2:59 road number seven and tagging along
3:03 world of Micah. Oh yes. Fancy meeting
3:06 you here.
3:07 Yeah, man. Very fancy.
3:16 We're about to go up, up, up, and up.
3:16 Oh, look at those view. I'm holding on
3:18 to my hat and I have the strap wrapped
3:21 around my elbow. I don't hopefully that
3:24 works. You think that'll
3:26 tight? Hold on.
3:34 The dank track is out again.
3:34 This happens every time.
3:40 I need to get a hold of someone around
3:40 here and let them know about the hair
3:43 ties. Oh, we're going backwards.
3:44 Backwards. We're going back. This is
3:46 like days. This happened the last time.
4:02 Oh. Is that it? That's the end of it,
4:02 right?
4:02 Yeah, it is.
4:03 Oh, man.
4:05 Woo. I think. Oh, who's that?
4:09 I think that's the Yeti right there.
4:13 Oh, he's fixing the crash.
4:16 Okay, you're fix Wait, what's happening?
4:18 What's happening right now?
4:20 We're dropping.
4:21 Wait, we're
4:43 Oh man. Oh, we're done. This is This is
4:43 going on way too long. Oh my god. Okay,
4:45 we're done. We're finished. We're
4:47 finished. No, we're not finished.
4:50 There he is.
4:56 A piece of cake.
4:56 Yeah. Fine. I handle I handle that like
4:59 a champ.
5:00 Yeah, me too. No sweat. No sweat.
5:08 I might have to do that a couple more
5:08 times. What's going on?
5:14 Put the hand back. Oh, I still got it.
5:14 Little bit attached to my elbow.
5:28 We are
5:51 And now on to dinosaur. It says standby
5:52 entrance only 5 minutes.
5:54 It's passed. Wait, it's it's fast. It's
5:56 a blast and it's in the pass. I messed
5:58 that up. They just informed us it's
6:00 going to be about 10 minutes while they
6:02 clean the vehicles. So, a little bit
6:04 more than five minutes, but it's good.
6:06 They have to they do this uh
6:08 occasionally every every few rounds,
6:09 which will give me a chance to dispense
6:12 a little bit of this self-d dispensing.
6:14 I'm still not 100% sure what they use
6:16 that they're spraying out of that
6:18 container,
6:20 but they have the plexiglass up between
6:23 the between the rows and using that
6:26 little spray container.
6:36 It seems what they do is after they
6:36 spray it down, they run all of them
6:38 through the entire attraction on the
6:40 cycle just to air it out. So, it's a
6:42 little bit of a waste, you know, just
6:44 once the stuff is applied, you have to
6:46 you have to have the air going through
6:48 the breeze going through the dyno ride
6:49 and then loop back around and then we
6:52 board. So, you'll notice how these are
6:54 empty
6:55 from cycling through. Spacing out the
6:57 seats as well. There's no one in front
6:59 of us. They have the plexiglass. And
7:02 over here, no one between. I guess we
7:04 both technically we can sit next to each
7:05 other. We did on Everest, but we're
7:07 choosing not to.
7:15 All right. Where's it up?
7:15 I was just told to remove my glasses and
7:17 my hat.
7:54 Wow, that was intense. That just
7:54 happened.
8:00 Don't need to go to a chiropractor
8:00 anymore.
8:01 It's all part of the experience. Yeah.
8:03 States's only 5 minutes for the safari.
8:05 All right, it's happening. Hello.
8:13 Up in front of the Well, it's not
8:13 Plexiglass, but it's Danny 702 and Eddie
8:15 here in front. Can you guys hear me up
8:17 there?
8:17 Yeah, I can hear you fine.
8:18 Can you hear me?
8:19 What?
8:26 Hello there.
8:26 And we are also moving around this
8:27 termite mound here. And termites, they
8:30 make these mounds as hard as concrete.
8:32 They like to use dirt mixed with a bit
8:34 of saliva and gum. They chew it all up
8:37 and spit it out. They cut really hard
8:39 concrete like this really long purple
8:41 prehensil tongues. Those tongues help
8:43 them to reach high at food like those
8:45 branches and leaves there. Their tongues
8:47 are around your longest finger to your
8:50 elbow.
8:50 Oh wow, look right there.
8:52 So long in fact that they could pretty
8:54 easily lick their own eyeballs. They
8:56 really
8:56 Hello.
8:59 And the purple color of their tongues
9:00 just helps to prevent their tongues from
9:02 getting sunburned. Comes in handy if
9:05 they couldn't find any good watering
9:06 holes nearby.
9:09 Now, elephants do have the second
9:11 longest childhood. The young ones like
9:13 to hang out with mom for about 13 to 15
9:16 years of their life. Of course, the
9:18 males are typically kicked out first.
9:20 They like to preserve their water by not
9:22 sweating until they reach over 115°
9:26 F.
9:32 Now, they are one of my favorite animals
9:32 here on the reserve. They have a
9:34 wonderful success story.
9:42 And these beautiful guys were in fact
9:42 100% extinct out in the wild until a
9:45 couple of conservation teams decided to
9:47 come together and they helped breed
9:49 them. Then they re-released them out
9:51 into the wild. So, they are no longer
9:54 extinct. That project is known as
10:21 Everyone on the right, watch your hands,
10:21 our feet laid, short, sliding up, and
10:22 watch your step getting out. Planet
10:24 wash. I've never done this before. About
10:26 to board a train. Oh, this is gonna be
10:28 fun. Ride a train together. How about
10:33 your gift
10:44 between your party and keep your face
10:44 covering on?
10:47 Have you guys ever done this before?
10:49 I have. Mic's done it. Danny's done it.
10:52 Eddie, have you ever done it?
10:53 Okay. It's going to be our first time,
10:55 you and I.
10:56 No spoilers. No spoilers.
10:58 Well, he's not here.
10:59 Oh, okay. I don't want to know what
11:01 happens.
11:02 On the boat
11:14 Just a little bit.
11:14 Wow. Take a look at this. That's cool.
11:16 That's just the restroom.
11:18 Oh.
11:19 Oh my goodness. There's a bunch of goats
11:20 over there.
11:22 Reminds me of the Disneyland goats back
11:25 where Big Thunder Barbecue used to kind
11:27 of be and Big Thunder Trail before they
11:29 turned it into one of the entrances of
11:31 Galaxy's Edge. I miss those goats. I'm
11:34 kind of living vicariously through the
11:36 Walt Disney World goats at Animal
11:38 Kingdom. Being reminded of the Anaheim
11:40 goats.
11:43 I
11:43 see that face, but I'm confused. Have
11:45 you been good or bad?
11:49 That's a bad joke. They're all waiting
11:51 for their afternoon feed. So, John just
11:53 like I see. I can see that moving
11:55 around.
11:56 See that hunger in their faces.
11:58 I thought you guys were making eye
12:00 contact with me for a second, but really
12:02 you just want some cow.
12:04 Are you coming over to say hi? Oh,
12:06 you're just going for the food. Okay.
12:07 See, see how it is.
12:09 Her main trainer is in there and usually
12:10 that's when they get pulled out. Like I
12:12 think she might have for me.
12:20 So, I just the food in her yard and then
12:20 the gate and then I need some chicken.
12:22 Aren't you going to get a meal?
12:45 That's Daisy. until she was born just in
12:45 January. So, she's about 6 almost 7
12:47 months old.
12:49 And then that's a I put some water in
12:51 there. So, she'll probably she'll walk
12:52 around and get all muddy, too. She's
12:53 super cute whenever she does that. And
12:55 Charlotte really loves the attention
12:56 from other animals as well. So, between
12:59 both of the pigs, they'll actually go
13:00 and they'll just lay down inside of a
13:02 pile of hay.
13:03 That's a good idea right there. Staying
13:05 cool in the mud.
13:07 Love that attention.
13:12 Yeah, it's like a little puddle of mud
13:12 there. I've always heard that Animal
13:14 Kingdom is the warmest of the theme park
13:16 properties. And this might drive the
13:18 point home. They're keeping their candy
13:20 bars in a cooler. They do not keep the
13:22 chocolate outdoors cuz it might melt.
13:23 And there's some M&M's and Snickers up
13:25 there also in a frozen cooler. So, what
13:28 is this, Micah? That's the side profile
13:30 of Belaloo the Bear from the Jungle
13:32 Book.
13:32 Oh, yeah. I see I see Belaloo there.
13:34 It's like kind of incorporated into the
13:35 brick work in this in this little
13:37 restaurant area. I would have never
13:38 known about that. Nice. That's Belaloo.
13:40 If you're going to go with the final
13:41 ride, it might as well be final
13:43 attraction, I should say. Expedition. I
13:45 can hear the screaming. They're making
13:47 an announcement right now. And standing
13:49 here inside the the Yeti Museum. It's
13:52 almost like a roadside attraction of
13:55 sorts when it comes to Yeti
13:57 paraphernalia.
13:59 Oh, it's bright. I got to get these
14:00 glasses on.
14:02 Get my glasses. I can't see without my
14:05 glasses. See without my glasses.
14:08 All right. Round two.
14:11 They say the second time is more
14:13 meaningful.
14:14 Okay.
14:15 It's way over there. You can see for
14:17 miles
14:19 and miles. You think the track
14:22 There's no way the tracks out.
14:26 Most likely. Yeah.
14:31 So much.
14:31 There's still hair ties over on that
14:33 side also. And for whatever reason,
14:35 there's hair ties on that. It's going
14:36 backwards. We're going back now. Oh,
14:39 here we go. Oh, yeah.
14:41 Oh,
15:43 I hope it's not over. I only think it's
15:43 over. There he is. Right there.
15:46 I handled that like a pro. How'd you
15:49 guys do back there?
15:50 Yeah, we're still here. I handled it
15:51 like a champ. I was nothing. Walk in the
15:55 park.
