0:02 Welcome everyone. Adam the Woo here
0:02 hanging out on Pluto's corner underneath
0:06 this fantastic piece of Walt Disney
0:11 history. I am here in Burbank,
0:13 California at the Walt Disney Studios
0:16 and I am inviting you to join me
0:18 vicariously
0:20 as I wander the streets of Walt Disney
0:25 History. It's my second channel, Daily
0:27 Vlog channel. It's the daily. Woo. Let
0:30 me get up from the curb and show you a
0:32 much better angle of this fantastic
0:37 sign. Dopey Drive right there. There is
0:41 Dopey
0:43 heading down towards Dopey Drive. And
0:45 that's not Dopey. That is actually Jay.
0:47 But this way is Dopey Drive and this way
0:51 is Mickey Avenue. And they actually have
0:54 it designated animation, multiplane, and
0:57 ink. paint would have been that way and
1:00 then this way in between special effects
1:02 and the layout department would be down
1:05 this way. So, this is actually a really
1:08 cool place. Jay and I are here.
1:10 We having a good time here, Jay. I know
1:12 you're very excited. You have actually
1:14 never been to the Walt Disney Studios
1:16 before.
1:17 My first time.
1:17 I have been here before. This is my
1:19 second time,
1:20 but this is the first time where I've
1:21 actually documented it in an unedited
1:24 vlog form. A lot of people that are
1:26 probably watching this have never
1:27 actually set foot on Walt Disney Studios
1:31 in Burbank, California soil.
1:34 So, I am bringing them into my life and
1:36 into your life.
1:37 What a life.
1:38 And we're just kind of wandering around
1:40 seeing the sights, taking in the sights,
1:43 the sounds, and the smells of Walt
1:48 Disney history. I'm going to try not to
1:51 talk too much during this. I'm going to
1:52 do a lot of moment of quiet quietedness
1:55 as we wander
1:57 Walt Disney Studios.
2:07 Look at this. Of course, Walt Disney now
2:08 owns Walt Disney Studios now owns Star
2:11 Wars. So, they have that plastered above
2:13 the theater here. Then, of course, over
2:16 here is the old animation buildings.
2:20 All of these are original studios that
2:23 Walt Disney himself walked through the
2:26 hallways, peeked through the windows,
2:29 sat on the benches, and actually stomped
2:32 these grounds here in Burbank,
2:35 California. This place is awesome.
2:38 Very, very cool. I thought I would bring
2:40 you an inside peak.
2:44 Walt Disney Studios. We got to see a lot
2:46 of cool stuff out here so far.
2:48 Mhm. Today we got to go into the
2:50 archives.
2:51 Amazing.
2:52 And I actually have posted a picture on
2:55 my Instagram, Adamu on Instagram, of me
2:57 holding a certain something that Walt
2:59 Disney himself held.
3:00 No.
3:01 And you held it, too.
3:02 I did.
3:02 We did not hold it together, but we held
3:04 it at separate times. You post on your
3:06 Instagram. I posted it on my Instagram.
3:07 Yes.
3:08 Very, very awesome. And speaking of
3:09 awesome, look at this. Straight ahead.
3:13 is that fantastic symbol.
3:17 The castle straight ahead, the Walt
3:19 Disney Studios emblem with the castle
3:22 there with the little swoop that goes
3:24 over the top of it. And look at that up
3:26 there. There is a beacon of happiness,
3:30 the Walt Disney Company water tower,
3:34 just hanging out.
3:35 Well, I noticed you're wearing pants.
3:36 I am wearing pants,
3:37 but if you want,
3:38 I figured I would dress accordingly. nor
3:40 wear shorts and flip-flops,
3:41 but today is a special occasion that I
3:44 should wear pants.
3:45 Shorts right there if you want some.
3:46 Oh,
3:47 shorts.
3:47 Okay,
3:48 so normally normally I do wear shorts.
3:51 But today
3:51 you're all fancied up.
3:52 I'm fancied up. By fancy for me means I
3:55 am wearing jeans.
3:56 Jeans and my shoes.
3:59 It's a whoop tuxedo right there.
4:00 And you got some you got some spiffy
4:02 Disneyesque type. Those are the new
4:05 Vans, right?
4:05 Jungle Book.
4:06 Jungle Book Vans. So, a lot of this
4:09 might look familiar. It was used in a
4:11 lot of old documentaries about Walt and
4:13 also in the recent film that came out a
4:15 few years ago, Saving Mr. Banks. You'll
4:16 notice a lot about that. No spoilers,
4:19 but I will be maybe possibly in the
4:22 future designating a video about Saving
4:25 Mr. Banks. So, we will not talk about
4:26 that much today, but I wanted to show
4:28 that. I wanted to show of course the
4:31 Mickey AB, Dopey Drive, all that, but I
4:33 also wanted to end this vlog at the end
4:35 of the road. That's something a lot of
4:37 people
4:38 who love Walt Disney and the history of
4:40 Walt Disney will actually enjoy. You
4:44 were excited when I first showed you and
4:45 I said that's the spot.
4:47 No words.
4:47 And those that are actually watching
4:49 will probably share the same sentiment.
4:51 I touched it.
4:53 You touched it. Yeah.
4:54 Oh, I was talking about something else.
4:56 But you're right. I forgot to mention
4:57 that. We will show that as well when we
5:00 get up there. And what am I referring
5:01 to? lies straight ahead past these
5:04 trees,
5:06 past these gentlemen that are walking
5:08 towards the truck that is straight ahead
5:11 with the door opened. Straight ahead up
5:14 here on the left hand side is Walt
5:19 Disney's original office. Walt Disney's
5:24 office. Right up there looking at his
5:27 right up there. Walt Disney would have
5:29 been up there in that corner. I think it
5:31 was actually more towards the corner. I
5:32 don't think it stretched all the way
5:34 across. I could be wrong. Now, I am not
5:36 a factorian. Is that a word? It is not
5:39 a factual torian, but basically what I
5:41 have heard from research, doing my own
5:44 research and hearsay and anything that
5:46 is incorrect is Jay's fault.
5:47 Your Columbbo like research,
5:48 my colbo like well non-C Columbo. You're
5:51 my research is you just telling me what
5:53 you think you know and other people
5:54 telling me what they know. But
5:55 basically, right up here was Walt
5:58 Disney's
6:00 office right there in that window right
6:03 there. Right there. Walt Disney himself.
6:07 Many of the evenings and mornings
6:09 probably looked out that window
6:12 and below him was actually where the
6:14 Sherman brothers who wrote a vast
6:16 majority of the original music not only
6:18 for Disneyland rides but also for movies
6:21 like Mary Poppins etc. their office
6:24 where they had their piano was right
6:26 there. So they would have been playing
6:29 like feed the birds all inside of there
6:32 and Walt would have been up there and
6:34 many of times at night Walt would get
6:36 done with his work. He would hear the
6:38 Sherman brothers playing their I know
6:39 you're getting a little emotional. I am.
6:40 He would be playing they playing the
6:42 music and he would come down the stairs
6:44 and he would just listen to them play
6:46 and this whole area of road would be
6:49 filled with the sounds of the Sherman
6:52 brothers practicing and fulfilling and
6:55 actually performing the music that you
6:57 know in a lot of movies and TV shows and
7:00 Disney attractions and rides and it all
7:02 happened right there.
7:04 He could have stand right here listening
7:06 to them play the piano right here. And
7:08 he was standing crazy. And you can
7:09 almost if you listen closely. Listen.
7:11 Listen.
7:13 You can almost hear some birds being fed
7:16 through the joys of music. Feed the
7:17 birds. Was it tuffins? Tuffins. Tuppins.
7:22 I am not a Sherman brother.
7:25 Hear that? Oh, was that you?
7:27 Was
7:33 someone fed him? Oh, magic. Magic is
7:33 actually happening right now. And take a
7:36 look at this. This is actually the
7:37 Eisner building which actually was built
7:40 post Walt Disney but this building is
7:42 actually being held up by the seven
7:45 dwarfs. 1 2 3 4 5 six and of course
7:49 Dopey is the strongest up there holding
7:52 the very top. That's right. Come on.
7:54 Hold it up there. Come on. He is the one
7:57 holding the Eisner building. But let's
7:59 actually get a side shot of here of
8:02 Walt's office right up there and the
8:05 room here where the Sherman brothers
8:08 actually performed. It is pretty
8:10 amazing. Let's just do a little moment
8:11 of quietness now and look at this here.
8:15 Look at this. And the lights are on up
8:18 there.
8:19 The lights are on. Now, see the train
8:21 station,
8:21 right?
8:22 At Disneyland, they always leave a light
8:24 on. Not at the train station, but at the
8:27 Walt's apartment above the firehouse at
8:29 Disneyland. They always leave that light
8:30 on as a memory to Walt. And I do not
8:33 think they actually do that here. They
8:34 do not leave that on. But what a kind of
8:37 a coincidence and an exciting joy that
8:39 actually the lights are on.
8:41 No other window.
8:42 Only in that window. The lights
8:44 are on and not in the other ones. So
8:46 that's very cool. And the last thing I
8:48 want to end it with is what Jay was
8:50 talking about earlier when he said, "I
8:51 actually touched it." What were you
8:52 referring to, Jay? There might be a
8:54 certain statue or two, a statue that a
8:58 lot of people will know from their
9:00 visits probably at Walt Disney World,
9:02 original Magic Kingdom. And at
9:04 Disneyland, there is a thing called the
9:07 partners statue. And basically what the
9:10 partner statue is is Walt Disney and his
9:13 creation Mickey Mouse. And out of those
9:16 two, there is one on the East Coast and
9:18 West Coast. Those you cannot actually
9:19 get up close and personal with. You
9:21 cannot touch them. However, here at Walt
9:24 Disney Studios is the only place that I
9:27 know of in the world where you can
9:28 actually stand next to touch and get
9:31 your photo up close and personal with
9:34 Walt and Mickey right here.
9:41 con.
9:41 An un abashed, untouched, untarnished,
9:47 uncovered,
9:48 unraised
9:50 floor level Walt Disney and Mickey.
9:57 That is so cool. So, normally everywhere
10:00 else at the theme parks, they have
10:01 bushes around it. It is raised up. But
10:03 here, you can actually touch Walt. You
10:06 can actually touch Mickey here. give
10:08 them a little kiss on the nose if you
10:10 wanted to and get a very very up close
10:13 personal look. And it looks like they
10:14 actually put this and they built this on
10:17 Walt's 100th anniversary, his birthday,
10:20 which was December 5th, 2001. And they
10:23 actually put this and they built this
10:25 here and it's been here ever since.
10:28 Sitting here in front of the Eisner
10:30 building
10:31 which is actually really cool. And we
10:32 cannot forget the other person who
10:34 created the Walt Disney Empire. Walt was
10:37 the dreamer. He was the doer. But there
10:39 also was a person who handled the
10:41 financial aspect of Walt's dream and
10:44 that was his brother Roy. And they have
10:46 actually built an homage to him as well,
10:49 which actually is right here. And he is
10:52 sitting next to Minnie Mouse. And they
10:55 actually do not have this at Disneyland,
10:57 but if you go to Walt Disney World,
10:58 Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, they
11:01 actually have the partner statue which
11:03 is over there. But then they also have
11:05 Roy and Minnie
11:08 as well. As you're walking into Main
11:10 Street, depending on what time of the
11:11 year it is during holidays, they move it
11:13 over near the firehouse, but they
11:15 actually have it here year round all the
11:17 time. As well as all the handprints of
11:20 all the Disney legends all around right
11:25 over here. And there's one last quick
11:27 little thing that I want to show you
11:28 over here. Of course, the sorcerers wand
11:31 right here. The sorcerer's wand. And
11:33 someone told me about a little secret,
11:35 almost like a hidden Mickey, but it's
11:36 actually another mouse, not Mickey, it's
11:38 another mouse that is hidden right here.
11:41 So, if you ever have the chance, if you
11:43 are one of the lucky people to actually
11:45 set foot on this property, take a look
11:49 at this and come around the back of
11:52 this, come around the back of this
11:54 statue and look up inside of this reel
11:58 and look right here.
12:01 There is actually a mouse right there.
12:04 Do you see him? You see him right there?
12:08 There is a mouse up in there.
12:17 I don't know if you can see him or not,
12:17 but there is a mouse hidden inside of
12:20 that reel of film next to the steamboat
12:23 Willie. Just come around the back side
12:26 and find the mouse.
12:30 Pretty cool. It's very cool to be out
12:32 here. It's very interesting how life
12:34 works. Certain things happen in your
12:36 life that kind of take your breath away.
12:38 You're not joyous things, very things
12:40 that are very disheartening decisions
12:43 that you make and then the actions that
12:46 are bestowed upon you because of the
12:48 decisions. And it's very interesting
12:49 because as time goes on, things change,
12:53 life changes, and you take the good with
12:55 the bad. Sometimes they're bad,
12:57 sometimes some days are good. And today
12:59 is a very good day because I am here at
13:02 Walt Disney Studios
13:04 under the backdrop of that fantastic
13:07 water tower right next to where Walt
13:10 Disney himself had his office and the
13:13 Sherman brothers sang their song and the
13:16 only partner statue that you can
13:19 actually walk up to and touch anywhere
13:21 in the world. It is a good day. I am
13:23 blessed. Life is good. I love you guys
13:26 and I'll see you tomorrow. Bye-bye.
