0:05 Starting off the day smack dab downtown
0:05 in the one and only
0:07 Cleveland,
0:09 Ohio.
0:20 Majestic. Welcome everyone. Adam the Woo
0:20 for score and 7 years ago there was not
0:24 such a thing as vlogging and that might
0:26 actually be a good thing but there was
0:29 an Abraham Lincoln and there is a
0:33 special guest once again. Rebecca is
0:35 here.
0:37 It's my second channel, daily vlog
0:39 channel. It's the Daily Wraham. I should
0:43 have brought Man, I should have brought
0:44 I should have brought Wubraham.
0:46 Oh yeah. Mhm.
0:47 Dang it. I I left him in the RV.
0:49 I'm getting a very Omega Man with
0:52 Charlton H vibe right now. There's
0:55 hardly anyone out here.
0:58 Bizarre. There he is. The king of rock
1:02 and roll himself. Made of completely out
1:05 of wood. You look great back there
1:08 behind that glass. Oh, thank you. Thank
1:11 you very much. At first glance, I
1:12 thought this cyclops wearing normal
1:14 sunglasses was taking a selfie. But
1:17 that's not an iPhone. That's a coffee.
1:19 You know what? I want coffee. Good old
1:22 yum yums. I got my caffeine. And what'd
1:25 you get?
1:25 A maple donut.
1:27 How is it?
1:28 Yummy.
1:29 This pickle's definitely attacking the
1:30 day with all cylinders. Climbing the
1:33 side of that building. You You're so
1:36 crazy, Pickle. This is Playhouse Square.
1:38 And while you might be enamored with
1:40 that amazing sign, it is currently
1:43 overshadowed
1:45 by the largest chandelier of the outdoor
1:48 persuasion anywhere
1:50 in existence.
1:53 Look at that thing. Dangling 44 ft in
1:56 the air. 4,000
1:59 crystals make up that 20 foot tall
2:03 bohemoth of a chandelier. If that thing
2:06 tumbled down on a vehicle, there might
2:09 be a lawsuit. But what a story that
2:11 Watch out. Watch out, sir. There's a
2:12 large chandelier directly above you. It
2:16 stayed stable. Thankfully, it stays.
2:18 Watch out. Watch out. There's a
2:19 chandelier right above your head. Okay,
2:22 good. We're safe. We're safe. There is
2:25 quite a bit of art in this city, and
2:28 this is no exception. deemed and named
2:32 the politician created in 1995
2:37 fallen under a little bit of
2:39 controversy. The city did not know where
2:41 to actually place this. So, it ended up
2:45 in this field
2:47 next to this warehouse. And as best I
2:50 can tell,
2:52 those are his eyes and his hairline and
2:55 his mouth. And at one time the wheel
2:58 moved and it made some noise. Oh,
3:01 there's a bow tie. He's got a bow tie as
3:04 well. And if you look closely, all along
3:06 the fence line are slightly derogatory
3:11 words about political figures. Just some
3:14 examples of the lettering. Read my hips.
3:19 Contradiction. Those are the types of
3:21 phrases that encompass the fence line.
3:23 Like many other areas, there is a tour
3:26 bus, but this one is in the form of a
3:28 trolley called the Lolli Trolley. I
3:32 always contemplate paying for one of
3:34 those tours to drive me around the city,
3:36 but then I figured I could just kind of
3:37 do it on my own and go at my own pace.
3:39 But one day, one day I'll do one of
3:41 those types of tours. It is not a common
3:43 occurrence to have an Uber drop you off
3:46 at a cemetery, but that is what just
3:49 happened. the Lake View
3:53 Cemetery. There are some very unique
3:55 headstones
3:57 out on this property. The first being a
3:59 statue of this gentleman by the name of
4:02 Sergy
4:03 Gaideno. I think that's how you
4:05 pronounce his name. He's got his guitar
4:11 and he's standing over his final resting
4:13 place.
4:16 That's pretty cool. Allan Frerieded was
4:18 the DJ who coined the phrase rock and
4:21 roll. So if you've ever used that or
4:24 heard that in the vernacular of society,
4:27 you can thank him for coming up with it.
4:30 But the interesting thing is the
4:32 backside of his headstone looks like a
4:34 jukebox.
4:36 Check
4:38 that out.
4:40 Something you don't see every day. Make
4:42 a selection. According to this, I can
4:44 make a selection and I can pick from a
4:47 handful of tunes.
4:54 Very unique.
4:54 I like that someone has placed a guitar
4:56 pick and a handful of rocks all along
5:00 the base of the structure as well as
5:03 that's a coin right there. Someone wants
5:06 to play a tune on the juke box. You got
5:09 a coin?
5:10 Quarter.
5:10 Putting a quarter down. I could probably
5:12 get about five songs for that.
5:13 You could. What song are you going to
5:15 choose?
5:17 Something by Elvis or Buddy Holly.
5:20 A word to the wise, if you see geese
5:22 with their children, do not get any
5:24 closer than I am because they will, if I
5:27 were to walk a couple steps closer, they
5:30 would attack. I mean, they would attack
5:32 me generally anyway. That's happened in
5:33 the past, but they're more inclined to
5:35 do so when they are shielding their
5:38 young. I have to admit, I did not think
5:40 that Elliot Ness was laid to rest here
5:42 in Cleveland. When I think of that name,
5:44 I think of Chicago with Al Capone and
5:48 also The Untouchables where Kevin Cosner
5:51 portrayed Mr. Ness. And it looks like
5:54 someone has placed a beer bottle. Oh,
5:58 check that out. The name of the beer is
6:01 Elliot Ness Logger.
6:05 Interesting. This is something I've
6:07 never seen before. The family name is
6:09 not carved in granite but in this
6:11 boulder itself and the graves encompass
6:16 the rock and the names do not bear the
6:20 last name but just their first names all
6:24 here in the family plot
6:31 next to the rock. I really like this one
6:31 as well and definitely not something you
6:32 see too often. And the angel is embedded
6:35 inside the headstone, not protruding
6:39 out. You can see they carved a spot to
6:44 insert the angel figure. It is also
6:48 unusual to see an inscription detailing
6:50 how someone passed away. This one
6:53 signifies that they drowned. And check
6:56 this out. The side of this cup bears the
7:00 likeness of a face,
7:09 a man with a beard
7:09 right there on the side
7:12 of that cup. And now for one of the most
7:14 famous graves out here. Are you ready?
7:18 Yes.
7:19 For the angel
7:21 of death. This is hauntingly
7:25 moderately well slightly overly
7:30 moderately terrifying.
7:33 Oh my goodness. Right here at the
7:36 Hasserat
7:38 family plot.
7:41 This is incredible.
7:43 And the elements of weather over the
7:46 years give her the appearance that she
7:49 is crying.
7:51 This is I'm not going to lie. This is
7:54 This is kind of creepy. Would you say
7:56 it's kind of creepy in uh in a lot of
7:58 ways?
7:59 It's very heavy metal.
8:01 You could you could say that.
8:04 You could definitely definitely say
8:06 that. The size of this place is so
8:08 expansive.
8:10 They have a bridge going across a
8:14 reservoir that leads to the other side.
8:18 Now, we're not allowed to walk across
8:19 that. It is fenced off. We have to walk
8:23 that way to get across the hill. But
8:26 this is very interesting. You don't see
8:28 this.
8:30 I've never seen this in a cemetery. I
8:33 must be honest. And right here at the
8:34 base of this tower that resembles a
8:37 castle lies the 20th president of the
8:40 United States, James A. Garfield. The
8:44 angel type figures above the gold
8:46 wreaths symbolize that all four corners
8:49 of the nation were in mourning on
8:51 hearing that the president had passed
8:53 away. You can go to the level where you
8:55 see the rail and you look down. It's a
8:57 great view on top of the statue. You get
8:59 to look at the windows from different
9:01 angles. You can also go higher up and
9:03 outside the balcony.
9:05 Now, you would think this would go
9:07 without saying,
9:09 but please do not play Pokemon Go
9:13 inside.
9:15 the memorial on the way down to his
9:18 crypt. I was informed upon entering that
9:21 this is the only US president that you
9:24 can see the casket of in person. Him and
9:28 his wife laid to rest there and his
9:31 daughter and son-in-law.
9:34 Their ashes are in the urns
9:38 in front of the graves.
9:46 only served 200 days in office. He was
9:46 shot leading to an assassination. He
9:50 died 80 days later.
9:56 President Garfield
9:56 right there. This really is incredible
9:59 that you are allowed to just wander all
10:01 around in here looking down upon his
10:04 statue. Or you could continue up above
10:09 the inside of the building. up onto the
10:12 roof in the balcony and overlook the
10:15 entire city. Be a little more convenient
10:17 if they had an elevator. But we have
10:21 made it to the top. Look at this.
10:26 Wow.
10:31 This is awesome. He certainly has the
10:32 best view of the city from up here. The
10:35 name of the cemetery is Lake View. Now
10:37 I'm realizing how it got its name
10:39 because that is Lake Eerie right over
10:43 there on the horizon. You can see it
10:45 very well from the pinnacle point of
10:49 this tower. And just adding to the
10:51 experience and to the ambiance,
10:55 these bricks, these tiles are slightly
10:58 uneven.
11:00 Freaked me out a little bit when I was
11:02 walking across them. Just just a little
11:04 bit. What looks like the Washington
11:06 Monument in fact is not. It is the grave
11:10 of John Rockefeller
11:12 who was born in New York died in Florida
11:16 but laid to rest here in Ohio. Highly
11:19 regarded as one of the richest business
11:22 owners in the world. He lived to 97
11:26 years old. That's a pretty good long
11:28 life for sure. Raymond Johnson Chapman
11:31 was the first and only professional
11:32 baseball player to be killed by a pitch
11:35 during game play. And because of that
11:37 accident, went on to change a lot of the
11:40 rules and regulations in the MLB,
11:42 including the initial banning of the
11:45 spitball. And three decades later, he
11:48 was used as an example to create the
11:50 batting helmet. In 1920 when the
11:52 incident happened, it was common place
11:54 for a pitcher to dirty up and scuff up a
11:56 ball to make the projectile on the way
11:58 to home plate a little more erratic.
12:01 When contact was made, the ball bounced
12:04 towards the pitcher. He threw it to
12:06 first base thinking that it had struck
12:08 the bat, but in reality, it had struck
12:11 the hitter. I have visited a lot of
12:14 cemeteries in my day, and this one has
12:16 to be one of the most unique. The guy at
12:20 the presidential memorial was telling me
12:23 a h 100,000 people are buried here. Just
12:26 ordered another Uber. That's him pulling
12:28 up in the gray car. Probably very
12:30 confused on why he's picking us up at a
12:33 cemetery. Arrived now at Wahberers owned
12:37 by Donnie and Mark who are from Boston.
12:40 I'm surprised there's one of these in
12:41 Cleveland, but going to get some dinner.
12:43 Adam the water.
13:21 Come on, horsey. Help me out. Say it.
13:21 Say it.
13:24 Rover.
