adam the woo here as the recording of

this tuesday february 8th 2022
0:11
0:11
the third
0:13
part of the hellraiser series not the
0:16
sequel but the sequel to the sequel if
0:19
you will and the first
0:21
of that horror franchise ever to be
0:24
filmed in the united states
0:25
took place in the greater greensboro
0:28
area high point
0:31
as well
0:32
and i'm gonna
0:33
show the locations
0:35
i'm gonna go around and see what remains
0:37
now quite a bit fictionally
0:39
i would be standing in new york city
0:42
but it was not in nyc it was in north
0:44
carolina who knew
0:46
i have procured myself a piping hot
0:48
caffeinated beverage i will be looking
0:50
be on the lookout for pinhead
0:52
and the cinnabites
0:55
i'm inviting you to join me
0:57
cheers
1:03
shall you now i'll be showing this a
1:03
little out of sequence out of continuity
1:06
just because i'm starting here and we'll
1:08
be heading over into greensboro i am now
1:10
in high point
1:11
at this furniture factory which stood in
1:16
for the club owned by jp
1:18
who is not a nice guy
1:20
jp monroe
1:23
this building has changed quite a bit
1:25
where joey short for joanne nicknamed
1:28
for joanne turned this very corner
1:32
and in the film itself you can see the
1:34
street signs
1:36
and very interesting is right up here is
1:38
where the entrance to the boiler room
1:41
was
1:42
now this road this is the corner of
1:43
commerce
1:44
and elm street
1:47
not nightmare nom street
1:49
even though part three is a vast
1:52
departure especially with the attitude
1:55
of pinhead he reminds me a lot of freddy
1:57
krueger maybe that's why i kind of enjoy
1:59
the third one a lot of people do not
2:00
like it
2:01
but i find a little weird enjoyment in
2:04
it
2:05
on how campy and almost comical
2:07
it is at times how happy he was in
2:09
jovial
2:11
compared to the first two
2:12
could be just me
2:14
so kind of a it's just interesting that
2:16
this first spot
2:17
and other spots even over in greensboro
2:19
are on
2:20
real-life elm streets
2:23
kind of reminds me of freddy krueger
2:24
pinhead reminds me of freddy krueger in
2:26
this one now when joey turns that corner
2:27
once again that building down there has
2:29
been redone she's looking for her
2:30
cameraman
2:32
whose vehicle is parked right over here
2:34
his name was doc
2:36
and right in front of where doc's car
2:38
was was the entrance to the boiler room
2:41
which was shown
2:42
right here in fact
2:44
this fence was not there at the time
2:47
but this water cylinder can be seen
2:51
and right about here was
2:53
the little archway
2:56
that was like burning with some flames
3:01
just to give a little perspective there
3:01
is doc's vehicle parked on the side now
3:04
the stairs that lead up those metal
3:06
stairs have been removed but down at the
3:08
far end is another little tiny set of
3:10
stairs
3:12
that leads up to the little
3:17
a little fire
3:17
escape there
3:18
so basically the angle would have been
3:20
like this now the car that just pulled
3:21
up beside me is the owner of the
3:23
building she said she'll be back in
3:24
about 20 minutes and she said she's
3:26
going to let me inside so there's some
3:27
spots i didn't think i was going to be
3:28
able to get to
3:30
and if she does come back i'll be able
3:32
to get inside which would be
3:34
pretty dang cool
3:36
and joey parked in front
3:38
of doc's car right up here
3:41
where this antique and design center is
3:42
now
3:44
walked around opened the door calling
3:46
for her partner
3:47
she was a newscaster he was the
3:50
and then walked right along here where
3:53
the entrance to the boiler room club
3:55
owned by jp very popular
3:58
place was that archway
4:01
had the fire across it spelled out
4:03
boiler room you'll also notice the the
4:05
color palette and everything
4:06
on the stairwells up there all that
4:08
still looks the same 30 years later okay
4:10
notice this window
4:12
with the kind of slats on the glass
4:14
window
4:15
and all that and where the utility boxes
4:17
is just overhead and this big metal bay
4:19
door
4:20
that big metal bay door has been changed
4:23
to that glass door
4:25
but here is that very unique and
4:27
distinctive window with the
4:29
little slats going down and all those
4:31
electrical boxes were right here where
4:33
these little metal
4:35
holders are
4:40
and you can tell by the incline of the
4:40
road
4:42
as well this is commerce
4:44
corner of elman commerce now even though
4:46
i mentioned how the stairwells are
4:47
painted red still
4:49
back then back in 1992
4:51
the little water tank was painted blue
4:54
so between the water tank and where the
4:56
fence now is and you see over here on
4:58
the left is like some electrical
5:00
well big
5:02
electrical outlets
5:04
or boxes
5:05
those have been updated but they are
5:07
these green ones
5:08
so right here
5:10
in this precise spot was the entrance
5:12
the little stairwell leading up
5:14
they had some stairs right along here
5:18
two or three going up
5:20
and the entrance in
5:21
right in there
5:22
and then the cut stopped and went to
5:24
another angle
5:26
up inside the building itself i'm also
5:28
noticing there were a couple pillars
5:29
that the
5:30
little archway with the fire was on top
5:32
of you see the stairwell there
5:35
next to doc's vehicle going up the side
5:36
of that incline notice those two
5:38
concrete pillars
5:40
with the stairwell with the fire
5:42
this is one of those pillar holders
5:47
because it's in the same spot
5:49
they probably just use this i don't know
5:51
whatever happened to the other one that
5:53
was there
6:09
this spot is also known as market square
6:09
top of the hill those are the cross
6:11
streets there oh there it is
6:13
there's the staircase that was pulled
6:15
down so they didn't remove it
6:17
that's the one that was pulled down it's
6:19
just kind of put away i've just walked
6:20
down the hill and turning that corner i
6:23
just want to show
6:25
how unusual this area almost looks like
6:27
a hollywood backlog it's not it's a
6:29
furniture factory both even have the
6:32
cranes there a lot of crane crane angles
6:34
in that film as well
6:37
i feel like i'm on a hollywood back lot
6:39
and that right up there's elm street so
6:41
if you take elm turn this corner
6:44
and then turn this other corner that's
6:45
the spot here in high point
6:48
i'm waiting patiently
6:51
it's kind of eerie it's so quiet out
6:53
here
7:05
open to other parts so this this is
7:05
really called the boiler room
7:07
wow
7:09
because in the movie the club's called
7:10
the boiler room
7:19
and then so where i think you're talking
7:19
about
7:34
because there was a moment when the
7:34
character's name is jp he's kind of
7:36
looking over this rail
7:37
and i think this was the entrance to the
7:39
club here
7:44
so this might have been his apartment
7:44
right over in here maybe so and then or
7:46
it could have been something with this
7:48
you know this area back in here and then
7:50
if you look through here you can see the
7:53
top skylights that we just walked past
7:56
we just use all this for storage okay
7:59
um
8:04
but if you look out oh yeah that's it
8:04
right out there yeah
8:07
that's it where she's walking
8:08
and there's like a red staircase she
8:10
walks up to
8:23
i think it's this one right here
8:26
okay there's probably that one back
8:28
there
8:29
yeah
8:31
hey this all looks this is it looks
8:32
exactly the same
8:33
i'm sure it hadn't changed much
8:46
i should have been standing right
8:46
underneath that pipe looking up that
8:47
staircase and that's where the swinging
8:49
door is
8:51
that is awesome
8:58
yeah that's the angle right there where
8:58
she's just like standing right
9:00
staircase
9:05
i can see why they filmed up here though
9:05
this is pretty
9:06
pretty neat looking
9:09
and there she is right there there's the
9:10
angle her looking up at that door
9:13
and then here's the sunroof the little
9:15
sun windows where she's walking across
9:17
right before she looks up the staircase
9:18
yeah just going off of a hunch i think
9:21
this was his apartment
9:22
and he kind of looked over
9:24
and the bar area was down there
9:26
obviously it's been repurposed but
9:29
but this angle here looks very familiar
9:31
see if i can find a kind of match it up
9:33
once i get back to my car this angle
9:36
where he's kind of looking down
9:40
all right i'm looking at it now and
9:41
these are the same it's not only the
9:43
same bar
9:45
well the bars from around this corner
9:47
but also the same bar down there when
9:48
pinhead shows up and kind of destroys
9:51
everything and everyone
9:53
and the one
9:55
the one guess is launched off of this
9:57
railing
9:58
and goes right down here there's some
10:00
serious havoc being reeked in here
10:03
yeah this is definitely a spot after
10:05
after re-watching the clips
10:13
just amazing that's the same bar right
10:13
there same one that they were behind
10:21
and the fact that it really is called
10:24
i was sick not expecting that
10:27
all right that just
10:30
happened
10:31
i have to say a huge
10:33
huge
10:34
thank you to her for letting me in there
10:36
and showing me around showing me the
10:38
little section there on the roof and all
10:39
that and where his apartment was where
10:41
the actual bar was
10:43
i just thought i was gonna see this the
10:44
interest of the boy in the room here and
10:46
that property is only utilized a couple
10:48
of times a year for events and vendors
10:51
furniture vendors it's not even open to
10:53
the public and not even open to those
10:55
who want to buy anything except a couple
10:56
times a year i have now taken the
10:58
20-minute commute
11:00
in my car
11:02
to downtown greensboro and look at the
11:04
name of this street as well
11:06
i will be crossing over
11:08
another elm
11:10
right here 500 block
11:13
to east lewis
11:15
where the intro which stood in for new
11:17
york city
11:18
took place right down here past that no
11:21
outlet sign not new york city at all
11:25
north carolina
11:27
and right over here is one of the first
11:29
moments in the film
11:36
and it looks as if the pyramid gallery
11:36
logo
11:37
is still here on the side
11:40
what the heck
11:43
three decades later
11:45
this still has the pyramid gallery logo
11:53
that's interesting
12:01
this was the antique well art museum
12:01
where jp showed up at the beginning
12:03
and got the big sculpture the turning
12:06
sculpture
12:07
look at this it's the same windows
12:10
down here same stair even this
12:13
is noticeable when you watch it this
12:15
little crack in the pavement
12:22
and they have left the little marquee up
12:22
on the side that says pyramid gallery
12:25
with the pyramid now there he is walking
12:27
in of course they had some shades pulled
12:29
down
12:30
no shades anymore but
12:32
i am really surprised that they have
12:35
left this exactly how it was with the
12:37
words in the window and everything
12:40
obviously this has not really been used
12:43
in 30 years
12:44
but he pulled up right there little
12:46
cigarette he smoked a lot through the
12:47
whole entire film
12:49
pulled his car up a little close up of
12:50
his boots down here
12:52
and then panned up
12:54
and this was used a little bit later
12:56
about the girls showed up and the door
12:58
was locked
12:59
and across the way the guy said that no
13:01
one's been here in a month which was not
13:02
true and they went around the back see
13:05
if they can get in the back yeah check
13:06
out there above the stairs the crack in
13:09
the pavement right at the top of the
13:10
stairs when they show up they're
13:11
knocking
13:12
no answer to the door
13:14
that's the same crack and up here on the
13:16
side i'm noticing this little light
13:18
whatever the mount is on the side of the
13:20
brick that's been removed and i would
13:22
imagine they used a set as the interiors
13:25
however
13:26
when he walks in
13:28
and he's kind of just window shopping
13:30
and you see from the interiors looking
13:32
out
13:32
they did recreate it with the windows
13:34
with this same angle
13:36
like this
13:37
when he walks in so it's a possibility
13:39
they use the interior peeking in the
13:41
window this is what it looks like inside
13:45
right about over there in that corner i
13:48
am definitely leaning towards the fact
13:50
that it was a set but if it was the
13:52
interior i just wanted to showcase
13:54
what the real interiors look like
14:01
and it's the same wooden doors
14:01
these same wooden doors that were
14:02
painted green you can even see the green
14:04
paint has peeled off
14:06
over the years
14:08
these are the same doors walking in and
14:10
out of
14:14
i just love the look you can see the
14:14
reflection of the pyramid gallery there
14:16
reflection off the glass
14:18
that's 30 years old that's like
14:21
a movie prop in real life just like
14:23
mounted on the side of this window and
14:25
it's very interesting too there are some
14:26
cigarettes down here i guess he was here
14:29
smoking
14:30
yeah those are those are probably not
14:32
left over but just kind of a fun fact
14:34
when the gentleman's walking his dog
14:36
talking to the two ladies from across
14:38
the way
14:39
you can see the greensboro signs
14:40
underneath there there was like a
14:41
pull-down door and he's walking his dog
14:44
right over in that section
14:46
angle was kind of like this of course
14:48
because it stood in for new york city
14:49
they had to paint over where it says
14:51
greensboro they painted like warehouse
14:53
over where it now says greensboro but
14:55
that's that's the same angle there and
14:57
then he's looking back across at them
14:59
standing there while he's walking his
15:00
dog and if you look very faintly you can
15:02
see a mural over here on the side of the
15:04
brick and a coca-cola sign that kind of
15:07
makes its way into the frame
15:09
getting from the little little puppy
15:11
standpoint
15:13
down below there
15:15
i'll show this angle as well from the
15:16
from the ground or at least as close as
15:18
i could because this car is over off to
15:20
my side is kind of obscuring the exact
15:21
precise angle but
15:23
but that's it that coca-cola side's
15:24
still there look at that
15:31
the pyramid gallery
15:31
all these years later still exists this
15:34
is peeking in the back window here
15:39
not
15:39
well i'm assuming not where they
15:42
filmed the interiors when they were kind
15:43
of browsing i just
15:45
kicked all these little pebbles down
15:46
here where they were browsing through
15:47
the paperwork
15:49
trying to get some clues together none
15:51
of these windows really match up
15:53
obviously a studio set of some sort
15:57
when they walked around the back they
15:58
would have walked around the back here
16:00
you don't see these doors in the movie
16:02
but just showing around the back of the
16:03
property here as well
16:06
and this building has seen better days
16:08
all boarded up the windows
16:11
and here's the opening moment after the
16:13
opening credit sequence they matt
16:15
painted the new york city skyline
16:18
over this little street in north
16:20
carolina right over there see that's
16:22
that's where i'm standing right now i
16:24
kind of get this angle too with the
16:25
superimposed and matte painted and
16:28
new york city skyscrapers gotta love
16:30
movie magic
16:32
you would never know it wasn't new york
16:34
city well now we know over time you know
16:38
it's oh i hear a train
16:40
adding in some ambiance of a train going
16:42
by behind me
16:48
nyc nope
16:50
greensboro to be exact about a half a
16:52
mile up the way still on the same road
16:55
elm
16:56
i am in downtown greensboro now
17:00
not too far from where i just was
17:01
we're a very climactic scene and the
17:04
culmination and beginning of that scene
17:06
is right here on the corner of february
17:08
1
17:09
and south elm
17:10
next to the very historic
17:13
former woolworths
17:15
where they sit in
17:17
back in 1960 or 59 or 60 haven't
17:20
it's on this very same road
17:23
this will have the woolworth sign and
17:25
the counter is still in there
17:28
but the scene from the film happened
17:30
down at the end of the woolworth company
17:33
sign down there at the end i'll
17:34
kind of frame it all up she started
17:36
running out right over here
17:38
in fact this fence
17:41
still here after all these years
17:44
and this electrical box they did a
17:46
really good job at not showing
17:49
during the filming of the fw world wars
17:52
company but you do see this awning as
17:54
well as that tiny little awning
17:56
protruding out right over there and
17:58
there was a fire hydrant that has been
18:00
removed that was right here along in
18:03
this section
18:04
you know with three decades later i
18:05
guess they removed the fire hydrant
18:07
which is kind of strange usually fire
18:08
hydrants
18:10
are not removed but she starts by
18:12
running up this little incline and you
18:14
can see in the distance the very unique
18:17
architecture of that building as she
18:19
turns this corner
18:21
and as she turns the corner
18:23
there is a cab right here that almost
18:25
hits her and the cab goes over and hits
18:27
a pole
18:28
in the general area where that was it
18:30
was a fake pole that fell over but you
18:32
could see these windows in that big bay
18:34
door over there now the jewelers awning
18:36
has been taken down there but there's
18:38
the pole the cab hit
18:40
and there was another corner that the
18:42
sidewalk has been extended
18:44
you could see any matching up
18:46
once the cab hits that pole you'll see
18:48
what i mean but it looks a lot different
18:50
and if you look closely at that moment
18:52
there was a cheerwine machine right
18:53
underneath the february one entrance
18:56
awning there that extended a lot farther
18:57
out and that building off in the
18:59
distance the archway of the door is
19:00
still the same
19:02
that looks so different on this from
19:03
this side but the fake pole that the
19:05
cabbie hit was right about here under
19:07
these sets of windows three windows and
19:09
one boarded up window which would have
19:12
been right here
19:14
directly behind where i was just
19:15
standing and you can see there's the
19:17
three windows and the boarded up window
19:19
so fake pole here
19:21
smashed into that and then there is an
19:22
angle here
19:24
kind of low down showing
19:26
the cab kind of crushed into the pole
19:28
and where she is fighting off the
19:30
electric wires
19:31
that are kind of all circulating around
19:33
her head she's flailing her arms right
19:35
here in front of these glass doors glass
19:37
doors have been replaced
19:38
but this is the spot where although she
19:41
was trying to be almost being
19:42
electrocuted it was right about here
19:44
where the fire hydrant was where the
19:46
water was being emitted very forcefully
19:49
upward cheerwine machine was right there
19:52
and i could tell that because that's
19:53
where the awning started and also
19:56
the architecture of the concrete there
19:59
right along there
20:00
and the way he kind of faced that way
20:03
it looks the same too if you watch that
20:04
scene also when the cab driver gets out
20:06
of the car
20:07
the dj or the guy called cd head flails
20:12
the cd into the noggin of the cab driver
20:15
but before that joey's running along
20:17
here the water
20:18
is just going at a very rapid pace along
20:21
the ground sparks flying everywhere
20:24
and right over here she turns this
20:26
corner
20:27
at this sign that says myers she could
20:30
be seen right here
20:32
right next to this very unique little
20:35
pillar
20:36
and this is
20:38
the same exact little drain where the
20:40
chains pop out and try to get her she's
20:43
standing right across the way in front
20:44
of that meyer's side where the chains
20:46
are underneath there they had all the
20:48
props set up
20:50
and they go towards her at a rapid pace
20:52
so they almost catch her
20:54
right there but they slipped out they
20:56
slipped off
20:57
of her skin and clothes
20:58
and she was able to kind of
21:00
carry on but there's that sign
21:02
and the very unique pillar that she's
21:05
kind of darting around
21:07
that says myers i'm kind of getting this
21:09
angle trying out to get the glare
21:11
right next to where she was in the same
21:13
spot
21:16
this just really fascinates me i'm
21:17
totally nerding out right now about that
21:19
little
21:20
a little drainage area the sewer grate
21:23
that's that's the same one
21:25
watch out for chains but popping out of
21:27
there there they are kind of flailing
21:28
out of the the side
21:31
notice the little crosswalk there over
21:33
to the side that little little
21:35
kind of bricks that go across the
21:36
walkway all right it looks as if they
21:38
have redone the little crosswalk
21:40
they have not redone the little sewage
21:42
area there even has a little manhole on
21:43
and everything she then runs right past
21:45
this very spot
21:47
there is
21:48
some flames and whatnot just kind of
21:51
effervescently flowing from a pole right
21:53
about there
21:54
and then she runs down this very road
21:58
down this section and they are
22:00
definitely on a crane
22:02
where they go up really high a really
22:04
good kind of aerial view about 10 feet
22:06
higher than where i am now downhill i
22:08
think it was a pretty well
22:10
choreographed scene a lot happening
22:13
those stun actors in the cars
22:15
things blowing up look at this little
22:17
wall over here
22:19
that's what i'm walking past so i'm
22:20
walking down the sidewalk
22:22
and that wall i just pinpointed
22:25
is that wall there so i'm kind of
22:26
walking parallel to where she was
22:28
running down
22:31
through this section of downtown now a
22:33
lot of these storefronts and businesses
22:34
look a lot different they have
22:36
repurposed them
22:38
over the years but i was able to figure
22:40
out exactly where
22:43
well i could not i could not find the
22:44
spot where the manhole cover kind of
22:45
flies towards her
22:47
that that storefront looks a lot
22:49
different but i did
22:51
pinpoint where the tv scenes where she
22:54
leans over she's trying to arrest catch
22:55
her breath and then
22:57
sees the the tvs the tvs were right here
23:00
in this yarn store called gate city
23:03
yarns completely been redone but this is
23:05
where the tvs were the reason i know
23:06
that is because the address scene right
23:09
when she walks past it
23:10
there was a door right here okay kind of
23:12
tough to see it's blurry but two two
23:14
nine and a half
23:16
which is the same spot
23:18
that i am now standing
23:20
and as she kind of like slows down
23:23
she stands right next to that which
23:25
would have been
23:26
this which looks a little bit different
23:28
than it did back then where the tvs were
23:30
and when she looks across at her former
23:31
partner the newscast doc he's walking
23:34
across from this angle too you can see
23:36
where he's walking across just adjacent
23:37
to this oh wow i'm just discovering this
23:41
so the the awning the lower awning down
23:43
here looks the same except i i think
23:46
they have been built onto
23:49
they extended this out and notice how
23:51
this corner piece is
23:53
with the screws there you notice how
23:54
there's like a separate piece
23:56
i believe that they created the tvs into
23:59
the walkway
24:01
of what is the current
24:03
storefront because this still looks the
24:04
same
24:05
and then when they kind of like they
24:07
kind of exploded the tvs
24:09
this is the walkway into that store but
24:11
pay attention down here down here to the
24:12
way this looks it looks as if they
24:15
extended this out because this is the
24:18
angle i was just showing so she would
24:19
have been like this standing against the
24:22
tvs
24:23
so instead of destroying the store front
24:26
they just destroyed something they built
24:28
onto this
24:30
it makes sense to me after seeing that
24:32
that frame
24:33
it makes sense and then camera head her
24:35
former partner doc has a camera wedged
24:37
in his noggin
24:38
comes walking across and notice that
24:40
little embankment behind him as he's
24:42
crossing that's a little brick
24:44
embankment and the building across the
24:46
street with the window still looks the
24:48
same right about there same building
24:49
across the way and there's that little
24:51
brick embankment now a few feet over but
24:53
this is kind of the angle more or less
25:01
that's pretty dang cool
25:01
and before the window is destroyed she
25:03
runs away
25:07
and notice just over her shoulders
25:08
this kind of tin unique
25:10
little pillar there
25:11
okay that's that's standing right next
25:13
to where i'm showing this too and the
25:14
awning down there on the end has been
25:15
removed but that
25:17
10 unique pillar i was just talking
25:19
is this one
25:21
so built on to facade onto that
25:24
that's the same tin area there where she
25:26
kind of running away and then
25:29
the window was destroyed the fake window
25:30
they built on this yarn some great lines
25:33
when they're going down the street ready
25:34
for your close-up joey
25:37
she goes past this theater there's
25:38
another theater you're gonna see the
25:40
exterior but she runs right underneath
25:41
this
25:42
some great it's it's a quirky film oh
25:45
they still have their wreaths up even in
25:46
the february once again movie magic she
25:48
appears from down there and then
25:52
instantaneously is up here on this
25:54
corner which you assume she's going the
25:56
other way but really it's back up here
25:57
toward this other theater back on the
25:59
corner of east february one in elm
26:02
again
26:03
and she runs right past
26:06
this this very pillar
26:09
continues to go up
26:10
and it is really a lot of action taking
26:13
place through here
26:14
with the bottom of this marquee
26:16
emitting a lot of
26:21
a lot of interesting things are
26:21
happening right through here
26:23
she did a pretty good job running along
26:25
bottom of the marquee just kind of
26:29
all the lights and everything
26:32
go everywhere
26:34
and then across the way
26:37
right over there is the brick wall
26:40
that the bartender comes busting out of
26:44
well he was the bartender and he was
26:46
emitting flames out of his face
26:49
it busted through that very wall here's
26:51
what the bottom of that marquee looked
26:52
like
26:54
action-packed
26:57
now before he bust out you can see the
26:58
brick wall
27:00
which obviously they use a fake brick
27:01
wall with foam bricks
27:03
probably on a set somewhere but the
27:05
brick wall there looks the same almost
27:08
the same formations of the bricks that's
27:10
in the same spot across the way
27:12
so take a look at that and let's match
27:13
the bricks up isn't that interesting
27:15
they had a construction banner going
27:18
across
27:19
kind of shielding all of this that you
27:21
couldn't see it but these bricks
27:23
look pretty much identical with the
27:25
coloration and everything and the
27:27
pattern of them
27:28
directly across from that theater
27:32
and the woolworth's here where she first
27:34
started the chase
27:36
going down that way all shot out of
27:38
context and out of continuity different
27:40
different directions
27:42
passing the theater and then ending
27:46
mail truck has moved too since i was
27:47
down there filming but ending down there
27:49
at that right at this very busy
27:51
intersection of east market
27:55
they had two cruisers
27:58
right here
27:59
she was trying to explain
28:02
you know to the officers watch we got to
28:03
get out of here we got to get out of
28:05
here and the two cruisers did not
28:07
survive there
28:09
and this building here could be seen
28:11
as every all the everything culminated
28:14
right underneath this very building in
28:16
this very street
28:18
kind of a very funny scene is when the
28:20
bartender
28:21
or was the bartender ended up
28:24
he was he'd always bring his alcohol
28:26
with him
28:27
and
28:28
kind of spitted it out threw it over
28:30
towards the cars that were here in this
28:32
intersection
28:33
and the one officer was like gasoline
28:36
yet it was only about three ounces
28:39
of gasoline which culminated
28:42
into quite
28:43
an effervescent amount of flames
28:46
up the side of this and right here in
28:48
the middle
28:49
dramatic
28:51
so good so so corny and cheesy but
28:54
fantastic
28:55
and it all
28:57
well towards the it wasn't quite the
28:58
very end but pretty towards the end of
28:59
the film happened right here looking
29:02
looking down elm
29:04
right like that there's one final spot i
29:06
want to find the front of the church
29:08
building
29:09
and that'll be it and i think i've
29:11
covered everything as far as the
29:12
exteriors
29:13
you know
29:14
interiors as far as stuff like that
29:17
on sound stages and whatnot but exterior
29:19
is it's got most of the spots now the
29:21
building itself is very
29:23
noticeable and unique
29:25
it's pretty easy to figure out because
29:27
of the circular pattern there
29:29
on the middle
29:31
as she runs up the last set of stairs
29:35
i always wonder about how thing you know
29:37
productions go because
29:39
as the story goes
29:41
they wanted to utilize the inside of one
29:43
of the
29:44
local churches if not this one that they
29:46
use the exterior for
29:49
they said no
29:52
none of the congregations in town
29:54
wanted a scene of that those proportions
29:57
which understandably
30:06
doing horrible things inside their
30:07
but it makes me wonder when she ran up
30:09
this did they have permission
30:11
to utilize this or did they just get it
30:13
real quick because the scene it only
30:14
lasts about
30:16
10 15 seconds
30:18
as she goes up the side i believe the
30:20
camera
30:21
kind of starts down here in fact you can
30:22
see the blemishes
30:24
down here where the rock work is
30:26
and then she just kind of goes up
30:28
the angles like that
30:30
and then as she goes farther up
30:32
you see the bottom portion of that
30:35
and the priest was played you know on a
30:36
sound stage because they were not
30:38
allowed to be inside here by clayton
30:40
hill
30:40
who was in romero's 78 dawn
30:44
the sweater zombie i got to meet him
30:45
once at a convention
30:47
years ago
30:49
before he passed
30:51
pretty neat that he was he was also in
30:53
hellraiser 3. and that's going to do it
30:55
for
30:56
today from the greensboro high point
30:59
area of north carolina
31:01
i'll see you in the next video the vlog
31:04
is over or as doc would say
31:06
you know he had the the cam he was the
31:08
camera head
31:09
and the camera embedded in there
31:11
pinhead did that to him
31:14
that's a wrap
