Thunder Island - ABANDONED - Water Park w/ Vultures !
http://ww.AdamTheWoo.com - PLEASE SUBSCRIBE - Just outside Indianapolis sits Thunder Island, a water park nearly forgotten. It is now home to snakes, turtles and vultures ! I decided to check it out . Enjoy .
Update: The turtle is a Painted Turtle and can survive months at a time underwater. The buzzards are turkey vultures. Scary when up close in dark room.

I don't know.
0:03
We don't even ask.
0:25
Welcome everyone. I'm here today in
0:25
Indiana once again with Bill right here.
0:28
Hey again. Last time I was hanging out
0:30
with him, it was deathly cold
0:38
and we were underneath an insane asylum,
0:38
if you will, in the cold nether regions
0:40
of the tunnels. Well, today there are no
0:42
tunnels. There's just this wilderness
0:44
behind us. This was an old water park
0:48
called Thunder Island. Thunder Island.
0:53
So, we're going to go check it out. Join
0:55
us, shall you?
1:13
What do you think those are for?
1:13
I wonder if we turned them on, would the
1:15
water start flowing? We could have our
1:16
own water park.
1:18
We could reach down in there and turn it
1:19
on. I always try to turn the water on.
1:21
You can do the honors this time. Turn it
1:23
on. It's not working.
1:25
No. No water out here.
1:27
Somebody didn't pay the bill.
1:35
Like over there is the meter. What is
1:35
that in the
1:37
What is that in the woods? Is that down
1:39
in there?
1:53
What do you got there? Looks
1:53
like bone to me.
1:56
Look inside of it.
1:58
Yeah, that's definitely some sort of a
1:59
bone.
2:23
What's that, buddy? You warning us?
2:23
What are you warning us? Are you war?
2:26
What?
2:28
What's that?
2:30
Repeat yourself.
2:57
Whoa. Is that a snake?
2:57
Is that a snake?
2:58
I think it's a rope.
2:59
You can see the steps down there with
3:01
the sun glistening off the water. People
3:04
would have just walked right down into
3:05
the pool. Not sure if this was a ride or
3:09
just a waiting pool. Whoa. What was
3:11
that? What was that?
3:13
Frog.
3:15
Scared. I think you scared me more than
3:17
the frog did.
3:19
thinking maybe there was a diving board
3:21
right there at some point. You're just
3:24
dive in the water. I'm diving in. I'm
3:26
diving in, Dad.
3:33
No more diving board
3:33
and no more dads or children.
3:38
Creepy.
3:39
Please step this way to our wonderful
3:41
Linda Blair waiting pool. Extra chunky
3:43
pea style.
3:50
Gross.
3:50
Bill's going up the slide. Look at that.
3:52
There's a slide coming down the side of
3:54
the hill
3:56
and straight down into this.
4:03
Wonder what's living under there. The
4:03
chuds.
4:04
The chuds live under there. Maybe the
4:06
chuds. That could be where the chuds
4:09
live. The chuds. There any chuds in
4:13
there? Chuds.
4:26
Just think about all the kids and
4:26
parents that slid down this slide. Of
4:28
course, that was before these massive
4:32
thorn bushes. Look at these thorns.
4:35
That is not pleasant. Look at the size
4:38
of these
4:40
massive thorns.
4:44
That does not make for a good water park
4:47
water slide experience, that's for sure.
4:51
Thorns.
4:58
What the heck do you think lives down in
4:58
there? That's pretty scary right there.
5:00
Hidden Mickey.
5:13
A little momento.
5:13
What's over there?
5:14
More slides.
5:16
One going up here. Actually looks like
5:18
it goes pretty high. There's another
5:20
goes down here.
5:22
Probably like a waiting pool in the
5:24
middle of the slide itself.
5:27
Ah,
5:28
isn't it ironic that there's no water on
5:31
the slides and only yucky rainwater
5:35
festering around, but up here is crisp,
5:38
cold, fresh water just off the horizon
5:41
in that water tower.
5:43
If only we could get there and bring it
5:47
here.
5:49
Oh, check it out. A turtle. What's up,
5:51
buddy?
5:53
Come on out.
5:56
Come on out and say hi.
5:59
He's shy.
6:00
What kind of a turtle is that?
6:02
Not a clue.
6:03
I don't know either. He was up there on
6:05
the hill with no water around. So, we're
6:07
going to do the honorable thing and put
6:10
him back towards the water. Let's go,
6:12
Turtle.
6:26
Go, turtle. Go.
6:26
There he goes.
6:27
Hi.
6:28
Be free, turtle.
6:42
This looks like what must have been the
6:42
kiddie pool. You can see how shallow it
6:44
is. Made of concrete,
6:47
full of water. And there's another
6:48
little one over there as well. Maybe
6:51
they were twin kitty pools. There's no
6:53
telling what's living down in there.
6:56
Look how gross and gunky that water is.
7:00
That's been festoning
7:03
for years. Oh my gosh. Look at that
7:08
crazy algae. You can see where the paint
7:10
used to be. The blue paint that went
7:12
around the concrete for the theming. Now
7:15
it's all been peeled off. That looks
7:17
like a face. Look at that. That's the
7:19
eye, the nose, and the mouth. Looks like
7:21
some sort of medieval
7:23
cloud monster. Viking cloud monster.
7:28
Hello.
7:31
He's blowing the wind like a cloud
7:33
monster.
8:06
Got some wildlife down in there.
8:06
Definitely some creatures of the wild in
8:08
this pool. See them splashing around.
8:11
It's like that movie Frogs.
8:13
I keep waiting for Sam Elliot to come
8:15
busting out of the woods.
8:18
Taa.
8:20
My guess would be that the slides came
8:22
right out of these three circular tube
8:25
areas in the concrete.
8:34
Look at this old tile. Probably a
8:36
building here. A snack bar or maybe
8:39
where you returned your rubber rafts or
8:42
rubber padding mats when you came down
8:44
the slide. Please return your rubber
8:46
mats here. right here. Rubber mats need
8:50
to be returned here.
8:58
This is actually one of the rubber mats
8:58
that were used on the slide. Just think
9:00
a child or an adult sliding down on
9:03
their stomach having a good time.
9:05
Someone named Steve or Billy
9:08
or Barbara or Janette or Henry or Hank
9:12
could have been using this having a good
9:15
time and now it's just here left to rot
9:17
in the woods. We're just going to leave
9:18
it right here as a momento to a former
9:22
place.
9:23
It's like a tombstone.
9:24
It is. It's like a tombstone.
9:26
It's a foam tombstone.
9:46
Old metal wooden concrete stairway.
9:46
There's a ramp here and the hole.
9:48
Oh, the final hole. All this whole woods
9:51
has grown up over this whole area.
9:54
See all the old holes and the wood
9:57
surrounding the holes and the green
9:59
mats.
10:04
Usually trees pop up right through where
10:04
the hole used to be. See? Ball would
10:06
have rolled down right into the hole.
10:08
Now there's a tree.
10:16
Hole in one. Where's my glasses? My
10:16
glass. Lost my glasses. Oh, wait. There
10:18
they are. Woo. Can't lose you, buddy.
10:22
Looks like someone's been out here
10:24
performing some sort of a ritual. And
10:26
they were obviously shackled. They were
10:29
shackled.
10:54
The piping up here.
10:54
Yeah. The water probably came out of
10:55
Yeah. down like a waterfall into this
10:59
little area. Now it's all grown over.
11:03
Just imagine the water flowing all
11:05
beautifully right there.
11:44
Be very quiet. Vultures. Vultures.
11:44
There's vultures there. Oh my gosh. This
11:47
is creepy.
11:49
Holy cow.
12:00
What's that noise?
12:00
What is that?
12:14
Oh my gosh. He's looking at us.
12:14
Why are they in here?
12:18
That's so creepy.
12:39
Is that the wind? I don't see any wind.
12:39
The trees are moving.
12:45
Is that the noise the vultures are
12:45
making?
12:47
They're missing.
12:57
There he is. Set them missing.
12:57
Oh my god.
13:21
Thanks for joining us everyone. I can
13:21
safely say that was the first experience
13:22
where I wandered into a creepy building
13:24
and saw buzzards firsthand staring at
13:27
us, flesh eating monsters. So that was a
13:29
little interesting. Thanks again to Bill
13:31
for joining me. Our second video
13:33
together. If you want to watch the one
13:35
we did in the wintertime, just click
13:37
right up here and you can see that video
13:39
through the tunnels and through the
13:40
winter snow last year. Also check out my
13:43
daily channel. want to do a different
13:45
video every single day. It's called the
13:46

13:49
out and you check it out for sure. And
13:52
Bill and I will see you next time. Have
13:54
a great day. Bye.
14:02
The trees have sprung up in memorial to
14:02
where the fountain once was.
14:05
Once water, now trees that require
14:08
water. Funing to the sky.
14:13
King of the world. Ma, you said I
14:15
wouldn't get anywhere and I'm on top of
14:16
the world now.
14:22
Help us.
14:22
Help us, plane.
14:24
Help us, plane. Come back.
14:27
We're stranded down here. Help us. Help
14:31
us.
